BUYER'S REMORSE

This one is rather fun to watch.  In case you haven't noticed, the Democrat Party is slowly figuring out that things aren't looking all that well for the November election ... at least as far as the White House is concerned.  Their messiah has turned out to be somewhat of a false prophet.  Don't you just hate it when things turn out that way?

Oh how the Democrats swooned over the "Change We Can Believe in" signs.  All of these people fainting at Obama rallies were certainly heralding wonderful times to come.  Somehow they failed to notice that in din of those huge Obama crowds nothing meaningful was being said by the candidate.  Nobody bothered to check the resume closely.  Accomplishments?  None, really.  About the best thing ObamaManiacs could point to was that he managed to get elected to the Senate.  Wow!  What a big deal that was!  He ran against a Democrat in the primary who self-destructed in a sex and domestic scandal.  Then his chief Republican rival pulled the same stunt.  The Republicans had to go out of state to find Alan Keys to put up a fight against Obama, and there was never a chance.

Now the layers start to get peeled back.  That glossy onion doesn't look so good underneath.   We find Obama spending 20 years in the pews of a church where the America-hating pastor preaches the Marxist gospel of Black Liberation Theology.  We find his friendship with "just some guy who lives in my neighborhood."  "Some guy" who is an unrepentant bomb-thrower from the Vietnam War days.  "Some Guy" who says he has no regrets, and in fact wishes he could have done more.  We learn that what Barack says before an gathering of San Francisco liberals is not what he says to the masses at his campaign appearances.  In other words ... the going has become rough.

And what do the Obama campaign and the Democrats do when the going gets rough for their candidate?  Well ... they can't really return him to the candidate store.  Not going to work.  Democrats absolutely depend on the black vote to carry these elections, and they know that if they admit a mistake and run back into Hillary's arms enough of these black voters will stay home on election day to make the presidency a lost cause.  Nope -- Hillary isn't the answer.  They're now going to have to stick with Obama.  So ... a strategy is needed!  Something needs to be done to shield Obama from the rightful consequences of his past and present associations and his uber-liberal approach to big government.

The solution?  Oh come on, you're telling me you don't really know?  The solution --- the shield --- is Obama's color!

So stand by friends.  This election is going to be about race and racism.  The left and their fellow travelers in the media are going to use the tried and true weapon of playing the race card to shield their candidate.  John McCain speaks in Mississippi?  Racism.  Civil rights workers were killed in Mississippi, you know.  You don't like Jeremiah Wrights exhortations for God to damn America?  You're racist.  You just don't like the black church.  In fact ... it has gone further than that already.  Listen -- and you don't have to listen carefully -- and you're going to hear more and more people saying that if you don't support Barack the one and only reason would be that you just don't like black people.  Let's work on that white guilt!  If they can't talk you into voting for Barack on the issues, (in other words, if you aren't an anti-capitalist Marxist), then we'll get you to vote for him out of a sense of guilt.  This is what you owe for 400 years of slavery.

Yesterday the theme on so many newscasts was "Are Americans ready to vote for a black candidate for President."  Fair question.  I just wonder why we've never heard these same people ask "Are Detroit's voters ready to put a black man in the mayor's office."  Oh, wait a minute.  That would be a racist question, wouldn't it?

See how this is going to work?

From now on it the Democrats will cloak Barack Obama in a mantle of black immunity.  Any criticism of him or his policies, his friends, his philosophy ... racist.  For many voters this is going to backfire.  People who otherwise might be favorably disposed toward voting for Obama are going to wonder what four years would be like with race warlords screaming racism every time Republicans in the congress opposed the next great idea for expanding government and curtailing freedoms.

I wonder how John McCain is going to like running the show for four years?

A DIFFERENT VIEW OF THE ELECTION

Now I don't really know where this came from, but several friends have shared it with me.  This purports to be a view of the American election as reported in Dutch newspaper.

'We in Denmark cannot figure out why you are even bothering to hold an election.
On one side, you have a lawyer who is married to a lawyer, and a lawyer who is married to a lawyer.

On the other side, you have a true war hero married to a blonde with a huge chest who owns a beer distributorship.

Is there a contest here?'

Actually ... they have a point.

BILL AYERS IN GOVERNMENT EDUCATION

We already know Bill Ayers as a dangerous terrorist and member of the Weather Underground.  Now, according to Barack Obama, Ayers is merely a "professor of English,"   It's bad enough that this mad man molds the minds of hundreds of young people in his classroom.  But now it is only going to get worse ... and for all of you who are stupid enough to hand your children over to the government to be educated, you will be pleased to hear that a terrorist is going to influence the curriculum for your precious little angel.

Last month, Bill Ayers was elected the vice president of curriculum of the 25,000-member American Educational Research Association.  This is the nation's largest organization of professors and researchers.  Oh and by the way, in his biographical statement he handed out to prospective voters of this associations – the ones that have now made him vice president – he included one of his "scholarly books" Fugitive Days.  Any guesses as to what that book is about?  It is his unapologetic memoir about his ten year in the Weather Underground.  And these people, knowing that fact, voted this man into power in their organization.

Well .. this is the wonderful world of academia we're talking about.

