HILLARY SHOULD BE WORRIED
Politico.com decided to create a list of 5 reasons why Hillary Clinton should be worried that she will not be the Democrat nominee for president. There list goes as follows:
1. She lost the delegate derby. 2. She essentially tied Obama in the popular vote. 3. She lost more states. 4. She lost the January cash war. 5. The calendar is her enemy.
An accurate, but tame list. So naturally, being the wise-ass that I am, I have devised my own list. 1. She is supported by the uneducated, the poor, and the single women. 2. She holds the average American in complete and utter disdain. 3. She is dishonest and will do anything to gain power. 4. She cries to get people to vote for her. 5. She harbors a rapist. 6. She takes pride in a sham marriage. 7. She is fundamentally dishonest.
That list was way too easy. I've asked this question before, what reasons would anyone have to vote for Hillary Clinton ... other than "it's time for a woman to have a chance" or "she did a good job raising Chelsea, so she'd be a good Commander and Chief". ... oh, and there's one more: "She'll punish people who are more successful than I am by taking money from them and giving it to me." | NEAL ON TV THIS AFTERNOON This afternoon, Neal is scheduled to appear on America's Pulse with E.D. Hill on the Fox News Channel between 2:10-2:30pm ET. The topic will be John McCain. |
AND THE WONDERFUL NEWS OF THE DAY IS ... Hillary has to loan her own campaign money. That means that she is spending her own cash to get her own self elected president. Should Hillary be worried? Well she has had to dip into her own pocket to fund her campaign. But in the end, she will win the nomination ... thanks to the unmarried women voters of this country. If their man won't provide them with security, then I guess government will have to do. Maybe these women can dip into their change purses and give Hillary her money back. She's sure willing to give them some money ... though it won't come out of her pockets. It will come out of ours. Now ... upon more reflection ... is this perhaps just a fund-raising ploy? Let's see .. you loan your campaign $5 of your own money. Then you send an email to your supporters signing the blues over how you had to loan that money to your campaign. Suddenly you receive .. say .. about $15 million in donations from your worried followers. You pay the $5 million back to yourself ... and walk around with $10 million that wasn't there last week. Gotta love it. BRITNEY SPEARS WAS RELEASED FROM THE LOONEY BIN ...
... and who really gives a damn. Well, other than celebrity worshiping idiots that is. REALITIES OF UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE
Just in case Hillary's government healthcare plan is starting to lure you, let me give you a quick reminder of the costs of healthcare programs. In Massachusetts Mitt Romney touts that he created a state healthcare insurance plan, subsidizing citizens for health insurance. Recent reports disclose that families earning up to $103,000 a year are eligible for these government subsidies. $100,000 ... and the government is paying for their health insurance? Sadly, Massachusetts officials refuse to disclose how many families are making that much and are enrolled in the state insurance program. That's the thing about entitlement spending ... now that they have it, you can't take it away. What's the cost, you ask? The state's healthcare plan is going to exceed state budget estimates by $400 million in 2009. That is more than 85% more than what the costs were initially projected to be. That is one scary statistic. Scary, but typical. Just take a look at the original estimates of Medicare costs vs. the reality. How about from $9 billion to $70 billion. Romney boasts that he was able to put this plan in place without costing the citizens any new money. Looks like that's going to change. There are going to have to be some significant tax increases or some serious adjustments to the program. I'll let you decide which solution politicians will choose ... Remember .. there has never, in the history of American government, been a health spending plan that did not exceed by huge amounts what the politicians said it was going to cost. TORNADOES BLAMED ON "CLIMATE CHANGE"
It took less than a day for someone to blame the tragic tornadoes that ripped through the South on global warming. Who did the finger pointing? None other than John Kerry. He said, "And so it goes to global warming and larger issues that we're not paying attention to. The fact is the hurricanes are more intensive, the storms are more intensive and the rainfall is more intense at certain places at certain times and the weather patterns have changed."
How typical. Hurricanes? Sorry, but the actual evidence is that they are NOT more intensive. Besides ... what do you think is causing much of the water shortages in the Southeastern United States? A lack of Hurricanes, that's what. No hurricanes or tropical storms bringing intense rainfall to the Southeast for more than two years. MUSLIM OUTRAGE OF THE DAY
Bringing you your daily dose of enlightenment ... a 22-year-old Iranian man has been sentenced to death for drinking alcohol. The man was handed the death penalty by a criminal court, which found him guilty of drinking alcohol for the fourth time. You see, according to Iran, which is ruled by Sharia law, if someone drinks twice, you are punished with lashings. But three strikes and you are out ... executed. In this case, they must have given this man a pass on the third offense. Nonetheless, he is still going to die. He faces the same punishment as murderers and rapists (and homosexuals). All because he drank alcohol. The only people who are "allowed" to consume alcohol in Iran are a very small minority of Christian Armenians. But they can only do it discreetly and behind closed doors "in order to not offend Islamic sensibilities." Well, at least they're showing some tolerance, right? DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE?
