JUST A FEW INSENSITIVE THOUGHTS FOR TODAY ...
It would seem that I slept in just a bit.
OK, just why does Obama have such a difficult time identifying the terrorists
he admits we have to fight as ISLAMIC! Know your enemy, pal ... and don't be so
afraid to identify them.
I wonder how many of our esteemed minimum wage folks were fired yesterday
because now they have to be paid way more than they're worth. If you work
longer than about 20 pay periods at the minimum wage, and can't manage a raise,
just fold your tent and go home. You aren't going to amount to squat.
The truth hurts, doesn't it?
Nice words from Obama yesterday. Now just what did he say? Somehow I don't
remember him saying anything about how he is going to punish achievement and
reward laziness when he gets in office. I also didn't hear him say how he was
going to jump every time union bosses say "frog" for the next four years. Must
not have been listening close enough.
Not to Obama: I am not a "citizen of the world." I am a citizen of the
United States of America. I am an inhabitant of the world. There's a
difference.
I wonder how many members of the American media had to go clean themselves up
after Obama finished thrilling the Germans with his powerful oratory yesterday.
In a recent survey, people from Detroit have proved to be the most likely to
have had sex in the shower. In the survey, carried out for a leading toiletries
outfit, 86% of Detroit residents said that they have had, if not enjoyed, sex in
the shower. The other 14% said they haven't yet served any time in prison.
If Obama wins the presidency one positive side effect will be the end of
affirmative (discrimination) action. There will be no more excuses.
A few days ago the South China Post (Hong Kong) reported that Chinese
authorities had ordered bars in the Olympic tourist areas not to sell alcohol to
Mongolians or people with black skin. That's as far as the story went. I guess
we don't want to upset the Chicoms do we?
A LETTER TO THE EDITOR
This letter was originally published by the Clayton News Daily (Jonesboro,
GA) on July 4th, 2007.
To the editors:
Today is July 4th, our country's Independence Day, and 231 years
ago, our forefathers won this for all to enjoy. Today, our country has more
freedoms and wealth than any other in the world. We have all of our freedoms
granted to us by the U.S. Constitution. This document sets the standards for
all Americans to be guaranteed their freedoms and rights.
Of all the freedoms and rights granted to each American, it is
not the news reporter or politician, who ensures that each American enjoys these
rights, but it is the American Service Member (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines,
and Coast Guard.) This is the person who every American should be thanking
every day, for what they do.
Even though less than 1 percent of the American population serves
in the military, it is that sacrifice made by an individual to help protect and
guarantee these freedoms. While enjoying the day's festivals celebrating our
country's birth, take the time and effort to thank a veteran, or a current
service member for their sacrifice in helping to protect your freedom.
If you are unable to thank a vet, say thanks to either the
parents or the spouse of a vet, because they are the ones, who worry the most,
while the service member is away, protecting your freedoms.

A NOTE TO MY TAMPA FRIENDS
Thank you so much. I am overwhelmed at the outpouring of support I've
received since my Tampa affiliate decided to go with a local show. This is part
of the daily life of syndication .. programs get dropped ... and programs get
picked up ... but NEVER have I seen this reaction from listeners. It's
heartwarming, and I thank you profusely. Even today, two weeks later, the emails
are pouring in. On the other hand, I can't say that the officials at WWBA are
all that thankful for your reaction. The reaction has been so intense that
they've found it necessary to disable the email addresses to various station
honchos. I can honestly say, though, that the number of emails we have received
since the show was yanked is completely unprecedented and very gratifying. I
didn't know I was so loved there. To answer your question: Yes! There are
some other Tampa talk stations who want to take the show. Negotiations are
ongoing. It wouldn't hurt if you chimed in with your support to your now
new-favorite talk station. In the meantime,
please listen via the Internet. As soon as we get another Tampa affiliate
lined up I'll wing my way down there and we'll have ourselves a nice little
celebration.

Here's that Investor's Business daily article about the
media donations to Democrats.
Apparently Barack Obama would rather make speeches in front of hundreds of
thousands of Germans
than visit American troops serving overseas.
It appears that Barack Obama wants to
"remake the world" as president of the United States. I guess that is what
he means by "change." Do we really want our world remade? Think of the things
they could screw up.
When Barack Obama jokes about
reporters distributing fliers for the campaign in Berlin, a cable news
correspondent replies: "We have been. It's called television."
Oh and one other thing about Obama's speech ...
there was yet another rock concert before he spoke. Seems to be a pattern
here.
Now here was a flight for some people to remember. Qantas is expecting some
lost luggage claims.
Nobel Prize winner and Columbia University economist Robert Mundell says that
letting the Bush tax cuts expire would
cause "a big recession, a nosedive."
How much do you know about the
Office of Congressional Ethics? Isn't that an oxymoron?
Global warming? How about the
coldest summer on record for Anchorage, Alaska.
For all you OwlGore worshippers ... you can now enroll your toddlers into
eco-day care centers that will indoctrinate your children in the ways of
"green" living at a young age.
But guess what??
People aren't buying the "green" issue. I guess it's not very sexy.
Some government schools in the US are considering
a four day school week to save on energy costs. How about just shutting
them down and letting the parents take over.
The battle to
carry a concealed weapon in state parks continues.
A man in the UK was given
a $30 fine for smoking at work ... but he's a self employed painter, and he
was smoking in his van.
British police have started to
post recordings of "unusual" emergency calls on YouTube in order to deter
people from making unnecessary reports.
A five-year-old boy managed to escape from his daycare center and make his
way across the street ...
to a Hooters. Good boy.
Neal read this fun bit about "the messiah" on the air today. We know you'll
enjoy sharing "He
ventured forth to bring light to the world." |
