FAIRTAX, THE TRUTH
Thanks to the people who showed up at the Borders Book Store in Atlanta last
night. A great time. Tonight we'll be at the Barnes & Noble at the Avenue
West Cobb for another signing. By all accounts the book is selling well. The
higher we finish this first week ... the greater the signal to the politicians
that the people, if not the politicians, want the FairTax.
MIXED EMOTIONS ...
... on the imminent collapse of Hillary's quest for ultimate power and the
ascendancy of Barack Obama
- Truly disappointed that I may not have Hillary to talk
about during the campaign. Her dishonesty, corruption, anti-individualist
and big-government views.
- Concerned that most of the people who show up at the
Obama rallies in the tens of thousands are economically illiterate and have
no real understanding of the history of this country and what has made it
great.
- Concerned that once Obama gets into office – if, that
is, he wins – any opposition to his policies will surely be branded by some
as racist in nature.
- Can't recall hearing Obama utter the word "freedom."
But ... same for Hillary.
- No ... I don't think he's a Muslim, but his father was.
Certainly there are sympathies there ... and you have to wonder to just what
degree he will pander to Islamist desires and demands.
- Hillary was going to be such a disaster as president
that it is quite likely the Democrats would have lost one or both houses of
the congress during the mid-term elections. Obamamania will remain strong
.. a loss of power is less likely unless he really does something absurd.
- I truly do believe that the Obama movement is largely
based on political mass hysteria. Hillary's campaign rode on a desire to
pass personal responsibilities to the government. Which is worse? Haven't
figured that one out yet.
- Any state that doesn't vote for Obama will be branded
as racist. I hear you groaning .. but it's true. Remember, in 21st
Century America any disagreement with the words of a black politician, any
opposition to a policy proposed by a black politician ... all based on racism.
- Obama has accomplished .... NOTHING. Nothing of note in
the world of political, and nothing at all in the world of business ... right
up to this campaign. He's good looking, articulate, glib, young ... and
that's what has created the hysteria.
- Obama has proposed nothing that would further the
cause of freedom. His campaign is centered around increasing the cost and
the size of government.
- Every one of the criticisms I've listed of Barack
Obama will be labeled by some as racist.
AND WHAT'S TO BECOME OF REPUBLICANS?
How about some more time in the wilderness? Much deserved, by the way, due
to the growth of government and government spending that has occurred during the
Bush years. Prescription benefit plan? Let's see how much that entitlement
program costs us. Oh ... and the doubling of spending on government
indoctrination (schools). Let's hope when they come wandering back from the
desert they've managed to lose those absurd (mostly male) abortocentrists ... the
men who deem it their life's work to control the reproductive processes of their
womenfolk.
WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THESE SUPERDELEGATES
I've been getting a lot of questions about these "superdelegates." For those
of you who are too lazy to do your own research,
I have created a quick Boortz re-cap of the purpose of superdelegates.
Superdelegates are a way for Democrat office holders and party officials to
make sure that their preferred nominee wins the nomination. These
superdelegates are not awarded because of any primaries or caucuses. They are
simply Democrat politicians who get a say, without having to reflect the popular
vote. Call them a firewall against the dumb Democrat masses, if you will. Hey
... they know their voters.
Now the Democrat Party does not actually use the term "superdelegate,"
probably because it makes it look like these people have more power. Their
formal designation is "unpledged party leader and elected official delegates."
At the 2008 Democrat Convention, superdelegates will make up about one-fifth of
the total number of delegates deciding who will be the nominee.
So now the infamous question, why? The quick version goes ... back in the
1960s the Democrats changed their delegate selection process to make the
nomination more responsive to the voters. This is when they started to move
away from caucuses and toward primaries. But then the 1980s rolled around and
Democrat party leaders felt like they weren't getting their "fair say." They
felt like they knew better than the people, who were weakening the Democrat
ticket. So after the 1980 election (when Ronald Reagan won) they instituted
this superdelegate rule that gave these politicians a greater role in selecting
their nominee. So when the 1984 election hit, Gary Hart almost claimed the
nomination ... that was until almost all of the superdelegates decided that Walter
Mondale was their man. And so he won the nomination.
In other words, superdelegates give Democrat party leaders more power to
select the candidate they want running for president. Got it?
Now ... the question ... quickly fading into irrelevance, I might add ... is
whether or not these superdelegates will step in to derail Obama and hand the
nomination to Hillary. If they do, you can expect black voters to cry foul like
fouls never been cried before, and then to sit on their hands in November.
What fun.
'COLD WAVE IN INDIA ATTRIBUTED TO GLOBAL WARMING'
No, folks. I am not making that up.
That is an actual headline that ran in an Indian newspaper. Does that make
any logical sense at all?
It has been cold in India. They have been having a cold wave, but they
decided that they are going to host a conference on global warming in Mumbai.
Now you don't want to have a big-deal conference on global warming during a cold
snap, so they have to come up with an explanation. The explanation, of course,
is to blame the cold on global warming.
The former Union minister for power and environment Suresh Prabhu says that
it is the increase of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide and
methane that have caused this situation. Oh and in case you didn't know, 70% of
India's water bodies are polluted ... and that is because of global warming. Oh
and by the way ... by 2050, seven million people are expected to take refuge in
Mumbai because global warming is going to cause a drought or a deluge ... take
your pick. Whatever happens, we all know that we can blame it on global
warming.
