INTEMPERATE QUESTION
Can anyone name a more inexperienced presidential candidate in modern American history than Barack Obama?
THE WORLD HAS SPOKEN Yesterday we saw these news report start to trickle in ... "the world welcomed the news" that Barack Obama is to be the Democrat nominee for president. The world is excited ... Obama emerges as a "global phenomenon" ... blah blah blah. Symbolically, Barack Obama has hypnotized the world. He is absolutely charismatic, eloquent and black. These are not attributes we wish to take away from Barack Obama ... but these are not the only things that make someone a good president. Here's a very telling sentence from one of these "global phenomenon" articles. It said, "The excitement was less about Obama's foreign policieswhich remain vague on many frontsthan a sense that the candidacy of a black American with relatives in Africa and childhood friends in Asia marks a historic moment." That seems to sum it up. People aren't too excited about what Barack Obama actually stands for. In fact, most of Barack's drooling supporters probably couldn't tell you five issues that Barack Obama supports, not to mention the fact that they can't name one thing he has ever accomplished. But now I guess we can add one notch to his belt ... defeating Hillary Clinton for the nomination. That was one helluva fight. Let's take a look at some of the quotes from around the world? Here, according to the world, is why Americans should vote for Obama. Barack Obama is for the people compared to Bush who was for the elite; that from a hairdresser in Mexico City. That's interesting, because I seem to recall Obama having a problem on the campaign trail of coming across as "elitist," particularly after his remarks in San Francisco about guns and God. But what do I know. Here's another quote from a Vietnamese real estate salesman. He says, "[Obama] seems to be a peace lover." I sure wish people would define what they mean by "peace" when they use that word. Remember, someone living in an isolation cell in a maximum security prison is living in peace. While you're considering all of this love pouring in from around the world about Obama; consider this. Recent polling in Europe (soon to be Eurabia) show that the majority of Europeans want to see a weaker United States? Could this be why they love Barack so? WILL TONY REZKO MATTER?
Barack Obama's buddy Tony Rezko was convicted of fraud and money laundering charges yesterday. For those of you who might not remember, Tony Rezko was one of those guys that Barack Obama found to be very convenient in helping him achieve political status in Chicago. When Obama came out of law school, Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But since then Rezko donated over $21,000 to Obama and raised a hell of a lot more for Obama's campaigns in Illinois. Rezko also advised Barack and Michelle on the purchase of their new Chicago home. The home was bought next to a vacant lot that was purchased in Rezko's wife's name. The deal was that both pieces of property were supposed to be sold at the same time. Now Obama has since donated $150,000 in Rezko-related contributions to charity. But this is just another example of poor judgment on the part of the Obamassiah. Quite a cast of characters, isn't it? Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Michael Pfleger ... these are the people that have propelled Barack Obama into the spotlight. I KNOW WHAT WE NEED ... MORE GOVERNMENT REGULATION
The Senate Commerce Committee had a little hearing on Tuesday. Guess what they are blaming for the sharp increases in oil prices? They are blaming federal agencies for doing a lousy job of regulation. Senator Maria Cantwell said that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Federal Trade Commission need to more aggressively regulate all future markets. There you have it. The government knows what's best and more government regulation is what is going to solve this crisis. Did you get that? The Democrat mentality at work. All it takes to solve any problem is just more government.
Then we have Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota (also a Democrat) who says, "We need a cop and prosecutors on the beat." Yeah, that ought to do it. Treat the oil companies like criminals. Then again, to some politicians the mere earning of a profit is a criminal act. THE POLICE STATE
D.C. police are resorting to police-state like conditions in efforts to curb violence that has permeated their streets. Police Chief Cathy Lanier has issued an executive order to designate "Neighborhood Safety Zones." Police will seal off entire neighborhoods. Then they will set up checkpoints and demand identification from people coming in and out of these zones. Anyone who doesn't live in the "Safety Zone" will be kicked out or face arrest. People who work in these zones will have to prove their employment status to police and others will have to prove they have a "legitimate reason" to be there or they will be sent away. The zones will last up to ten days at a time. One of the freedoms Americans cherish is the freedom of movement. Does anyone see a threat here? CONFEDERATE FLAG AT GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS
In Minnesota, three government high school seniors were suspended and banned from graduation ceremonies for a prank involving Confederate flags. The principal says they were suspended for violating the school district's anti-discrimination rules.
The Bloomington Kennedy High School says that three male students brought the flags onto school property. They were apparently suspended after "carrying and waving" the flags in the parking lot as parents and students arrived at school. Something tells me there is more to this story. Ok, here we have a government school that has suspended some students for bringing a freaking flag on school grounds. There is a part of me that thinks maybe the kids deserve a smack down. They must have know the reaction their little stunt was going to evoke. One of their friends, a girl, is sticking up for the boys. Shel says that this wasn't a prank and that the flags were displayed on the boys' cars but they are not racist. She says, "They've flown the Confederate flag before and simply admire the 'Southern lifestyle' and TV shows such as 'The Dukes of Hazzard.'" You know, there are other ways to celebrate the "Southern lifestyle" than parading around with a Confederate flag strapped to your car. READING ASSIGNMENTS Obama has chosen a three person squad to find his vice president. One of those people includes Caroline Kennedy. Another was deeply involved in Bill Clinton's sordid pardons at the end of his term. Business as usual. Republicans are upset with John McCain for embracing this global warming scam, and Democrats are upset with John McCain for pretending to embrace the global warming scam. The Wall Street Journal has a great piece on the Barack Obama we don't know. Or maybe just the one the mainstream media doesn't want to tell us about. The Wall Street Journal also did a great job on this article about why we went to Iraq. Want to know one reason why we are paying high gas prices? You voted for them ... Some artist thought he was being really clever when he set up his exhibit in New York City, "The Assassination of Hillary Clinton/The Assassination of Barack Obama." A government school advisor in Great Britain is recommending that schools stop teaching "middle class" subjects like history, geography and science and learn skills like energy saving and civic responsibility. We have some pretty unusual polls here on Nealz Nuze, but Time.com had a poll asking, "Should gas and heating oil be rationed until prices come down?" What kind of a stake does Al Gore have in your global warming panic? For all you Nealz Nuze readers in North Dakota, here's a small taste of how your government has spent your tax dollars! What are some of the latest fees that airlines are willing to impose? How about paying a fee just to use the restroom on a plane. A new TV network started last night ... Planet Green will offer all you global warmers out there a chance to catch up on your "eco-tainment." A family in Washington is trying to adopt an Iraqi boy they've had in foster care for two years. The boy was injured after being shot by insurgents and even his mother in Iraq wants him to be adopted by the US family. London has decided to allow cyclists to ride the wrong way on one-way streets ... something tells me this won't end well. A New York man was initially awarded $76.4 million after being shot and paralyzed by a police officer. The state's highest court now has ruled not to award him the money and to make the guy pay $100 in court costs. How could any normal man possibly believe that there is anything even remotely appealing about these monstrosities. Gag and ugg. Warning .. perhaps this is NSFW. Sign Newt's petition...drill here, drill now, pay less. Maybe you're having a bad day at work, but is it this bad? |
