THANK YOU JEREMIAH WRIGHT
Is this man being paid by the Clinton campaign or the McCain campaign? Has
to be Clinton ... McCain doesn't really appear to be ready to fight that hard for
the presidency.
The more we hear from this jerk the more we understand his deep hatred for
this country and all that it stands for. He compares the U.S. Marine Corps to
Roman Legionnaires. He compares the U.S. Flag to the Al Qaeda Flag – and who
knew they had a flag? Did you know that the United States is a terrorist
nation? Why it must be, because Jeremiah Wright say's it is so! Then after
9/11 he comes out with that line about America's chickens coming home to roost.
He credits that line to the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq and points out that the
ambassador was white and "not a black militant." It turns out that our
Ambassador never made those comments at all. What's the deal? A lie or a
mistake?
Then suddenly Jeremiah Wright becomes not just a black pastor ... he becomes
the black church in America! He told that crowd at the National Press Club
yesterday that this isn't an attack on Jeremiah Wright, it's "an attack on the
black church!" Who knew! Can this man's ego get any bigger? Now he's the
black church? Look; a lot of you have attended black churches, and you most
likely didn't hear any of the venom spewed by Jeremiah Wright. Fact is ... he's
just one angry preacher from Chicago who is enjoying his 15 minutes of fame and
is just by-God determined to turn it into something more. I wonder what
speaker's bureau he has signed up with.
TYPICAL
Web Guy (who chooses to remain unnamed) is the poor sap who has to go through
2000 emails a day to select the ones; good, bad and absurd; that get forwarded
to me. He tells me that the email volume has gone up a bit in recent days
fueled by hundreds of people who wish to inform me that my objections to
Jeremiah are all based on my hatred of black people. Oh ... so that explains it.
And don't forget, we give you a selection of hate mail in every Boortz Blast
email newsletter for your amusement.

REQUIRING VOTER ID NOW VALIDATED
Another strong lesson in just why presidents can be so important ... Supreme
Court nominations. Thanks to the work of George W. Bush we have a Supreme Court
that has ruled – on a 6-3 vote – that it is OK for states to require picture IDs
from voters before they cast a vote.
The left is not amused.
And just why is the left not amused? That one is easy. Because the left –
and Democrats in particular – are depending on illegally cast votes for their
future power. Just why do you think Democrats are so dead set against doing
something to control the Hispanic invasion? These people are future voters?
Ask Loretta Sanchez from Southern California how she managed to beat Bob Dornan
in 1996. Illegal votes, that's how. You might not know that Ms. Loretta ran
for office before .. but with her married Anglo name. She changed her last name
to Sanchez and the Hispanic population came out to support her ... and we don't
just mean the legal Hispanic community. When the Republicans wanted to start an
investigation of illegals voting in that election the Democrats predictably
started screaming racism. Racism ... the great Democrat refuge. If there had been
a picture ID requirement in that district in 1996 Loretta Sanchez would never
have been elected.
Did you know that the plaintiffs in the lawsuit to kill the Indiana picture
ID requirement couldn't find any victims? What a tragedy it is when a Democrat
can't find a victim. The plaintiffs could not produce one shred of evidence
that any legal Indiana resident would be prevented from casting a legal vote by
a law requiring a picture ID.
The law that was approved by the Supremes is an Indiana law, and it is very
stringent. Let's see how it affects the Indiana primary.
By the way, Justice Souter in his dissent made some remark about the "right
to vote." Even some of the Justices don't get it.
HILLARY 2012?
Dick Morris seems to believe that Hillary is continuing to battling in this
Democrat primary race with an ulterior motive:
to run again in 2012. By this point, even if she wins many of the upcoming
primaries, the math supports the fact that it is almost impossible for her to
win. But if she continues to beat up on Barack Obama ... then he may not win the
presidency, which would give Hillary the chance to be the Democrat hero in
2012. It's been done before ... and after all, Hillary is entitled to the
presidency, isn't she?
But as of right now,
Hillary is actually leading John McCain in the national polls by 9 points.
Makes no difference. She isn't going to be the nominee.
For a few years at least she is just going to be New York's problem. Then ...
she becomes all of our problem again. Am I going to have to work through
another Hillary campaign?
CONCEDING THE BIOFUEL ARGUMENT ... NOT ME, THE POLITICIANS
But not now ... then.
Finally, somebody in DC is addressing the fact that ethanol production may
have something to do with the increase in world food prices. Gee, ya think? I
wonder what their first clue was.
Just yesterday
Condi Rice said, "There has been apparently some effect, unintended
consequence from the alternative fuels effort." Unintended consequences? Food
costs rising 8% since 2005 ... People, even members of Congress, have been warned
for years about the consequences of mandated ethanol production. Then there's
this article from CNN Money dated back to 2006,
or this one from almost one year ago warning us about ethanol's affect on
food costs. Still not convinced?
Go back to the 2004 election where ethanol was a really nice talking point
for politicians.
The New York Times even pointed out the problem of rising food prices due to
mandatory ethanol production in January of 2006.
To give you one more piece of information,
take a look at this article printed in the Science Daily back in Aug. 8, 2001.
Here is what scientists have known since years:
The approximately $1 billion a year in current federal and state subsidies
(mainly to large corporations) for ethanol production are not the only costs to
consumers, the Cornell scientist observes. Subsidized corn results in higher
prices for meat, milk and eggs because about 70 percent of corn grain is fed to
livestock and poultry in the United States Increasing ethanol production would
further inflate corn prices, Pimentel says, noting: "In addition to paying tax
dollars for ethanol subsidies, consumers would be paying significantly higher
food prices in the marketplace."
Back in 1994 when Al Gore cast the tie breaking vote in the Senate that led
to a methanol mandate from the EPA we were told that "the price of corn flakes
isn't going to go up by one penny." Hind sight truly is 20-20.
FAT ACCEPTANCE
In Massachusetts, the government is taking on
a bill that will ban discrimination against weight and height ... in other
words, being a lard ass would be protected the same as your gender or race or
age.
There are actually "fat acceptance" movements that want obesity to be a
legally protected category against discrimination. They have groups such as the
National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance. A professor of women's studies
at the University of Michigan says that this movement is important because it
sends a message that fat people are equal citizens. Right now, obese people can
seek protection under the Americans with Disabilities act, but they have to
prove that the disability is caused by physical traits beyond their control.
Well ... guess what? Fat people covered by this ADA definition account for a
negligible percentage of overweight Americans. The fact is that people in this
country are fat because they choose to be fat ... they choose to eat Big Macs and
treat their bodies like dumpsters.
Disability? Hardly. These are people who are engaged in a conscious effort
to destroy their own health. Nobody wants to deny blubber butts equal
protection under the law ... but what sense does it make to give them a special
status under the law? Do we really want to create a special category for people
who are not willing to push their bellies back from the table once in a while?
And when it comes to the employers who will be forced to hire lardasses,
obese employees cost private businesses in this country about $45 billion a year
in medical expenses and absenteeism. Obesity also accounts for a great increase
in healthcare costs than smoking or drinking. Give these fat acceptance people
their way and employers will have to just absorb the costs.
We're not going to attack the obesity problem in this country by pampering
fat folks.

