ALERT! PHELPS MORONS HEADING TO AUGUSTA!
Oh man ... I'm spitting fire. Usually what it takes to get me close to a rage is to see a weak person or an animal abused. Now we have a weak animal abusing a strong person .. a strong person who died in the Virginia Tech atrocity of Monday.
Fred Phelps [video, if you can stomach it], who, by the way, I strongly believe to be gay, has decided to bring his Westboro Baptist Church thugs --- you know, the people with the "God Hates Fags signs --- to Augusta, Georgia to demonstrate outside of the funeral of Ryan Clark, the resident advisor who was murdered at Virginia Tech this past Monday. If you have the stomach for it, you might want to click on this link to read a bit about this pathetic creature and his plans. I hope the Patriot Guard Riders will break with their tradition of only attending military funerals and show up in Augusta, and anywhere else they are needed, to block the public view of this creature at Ryan Clark's funeral and any other funerals of Virginia Tech victims where he might show up. A caller suggested that if we went and made you look at Fred Phelps' website, we should give you the antidote after having to go through that. She suggested the following parody sites for your enjoyment: FAIRTAX IN GEORGIA? I THINK NOT
The Republican Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives announced yesterday that in next year's session the Republicans would roll out a complete overhaul of Georgia's tax system. He's calling it the "FairTax."
It is not. Glenn Richardson knows that the FairTax is wildly popular in Georgia and elsewhere. He has a tax reform proposal that resembles the FairTax only in the sense that it includes a sales tax ... then he gives it the FairTax name in a lame attempt to tie it to The FairTax Act currently being considered in the U.S. Congress. - The Georgia legislation does not get rid of the state income tax. The FairTax gets rid of federal income taxes.
- The Georgia legislation calls for an exclusive sales tax. The FairTax establishes an inclusive sales tax.
- The Georgia legislation makes no provisions to exempt every citizen from the responsibility of paying taxes on the purchases of the basic necessities of life, as determined by the poverty level. The FairTax does.
The legislation being developed by Georgia republicans may well be worthy of some serious consideration, but they need to end this charade of calling it the FairTax right here and right now. If their plan is good enough let it stand on its own and not on a name developed by a superior and better known tax reform plan. Oh, by the way, "FairTax" is a registered trademark by Americans For Fair Taxation. Here come the lawsuits! Montebello High School, California
INVESTED IN DEFEAT. INVESTED IN AMERICA'S HUMILIATION
How's this for supporting our troops? Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Democrat (of course) has now declared that the United States has lost the war in Iraq. He told President Bush that the war could not be won through military force ... in effect saying that the U.S. military is incapable of defeating the Islamic fascist enemy.
Know this ... there is no way in hell that you can say you support our troops when you say that our troops cannot win the battle. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell put it well: "I can't begin to imagine how our troops in the field, who are risking their lives every day, are going to react when they get back to base and hear that the Democrat leader of the United States Senate has declared the war is lost," I might put it a bit differently. What do you call a political leader in this country who declares a war to be lost while our men and women in uniform are putting their lives on the line to win that war. What do you call a highly placed political leader who puts a smile on the faces of the Islamic terrorist bastards who are out there trying to kill our soldiers. There's a word for it .. and it's a word that those of you who listen to my show will know that I don't use. That word is traitor. Dictionary.com has a few definitions for the word. See how you like them: 1. A person who betrays another, a cause or any trust. 2. A person who commits treason by betraying his or her country So ... what is treason? Giving aid and comfort to the enemy during a time of war. Did Reid's comments give aid to the Islamic fascists trying to kill our soldiers? How can anyone not say that Harry Reid's words did just that? The only question then is whether, in the definition of treason, we can be said to be at war. This may be Reid's escape. For my part, he has not only given aid and comfort to the enemy, he has emboldened them. I feel certain that American men and women in Iraq will die as a result of Reid's words encouraging the people who want to kill them. Bastard. Know this .... Democrats are absolutely invested in our defeat at the hands of the Islamic insurgents in Iraq. Good news in Iraq is bad news for the Democrat Party MoveOn.org crowd. They watch the news every day looking eager for more stories of violence in Iraq aimed at innocents and our soldiers. The absence of those stories makes them sad. The presence of those stories lift their spirits. Never in the history of this country has a political party been so dedicated to our defeat in armed conflict. ATLANTA RIDE FOR KIDS Atlanta area folks, join hundreds of other motorcyclists (and maybe even me if I can work it out) for the Atlanta Ride For Kids, a scenic ride through the Georgia countryside, Sunday, June 3rd. 'Nuff said. The Killer's grandparents say that they are glad he is dead. Join the club. OK .. hopefully you're sitting down now. One Dr. Todd Boyd, professor of critical studies at the University of Southern California (where else? --- well, it could have been Berkley) writes that: Ultimately, the fact that rappers are now being held accountable for something Imus said shows the bias many people have against hip-hop culture. Yeah ... according this "professor" when young black men call black women "bitches and hos" it's just " a unique form of fictional expression that emerges from the minds and mouths of young black men." Of course when Don Imus says it it's racism. He gets fired. Rappers get Bentleys. Here's a column from Rollingstone.com you might want to read. Have you heard this one? Alec Baldwin apparently is a jerk! Who would have thunk it? Not only a jerk, but perhaps a borderline child abuser? Listen to Alec Baldwin's threatening message to his daughter. In case you have a problem, here's a direct link to the audio. Careful ... I think there might be a dirty word in there. Don't want you to be offended, do we? If you aren't angry enough at Fred Phelps and his ilk, Louis Theroux lived with the Phelps for three weeks and here is the resulting video, The Most Hated Family in America. It has multiple parts, so keep going if you dare. Really really bad father makes his son wear a sandwich board telling everyone of his errant behavior. I'm on the dad's side. It's Friday ... so here's a list of sexy celebrities. I'm not on it. Imagine my distress. The truth about urban legend debunker site snopes.com. Message: I know you are not going to believe this. I did not believe it and I was in the classroom when the teacher told me. He told the class that due to the junior college that I attend being sued by a student, he had to ask our permission to ask us questions in class. He stated that if you did not want to be asked questions in class you were to let him know and he would never again ask you a question in class. This was brought about by a student suing the college because they felt they were being picked on and harassed by a teacher asking them questions in class. |
