HILLARY'S HEALTH CARE PLAN DUE TODAY
She's at it again, folks. Hillary Rodham is going to give us all of the details for her grand plan to bring the United States into line with the rest of the socialized medicine world.
Rodham will tell us that her plan is going to cost around $110 billion a year. That's a lie ... and she knows it's a lie. Take a look at every medical-related spending program out there, from Medicare on .. and you'll find that the politicians who brought us these programs flat-out lied when they told us how much they would cost. Hillary's $110 billion a year will become $300 billion an year and more before her husband makes his next conquest. Make no mistake. Every single politician in Washington knows that the surest way to make affordable health care available to every single American is through the private sector. They know that eliminating the regulations that stifle competition, and getting rid of insurance mandates that drive up the cost of even the most basic policies would bring millions of the uninsured back into the ranks of the fully insured. They know that giving individuals the same tax treatment for buying their own health insurance policies that their employers get providing those policies for them would solve much our problem with the uninsured. The know all of these things .. .but they also know one more very important fact. With every private sector solution introduced into our health care system politicians and government lose power ... and that just cannot be permitted. The goal of these politicians is not to bring you health care. Their goal is to make you more dependent on government ... and them. | "When I'm president, privatization is off the table because it's not the answer to anything." Hillary Rodham, September 3, 2007 AARP Legislative Conference. |
Wake up, people ... and smell the socialism. INDIANAPOLIS CAVES TO MUSLIM DEMANDS
The Indianapolis International Airport is amidst reconstruction with a new $1.07 billion airport terminal to open in November 2008. But the government hacks spending the money didn't happen to forget the 100 Muslim cab drivers that wait at the airport to pick up passengers so long as they do not have a dog or carry liquor.
The airport will be installing brand news restrooms for the cabdrivers equipped with floor-level sinks ... in other words, foot baths. An item clearly used solely for religious purposes and solely by one religion: Islam. The excuse was that the old restroom only had one sink, and Muslims felt embarrassed washing their feet in front of people in the one sink. Sometimes they even had to carry water bottles to clean their feet outside instead. A real pain. Each foot bath costs between $400 to $600 to purchase and install. Michael Saahir, an imam at the Nur-Allah Islamic Center of Indianapolis, says that drivers deserve better accommodations, and that this is long overdue. According to him, Indianapolis is "coming of age." No .. this isn't "coming of age," this is caving in to political correctness. While we are on the subject of Muslim accommodation ... why don't you take a look at the lengths that Canada's Quebec region is going to just to accommodate its Muslim minorities ... ISLAM HUNTS CARTOONIST
While we're talking about the peaceful, serene, wonderfully loving religion of Islam, this item: The leader of al Qaeda in Iraq is offering money for whoever kills the Swedish cartoonist who dared to insult Islam! "We are calling for the assassination of cartoonist Lars Vilks who dared insult our Prophet, peace be upon him, and we announce a reward during this generous month of Ramadan of $100,000 for the one who kills this criminal." Ooo but get this. You will get $150,000 if you "slaughter him like a lamb." That, I guess, means slice his throat open. Isn't that just sweet? The man draws a picture of the Prophet Muhammad with a dog's body and now the peaceful religion he depicted wants to kill him. Now let's see if CAIR posts any condemnation of this offer on their website any time soon. WAR WITH IRAN?
Yesterday the French Foreign Minister, Bernard Kouchner, said that the world should brace for possible war with Iran. This is all because Tehran refuses to stop its nuclear development program ... despite warnings and sanctions.
Meanwhile, Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the U.S. is not a threat to Iran. He also said that George Bush has been "defeated" in his plans for the Middle East, and that Bush would one day stand trial for the "atrocities" he committed. Now when you listen to the grand Iranian weird-beard you get the distinct impression that he's channeling Denis Kuchinich or some other gallant member of our wonderful Democrat Party. Get rid of the accent, speak a little English, and this could be the last Democrat debate! Iran's president will be attending the UN General Assembly meeting in New York on September 24th. This is just a pit-stop along the way for him to go and visit his anti-American buddy, Hugo Chavez. Maybe Cindy Sheehan and Sean Penn will join him in Turban* One on the flight down to Caracas! * "Turban One", get it! Bwaaaahahahaa. It's a take on Achmawhatshisface's plane being turbine powered. GOVERNMENT SCHOOL CENSORSHIP
Last week the California Supreme Court ruled that high schools can't censor their students in school newspapers. A former Novato High School student journalist filed a lawsuit against the government school district for censuring two columns he wrote in the paper. Here's an example of what they tried to censor. This is the student's solution to illegal immigration: "It can't be hard to find and detain the people who can't speak English. If a person looks suspicious than just stop them and ask a few questions, and if they answer 'que?,' detain them and see if they are legal."
