THE FACE OF ISLAMIC TERROR
The Brits continue to
unravel the second unsuccessful terrorist plot to blow up more trains and
buses.
More arrests have been made, including the arrest of the Islamic goon
responsible for at least one failed attempt. Also, ABC News is reporting that
the plot for the July 7 bombings may have been larger, after 16 unexploded
devices were found in one of the attacker's trunks. Imagine if 16 more bombs had
gone off in the name of Allah. Yikes. Islam! What a wonderful religion!
And just what made up
these delightful little bombs? They were homemade using common household
products like peroxide. Some of them contained nails for shrapnel. Why nails?
That's so that when the bomb explodes, the nails go with it, killing more people
and expanding the device's reach. It's not enough to blow up the train or
bus...these Islamic killers want more blood in the form of the shredding of
innocent people. Isn't it amazing that more people haven't converted to
this wonderful, peace-loving religion?
In finding this car so
quickly after the 7/7 bombings, the London cops seem to have stopped a second
wave of attacks. This is the take-no-prisoners style of anti-terrorism policing
the entire world could learn from. There's no appeasement going on in Britain
these days, that's for sure.
How hard would it be for
some America-hating jihadist in your neighborhood to cook up one of these bombs,
fill it with nails, stick it in a knapsack and head for the nearest bus? Sadly,
not very. In fact, I believe it's certain to happen. That's why we are
engaged in World War IV, the War on Terror. ----- Or as the Bush Administration
likes to call it these days "the fight against Islamic extremism."

THE
NEW NAME FOR THE WAR ON TERROR
I just mentioned it.
The Bush Administration is
now calling the war on terror the "fight against
Islamic extremism." At first I was bothered by this change ... I thought
it might be pandering to the BBC and other leftist outlets that don't like the
"e" word. I've changed my mind. The new title at least identifies
the enemy as Islamic. Even though I've tried to include the "Islamic" word
with the "terrorist" word on this website and on the air .. .the media generally
doesn't follow that formula. Let's never stop identifying the enemy for
who and what they are .. and who and what they are is ISLAMIC.
By the way ... when are
we going to start the profiling?
AMERICA STUCK IN IRAQ?
The clueless media has a
new poll out today about Iraq. This one comes to us from USA Today/CNN and
Gallup. The poll says Americans don't believe the U.S. will win the war in Iraq
or establish a stable Democracy there. Unfortunately, this poll demonstrates
one thing: the brainwashing propaganda from the Democrats and from the left
seems to be working.
What a wonderful
comfort this must be to the Islamic terrorists of the world. Surely the
word will reach Saddam .. and bring about another big grin.
This may come as a bit of
a surprise to some, but the United States has already won the war in Iraq, and
we have already established a stable Democracy there...all in record time and
with very low casualties. By any measure of modern warfare, the invasion and
occupation of Iraq has been a resounding success. Yet, for some reason, people
are choosing to believe the Bush-bashing doom and gloom scenarios reported on
the evening news. I guess we have government schools to thank for that lack of
critical thinking on the part of the masses.
There is one bright spot
in the poll....it finds that people don't believe sending troops to Iraq was a
mistake. So let me get this straight...the war was a failure, we can't
win...but sending the troops wasn't a mistake. Right. Oh, and to get an idea of
just how slanted this poll is against the Bush administration, get a load of
this question: "Do you think the Bush administration deliberately misled the
American public about whether Iraq has weapons of mass destruction?"
Fifty-one percent said yes. That's too bad. By the way, did you know weapons
of mass destruction were found in Iraq?
TO MY LISTENERS IN CHATTANOOGA
What's up with WGOW? Sorry, don't know. To the
hundreds of listeners who have emailed me .. and the the people who have been
writing letters to the editor and to Chattanoogan.com ... Sorry, I just can't
explain it. My ratings outperformed the entire radio station.
Evidently I've done or said something that really got under the skin of WGOW
management. That's happened before .. but listener outrage and complaints
usually cause a change of heart. We're constantly adding stations
across the country, and the latest ratings have us going up while other talk
show hosts are going down ... but you just can't explain the actions of some
programmers. Well ... there's always Internet streaming.
YOU GOTTA LOVE THIS!
Just a quick note to you sad, pathetic drug addicts out
there ... you weed fiends --- you cigarette smokers. Beginning this month
employees of the State of Georgia are
paying $40 a month extra for their health
insurance plan for government employees. This includes all state workers,
including family members, and their family members. Good! These
pathetic smokers increase the cost of health insurance for everyone else.
It's only right that they should pay more to cover the costs of their mindless
and disgusting habit. One employee was heard to complain that single
mothers have decided to drop health insurance rather than pay the surcharge.