A North Dakota manufacturer has agreed to pay $2 million to settle a lawsuit with the Justice Department. The manufacturer provided the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan with 2.2 million faulty helmets.
So what does the government do? Turns around and gives the same manufacturing company a $74 million contract to produce more helmets to replace the old ones. That, folks, is how your government is using your tax dollars.
A HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION HEADACHE
Sharon Shelton lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. She has been fighting with her homeowners' association for over two years over a "$80,000 light bulb." At least, that's what she calls it. Sharon is trying to protect her family. She installed a security system to protect her daughter from a stalker. Part of this security system included an outdoor light. According to the neighbors, who live 100 yards away, the light was too bright. They couldn't sleep at night. So they complained to the Scottsdale Mountain Community Association, which immediately told Sharon to turn the light off. Sharon said no. She has paid to replace the system twice. Still not good enough for the homeowners' association. She angled the lights downward and encased them to shield the light. Still not good enough. She offered to buy her neighbors drapes and blinds. The neighbors said no, because they want to wake up with a view of the mountains. Finally, the homeowners' association began fining Sharon $50 per day. She still hasn't shut off the light. Now she owes $30,000 in unpaid fines. So the homeowners' association brought her to court. Now she owes another $50,000 in legal costs. As I've said before. Once every year a homeowner's association ought to be picked at random from across the United States ... and then executed. Harsh? You haven't dealt with a homeowner's association, have you? REDNECK SCRAP BOOK So, uh, I don't even know what to say about this thing. More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS Win it before you can buy it!
Be listening each day February 4-8 to the Neal Boortz Show and when Neal tells you to call in be the correct caller and win an autographed copy of Neal's new book FairTax: The Truth. | Howard Dean has decided to write a little letter ... proclaiming John McCain to be the GOP nominee. Is al Qaeda planning another attack on the U.S.? Well ... maybe so. But we have much more important things to worry about here. John McCain, for instance. Oh ... and the horrifying thought that someone out there is a woman who is planning to terminate a pregnancy. John McCain says that he can unite the Republican Party. He also says that he will be able to get votes from independent voters and Reagan Democrats. Washington and now Moscow admit that the launch of Iran's space rocket attests to the existence of a nuclear weapons program. Reports are now showing that gas could drop as much as 50 cents per gallon by this spring. Still, everyone will find a reason to panic. Exxon paid $30 billion in taxes in 2007. That's more than all of the income taxes collected by the bottom 50% of American taxpayers combined. Still .. Hillary wants more of Exxon's money. President Bush is adamant about vetoing the farm bill if it increases taxes. He also wants to cut subsidies to the wealthiest 2% of Americans ... you know, all of those "farmers" living in New York City. Here's some good news. The White House said that it would use waterboarding to question terrorism suspects in the future. Good news. Torture the Islamic bastards until they behave. The National Association of Manufacturers is upset with new lobbying and ethics laws. In fact, it is so upset that it is suing the federal government for infringing on their constitutional rights for freedom of association. This is a little video that should make you feel all warm and fuzzy about the peaceful religion of Islam. How young do you have to be to be trained by al Qaeda? The Dean of Students at Claremont McKenna College has sent an email to the entire student body concerning a flier for a party labeled the "White Party" (students were to dress all in white because there would be black lights). The fliers have been labeled "racist" and "sexist." The wussification of America proceeds apace. The Mexican government is offering $2,000 and a free trip to Mexico to the winner of a writing contest, which asks Mexican nationals to document their immigrant experience. Because of China's current weather, the UN has decided that we need greater global cooperation on global weather forecasting to combat "freak weather." Your tax dollars are funding the repair of Glacier National Park's Going-to-the-Sun Road ... it was estimated to cost $140 million, but it will actually cost closer to $270 million over the next 8 to ten years. I've actually driven that road several times, and am more than willing to make a donation. How about paying for it with a toll? The University of Kentucky's student government association president could be forced to resign after forwarding an email claiming that Barack Obama is a radical Muslim. A government school teacher in Australia has been promoted ... even after assigning a class of teenage boys to research pornography. An interesting review of my Austin, Texas affiliate 590-KLBJ. This lady, a Democrat, treated me rather nicely. She did, however, forget to mention that I am an Aggie. Want some free Valentines?
