DAMN, LADY! WE'RE GONNA MISS YOU!
Well, Cynthia. I tried. Lord knows I tried. I tried to tell my conservative and libertarian friend out there that they would be better off with a barking moonbat Democrat such as yourself in office than with a liberal Democrat who might actually be taken seriously. Some listened ... but not enough.
Just wondering: Are you eligible for unemployment benefits if you're fired by voters? Anyway ... we'll all be listening today as you rail against electronic voting machines and those crossover Republicans. Is your dad going to step forth and say anything about those J-E-W-S? They did pretty much desert you, didn't they? I guess that at a time when Jews are listening to Muslims talk about wiping Israel off the face of the map, it's probably not such a good idea to receive the bulk of your campaign contributions from Muslims. But, those are the people who wanted to pour money into your campaign ... so what are you going to do? Send it back? You have a few months now to pay back your Muslim contributors by continuing to rail against the President's determination to fight the Islamic Radicals. Oh ... and about the next few months. Can we count on you to show your ass at least once or twice before the next congress is sworn in? I know the temptation to slither off somewhere and just pout will be strong ... but how about an encore or two? Maybe you could do a joint press conference with that Alex Jones character and that university professor from Wisconsin or Minnesota (sorry .. I forgot) about how 9-11 was some sort of an inside job! What the hell ... might as well go out with a bang. Just think about it ... If you had just said "I'm sorry officer, I'm Cynthia McKinney. I've changed my hairdo, perhaps you didn't recognize me." Just 15 words. All you had to do was just be a little human for just a moment -- to show some courtesy to a man who's job might require him to stand between you and a bullet --- but you just couldn't pull it off, could you? You had to turn it into a racial incident. You had to call this man who was just doing his job a racist .... and now can you imagine how he and his fellow Capitol Hill cops are celebrating! One bad moment --- and you're out on year ear. Life's a bitch, isn't it, Cynthia? Neal On Larry King Live Neal will be on Larry King Live tonight. It airs 9-10pm ET on CNN. |
Any idea what you're going to do now to earn a livelihood? Hey! Here's an idea! How about a talk show! You certainly have the mouth for it! Would you like to come be a guest host for me when I take my next vacation? You and Herman Cain alternating days ... now THAT would get some attention, don't you think? With a little experience Air America might pick you up! Air America is doing so well pretty much everywhere .... I'm just sure they're looking for some new talent. You can trust me on this one: It pays a lot better than being in congress, though you run for reelection every three months instead of once every two years. Well ... don't be a stranger, Cynthia. You can rant about electronic voting machines. You can beat your gums about all of those Republicans contributing to your opponent. And we all know you're going to continue to pay back the folks who brung you to the dance by condemning any effort our president makes to hold back the Islamic jihad. Well, we have some good news for you as you depart. It looks like Bush is moving to the appeasement side of the aisle! Damn .. and just as you were leaving town! Yup, Cynthia ... we know you don't forget those who supported you, so remember that I spent the last three weeks encouraging people to return you to congress. We certainly put the lie to that "most powerful man in Georgia" BS, didn't we? It doesn't really matter that I was supporting your reelection because I so enjoyed watching you make a fool out of yourself and embarrassing the Democrats ... a vote is a vote, right? Oh well, Cynthia. Gonna miss you, big time. Maybe you can get a staff position with Ned Lamont! If, that is, the voters of Connecticut get suddenly smart. CAIR might have a position for you, and I'll bet that Moveon.org would just love to have you hanging from the rafters in their cave. Keep in touch. Don't let the doorknob hit ya! JOE LIEBERMAN MAKES HIS NEXT MOVE
Joe Lieberman was punished yesterday by the anti-war peace-at-any-price left in Connecticut for one thing: supporting the war against Islamic terrorism in Iraq. A candidate with lots of money and little political experience, Ned Lamont, picked off Lieberman by 4 points in the Democratic primary. Lieberman says he will now run as an independent in the fall election, which is just 3 months away.
Can Lieberman win? Sure, anything is possible. In a 3-way race between Lamont, Lieberman and the Republican candidate (there actually is one,) Lieberman has as good a shot as he's ever had. The media is reporting this morning that this is some kind of barometer nationally for the Democrats, but really it doesn't amount to much. Let's look at the facts.
For one, if Lieberman ultimately loses his seat this fall to Lamont, it just maintains the status quo for the Democrats in the Senate. Second, this is actually bad news for Hillary Clinton. As Dick Morris points out in today's reading assignments, she voted for the war in Iraq too, just like Joe Lieberman. One fact that gets swept under the rug is that many Democrats authorized the invasion, including The Poodle.
And one thing to also remember is that this was just a Democratic primary vote. Once everybody goes to the polls...Republicans, Independents and Democrats...the whole game could change. But make no mistake: the victory in Connecticut last night wasn't for Ned Lamont, it was for Islamic terrorists who got the appeasement candidate they were looking for.
It's a shame that there's no room in today's Democratic party for decent people like Joe Lieberman.Just remember this: The vote in Connecticut should lead you to the inescapable conclusion that you just cannot count on the Democrat Appeasement Party to defend this country against radical Islam. The Islamic war against the west is heating up, and as the flames grow hotter the Democrat Moveon.org voters of Connecticut fire the fireman.
