DISSENSION CANNOT BE TOLERATED
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (the NOAA) is best known as the government agency that runs
the National Weather Service and forecasts the weather. In addition to
that, the NOAA charts and observes changes in the Earth's environment. Then
there's also the NHC...the National Hurricane Center. These folks are the
ones that go on TV and tell us about hurricanes whenever one is bearing
down.
Have you heard? Al Gore has a film out there called "An Inconvenient
Truth." This film says that Hurricane Katrina was the fault of global
warming .. and that global warming will cause more hurricanes like Katrina.
So what do these two bits of information have to do with each other? Well
it seems that
some of the top names in the science of hurricanes don't
exactly agree with Al Gore's film. That, neighbors, cannot be tolerated.
Chris Landsea is the science and operations officer at the NHC. He says
that the Atlantic Basin, where hurricanes are born, is experiencing a
natural 25 to 40 year cycle in hurricane intensity. Landsea says that there
has "been no change in the number and intensity of Category 4 or 5
hurricanes around the world in the last 15 years."
This, my friends, is blasphemy to the religion of environmentalism.
After the big hurricane season we had last year...Katrina, Rita and so on,
how dare the leaders of these agencies came right out and say the hurricanes
were part of the Earth's natural cycle?
This is not setting well with the eco-radicals. They believe that there
is one and only cause of these strong hurricanes, and that cause is, of
course, global warming. They also believe that there is one and only one
cause of global warming, and that cause is man in general, and the United
States in particular.
In order to "protest" the statements of the NOAA and the NHC, the global
warming nut jobs are
staging a 37-hour protest at the offices of the NOAA in
Silver Spring, Maryland today. They're demanding that the weather services
stop covering up the link between global warming and hurricanes. And, of
course, they're demanding resignations! Demanding resignations, you see, is
the sport of the left. Rather than paying some monetary dues to be part of
the anti-rational left, you simply demand someone's resignation. Find
someone who expresses an opinion with which you do not agree ... and demand
their resignation! Bingo! You're in the club!
If you want to get along remember these so-called facts:
- Hurricanes are stronger than they have ever been.
- Hurricanes are stronger because of one thing. Global warming.
- You have no right to deny the existence of global warming.
- You have no right to deny the "fact" that global warming is caused
by man, and only by man.
- You have no right to point out that the sun is actually in a cycle
during which it is hotter.
- The sun has nothing to do with global warming.
There ... got it? Now you can go in peace, be ignorant and multiply.
HILLARY ANNOUNCES RE-ELECTION
New York Senator Hillary Clinton has announced
she is running for
re-election to the U.S. Senate from New York. She made the announcement
yesterday at the state Democratic convention in Buffalo. This was fully
expected.
But the people of New York still have time to make another choice. After
all, the election is 5 months away. Why would they elect to send Hillary
Clinton back to the Senate, when she only intends to represent them for an
additional 2 years? Actually, with as much time she'll be spending running
for president and fundraising in 2007 and 2008, it's more like about a
year.
In fact, New York was never more than a stepping stone for The Hildabeast.
Her goal all along was to become president of the United States...she just
needed some experience in elected office. Basically just a place to park
her political ambitions until the time was right to go for the ultimate
prize. But there is still time to avoid making the same mistake twice.
When the inevitable question gets asked in this campaign over and
over....does she intend to serve out her full term...it will be interesting
to see how she answers. Will she lie, saying she intends to serve the full 6
years for the people of New York, or will she tell the truth? My guess is
that she'll try to give the impression that she is only interested in
serving the people of New York in the Senate. Later .. be on the alert for
one of her phony "listening tours." Interesting times are ahead.
HARRY REID BOBS AND WEAVES
Well...the other day Harry Reid was saying there was nothing wrong with his
accepting free tickets to boxing matches in Vegas while pushing federal
regulation of the sport. But yesterday, he did a complete 180. His office
issued a statement: "In light of questions that have been raised about the
practice, Senator Reid will not accept these kinds of credentials in the
future in order to avoid even the faintest appearance of impropriety." So
much for that.
But the statement insinuates that the free tickets only showed a faint
appearance of impropriety. What if a Republican Congressman had accepted
free sports tickets from an oil company, while at the same time pushing
legislation regulating that industry? Harry Reid would be right there.
jumping up and down...demanding his resignation. But not when it comes to
his own "gifts."
What's interesting is that the media really did their job on this issue.
They put his feet to the fire...which is unusual when it comes to wrongdoing
and Democrats. Now if they would do the same about his connections to Jack
Abramoff, perhaps they'd finally prove they aren't biased when it comes to
ethics and members of Congress. You did know that Harry Reid met with
Abramoff clients and accepted thousands in campaign cash, don't you?
Still...not bad. Maybe this is the start of a new trend...equal treatment
for all politicians by the mainstream media. We can dream, can't we?

Here's a statistic. I want you to tell me what this means for the
future of America. Forty-seven percent of American men without a

fathered a child. Only 6% of college graduates have fathered a child. Real
promising for the future of our country, isn't it?
The feds have shifted some

dare they! Don't they realize that only NYC and DC are legitimate terrorist
