TEEN SHOOTING IN SALT LAKE CITY We've all heard about the teenager who killed five people at a mall in Salt Lake City. On Fox News last night I heard the kid described as a Bosnian. My guess is that in just a few days we'll find out that this kid was a Muslim. Let's see just how wrong I am here.

 THE DITZY TWITS
 OK .. I feel better now. The conventional wisdom is that the Twits won their Grammy awards not because of their music, but because of their anti-Bush sentiments. The awards were to sooth their hurt feelings after the beating they took from country radio after they chose to attack their president from a platform on foreign soil. Some of the people who actually voted on the Grammy awards have admitted the motivations behind their votes. So .. to all of you who think that the country stations should start playing the Twits again because of their Grammys ... the awards were for political correctness, not artistic merit. I'm still keeping them off my iPod. That'll show 'em.
THE HOUSE RESOLUTION House Democrats have introduced a new anti-war resolution [full text pdf].. I like to call it the "Capitulation Resolution." It is aimed at denouncing President Bush's 21,000 troop surge. Some say that it is meaningless .. that all it does is disapprove of the war escalation. Wrong. This Capitulation Resolution weakens America. It shows a lack of commitment to fighting Islamic terrorists on their home base. There is no way in hell the Islamic fascists can take anything but comfort and encouragement from this exercise. When Islamic fascists see what they believe weakness, they resolve to take advantage. I firmly believe that Americans will die as a direct result of the resolution being pushed by Democrats - with no small amount of help from some Republicans - in the U.S. House. War has been declared on us. We need to recognize the threat and act ... not show our lack of resolve. REASONS TO FEAR HILLARY
 According to media reports, Hillary Clinton said at a recent campaign gathering: "I know what Gingrich tells people privately, I know what DeLay tells people privately, I know what Karl Rove tells people privately. I'm the one person they are most afraid of. Bill and I have beaten them before and we will again." That's right...and there are many reasons to fear The Hildabeast. With the strong possibility that Hillary Rodham Clinton will be sworn in as President of the United States in less than 2 years, here are just some of the reasons we should all be afraid...very afraid: - More socialism. That's right...Hillary Clinton believes that the government knows best, which means government control of just about everything she can imagine. Her biggest goal remains unchanged: socialized medicine and raising taxes to cover all government spending. Hold on to your wallet.
- Hillary would be the commander in chief. Ponder that thought for just a minute. A woman who has long held our military in complete contempt would be the commander in chief. My guess ... watch retirements go up sharply as soon as she wins. Disgusting thought.
- And if that's not enough, Hillary Clinton would be in charge of appointing Supreme Court justices. Take a look at the court...there are few that are getting up there. Want to kiss your private property goodbye? Just let The Hildabeast install a few judges on the Supreme Court.
So yes, Hillary's right...we do have reasons to fear her. But there is still time for somebody else to win the race...maybe. IRAN IS GOING TO HAVE THE BOMB Some intelligence types are now saying that the West has been asleep at the switch for too long ... it's a done deal. Iran is going to have their nuclear bomb. Will one of these devices ever make it into the hands of some Islamic terrorists? If so ... what next? And if Muslim goons do happen to get their hands on a nuclear device and detonate it in the United States --- and if tens of thousands of Americans die -- are we going to remember the Democrats and the peace-at-any-price crowd who emasculated our efforts to control Islamic terrorism at its home base? Inquiring minds, and all that. UPDATING THE VALERIE PLAME NON-AFFAIR
 The media is all worked up because Robert Novak testified in the Libby trial that Karl Rove told him Valerie Plame worked at the CIA. What's missing in all of the media coverage is that none of this matters, because neither Karl Rove nor anyone else is on trial for disclosing Valerie Plame's name, which wasn't a secret. So once again Scooter Libby continues to be prosecuted for lying about something that he had no reason to lie about. Only in Washington.
Ignoring the truth, the mainstream media continues to advance the lie that Valerie Plame's identity was a secret that was passed around by Cheney, Armitage, Libby and Karl Rove. It wasn't a secret. And even if it was, it wasn't a secret that needed keeping by law...because Valerie Plame wasn't a covert agent. That would explain why Patrick Fitzgerald, the special prosecutor, brought no charges against anyone for leaking her name.
So now, Scooter Libby, who as far as the media is concerned is the most powerful government official in the history of the world, is on trial for no reason. If he's acquitted, perhaps the American taxpayers can get a refund of all the money wasted on his prosecution.

Australian Prime Minister John Howard is refusing to retract any of his comments about Barack Obama, despite cries from the opposition in his own country. In fact, he goes even further...saying if he hears any more comments that are contrary to Australia's national interests...he'll speak out against those comments too.
Evidently the White House is looking at the case of the two Border Patrol agents imprisoned over the shooting of a Mexican drug smuggler. Tony Snow says once the transcripts of the trial are ready, the president will take a look at them. Whose side will Bush choose, the Mexican invaders' or federal law enforcement?
Bank of America is introducing a new credit card specifically aimed at illegal aliens. Thanks, guys...anything else up your sleeve to promote and encourage the breaking of our laws and the continuation of the Mexican invasion? How about letting them have checking accounts? Oh, you do that already.
The president of the Czech Republic is taking on Al Gore and at the same time calling global warming a myth. Of the accusation that humans are ruining the Earth, President Vaclav Klaus said "Perhaps only Mr. Al Gore may be saying something along these lines: a sane person can't." Priceless.
One of the controversial bloggers from John Edwards' campaign has resigned over her anti-Catholic comments. Edwards had initially stood by her, which means her days were numbered. Evidently a second blogger is now in the crosshairs. Bizarre.
We have a new deal with North Korea...and this time the Norks are saying they'll shut down their nuclear reactor. No, really...this time they mean it. The Gargoyle must be running out of Playstations or he's having problem getting those new Sopranos DVDs.
Boston Globe Columnist Ellen Goodman caused quite a stir when she compared those who question global warming with Holocaust deniers. Dennis Prager sounds off on the comparison, saying the accusation deserves a further look.
Former New York Mayor Ed Koch, an ardent Bush supporter, says we should be making an alliance with Russia. The reason: Islamic terrorism is on the march...and both countries have a vested interest in defeating this global menace.
Hillary Clinton is going to have a tough time with the anti-war Left...because she still refuses to cut off funding for the war and still hasn't fully repudiated her vote in favor of the war in the first place. Christopher Hitchens says there are problems with Clinton's ability to denounce the war.
Thomas Sowell weighs in on the whole global warming argument. He says the Earth's temperature has been rising and falling for centuries...long before SUV's were invented.
