THE BLACK CONGRESSIONAL CAUCUS AND HAITI

Now we have U.S. Marines on the ground in Haiti.  To be perfectly blunt, I don't believe that Haiti is worth the life of one single American Marine.  That dog-squeeze of a country needs to be colonized.

Here's an idea ... Let's tell the United Nations that their lease on the East River property is up ... and that their new home is Haiti.  The Roman Catholic Church has the Vatican .. it's own sovereign nation.  Let's give the UN Haiti.  It's all theirs.  Have a blast.

You do notice, of course, that Charles Rangel, Maxine Waters and the rest of the Congressional Black Caucus have their stretch pants in a wad over what's goin' down in Haiti.  The caucus almost unanimously agreed that American troops needed to go in there, sooner rather than later, and set things right.

Interesting, isn't it.  The members of the Congressional Black Caucus are just as opposed to using military force to liberate Iraq from Saddam Hussein as they are to use our armed forces to save Aristide's corrupt posterior.  Surely you don't wonder why.  One word ... race.  Haiti is a black nation ... and that is all the excuse the caucus needs to send our troops in.   Just call it what it is.

The latest?  Now Aristide is saying that the U.S. Military forced him out .. and, once again, it was because of race.  As Aristide puts it ... "white American, white military."  Maybe Aristide is upset because he didn't get to take all of his money with him.  Here is a man who was a Catholic Priest ... vow of poverty and all that.  He becomes politically active, is elected president of Haiti, and ends up being the richest man in Haiti.  How do you do that?

Who are you going to believe? George Bush and Colin Powell, or former Haitian dictator Jean Bertrand-Aristide? That's right, former dictator. The Democrats are running around calling Aristide the "democratically elected leader" of Haiti. Of course, this isn't true...the elections in 2000 that put him in office have long been denounced by many as fraudulent and rigged.  So why is it then that the Congressional Black Caucus held a press conference yesterday blasting the administration for "kidnapping" Aristide? Why politics, of course.

Aristide is only alive because the United States provided him safe passage into exile.  He is now calling everyone who will listen to spread lies about how he got there. From Jesse Jackson to the Congressional Black Caucus, he's really working the lines from his new home in the Central African Republic.  His version of events go like this: he was sitting in his Presidential palace minding his own business when the "white military" knocked down the door, forced him to sign his resignation at gunpoint, and then threatened to shoot him if he didn't come with them to the airport. Yeah right...dry that one out and you could fertilize the lawn.

The truth is much different. According to Secretary Powell, Aristide called a US Ambassador on Saturday and decided that resigning was the best course of action. The U.S. then leased a jet and worked the phones to find a nation that would take him in exile. Aristide was escorted by his personal security detail to the airport, where he flew out the country. Even the communications minister for the Central African Republic where Aristide was taken says that the kidnapping claim is "absolutely false."

The solution?  A listener suggests that the U.S. Military simply go over there to Africa, scoop Aristide up, and then deposit him right in the middle of the Haitian Capital.  There ... all fixed up.

KERRY PLANS TO END WAR ON TERROR

We have told you over and over again that John Kerry thinks that  terrorism is a law enforcement problem. Well, just wait until you hear what he would do with the war on terror if he is elected president. This man is absolutely frightening.

Rather than continue the policy of destroying terrorists and the nations that harbor them, Kerry has said he would abandon the President's war on terror, begin a dialogue with terrorist regimes and apologize for the actions of the Bush administration. This is why this man must not be elected president, ever. In a speech to Council on Foreign Relations, Kerry called the war on terror "the most arrogant, inept, reckless,  and ideological foreign policy in modern history." Apparently he would rather return us to the do-nothing appeasement of terrorists that was the policy under Bill Clinton.  Remember, Osama Bin Laden was offered to the United States on a silver platter and the Clinton administration said no. What would John Kerry do to prevent another 9/11?

For example, Iran is known to be harboring top Al-Qaeda operatives. According to an Iranian dissident, the hard-line clerics in Iran fear George Bush, but are rooting for John Kerry.

If you are actually bright enough to understand that Islamic Jihadists have vowed to do everything they can to destroy all in the world that is not Muslim ... and that includes America ... and have promised to kill as many Americans as they can, wherever they can find them, then you are bright enough to understand what is at stake in November.

Here is the election in a nutshell:

Islamic terrorists have pledged to see you dead, and your country destroyed.  Who do you want to put in charge of making sure this doesn't happen?

(A) A man who wants to send the FBI and other law enforcement agencies out there to find these terrorists, and then turn them over to an international court to be tried; or,

(B) A man who wants to send the U.S. military to search for these terrorists and to kill them before they kill us.

It's as simple as that.

