WHY DO WE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS?
Yesterday the president of Venezuela Hugo Chavez took to the podium at the United Nations and spoke to the General Assembly. In his speech, he slammed President Bush, calling him "The Devil" and talked about the Noam Chomsky book he's been reading. That should be enough to tell you everything this crazy leftist stands for...but there was more to the story.
Sounding like he was reading a script prepared by the Democrat Party and Moveon.org, Chavez ranted on and on about how the United States was an imperialist nation that didn't really want peace. He criticized Bush for thinking he owned the world and called him an imperialist, fascist and an assassin. Not much of a surprise. But in making his remarks, Chavez made Bush's point.
One by one, these supposedly elected tinhorn dictators are making the Bush Administration's point. Hugo Chavez is an America-hating socialist that cavorts with the world's thugs. He is an enemy of the United States, just like the president of Iran is. He would be saying what he is saying no matter who was in charge in the Oval Office. He hates George W. Bush because Bush doesn't give people like himself much wiggle room.
By the way, anyone notice the lack of response from the Democrats on these speeches by Chavez and the president of Iran? Do they agree with what they're saying? How about it, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Hillary Clinton? Are you going to not disagree with these crazies? It sure seems to be the case. Wouldn't you think that when some foreign footstool calls our president the "devil" that at least some of the loyal opposition would have something to say? Evidently not.
Why do we have to put up with this? Why do we have to open our arms to voids surrounded by a sphincter muscle like Hugo Chavez; allowing them to come to this country to demean our institutions? Why? The United nations, that's why.
but then .. Chavez had one fabulous idea in all of his rantings. He proposed moving the United Nations to Venezuela. That is a fabulous idea....get the whole sham of an organization completely out of here. He can have it.
Time for the Boortz Bag! Another jumper on an overpass in Atlanta
MEDIA PILING ON IN IRAQ
Things have actually been going a bit better in Iraq these days. Fewer American soldiers are dying and the Iraqis are slowly taking on more power and responsibilities. This presents a quandary for the media. You see, as part of their Bush-bashing template, they need to continue to push the war in Iraq as an un-winnable failure. The Democrats are counting on failure in Iraq to carry them to victory this fall.
That's right...the Democrats are actually invested in American failure in Iraq. They need more American troop deaths to put them over the top at the polls in November. They're counting on it. Only there's one small problem...the good news is picking up in Iraq. There isn't as much failure to go around these days. Uh-oh. We can't have this. Good news in Iraq is bad news for Democrats.
Enter the mainstream media. Just as always, they're coming to the rescue...eager to put their propaganda template in action and portray the Iraq war in a negative light. Among their recent tactics: start playing up civilian deaths and keep pushing this notion of a civil war. They also do everything they can to suppress good news coming out of Iraq.
For example, yesterday CNN aired an interview with Iraqi President Jalal Talibani. It was a positive interview, with Talibani grateful to the United States and George W. Bush for liberating his country. In addition, he was upbeat about putting down the insurgency and running things in his home country.
Where is this interview today? Nowhere. Is it making news? Is it a national news story? Nope. Had Talibani criticized George W. Bush or the United States, it would be plastered all over the media. But just as always, any news that is deemed favorable to the Bush Administration is ignored, while any negative coverage is played up.
For instance, today we hear that some Iraqis have died because they've been tortured by rival militias. That's George Bush's fault, you know...and it never happens anywhere else in the world except Iraq.
THINGS LOOKING UP FOR THE GOP
Republicans have been getting some welcome news of late....and Democrats have to be going into full-on panic mode. Recent polls show things are turning around for the GOP in the mid-term election races currently going on around the country. This is all going on with just 6 weeks left until the mid-term elections. Even President Bush's poll numbers are up. What gives?
Two things. One, gas prices are down...way down. All of the outrage over the oil companies and the Bush Administration's ties to Big Oil go away once the price of gasoline heads back down toward $2 a gallon. Right or wrong, that's just the way it is. So that's one big thing the Republicans have in their favor.
Second big reason: terrorism. There's been a lot going on lately, with the foiling in Britain of an Al-Qaeda plot to blow up airplanes and with other items in the news like the situation with Iran. Voters know that Democrats are appeasers...so they trust Republicans to keep them safe from Islamic terrorism. Will it be enough?
The GOP certainly deserves a fair amount of its current misfortune. Their current spendaholic ways, as well as problems with corruption and their inaction over illegal immigration are big reasons why the Democrats have them on the ropes. But just in case you're on the fence, ask yourself something.
When you go into the voting booth on November 7th, are you going to pull the lever/push the button/poke out the chad for the candidate that Osama Bin Laden, Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad want you to? Will you allow your hand to be guided by the wishes of Islamic terrorists?
It's an important choice...and the GOP still has time to come out on top.
NOW HERE'S SOMETHING YOU DON'T SEE EVERY DAY!