So what does this organization do?  It promotes social justice teacher agendas in government schools.  Just to give you an idea, Bill Ayers teaches in one of his courses at University of Illinois that prospective K–12 teachers need to "be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and . . . be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, a teacher teaching for social justice and liberation."  And with that, the mission of "progressive teachers" is to take back the classrooms and turn them into laboratories of revolutionary change.

MORE OIL ... AND IT'S NOT IN THE MIDDLE EAST

Brazil may have discovered the world's third largest oil field.  The director of the country's oil agency says that the subsea field, Carioca, may have 33 billion barrels of oil, which would make it the third biggest field behind those in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

It is expected that Brazil may be pumping ``several million'' barrels of crude oil daily by 2020.  This is good news considering this  just released report estimating that the price of oil is likely to hit $150 a barrel by 2010 and hit $225 by 2012.

AHHHH ... ANOTHER CASE OF RACISM

This time it is Planned Parenthood.  Now why is Planned Parenthood racist?  Because they locate abortion clinics in black neighborhoods.  Now do you have any idea what they would say about Planned Parenthood if they refused to locate abortion clinics in black neighborhoods?  Yeah, you got it.  Racists!

 Tiring, isn't it?

 LYING SMOKERS

In Indiana, 39 factory workers were suspended without pay from Whirlpool Corporation.  All 39 of these factory workers claimed they were non-smokers in order to get a $500 discount on their company health insurance.  But guess what?  They lied.  Somebody caught them outside the factory smoking and now they have been suspended without pay.  I love it!

So of course the workers are moaning and complaining ... but they have to remember that these are not their jobs.  The jobs belong to the company, and in 21 states around this country (it should be 50) it is perfectly legal to not hire someone because they are a smoker.  Around the country, 16% of companies are offering programs to encourage healthy lifestyles and this includes giving non-smokers discounts on health insurance.  It is the company's prerogative to do this.  They aren't discriminating; they are doing what they feel is necessary for the jobs that they create.

Question ... why weren't they just fired?

 GUNS IN SCHOOLS

When the government wants to deter children from bringing guns to school, it concocts a pretty clever scheme: put up posters in the hallways.  A new poster campaign reads, "Be Cool... Don't Let Guns Rule."  Like hell ... this program will work just as well as government drug prevention programs like DARE.

 READING ASSIGNMENTS:

Hillary is saying that she "didn't know anything about" Bill Clinton's 2001 sentence commutations for two members of the Weather Underground.  You believer her, right?.

These are ten reasons why conservatives want Barack Obama (and not Hillary) to be the Democrat nominee against John McCain.  By the way, this list was written by a former Special Counsel to Bill Clinton.

Howard Dean is complaining that the Democrat primary system is "so fair it's unfair."  That's what happens when you get politicians trying to decide what is fair.

The Florida legislature is considering a Christian license plate.  Don't they know that the ACLU is going to be ready with a lawsuit as soon as they approve the idea?  Plus ... get ready for a Muslim license plate as well.

Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Howard Dean are considering getting involved to force superdelegates to decide on a Democrat nominee.

The Senate has passed a bill barring employers and insurers from discriminating against people based on their genetics.

Nancy has asked George Bush to stop sending crude oil into the nation's emergency stockpile.

In this new US farm bill, guess what gets a $10 billion increase .... government nutrition programs such as food stamps.

A director for Florida's office of CAIR has been disinvited from speaking at the Plantation Mayor's annual Prayer Breakfast.  The question is why was he invited in the first place?

A Mexican official came to the United States for a White House meeting and left with a stash of Bush staffer's Blackberries ... he made it all the way to airport security before he was caught, claiming diplomatic immunity.

We have found the latest generator of global warming ... first it was cow farts, then moose belches, now it is beetles.

I love this ... a bar in Boston decided to stop serving drinks to anyone who showed a passport without a US Customs stamp ... in other words, they wouldn't serve illegal aliens.

The Ninth Circuit court has ruled that customs officers do no need reasonable suspicion to search the contents of laptops at the US borders.

This is a grand display from a liberal moonbat, who took out his frustrations about the Bush administration on a girl in a wheelchair.

Humans in the southeast suffer from a drought and yet we still pump water to Florida to save the mussels.  Out in California, they are trying to figure out a way to get rid of their mussels, because they are causing billions of dollars in damage.  Go figure.

Here we go again ... another mother who thinks its cool for her child to have a Mohawk and a government school that says he can't have a Mohawk because the "haircut may make him a target for other children."

The City of Huntsville, Alabama has decided that it has the right to tell a man that the recycled art he has displayed on his private property must go.

The District of Columbia spends $10 million of your tax dollars to buy three streetcars from the Czech Republic but guess what ... there is no timetable for when a rail line will actually be built.  Government waste.

Here is a doctor that was so fed up with government bureaucracy that she quit her job, sold her house, raised money through private donations and opened her own clinic where she is willing to treat people without health insurance.

Uh oh ... sex offenders in Orlando have gone missing.  Lock up your children!

A newspaper in Great Britain is going on a fact-finding mission to the Arctic to see the effects of climate change and it is asking for people to submit all of those burning questions you want answered.

FOX's newest pilot is a show in which an avenger of penniless single mothers hunts down deadbeat dads and forces them to pay child support.