WOULD YOU HIRE ANY OF THESE FOLKS? |

Book Neal Mentioned Today
Neal mentioned this book today when talking about the caller that was calling the United States a terrorist nation.
Pick a Better Country by Ken Hamblin.

George Will has his say on Jeremiah Wright. And Eugene Wright of the
Washington Post says that Wright is
throwing Obama under the bus. We save the last word for
Thomas Sowell .. calling Obama an "Old Newness."
Both Hillary and John McCain agree on the need to
suspend the gas tax for the summer.
A local reporter in Indiana asks Barack Obama if
he is too good looking for the average voter. Gawd ... another "boxers or
briefs" question.
Get ready for these reports ... the middle class is becoming
the new face of hunger. Give me a break. You have to remember it is all in
how you define the term. What do you want to bet that if a person says "I'm
hungry" just once in a year these people count them as part of the "hungry in
America" ?
College students, the poor, African Americans, the elderly ... who else wants
to hop onto the whine-wagon
about the Supreme Court ruling on voter ID.
John McCain wants to lower healthcare costs
by increasing competition in the free market? But where is government in
all this?
A conservative
praising the Hillary Clinton campaign? Say it ain't so!
They've been getting the hurricane forecasts wrong lately. Kind of
embarrassing to the global warming folks.
Sooooo ... let's just end the hurricane forecasts.
It's a relief to know that the
federal government wants to get more involved in government schools in order
to compile data that will show how terrible government schools truly are. The
feds are part of the problem, I seriously doubt they will become part of the
solution.
Here's some more about
undoing America's ethanol mistake. Even if we freeze biofuel mandates at
current levels, we are still headed down the drain.
Read what Mark Steyn has to say about the ethanol situation:
Feed your Prius, starve a peasant.
Will McCain take the opportunity to
support school choice? The issue is too important for him to ignore.
An obese inmate in Arkansas is suing the county
because he lost more than 100 pounds while in jail. Good. I bet the tax
payers wouldn't want to fork over extra money just to feed his fat ass.
Where are you going to spend your government "rebate" check? Goldman Sachs
has a
list of places it thinks will benefit from the stimulus. I'll give you a
hint: number one on the list is the Cheesecake Factory.
Environmentalists are suing the federal government for taking the gray wolves
of the northern Rockies
off the endangered species list.
In Guatemala they are actually running radio ads asking for elite ex-soldiers
to help smuggle goods into Mexico.
A Jordanian man is on trial
for converting from Islam to Christianity. He may lose legal custody of his
children and be forced to annul his marriage if found guilty. What a great
religion.
A college student in Russia has
been sentenced to 16 months in jail for joking about killing President-elect
Dmitry Medvedev.
Uh oh ... we have a
taco truck on fire in California.
And now for an optical illusion that drives Belinda crazy ...
the spinning dancer.
Free Tibet flags...made
in China! Whoops...
And now for a different kind of children's book,
It's Just A Plant - a
children's story of marijuana.
Worried about rising food prices? Here's how you can save a little money and
take care of a problem.
How to catch and
eat a rat. Bad language.
