SOMEBODY'S GOTTA SAY IT!

Well ... the time has come. The deadline for sending in the manuscript for Somebody's Gotta Say It is Saturday morning. The book will be on your book store shelves on February 20th, and a book tour starts that very day!

Being the brinksman that I am, I'm going to be slammed right up till the time I hit the "send" button making sure I've said just about everything I wanted to say in the book .. so that means I've asked my staff to come up with some program notes for today.

By the way, you can go online to order your copy of Somebody's Gotta Say It right now. Here are your links to Barnes & Noble.com and to Amazon.com

By the way! You can still get an autographed copy of The FairTax Book in time for Christmas. Here's your link!

AN IMMIGRATION CRACKDOWN....SORT OF

Agents from ICE, that is the Immigration and Customs Enforcement department raided meatpacking plants in six states yesterday. The targets: illegal aliens working in the plants. So what were these invaders from the South arrested on? Identity theft charges. Seems they stole other people's identity to get their jobs. So will company officials be arrested and charged with hiring illegal aliens? Will those arrested be deported? Nope and nope.

Once again, our toothless immigration policies are at work here. The raid was huge, by the way...some 1,000 agents were involved. It was the result of an 11-month investigation. According to a Homeland Security official "the signal we're intending to send here is we're serious about work site enforcement, and those individuals who steal identities of U.S. citizens will not escape action from us." Not so fast. The real signal you're sending is that the United States will continue to do nothing about illegal immigration....for two reasons.

One, those illegals arrested are not going to automatically be deported. Shouldn't this be a no-brainer? But no...we can't possibly kick any of the 12 million Mexican invaders out of the country. That would be politically incorrect. Second, the officials who run these meatpacking plants aren't being arrested for hiring illegal aliens. It's obvious they knew what was going on...and chose to look the other way in the name of cheap labor.

Now we have another element to the story. Unions. Yup, The union representing Swift & Company workers was in federal court trying to get an injunction against the raids. The union is asking questions about violations of the illegal's civil rights. Spare me. The union also said that the raid was designed to "terrorize" the illegals. Spare me another time. Oh .... and we're also getting the "exploitation" line. These poor, poor innocent illegal aliens were just used by these mean mean corporations.

So ... was this for show? Or are we going to get serious about the Mexican invasion?

NEW RACISM POLL OUT

A new poll says racism lingers in the United States. According to a poll conducted for CNN, only about 1 in 8 Americans admit to being a racist. And we all know that according to the media, being a racist is worse than killing someone. The truth is the race pimps of the world don't ever want racism to go away. And neither does the mainstream media.

Why? Because it would be bad for business. As long as there remains racism in our society, those that profit from it will be without a job. The racism industry is quite the thriving enterprise for people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. What would The Sloganmaster do with his free time if there wasn't any racism?

There are always going to be people who don't like other people, which by the way isn't racism. Instead of obsessing about it and constantly worrying about how to fix the problem, we should just ignore it. There are only racial problems in this country because certain people keep bringing it up over and over again.

And only 1 in 8? It's obviously much higher than that. What an evil place we live in. Jesse is going to need donations now from the other 7.

By the way .. the people who designed the poll don't have a clue about the true definition of racism.

IRAN OFFICIALLY NOW A THREAT

The United States has been telling the world for what...oh about 10 years that Iran was a threat to the world because of its nuclear ambitions? And we have been ignored....and admonished...and told that we should sit down and talk to Mahmoud Whatshisface. Thanks to global Islamic appeasement, we've been made to look like the bad guy.

But now, since Iran is hosting this Holocaust forum in which they are denying the Holocaust ever took place, suddenly Iran is evil just for that reason. Germany's leader says Iran should never be allowed to have a nuclear bomb. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the Holocaust is a myth. Tony Blair says he is outraged beyond belief. Excuse me, but shouldn't we be worrying just a bit less about some Holocaust forum full of nutcases and more about Iran's financing and training of terrorists? How about their nuclear ambitions?

It would seem people are more worried about what Iran thinks of something that happened 60 years ago than what is going on now...which is their relentless quest for a nuclear weapon and their support for Al-Qaeda. Perhaps the world will wake up to what we've been saying for a long time now.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that one.

REDNECK SCRAP BOOK

I bet the lucky redneck lady squealed with delight when she received this. More in the Redneck Scrap Book.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Dr. Walter E. Williams is coming out in favor of the FairTax...under three conditions. He reviews the Talkmaster's book in his latest column, and he rather likes the idea. But only if Congress does a few things first.

With the 2008 presidential race heating up, Herman Cain is already turning to 2016
...and possible candidates for the GOP ticket. You may be surprised to learn just who he has in mind. Hint: it involves somebody with a green jacket and a few golf clubs.

With the unpopularity of the War On Terror, you would think that the military is having problems recruiting people. That would be incorrect. Not only are the services meeting their recruiting goals, but they're exceeding them.

The Hildabeast is now being more and more open about her intentions of running for president in 2008. She held an intimate evening with Democratic activists with ties to Iowa. And just why would she do that? Oh, that's right...she's just "listening." Uh-huh.

So if the 2008 Democratic ticket winds up being Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, where does that leave Republicans? Nowhere, as it turns out. In fact, there's already some hand-wringing going on in the GOP.

The Poodle is headed to Baghdad. Kerry is still backpedaling from his disastrous remark about people who don't go to college winding up serving in Iraq. Evidently he wants to see the situation in Iraq up close. But no worries, ever the appeaser...he'll be working in a visit to Syria along the way.

A new poll finds that most of the American people favor the Iraq Study Group proposal on what to do in the war. The mainstream media's brainwashing campaign has worked.....people are ready to cut and run..and surrender that which we've won to terrorists.

Jack Kelly reviews the significance of incoming Intelligence Committee Chairman Silvestre Reyes' gaffe over what sort of Muslims comprise Al-Qaeda. Kelly says that sadly, Reyes is not alone among politicians in his ignorance about the war on terror.

John Stossel explores the question of whether or rich people are cheap or not. He recently discovered that the working poor give more to charity than do more well-off people. So what about the rich? Read on to find out.

It's been making all sorts of headlines lately...so Byron York is investigating: did the Clinton Administration spy on Princess Diana? If it did happen, was it done without a warrant? Inquiring minds want to know.
