EAT – PRAY – LOVE
That's the competition. Some Oprah-designated book called Eat, Pray, Love.
It's been number one on the New York Times bestseller's list for eons .. and
that's the book we need to beat with "FairTax, The Truth, Answering the
critics". The book is in the book stores today ... and if – a big if – we overtake
that Eat, Pray, Love thing it will surely make news and give the FairTax a huge
push.
Now's the time. No more procrastinating. Sales between now and next Monday
are the key. Bookstores,
Amazon.com ... wherever. If you want to give a big push
to the most thoroughly researched piece of legislation ever to be placed before
the congress of the United States; if you want to be part of the biggest
transfer of power from the government to the people in our history; if you want
to boost our economy, make the U.S. the world's number one tax haven for
business ... you know the drill ... then get your copy this week. Once you're armed
with the information in this book the political class can no longer demagogue
the FairTax with their absurd misrepresentations. The facts will be out there.

THE MOST DIFFICULT QUESTION IN POLITICS TODAY
What has Barack Obama actually accomplished?
WHAT A RIDICULOUS WOMAN
I was watching a campaign commercial for Hillary Clinton last night. She was
yammering about all the wonderful ways she is going to spend billions of dollars
to make the United States energy independent. Then she says that she's going to
get the money for all of her grand schemes from the evil oil companies by
raising their taxes.
Now think about this for a moment ... for those of you not educated by the
government. What Hillary is telling you is that our federal government, under
her expert guidance and tutelage, can take the money away from the oil companies
and do a better job spending that money on energy exploration and new energy
sources than the oil companies can. In Hillary's mind the government can always
do things better than the private sector. Government first – private sector
last. Remember, in Hillary's world our country is great, our lives are
fulfilled, our future is bright because of government. The dynamic of a free
people working together in a system of economic liberty has nothing to do with
it at all.
HANNITY & COLMES
I don't know if you watched the show last night ... but there was a segment
where Alan Colmes was interviewing Sean about his appearance on the cover of
Newsweek (something I'll never experience). I gotta tell ya ... Colmes was funny
as hell. I almost busted a gut when Colmes thanked Hannity for being a guest
and said "We'll try to have you on the show again." Even Sean will tell you
that Alan is a helluva nice guy.
NEW YORK
I came to New York City alone for this 24-hour whirlwind. So, since I was
alone they put me in a 1200 square foot suite at the Waldorf Towers. Now if I
had come to NYC with my wife we would have been in a 300 square foot cubicle
somewhere else. Don't know why .. but it always seems to work out that way.
By the way .. it's cold enough up here to freeze the balls off a brass
monkey. That, by the way, has nothing to do with testicles. You just have a
dirty mind.
A STIMULUS PACKAGE ... FOR MEXICO?
Michelle Malkin has done some excellent research into what she calls the
Mexican stimulus plan. Its official title is The Merida Initiative. The Bush
administration wants to give Mexico and Central America over $1.4 billion of
your taxpayer money. This funding is tucked into the 2008 supplemental budget.
You probably would never hear about it if some right-winger didn't bring it to
light.
To give you an idea, the State Department disclosed that some $550 million
in US taxpayer money will pay for Mexico and Central America to get inspection
scanners, helicopters, surveillance tools and case management software.
Question: given that the current Mexican government does nothing less than to
promote illegal immigration to the United States ... or, to put it another way ...
considering the fact that Mexico is invading our country right now ...why are we
giving all of these tools and all of this money to a country that defies our
laws? Why can't we spend that $1.4 billion to build a double wall with
concertina wire and Michael Vicks pit bulls along the Mexican border? Why can't
we spend that $1.4 billion on hiring new border patrol agents? Why send this
money to politicians and law enforcement officials that are known to be corrupt?
And as for the immigrants that are already here, the Department of Homeland
Security
has made a major policy shift. It is planning to grant permanent residency
to tens of thousands of applicants before the FBI finishes their required
background check. Does that make any sense to you? At a time when we are
battling against Islamic extremism, we want to grant residency to thousands of
people without a background check? Do you think that the fact that there's an
election on the way, and the Democrats are looking pretty swell to the illegal
community, have anything to do with it?
The immigrants eligible will be those that are fingerprinted and have been
cleared of criminal convictions and arrests. However their names have not yet
cleared FBI criminal or intelligence files. So we give them residency, then run
their names. If the name check fails, THEN they'll be deported? Yeah ... like we
can find them then?
Who the hell's running this outfit anyway?
THE TRUTH ABOUT IMMIGRATION
By the year 2050, the Hispanic population in the country will triple,
according to the Pew Research Center. The US population as a whole will rise to
438 million, primarily because of immigration – illegal immigration – an
invasion. And even if immigration is limited, Hispanic populations will still
grow because they have higher rates of downloading babies.
You want some more scary statistics?
- Nearly one in five Americans will have been born outside the USA vs. one in
eight in 2005. Sometime between 2020 and 2025, the percentage of foreign-born
will surpass the historic peak reached a century ago during the last big
immigration wave. New immigrants and their children and grandchildren born in
the USA will account for 82% of the population increase from 2005 to 2050.
- Whites who are not Hispanic, now two-thirds of the population, will become a
minority when their share drops to 47%. They made up 85% of the population in
1960.
- Hispanics, already the largest minority group, will more than double their
share of the population to 29%.
- Blacks will remain 13% of the population. Asians will go to 9% from 5%.
- The gap between the number of working-age people and the children and
seniors who depend on them will widen as boomers age. There will be 72 young and
elderly for every 100 people of working age by 2050 compared with 59 in 2005.
The gap would widen more if immigration slows because immigrants tend to be of
working-age, the report said.
In short ... this country is going to look very different for your children and
grandchildren than it does for you ... and you can thank the current crop of
politicians pandering for votes for that.
I don't think I'll much care in 2050 ... so let me know how it works out for
you.
TURNING OFF THE LIGHTS
In Great Britain, some towns are experimenting with a plan to turn off street
lights after midnight. I'll give you one guess as to why they want to shut off
the lights ...
global warming.
Arrrgggghhhhhh!
Trial blackouts will be carried out by local authorities, switching off
thousands of lights from midnight to 5am. It is supposed to save $200,000 and
reduce CO2 emissions by 600 tons a year. If this trial works, all street lamps
across the country could be turned off between midnight and 5am.
Some residents are upset because they are afraid that the darkness could
increase crime and road traffic accidents. Well duhhhhhh. But that doesn't
matter to the Local Government Association; all that matters is reducing the
energy budget and cutting down on those pesky emissions ... to save the planet.
Hey everyone! Lock your doors! Buy a mean dog. Get a gun. We're saving
the planet.
JUVENILE DELINQUENT? LOSE YOUR TV
A new bill in Australia is trying to
make parents more accountable for their juvenile delinquents who break the law.
Apparently Australia is fed up with juvenile crime, so this plan is intended to
make parents more accountable and help kids get back on track. This includes
youth camps and compulsory guidance workshops for delinquent children.
To hold the parents accountable for their child's criminal activity, parents
may have to attend counseling or guidance programs. Parents who refuse face a
court order from the Family Responsibility Order. They could also be forced to
pay fines up to $2,200. If they don't pay the fine, the government will come to
your house and seize non-essential household items like big screened TVs and
stereos.
Oh God! Not my big screen TV!