Isn't that just great! They would rather drop health insurance that covers
their children than quit smoking. Do you really need any further evidence
of the intellectual failings of smokers? More at badvertising.com
THE ARISTOCRATS JOKE
There's a movie coming out this summer named "The
Aristocrats." [trailer] The entire movie is apparently about one joke that comics
like to tell each other. It's describes as absolutely horrific ... a joke
that will undoubtedly offend the vast majority of people who have heard it.
OK ... so what's the joke? I'm not sure ... but may I be so bold as to proffer a
guess here before the movie comes out? OK ... I'm not going to tell it
here. But it may be that certain joke I heard years ago ... and have only
repeated on rare occasions, and never on the air. Let's just say it
involves a few individuals sitting in a hot tub. So ... let's see if I'm
right.
Update: OK .. I was wrong. It's about It's
about hamsters. OK ... never mind. It's about a bicycle. Oh well ..
whatever. It isn't funny.
HEATHER'S CORNER
Some musings from our intern Heather Jackson
Love for
the National Aeronautics and Space Administration
Many people
think the
space program is a waste of
time and money. I would venture to say that most of those people have never
lived in Central Florida and witnessed a shuttle launch or heard (and felt) the
sonic boom of a shuttle re-entering Earth's atmosphere. It makes you feel very
miniscule and insignificant, but in a good way. Almost like standing on the
beach and looking over the ocean and then realizing how much more is out there
that you will never be able to fully explore.
If you need more help to boost your interest, google 'contrails,' they can be
colored like a
rainbow or
cast a shadow.
I have been
fortunate enough to witness nearly all the launches that have taken place in my
26 years. I was in the 2nd grade when I watched in horror as the
Challenger exploded shortly
after take off. I waited for
Columbia
with nervous anticipation until the sky made horrible static sounds. I have seen
morning and night launches, and especially loved the dusk launches. As the sun
is setting the trailing cloud makes the most miraculous rainbow you will ever
see. Since Discovery's launch, NASA has grounded the space program due to pieces
of insulation that fell off the shuttle. I'm not sure how you ground something
when they just shipped several people off to space. It seems to me that their
persistence to send the shuttle to the ISS
may have been rushed.
We won the
space race and
ending exploration anytime soon
only allows for more mishaps, but made by other countries. Our astronauts are
the best trained in the world. They express the greatest intensions known to
mankind. Though this is one area where the world can come together for the
greatness of mankind, no matter what nationality, we have a better prepared and
more active space program than any other country.
I will,
however, say that sending seventy-some-odd congress men and women to watch the
launch last week (which was scrubbed) costing over seventy thousand dollars, was
as frivolous as it gets. Forty-four returned to try to watch the launch again;
this time with success.

READING ASSIGNMENTS
First up today ...
this
column from our friend Mike Adams at the University of North Carolina,
Wilmington. The column is about a family of left-wing loonies who "thought
that anti-American rhetoric was free speech while criticism of anti-American
rhetoric was libel." Read this, and then pray that your kid gets a college
professor like Mike Adams when they get to college.
Ted Kennedy .. hypocrite
Some common
sense on the issue of drilling for oil offshore .. especially off the Gulf
coast of Florida.
Ann Coulter continues to not be impressed by John Roberts...she
thinks he just may be another liberal -- much like David Souter. I
suspect that with Coulter it's all about abortion.
Documents produced by the
White House
involving Supreme Court nominee John Roberts reveal...surprise...he's
actually a conservative! Imagine that.
Hillary's continued drift to the right is starting to have consequences....leftists
are blasting her new stances on a number of issues. That's no way to shore up
the base before running for president. It's all part of the triangulation
effort .. .brilliant politics that is going to propel this menace into the White
House.
Does the entire world
hate us?
Max Boot says hatred of the United States is waning in the Muslim world.
Could it be that George Bush's policies have actually worked? Imagine that!
You heard me discussing this article on the air yesterday.
Liberal Democrat and
former Mayor of New York
Ed Koch says the Patriot Act is imperfect, but is desperately needed during
wartime. He's
probably one of the few that has actually read the legislation.
Dick Morris says that
President Bush has masterfully pushed aside the Democrats in one of his most
brilliant moves of his presidency, the nomination of John Roberts to the Supreme
Court.
The AFL-CIO is in ruins
because of one man, its leader, John Sweeney.
Robert Novak says this has been a long time coming.
The Associated Press
reported that British Prime Minister Tony Blair said the answer to ending
terrorism was to solve the Palestinian-Israeli problem.
As Larry Elder reports, the only problem is he never said it.
Oops. Well .. typical for the left.
Local governments
continue to abuse eminent domain and take property away from landowners.
Debra Saunders highlights one such case in Oakland, California.
The Federalist Society
has been getting a lot of attention lately...but what exactly is it?
Emmett Tyrrell, a longstanding member, explains.
