SO SKINNY IS THE NEW RACISM?

If Barack Obama loses the presidential race, it'll be because...
he has dark skin
he is too liberal
he lacks experience
he is too skinny
he has failed to feature Paris Hilton and Britney Spears in one of his campaign ads
other or multiple from above
Ya don't say ... every day we see someone who wants to injects race into this presidential campaign. Often times it is coming right from the Big O himself. Other times it is coming from Democrats (like Bill Clinton) or other liberals. This time it comes from Timothy Noah on Slate.com.

Do you remember a few days ago when I read you a column from the Wall Street Journal about whether or not Barack Obama's skinniness would be a liability in the campaign? Well according to Timothy Noah, this was a racist article. Was the article lacking in journalistic expertise? Perhaps. But racist? Timothy Noah is just asking for a good whopping with this one. Look at how hard he has to try to "prove" his point.

"When white people are invited to think about Obama's physical appearance, the principal attribute they're likely to dwell on is his dark skin. Consequently, any reference to Obama's other physical attributes can't help coming off as a coy walk around the barn. The sad fact is that any discussion of Obama's physical appearance is going to remind white people of the physical characteristic that's most on their minds."

I told you folks. Ultimately race is going to play a bigger an bigger role in this election. Now we have this Slate Magazine "journalist" telling us that referring to Obama's weight somehow constitutes a comment about his being black. This is honestly what this election has come down to. It is all about skin color. There will be virtually NOTHING that anyone can say about Barack Obama that will not, if negative, be about race.

You think this is bad during the election? Wait until he's president! Any disagreement with any Obama policy will be race based. Racial polarization? You haven't seen anything yet.

LIBERAL "LOGIC"

Now here is an interesting take on the idea of "playing the race card." This is a column from uber-leftist Cynthia Tucker, the editorial page editor of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. This is a newspaper with a decidedly liberal bent wondering why it is failing in a newspaper marketplace that is not liberal. As they say ... duhhhhhhh.

Anyway, working your way through Tucker's "logic" in this article we see that Barack Obama (she's obviously a huge fan) tells the voters that McCain is going to try to turn them against him because he "doesn't look like the other presidents on those dollar bills." Now we know that Obama wasn't referring to his short hair, and other presidents have had big ears --- so there is no possibility other than the fact that Obama was referring to his race. Unless you're the editorial page editor of the AJC you will recognize this as Obama inserting race into the campaign. Not the first time he's done it, by the way. A McCain spokesman calls Obama on his tactic .. and there's Tucker ready to leap to his defense. Suddenly McCain's camp has dived deeply into the "Karl Rove playbook") with what she calls the curious claim that Barack is playing the race card.

Curious? Do any of you see this claim as curious? Obama tells the nation that the evil Republicans are going to going to try to make Americans afraid of him because he's black (no other interpretation of the dollar bill remark), the McCain camp calls him on it, and Tucker thinks that's curious?

Obama is falling in the polls. He'll rise and fall again .. but the fact that he hasn't taken the commanding lead that the Democrats think is his by right will drive them more and more toward the racial arguments and taunts in this election. Remember that black caller on my show who said that if you don't vote for Obama you're either a racist or a Nazi? I guarantee you, more of that is on the way.

By the way ... just so you know. A Wall Street Journal poll showed that a greater percentage of blacks are going to vote for Obama strictly on the basis of skin color than whites who will vote against him for the same reason. What's that about removing the plank from thine own eye?

Let's consult the scorecard. Listenership to the Neal Boortz Show in Atlanta is higher than the circulation figures for the AJC. We're owned by the same company. Get the picture?

OBAMA'S ILLEGAL DONORS

Yesterday on the program I hinted at this story, but never really got the chance to cover it. I guess I was just too distracted by our new seal that were here at the Boortz Show created for The Big O. If you didn't get to see it, check out yesterday's Nuze.

A vigilant citizen has discovered that the Barack Obama campaign has accepted tens of thousands of dollars from two brothers in Palestine. Monir and Hosam Edwan are from a large refugee camp in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. Monir Edwan has donated over $24,000 to the Obama campaign. His brother, Hosam, has donated over $5,000 to the Messiah. How did they get away with this? Well they listed their address as being from Rafah, GA – a town that does not exist in the state of Georgia. If the Obama people had done their homework they might have discovered this little fact. Not only have the brothers donated well over the $2,300 limit for one person during a single election, but they are clearly not American. You don't think they could be Muslims, do you?

WHERE TEACHERS UNIONS SPEND THEIR MONEY

Teachers Unions are the most dangerous institution in this country. What terrifies the teachers unions the most is competition ... rather than working to make more out of their pitiful excuse for a government education, they would rather work to stifle the competition – homeschooling, private schools and, the most vicious idea of all, school vouchers!

Just a glimpse into where the teachers unions choose to spend their dues should tell you volumes about the values that they hold near and dear to the hearts. Every year, teachers who are members of the NEA pay into a "Ballot Measure/Legislative Crises Fund." This is where the money comes from to influence politicians ... not for sake of education, but for the sake of making sure that they can keep their cushy baby-sitting jobs without having to worry about losing them to the competitive forces of the free marketplace.

In 2007-2008, the NEA spent $2.3 million fighting to make sure that the state of Utah did not approve a school voucher program. That's on top of the $1 million they had already spent the year before fighting against the program. Take a look at some other issues the teachers unions have fought ...

In the 2007-2008 fiscal year, the NEA sent the Hawaii State Teachers Association $20,000 to conduct polling on a state constitutional convention.

During the same time period, the NEA sent the Massachusetts Teachers Association $60,000 to oppose a state income-tax repeal.

And in Florida, the NEA sent the Florida Education Association $200,000 to oppose property-tax cuts.

Why, by the way, would they oppose tax cuts? The more money government has, the more there is available to pay teachers for their "work."

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT YESTERDAY...

Here's our new seal for Barack Obama. Discussion here.

REDNECK SCRAP BOOK

You know, I bet a paint job would've cost much less than all those stickers, eh? More in the Redneck Scrap Book.

Parents in the UK will be receiving letters from the government informing them that their child is obese. Well actually, they won't actually call them "obese," but "very overweight."

John McCain wants his wife to do WHAT? I mean, a beauty contest at a huge biker rally is going to be nothing but good, clean, innocent fun, right?