UNITED NATIONS: IRAQ HAD NO WMD AFTER 1994

A report is going to be released by the United Nations today that will say that there were no weapons of mass destruction of any significance in Iraq after 1994. OK .... since we know beforehand that this is certainly going to be used by the pro-Saddam left against George Bush, let's look at the facts.

If Iraq had no WMD after 1994, then what were they hiding? Every time inspectors would come around, it was known from satellite photos that the Iraqis were moving cargo and vehicles whenever the inspectors would come around. Then, Saddam Hussein kicked out the inspectors in 1998. If he had no banned weapons, then what was he hiding?  Why was he trying to keep the inspectors out of certain areas?  Can't you just hear Saddam speaking to his inner circle?  "If we allow these inspections to continue they're going to find out that we don't have any prohibited weapons, so we must stop the inspections immediately."  Yeah ... that makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

If Saddam Hussein had no weapons of mass destruction after 1994, he simply could have thrown open the doors to every facility in Iraq and allowed the inspectors to complete their work, and eventually the sanctions would have been lifted.  If Saddam had complied with the UN resolutions, he would still be in office. Whether or not Iraq had any weapons of mass destruction and when they had them means nothing at this point.

It is absolutely astounding that the United Nations, the liberals and their buddies in the media refuse to believe Iraqis are better off without the mass graves and rape rooms of Saddam Hussein.

KERRY'S MEDICAL RECORDS

Bill Clinton always refused to release his medical records.  Speculation?  Lots of it.  But to this day we have no clue just why Clinton feared public scrutiny of his records.

George Bush?  He recently made his medical records pertaining to that period of time during which he was serving in the Texas Air National Guard public.  All of them.

John Kerry?  Will he release his medical records for that period of time he served in Vietnam?  Answer:  No, he won't.  And why not?  We don't know ... but I have a hunch.

Kerry has been making a mega-huge deal out of his service in Vietnam, and his three Purple Hearts.  If you are adept at crusing the Internet you will find no dearth of articles about Kerry's Vietnam service and those three wounds.  Some call Kerry's commendations "Band-Aid Purple Hearts."  The definition is clear.  Get a slight scratch -- apply a Band-aid -- receive your purple heart.

Is it possible that Kerry is afraid for the public to find out that he was receiving Purple Hearts for wounds that most Vietnam GIs wouldn't have even reported to their superiors?

Just speculation ... until we see the records.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Thomas Sowell addresses the gay marriage issue.

You have probably heard that President Bush is trying to eliminate overtime pay for working Americans.  By now your instincts should have told you that this isn't exactly the truth.  Well, your instincts are correct.  Here is the true story.

And just who is the February "Porker of the Month" in the congress?  Hint ... it's a Republican.

Do you have a child (young adult?) attending the University of North Carolina at Greensboro?  If so, you may want to read this article.  It could explain why your daughter has so much trouble sitting still when she visits home.

It is my belief that the Marcus Dixon case is a tragic disaster ... brought on by a young white high school student fearing the consequences if her father found out that she had sex with a black high school athlete.  Last night they held a rally in Atlanta for Marcus Dixon.

Ahhhh ... the marvelous ways that politicians can find to waste taxpayer's money.

A recent survey shows that George W. Bush leads John Kerry slightly in Florida. What will decide this pivotal state in 2004? Matt Towery looks at the turnout.

Jack Kemp says cutting Social Security benefits is not the answer to making the program solvent, privatization is. Good idea, and a good column.

Rich Lowry calls Jean-Bertrand Aristide the left's favorite thug. It's an interesting history lesson Haiti, beginning with the Aristide being installed by the Clinton administration.

Doug Bandow writes that the United States has no economic or security interest in Haiti, which has been a failed state for 200 years.

So much for full disclosure: John Kerry is refusing to release his full medical file from the Vietnam era, something President Bush did in 2000.

Andrew Sullivan, writing in Time magazine, says that a wartime leader's success can be his downfall. After all, it happened to Winston Churchill.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger says he would accept gay marriages if it had been approved by the voters or the courts. Imagine that...someone in California who cares what the law says.

Is 5.6% unemployment high or low? Well, according to CNN, it depends who is president. Looks like the Clinton News Network has some explaining to do.

Some protestors dressed up as a tiger and an elephant were protesting outside a circus in Nashville. The only problem? There weren't any animals in the circus inside. What a bunch of idiots.

AND NOW ... FOR MY GENERAL AVIATION PALS

Below is a picture of the MX20 display in my Mooney on a recent trip from Florida to Atlanta.  The weather display comes from a WSI InFlight satellite broadcast system.  Last year I had to turn back once, and cancel other flights because of weather.  This system gives you a higher capability to plan your flights around the weather.  The image is never over 5 minutes old and is streamed continuously.