NOW THE AP HAS A PHOTO PROBLEM
Fresh off the Reuters photo controversy, people have begun taking a closer look at the photos provided by the Associated Press. The first photo under scrutiny is of a woman in front of a pile of rubble. The caption for the photo, published by Reuters, reads "A Lebanese woman wails after looking at the wreckage of her apartment, in a building, that was demolished by the Israeli attacks in southern Beirut." Poor lady. Too bad those mean, evil Israelis leveled her house. What will she do now?
Hold on just a sec ... there's a problem. Two weeks later, along comes the Associated Press with a photo of the same woman. This time she's standing in front of a different pile of rubble, with a caption that reads "A Lebanese woman reacts at the destruction after she came to inspect her house in the suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon." Now, as one bloggers pointed out, either this is the unluckiest homeowner in Beirut, she's a huge real estate investor, or something fishy is going on.
Wait ... it gets better. This time it involves another AP photo. They ran a photo of several bodies in a row with sheets on top of them. Again, murdered innocents by those evil Israelis. The only problem? One of the "dead" bodies in the photo is sitting up. Last time I checked, dead people don't sit upright with a sheet on their head. Which means the photo was obviously staged and nobody in the photo is probably dead. The person sitting up just didn't get into position fast enough. (Taranto updated the story to note that this may be explained by the body being in rigor in a sitting position.)
Then there's one involving the New York Times, and this is priceless. They ran two photos...one of a man being "rescued" from the rubble of a demolished building. But then they ran another photo, this time of the same man doing a little rescuing himself. Once again, obviously a staged photo.
Isn't the Internet great? For decades, the mainstream media has gotten away with anti-Semitic propaganda like this, but now they're being called on it. Can you imagine the thousands of photos that are now going to be exposed as frauds? Priceless.
OLBERMANN'S NAZI SALUTE
Keith Olbermann, desperate for attention because he's in fourth place in the cable news race, (that's right...he's behind Fox News, CNN and Headline News) has been riding Bill O'Reilly's coattails. That's weak, but whatever. He can do whatever he wants until his employer takes him off the air and puts on more prison lockup shows.
But there's one thing that he's finally being called to account over. And that's his use of the Nazi salute when pretending to be Bill O'Reilly. The implication is that Fox News is really a Nazi propaganda machine. Always remember the following template when it comes to liberals. If a liberal has lost an argument and has absolutely nothing left to say, they will call their opponent a Nazi. The Democrats have been doing it to George Bush for 5 1/2 years.
But those who are offended by Olbermann's tactics have gotten tired of it. So the Anti-Defamation League fired off a letter to Olbermann which read, in part:
"As a respected and well-known media personality, your actions have consequences and can set a standard for others to emulate. We are especially concerned that young people viewing your program might take their cues from your free use of the "Sieg Heil" salute."
They may have gone overboard with the "respected" part, but they have a point. But what's most interesting is this: what if Bill O'Reilly or Rush Limbaugh were going around using the Nazi salute. Do you think the mainstream media would be giving them the same pass they're giving Olbermann? Absolutely not. But because Olbermann is a liberal Democrat, he gets a pass.
Which all proves one thing: not only is the media biased, but it's biased in the way it even covers itself.

REDNECK SCRAP BOOK Maybe that car on blocks in the front yard could be put to better use. More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS
Michelle Malkin breaks down the Reuters photo controversy and says it points to the larger issue of how the mainstream media is covering the war on terror these days. She says the Reuters situation is not an isolated case.
A man was arrested in California by border officers after it was discovered he was trying to smuggle illegal aliens into the country...sewn into the seats of his van. Some people will do anything for cheap labor.
Iran is hinting at an August 22nd 'doomsday date' for Israel. Evidently they may have something special planned for the country they've vowed should be wiped off the map. I'm sure whatever it is, the international community will blame Israel for it.
Dick Morris has a different take on the Joe Lieberman defeat in the Connecticut Democratic primary. He says the big loser isn't Lieberman, it's Hillary Clinton. Why? Because she voted for the war too.
Former New York Mayor Ed Koch, himself quite the liberal, says he'll be backing Joe Lieberman in the fall election. In fact, Koch goes so far as to say Lieberman will win that election. Why? Because he's right on terrorism.
Tony Blankley reports on a disturbing policy trend in the Bush Administration: appeasement. It seems, according to one columnist, that the White House will be backing plans for a cease-fire that will leave Hezbollah in place.
Some argue that all of the personal injury lawsuits out there make us more safe, since they drive the bad companies out of business and harmful products off the market. John Stossel says otherwise, making the argument that the lawsuits make us less safe. Always a good read.
Much is being made of the BP pipeline shutdown at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. What does it all mean for us and the price of gasoline? Ronald Bailey steps in to demystify the situation.
Dr. Walter E. Williams looks at the minimum wage debate. How can it be that perfectly reasonable, normal people are in favor of raising the minimum wage yet equally decent people oppose it? Read on for your daily economics lesson.
The media is always reporting on one study or another. Thomas Sowell, who once worked at the Labor Department in Washington, D.C. as an economist, says you can make any study say whatever you want. |