The ACLU, of course, got involved. It's good to see there are some bring students in these Mexifornia high schools. MORE ON THE ORIGIN OF THE FAIRTAX
Bruce Bartlett continues to push the fairy tale that the FairTax is somehow connected to Scientology. This supposedly makes the FairTax unworthy of any further consideration. In the two columns (thus far) which Bartlett has written promoting this FairTax/Scientology nonsense he has also made several other mistakes, mistakes would bring a failing grade to any high school student in a test of reading and comprehensive skills. Since Bartlett is so fixated on the origins of the FairTax, why not turn the tables and talk a bit about the origin of the progressive personal income tax that he is apparently so fond. The idea of a progressive income tax was first widely promoted by a British gentleman by the name of Karl Marx way back in 1848. Now Marx, so far as we know, didn't have a habit of jumping around on couches during interviews ... but he did gain some attention from the general public by writing something entitled "The Manifesto of the Communist Party," commonly referred to as "The Communist Manifesto." Section II of Marx's Communist Manifesto is titled II "Proletarians and Communists." I've taken the trouble of taking a little excerpt out of this section and now present it to you for your enlightenment and edification: But let us have done with the bourgeois objections to communism.
We have seen above that the first step in the revolution by the working class is to raise the proletariat to the position of ruling class to win the battle of democracy. The proletariat will use its political supremacy to wrest, by degree, all capital from the bourgeoisie, to centralize all instruments of production in the hands of the state, i.e., of the proletariat organized as the ruling class; and to increase the total productive forces as rapidly as possible. Of course, in the beginning, this cannot be effected except by means of despotic inroads on the rights of property, and on the conditions of bourgeois production; by means of measures, therefore, which appear economically insufficient and untenable, but which, in the course of the movement, outstrip themselves, necessitate further inroads upon the old social order, and are unavoidable as a means of entirely revolutionizing the mode of production. Nevertheless, in most advanced countries, the following will be pretty generally applicable. 1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. 2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. 3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance. 4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels. 5. Centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly. 6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state. 7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan. 8. Equal obligation of all to work. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture. 9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country. 10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc. |
Note, please, the emphasis on No. 2 of Marx's to-do list for bring about his perfect communist society. After Marx takes care of eliminating private property he turns his attention to the establishment of a progressive income tax .. exactly the type of income tax system in the United States right now. It is interesting to note that since the collapse of Communism and the Soviet Union most Eastern European countries, former members of the Soviet bloc, have abandoned their progressive income tax systems in favor of a flat tax. Among the world's leading economic powers, the United States is getting close to standing alone in its continued adherence to the Marxist idea of a progressive income tax. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but it seems to me that the interests of our country would be better served by railing against the Marxist origins of our present income tax system rather than promoting a fictional account of a Scientology connection to the creation of the FairTax. Again, though, that's just me ... and we all know that I'm just a bit strange. AND A SIDE-NOTE
Those of you who took the time to read the ten points outlined by Karl Marx in his manifesto .. the ten things that need to be done to bring about his communist society .. probably noticed No. 10. "Free education for all children in public schools." Well, of course we all understand that nothing is free. Refer back to No. 2. I just bring this to your attention to make sure that you understand that the idea of government-controlled and mandated education isn't an idea that just appeared out of thin air. As with the progressive income tax, it's all a part of empowering government at the expense of personal freedom. YES, THAT WAS I ...
Found a few emails last night on the 'puter that went something like this: - "It was good to hear your professional radio voice introducing the players today."
- "Loved you at the PGA TOUR Championship... much better than the other old farts they usually have announcing the best in the world."
- "Was that you announcing the players at tee-off? I recognized that unique voice (me thinks)"
- "Nice job introducing Tiger and his partner at 1410 on Sunday, Neal. I was watching with family and said "Hey! That's Uncle Neal!" Everyone was excited, 'cuz we all love you long time. Hearing your voice made the sacrifice worth it (Golf fans vs. Football fans and Football lost)."
Indeed, my friends .. it was none other than the old hacker himself introducing the best in the world on the 1st tee and the 18th green at the closing round of the Tour Championship. After watching every one of these guys tee off, and then watching them hit to the green on 18, I can not only affirm that, as they say, "these guys are good;" I think I can safely say that they're another species entirely. I want to thank Dave Johnson, the chairman for the announcer's committee, and everyone else involved for affording me this honor. It was a wonderful afternoon well worth cutting my vacation short by one day. By the way ... the two nicest golfers? Charles Howell III (I know, not "the second,") and Rory Sabbatini. Mexican President Vicente Fox calls George Bush "the cockiest guy I have ever met in my life"? This from the man who thinks that he can tell the United States how and to what extent it can protect its own border? I love this ... for all of your liberal warmers out there: Jane Fonda is being blamed for what? You guessed it ... global warming! More like global smarming. Madeleine Albright says that Hillary is not a cold fish. Right ... can feel the warmth. Listening to Albright tell us who is and who is not a cold fish is like listening to me telling you who is and is not obnoxious. Hillary Clinton calls General Petraeus a liar? No real shocker there. This woman has never felt anything for our military except pure disdain. Remember, she's the one who had Marines in their dress blues serving canapés at the White House. When she's sworn in members of our military around the globe are going to sigh, hang their heads, shrug their shoulders, wonder what in the hell is wrong with the American voters ... and then go out there and do their job as best they can. Hillary Clinton is going to reveal her earth-shattering healthcare plan sometime this week. I know that you are just itching to hear what liberal horsesqueeze she will come up with this time ... specifics aside, it is guaranteed to be "from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs." This could soon be us ... the British masses are demanding that rich people pay more taxes. Some 84% of British voters think that the earnings gap between the rich and poor is too large. Liberal Democratic leaders say the wealthy have done "too well" and it is time to "redress the balance". By the way ... it isn't an earnings gap ... it's an achievement gap.