Megan Kendall won't give me the time of day. I'm blaming global warming.
YOU MEAN GLOBAL WARMING IS RELATED TO THE SUN?
Say it ain't so!
Sorry .. it's so.
Here's a study that I will bet you dollars to doughnuts will not get
covered by the lamestream media.
Astrophysicist Dr. Sallie Baliunas has been studying the sun as it relates to
global warming. She has started a lecture series called "Warming Up to the
Truth: The Real Story About Climate Change." Guess what she has found, working
with a fellow astrophysicist from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for
Astrophysics ... global warming is more directly related to solar variability
than to increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This is pretty
much the opposite of what you will see reported in the mainstream media.
Baliunas believes that increases and decreases in solar output have caused
there to be historically warmer and cooler periods. She also points out that
civilizations have always been looking for the cause of climate changes. Like
back in 16th and 17th century Europe ... they used to execute "witches" – mostly
women – for "weather cooking." Nowadays, we are going to throw people in jail
if they fail to believe in global warming. Looks like we haven't come all that
far.
BRIDGING THE
'INEQUALITY GAP' ... ACCORDING TO A LIBERAL
The New York Times published an article by former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert
Reich, who now holds the Moonbat Chair of Asinine Political Analysis at the
University of California, Berkeley. According to Robert Reich, this is what we
need to do in order to solve this "inequality gap" between the evil rich and the
"less fortunate."
First you have to increase the wages of the bottom two-thirds of Americans.
Not because they have earned it, not because they're worth it, not because
they've worked hard for it --- but because, by golly, they deserve it. They
only have one big screen TV in the household. That just won't do.
You give the bottom two-thirds of American a larger earned-income tax
credit. And who is going to fund this tax credit? Those evil high margin
income tax earners. Guess who those people are going to be ... the small business
owners of this country. That's really a great way to support American jobs,
don't ya think? Tax 'em more so the less fortunate can by three Happy meals at
McDonalds instead of just one.
Oh and we can't forget this one. This one is very important. We need to
support the bottom two-thirds of Americans by giving them stronger unions ...
"especially in the local service sector that's sheltered from global
competition." And workers should be able to form a union with a simple majority
vote. None of this certification nonsense. And as for those employers who fire
workers for trying to organize, they will be forced to pay heavy fines for the
social injustice. (Fines which, by the way, will inevitably be paid for by the
customers.)
There's something else we must do in order to reverse inequality in America,
we must send our children to government schools. Then after we enroll our
ankle-biters in these schools we have to make sure that they receive more
funding, even in lower and moderate-income communities. And we must start this
indoctrination in preschool ... because the sooner the government gets a hold of
your child, the sooner we can turn them into candy asses and cry babies. The
sooner we can make them understand that government is great and they don't have
to work hard because the government is always going to be there to support
them.
Yes, folks. These are the ways that the Democrats would like to close the
gap. I hope you are ready for it.

READING ASSIGNMENTS
Neal is such an ape!
Former campaign manager for Bill Clinton's campaign is
going to endorse Barack Obama, rather than Hillary. Oh and he happens to be
a superdelegate.
Top Republicans in the House of Representatives
have endorsed John McCain. No shocker there.
Just in case you were not aware,
"White born again and evangelical Christian voters have made up Huckabee's core
of support all year." At least, that is according to the lamestream media.
No mention of the FairTax
One of Hillary's most visible supporters Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell
believes that
white people in Pennsylvania will vote against Obama because he is black.
That, my friends, is called "playing the race card."
Obama wants to spend $210 billion to create "green collar" jobs and fund
projects to help US infrastructure. Oh cute. He's invented a new phrase.
Maureen Down tries to argue that it's
impossible to use Hillary Clinton as a feminine test because you can't take
the Bill out of her.
This music video for Hillary Clinton should get you going this morning ... or
not. By the way, the comments feature for this video has been mysteriously
disabled.
Here's what John Stossel has to say about this stimulus package. Any
government program that wins support from the political class and media
commentators makes him very suspicious.
New York City wants to find a way to squeeze tax money out of those evil rich
who have their clothes laundered and get Botox injections. So here come the
tax increases.
Someone
did some digging in the Obama flag flap and came up with a granola
crunching, Che Guevara loving moonbat (a woman) as the culprit.
This should come at little surprise to you.
Canadians overwhelmingly favor a Democrat for US president. In this case,
they want Barack Obama.
Hamas children's TV has a new character:
a rabbit that promises to "eat up the Jews."
Scientists have taken time out of their busy schedules to
unravel the mysteries of your favorite fairy tales.
Is the Huffington Post serious? It is
promoting eating bugs and worms because of worsening food shortages around
the world, which is caused by none other than global warming.
Idaho made one of its towns increase its speed limit because it was
"unrealistically" low. If they didn't change it, they were going to lose
their power to set their own speed limits.
Eight million Americans admit that they have
sent Valentine's Day gifts to themselves.
Ever hear of choreplay? Husbands ... you may want to consider.
Listen to Neal tell a caller what he believes to be
the black man's greatest
accomplishment.