Finally. The Pentagon

9/11. They are going to seek the death penalty ... gee, ya think?
In current AP polls,
Barack Obama barely leads John McCain. McCain and Hillary are about tied.
Here's a look at
where the presidential candidates currently stand. It seems as though
Hillary is in a post-Super Tuesday slump. I just hat it when that happens.
Now that Bill has been out of the limelight for a bit,
Chelsea Clinton seems to have risen up as Hillary's latest pawn in her
presidential campaign.
Take another look at
Hillary's plan for universal healthcare. Sadly, most Americans are actually
anxious to pawn off the responsibility for their health care ... to anyone.
If you click on one link today,
let it be this one. We hear the lamestream media complain about the poor
middle class ... making ends meet ... corporate greed. But is the media actually
reporting reality?
If the current rate of immigration continues, within two decades,
the proportion of immigrants in the US will surpass the peak reached more
than a century ago.
The ACLU is opposed to surveillance cameras in public places because officers
could
use the cameras to zoom in on hot babes. Hey .. the ACLU should hang around
the control rooms in sports venues with big screens in the outfield.
Here are two guys in Minnesota that are
really looking forward to global warming.
The Islamic war against Valentine's Day continues. Saudi Arabia has now
banned red roses.
Here's some good news. After the recent firestorm,
British authorities are backing away from plans to prohibit UK athletes in
the Beijing Olympics from making comments critical of China's human rights
record.
A UCLA professor of Islamic law (yes there is actually a law professor that
teaches Islamic law)
tries to explain Afghanistan's recent ruling that sentenced a journalist to
death for distributing material that questioned Islam.

this little video shows exactly what you are dealing with in the Berkeley
City Council.
The mayor of Oklahoma City put his constituents
on a citywide diet. So far, the people have collectively shed 26,000
pounds.
Parents are choosing a different kind of punishment ...
making their kids hold apology signs on street corners. But wait, some
complain that the poor children are humiliated.