Marcus Thomas is the No. 1 defensive linesman for the University of Florida Gators. That would make Marcus Thomas a college jock. A big-time college jock. Marcus Thomas failed a drug test. His second failure. Marijuana. Marcus Thomas' mother is making excuses for him. No surprise there. There is a surprise though .................. Marcus Thomas has been suspended from the football team for five games. Marcus Thomas will appeal. We'll see what happens. Who knows? If the Gators lose a few games, the appeal might work! BE AFRAID. BE VERY AFRAID
OK ... how many of you would turn down an invitation to travel to Washington DC and sit in the Oval Office for a private conversation with the President? | Of course Bore zzzzzz would interrupt a vacation to talk to someone with huge name recognition like Georgie boy. The fact that anyone still listens to that pathetic, name-dropping, sellout America-hating, Zionist-loving radio whore is proof of the insanity of some people today. He is also a bigot on top of all the rest. | Neal is a fake - as is Bush. Meeting up with a gathering of Roman Catholics Ingraham, Gallagher, and Hannity, getting "koshered" by fake Jew Medved, to spin lies is nothing unexpected for Hitler's banker's grandson, draft-dodging closet-queen, and 9-11-committing Bush...a propaganda policy to make Goebbels proud. Was Rove's grandfather Nazi gauletier Von Roverer? Prescott Bush was Hitler's banker and his father killed Kennedy. Let's wise up Atlanta. Boortz is dodgy. What kind of "man" can't see just how gay Bush is? Maybe Boortz does overnights with known homosexual prostitutes like Jeff Gannon, too? Which marriage is he on? Limbaugh couldn't make the meeting. Perhaps he got a new prescription for his blue pills and some more child prostitutes were made available in the Dominican Republic? Perverts, dodgers, fascists, racists: Rome's Fifth Column is heading for the Abyss, thank G_d. | | It is very telling that this president would have a private meeting with these right wing radio types. It was obviously a propaganda strategy meeting to make sure they get his message out. I wouldn't be surprised to hear these radio hosts dismantling the character of Colin Powell, John Warner, John McCain, and Lindsey Graham in the next two weeks. It's a shame that we have a president who thinks dissent is "unacceptable" | | There is no question that this little story adds weight to the theory that "Great Minds Think Alike" except in this case its "Simple Minds Think Alike." | | Guess old W just wanted some real people he could talk to and explain things. Neil Blowhole, and Shill Hannity. Two of the biggest d******* in the biz who delight in making things up and demanding you believe they are true. Hey, kind of like the Bush/Cheney brain trust that's run this country into a ditch, and is now trying to blame the guy who gassed up the car. | | Anyone with any common sense would jump at the chance to meet with the President of the United States at any given time especially when the U.S. Government is picking up the tab for transportation and R/B. The person might not even like President Bush, but would thank him for the invitation. Neal Boortz on the other hand is so self-centered and egotistical, he made a statement such as the above bi-line. President Bush could have chosen someone else who would have greatly appreciated the invitation. Boortz, the self-righteous schmuck that he is would rather complain and complain. Boortz is basically wasted space and no one should ever care about what he splits out of his mouth. | | If there was ever any doubt about where the right-wing radio oracles get their marching orders, their little private meeting with "the boss" in the Oval Office should settle the matter. (Today's AJC Vent) | | Just a quick but serious question. How is it that intelligent people like yourself have come to hero-worship a stuttering, stumbling, and increasingly pathetic mental lightweight who pretends to be President of the United States and supposed leader of the free world? | | I'm so happy to hear that you were invited to the White House for an audience with our great leader. This ties your wheedling association with him around your neck leaving no doubt in the public's mind as to where you loyalties lie when the bush cartel's disgraceful crimes against America are finally, inevitably laid out for all to see in all their jaw dropping horror. At which point anyone with a shred of decency and intelligence will dump you in the garbage bin of lost causes and big mouthed jackasses forever. | | You are getting more like Rush Limpaw every day. Now we will hear about the smoozing with the nation's village idiot. Be sure to drop names and tell how impressed you are. | | So you are a mouthpiece for the White House? At least you finally admit it. People can understand the others taking their marching orders from Washington, but you claim you are a libertarian, or hav3e you dropped that all together? Nobody can really blame you for dropping everything to meet the president. Just drop the impartiality/libertarian charade. Actually it's not my place to tell you what to do. I just remember how you used to be before you started broadcasting from the Rose Garden and hanging out with the president. You had integrity then. It's a shame you kowtowed to their will. You were such a champion of free thinking and opponent of government. I suspect many of your stances will change on a dime when a Democrat takes the White House. Oh well, I guess when it comes to principle versus access to power, principles be damned. |
REDNECK SCRAP BOOK I wonder if the officer used in this sting was named Bossie? More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS

It looks like our old friend Terry McAwful is going to be running The Hildabeast's presidential campaign next year. Probably not a bad choice for Hillary...apparently he really knows how to raise the bucks, unlike his replacement at the DNC.
The Senate is taking up a bill that would erect a fence along one-third of the border between the United States and Mexico. With polls showing the GOP rebounding, will they keep up the momentum and do something to stem the flow of illegal aliens? Probably not.
The Jack Abramoff scandal is back in the news. White House Secret Service logs show that Grover Norquist and Ralph Reed paid several visits to the president. So what...how many Democratic Party activists came to visit Bill Clinton during his 8 years in office?
For months, we've heard that the Democrats are going to sweep both the House and the Senate this fall. But Victor Davis Hanson says the facts show otherwise. The Democrats seem to be getting ready to continue their losses of 2002 and 2004.
Dick Morris analyzes whether or not President Bush and the GOP can expect their recent surge to carry them to victory in the mid-term elections. Will it hold up, or are the Democrats' chances too good this year? Read on to find out.
Larry Elder looks at the reaction to the Pope's comments about Islam...and wants to know just why the supposed peaceful religion is being so violent. They're responding to the Pope's comments by proving them true. The Chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence says that Iraq is at the center of the war on terror. But what does he know? He's a Republican! All he wants is more profits for Halliburton ... right? Well ... we blame everything else on Global Warming ... why not the Mexican invasion?
