WMD'S FOUND IN IRAQ...LOTS OF THEM

We've known for several months that weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq.  Despite the mainstream media and the Democrats' lying to the contrary, several chemical weapons have been found that qualify as WMD.  But people have ignored the evidence...since it would blow a hole in their 'Bush Lied, people died' nonsense. To be fair, the Bush Administration has done little to correct the record on this issue.

Now a new report from the Pentagon sheds some light on just how many WMDs have been found, and it's a lot.  We're not just talking an old Sarin shell here and there.  No less than 500 chemical weapons have been found since 2003, according to a recently declassified defense department intelligence report.  The weapons are of the mustard gas and Sarin nerve gas variety...nasty stuff.

So why isn't this major breaking news?

Because the WMDs are said to be manufactured before 1991....not in recent years.  Therefore, the mainstream media and the Democrats don't count those.  For some reason, they want WMDs made in recent years.  Evidently the left likes their mustard gas just a little fresher.  But that's not the point.  This stuff can kill ... but to the left it's harmless.

All that matters is Saddam Hussein was lying when he said he got rid of all his WMDs.  He clearly did not. Also, what do you suppose would have happened had Hussein sold some of these WMD's to Islamic terrorists?  It wouldn't have been pretty.  But this story will be ignored...and the leftist propaganda machine that says Saddam Hussein wasn't a threat will roll on.

SEND IN YOUR GLOBAL WARMING STORY

"It's global warming's fault I got this stupid caphead sunburn"

ABC News is going to be doing a story about global warming.....so it's soliciting viewers to send in their stories about how global warming has affected them.  The network's website says "We're currently producing a report on the increasing changes in our physical environment, and are looking for interesting examples of people coping with the differences in their daily lives. Has your life been directly affected by global warming?"

Oh yeah ... write ABC and tell them how a rise in global temperatures of less than one degree has just absolutely changed your life.

Something tells me this won't be a fair and balanced report about global warming.  In fact, there are probably several facts about the global warming debate that ABC will ignore.  Here's a few, just in case you get into an argument with a bedwetting environmentalist crazy.

So ABC's story should be a real piece of work.  What possible evidence are people going to send in?  That's it's been a hot summer so far?

THE POODLE BACKPEDALS A BIT

John Kerry is clarifying his position on his call for our troops in Iraq to cut and run.  Actually, all Democrats are.  Since they know terms like 'cut and run' and 'surrender' are unpopular, they have chosen a new new-speak phrase: 'redeployment.'  That's a good one.  But now sKerry has gone a bit further.

He now says that pulling out all American troops by July 2007 (a date he pulled out of thin air, by the way) would "empower" Iraq.  Actually, surrendering now or on an announced future date would not empower Iraqis....it would empower Al-Qaeda.  Because then they would know just how long they have to wait before we leave.

No matter what they call it, taking the troops out of Iraq before the mission is done is cutting and running.  All of this redeployment or "phased redeployment" talk is just a fancy way of surrendering to the the terrorists in Iraq.  But can you really blame the Democrats?  This is all they  have...it is their number one issue in the mid-term elections this fall and it's all they have so far for 2008.  They are as invested in our defeat in Iraq as the insurgency is.

As it stands now, for Democrats to win at the polls, America has to lose in Iraq.

IMMIGRATION BILL ... LOOKS DEAD!

And this isn't necessarily a bad thing.  At long, long last the Republican-led congress has seemingly listened to the people.  Both the president and the Senate want a so-called immigration "reform" bill that would grant amnesty to the 11 million-plus gate crashers who have entered our country illegally and who have stayed here illegally.

