"When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that justifies it."
... it was do-or-die day. We rented the condo, and the new tenant is moving in today .. so yesterday was the day we HAD to get all our stuff out. OMG! You can't believe how much stuff there is! Who needs all that crap! Anyway, if I had abandoned the Queen to do the show yesterday the domestic intranquility would have reached Condition Red. I love you folks ... really do ... but we didn't close the door until 9 last night.
I'm so beat up today .... Should make for an interesting show.
By the way ... I'm homeless in Atlanta. New place not ready for three months. But ... Winter ain't exactly a bad time to spend in Naples.
Oh ... and how's this for cool. Stayed at St. Regis Atlanta last night. Do you know they have televisions hidden behind the mirrors in the bathroom? There I was standing nekkid in front of the mirror in front of Gretchen Carlson. That would explain the shocked look on her face ... a look which quickly transformed into one of lust and longing.
The Democrats in the Senate managed to release their healthcare bill, topping out at 2,074 pages. Should be easy, quick reading ... considering the fact that Harry Reid wants to open up debate on the bill tomorrow. Yes tomorrow, as in Saturday.
Here are a few notes on this bill.
The Democrats have decided to re-label the bill the "Community Health Insurance Option." The latest focus group must have signaled that people like it when politicians talk about "communities." (People also love the word "security" ... but that's a different rant). The people also like the idea of having "options." Interesting, considering this bill would eventually lead to less options and more government.
Harry Reid and the Democrats have managed to Barack Obama in quite a pickle. Obama has pledged that he will not raise taxes on anyone earning more than $200,000 a year. That was a lie when The Chosen One first uttered it ... and it's a lie today. And t the lie continues ... In order to pay for their healthcare dreams and schemes, Harry Reid's community plan would include raising taxes on individuals making more than $200,000 a year. In other words .. let's tax the achievers to pay for a government redistribution scheme of healthcare resources.
And one other point ... for all you ladies (or men) thinking of giving the girls a facelift or the schnauz a new do, the bill calls for a 5% tax on elective plastic surgery.
Bottom line .. more government, more taxes on the achievers, less freedom. That's the Democrat Party way. That's the change you voted for ... right?

Considering the move of KSM to New York City for a civilian trial, lawmakers in Washington are heading down a slippery slope in terms of who should be afforded Constitutional rights. For example ... Nancy Pelosi was asked whether Osama bin Laden, when he is captured, should be told that he has the right to remain silent and be given a lawyer.
Nancy's response: "Well, let's see, how many years has it been? Nine, eight years. Let's worry about capturing Bin Laden and not worry about your, your question."
That one is up there with her answer to the question of whether or not an individual healthcare mandate was Constitutional, and she replied, "Are you serious? Are you serious?"
ONLY San Francisco could put someone like that into our congress.
Washed-up race warlord and pimp Jesse Jackson managed to turn the healthcare debate into a matter of race. Here's how it happened. There is one member of the Congressional Black Caucus that voted against the House healthcare bill, and that was Alabama Democrat Rep. Arthur Davis.
While not referring to his specifically by name, at a reception the other night Jesse Jackson commented, "We even have blacks voting against the healthcare bill ... You can't vote against healthcare and call yourself a black man."
Hey, Jessie! Wassamatta U? Run out of corporations to blackmale, you race pimp? Well .. here's an idea! Why don't you run for President! Yeah .. put yourself up there with someone like Obama. At least Obama has class.
Nancy Pelosi says that any tax on Wall Street transactions would have to be applied internationally, not just within the US because that would drive companies overseas.
