D-DAY
Sadly, this means little to so may Americans. Do you remember Saving Private Ryan and those graphic portrayals of the Allied landing on the beaches of Normandy? Well, that was 64 years ago on June 6, 1944. Over 850,000 troops were involved in the invasion. It wasn't until mid-July that the Allied forces were able to break through the German lines. On that day in 1944 the president read a special prayer for the soldiers about to launch the invasion. You'll hear that prayer on the show today. In case you missed it, listen again here. | NEAL ON TV THIS WEEKEND Set the DVR, Neal will be on Sean Hannity's America Sunday night at 9pm on the Fox News Channel. Do you think they'll have something to say about Hillary? |
HILLARY AS A THIRD PARTY CANDIDATE?
I'm starting to see these ideas buzzing in the blogosphere and in the media ... would Hillary Clinton consider running as a third party candidate? No way in hell. Let's get serious here, folks. There is no way that Hillary would consider leaving her party ... the one where she was once the queen, entitled to the throne. Think of the reaction from Democrat fundraisers, her colleagues in the Senate, and other iconic Democrat leaders. Think of the reaction from Barack Obama supporters ... she's trying to take down the black man. There are just too many reasons why Hillary can't leave the Democrat party. The main one is that nobody likes her that much. This is all so sad, isn't it? Hillary has been denied what she certainly thought was rightly hers. Sucks to be her right now, I guess.
UNITED NATIONS INSULTED BY JEWISH GROUP
The United Nations Committee on NGOs had a meeting the other day to decide whether or not to strip a Reform Jewish group of their NGO status because they offended Muslim UN members. The group is called the World Union. Back in January the Human Rights Council had a little session called "Human Rights Violations Emanating from Israeli Military Incursions in the Occupied Territories." At this session, exclusively focused on Israel, the World Union representative tried to read passages from the Hamas charter that calls for the destruction of Israel. The presiding officer interrupted the reading three times because he said that Hamas' ideology was not the topic of the session. Before the World Union representative sat down he told the presiding officer that "something is rotten in the state of this council." Amen. So because of this statement, UN representatives from Muslim countries are complaining that they have been insulted. As a result, the UN is now is deciding whether or not he organization will be able to keep its NGO status. The UN has always been an enemy of the state of Israel .. not to mention the United States. Let's get McCain's idea for a League of Democracies under way and get rid of this foul and putrid stench on the East River.
A STEP BACKWARDS FOR IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT
Thanks to one Oklahoma judge, illegal immigration enforcement has taken a step in the wrong direction. Since November 2007, illegal immigrants in Oklahoma cannot receive taxpayer-supported services and it is illegal to transport or harbor illegal immigrants. But U.S. District Judge Robin J. Cauthron has decided that parts of the law that are to go into effect July 1st are "probably unconstitutional." The part the judge is referring to is the one that punishes employers for failing to comply with the federal employee verification system. The assumption is that this will probably establish the state pre-empting federal law on immigration. And this law "unfairly shifts" the burden of immigration enforcement from the government to businesses ... because the government has done such a great job of immigration enforcement. Why can't these judges just sit back and allow us to enforce our immigration laws? We're being invaded, and we get decisions like this. WHAT A FREAKING IDIOT
This woman must be government educated. Because only someone educated by the government would devise a plan as stupid as the one I'm about to tell you about. There is a woman in Danville, California. She's 64-years-old. Probably wears her hair in a bun. Probably lives with a couple of cats. But this woman wakes up one morning and decides that she is sick and tired of paying for gas. She is just fed up with these high prices. This is the moment in the story where rational thought ends. This is when the government educated mind takes over. So she goes and grabs some logs out of her fire place and marches to a nearby gas station. She takes the logs, lights a match and sets the gas station on fire. Then she marches to yet another gas station and does the same thing. And then, just for giggles, she goes over to her neighborhood Starbucks and lights it up too. This is how this idiot woman wants to protest gas prices. Does she actually believe that the gas stations have any control over the price of gas? Does she really believe that by setting a business on fire ... by starting a fire on private property ... that she is single-handedly going to take down the evil oil empire? This, my friends, is a government educated fool. And now she is in jail where the taxpayers will take care of her butt. Her bail is posted at $810,000. The cops are still trying to figure out why in the hell she tried to burn down Starbucks if she was upset with gas prices. Maybe lattes give her gas. OH NO! IS CRISTINA A TERRORIST SYMPATHIZER???

We at the Boortz Show are beside ourselves this morning. Cristina showed up to work looking like this. Oh, and if you have no idea what's going on here, read this. READING ASSIGNMENTS Umpire hit by ball...did the catcher let it hit the umpire on purpose? Is it the catcher's fault? Have a look at the video and leave a comment. Some of the articles that I'll probably discuss on the air today: "The Man They Love" by Rich Lowry. "The Gas Prices We Deserve" just excellent, from George Will. "Obama and McCain and Iran" Thomas Sowell. "Canada vs. Mark Steyn: A Show Trial" David Warren Geraldine Ferraro wants Barack Obama fundraisers to pick up the tab for Hillary's campaign debt. Barack Obama wants to make "openness" an issue in this campaign ... good luck with that one. The House unveiled legislation yesterday that would require federal energy market regulators to oversee all crude oil trading. Not all crude oil trading takes place under the regulatory authority of the U.S. Government. This ought to work out real well. An Iraqi veteran has written an article saying why it is important for Barack Obama to go to Iraq. In Robert Mugabe's Zimbabwe, US and British diplomats were attacked and detained at a roadblock outside the capital city. They have since been released. According to Nancy Pelosi, class action lawyers are part of the "struggling middle class." And guess what? She managed to use your tax dollars to help them out! One of the accused 9/11 plotters on trial is upset that the courtroom artist did not accurately draw his Muslim nose. Even though this guy is a Democrat, he does ask a good question: "Are you too dumb to vote?" It's 2008 and we are still having a problem of dead people showing up on ballot records. Here we have another government hack in North Carolina who hasn't paid a single penny on the mortgage in almost a year. Two lesbians in Seattle got in trouble for boxing tonsils in the stands of a Seattle Mariners' baseball game. New York City wants to create an ambulance for "organ removal" ... and somehow this becomes a racial issue? But wait .. I forgot. Pretty much everything is a racial issue these days. Atlanta drivers have come up with a clever way to get "free" gas ... just run out of it and the taxpayers will come along to help. Could there be yet another strike in Hollywood? Just what we need ... more reality TV. |