Yesterday I told you the story of Hazleton, Pa. mayor Lou Barletta.  He's sick of it.  The population of Hazleton has gone from 5% Hispanic in 2000 to over 33% Hispanic now .. and most of them are there illegally.  Now he's having some rather serious crime problems in Hazleton.  He's now proposing to revoke the business license of any company that hires an illegal, and to impose a $1000 fine on any landlord who rents to one.  Mayor Barletta gets applause when he walks into the local diner.  Good for him

One local "immigrant" told the Associated Press that "most illegal immigrants obey the law."  Read that again.  "Most illegal immigrants obey the law."  What?  They're breaking the law every day they stay here.  They break the law by working here on their forged papers.  They broke the law coming here in the first place! This is how little these home-invaders understand about our system.  They break the law every single day ... then they tell us what wonderful law abiding people they are.  Hellloooooo!

At any rate --- no bill this year.  No amnesty.  But ... as soon as the election is over in November the money from employers looking for cheap labor and the potential for millions of new Hispanic voters will speak louder -- much louder -- than the will of the people.

No amnesty this year.  I'm taking no bets on next year.

MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE?

What do you think about the federal minimum wage?
Raise it
Keep it the same
Abolish the federal minimum wage...let the states handle it
Yup ... playing politics again.  Buying votes.  Less than 2% of American workers actually earn the federal minimum wage, and most of them for a very short period of time.  Nonetheless, it's a huge political football.  When election time comes around the Democrats can be counted on to start pushing their magic increase in the minimum wage

Tell me ... just where in our Constitution does it give the Imperial Federal Government of the United States the authority to set wages for private sector employees?  Can you find it?  Our Constitution specifically spells out the things that government can do and, then it specifically reserves all other matters for the people or for state governments.  So .. if the Constitution doesn't specifically grant this power to the feds, why do we tolerate it?

By the way .. here's what you won't hear from the general mainstream media.  Many union contracts are tied to the minimum wage.  If the minimum wage goes up, the pay for these union members goes up correspondingly.

Now do you see the big picture here?

REDNECK SCRAP BOOK

Hey, just because you're in a wheelchair, it doesn't mean you can't play in the mud! More in the Redneck Scrap Book.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Dan Rather is finally officially out at CBS.  '60 Minutes' correspondent Mike Wallace called it a "sad, bloody story."  More like a sad end to a sorry episode.  But after all those years, Rather finally got caught in the act.

The United States has officially told North Korea to go play in the traffic over their offer for direct talks about their missile test.  Meanwhile, China says they are concerned.  This one doesn't look like it's over yet.

A scientist says the San Andreas fault is about to blow...and will produce a massive earthquake at any time.  So what are people going to do?  Evacuate Los Angeles?  Not hardly.  They'll probably just blame it on global warming, and the rest of the taxpayers will pick up the tab.  There's a solution.  Luggage.

So much for permanently getting rid of the death tax.  The plan to totally eliminate estate taxes has gone by the wayside and is being replaced with a compromise plan.  Supporters are reluctantly going along with it.

2008 presidential candidate and Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney wants state troopers to be able to arrest illegal aliens, solely because of their immigration status.  The federal government is considering the request.

Two former Clinton Administration officials say North Korea cannot be allowed to test their missile and we should take immediate action.  Ashton B. Carter and former Defense Secretary William J. Perry list the reasons why.

Democrats are so sure they're going to be swept to power in the mid-term elections this fall, but is their celebrating a bit premature?  Victor Davis Hanson says the Democrats aren't going to win...and he tells us why.

John Murtha is back in the headlines, but as Robert Novak reports, he may be embarrassing the Democratic leadership this time.  And once that happens, the Democrats will dump Murtha faster than you can say 'Cindy Sheehan.'

Ann Coulter says her new book 'Godless' has liberals so up in arms, they're calling for a book burning.  She recently made headlines for comments about John Murtha and of course, some of the 9/11 wives.  But she's not pulling back.

And now it's time for the Professor Mike Adams summer reading list.  In addition to the leftist drivel your school may be forcing upon your children, you can add these titles to child's summertime book shelf.

The FairTax Book shows up in a Grin & Bear It cartoon!
