NEAL'S ON VACATION
But don't worry, today
Herman
Cain will be in to entertain and inform you.
For those of you in Orlando ...
Jamie Dupree and Neal
will be there at Church Street Station Friday night to do their dog and pony
show for the WDBO listeners.
READING ASSIGNMENTS
The Obama campaign is
upset with the way FoxNews has covered the story of Jeremiah Wright's
inflammatory remarks.
$23 million for the Army Corps of Engineers to build a border fence! Oh
wait,
that would be in Egypt.
A new poll found that a vast majority of Americans essentially
want a direct democracy ... that is because they were educated in government
schools.
A five-year-old boy diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia was granted
one wish from the Make-A-Wish-Foundation ...
to be a US soldier.
I'm sure many of you caught this story about a Muslim journalist, who is
critical of fundamental Islam,
being Baptized by the Pope yesterday. No telling how long until the Islamic
world calls for his head.
The US web service, that was to host Geert Wilders' film on the Koran,
inactivated the site over the weekend because it received complaints ...
gee, ya think?
Harvard University not only has women-only time at the gym in order to
accommodate Muslim women, but last month
it broadcast the call to prayer across Harvard Yard as part of Islam
Awareness Week.
Democrats in Congress believe the only way to
keep companies like Bear Stearns from collapsing in the future is to have
more government regulation.
I'm sure that the people of Ann Arbor, Michigan have a thing or two to say to
OwlGore about his global warming theory ... they have experienced
the snowiest winter since 1880.
Speaking of global warming ... the head of the Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change acknowledges that
the earth has been cooling for the past 10 years.
Our government schools are already contributing to the wussification of
America ... now government schools in Massachusetts will no longer be labeled as
"underperforming"
because this hurts the feelings of teachers and children. The schools will
now be labeled as a "Commonwealth priority."
A private school in Arizona spent $50,000 to build a fence ... but residents
of the town are now demanding that it be dismantled
because it is too exclusionary. These complaining residents must have gone
to the local government school.
In Tampa, Florida the school board is holding an emergency meeting to figure
out how they can hire teachers
who might be less likely to have sex with their students. Gotta love
government schools (and school boards).
Enough government school outrages? Here's one more. Government schools in
South Dakota
will pay children to take Advanced Placement classes.
New Jersey may pass a law that will require teen drivers to have their
cars marked with a sticker or decal.
In Boulder, Colorado, hundreds of people may be off the hook after being
caught speeding by a photo-radar van
because the van was parked illegally.
Environmentalists in Corpus Christi, Texas have
filed an injunction to stop construction of a wind farm project because it
will "kill a lot of birds."
A British solider has been barred from joining the police force
because he has a tattoo of the word "England" on his forearm and some people
might feel intimidated.
Lawmakers in California are thinking of
qualifying pregnant women as "temporarily disabled." Gynecologists say this
is a bad idea because these women need exercise. But just remember ...
government knows best.
Seattle's Landmarks Preservation Board has decided to label a
1960s Denny's as a historical landmark ... and it will just sit on the
property with boarded up windows and rot.
