No racial bias here, this is a matter of national (and personal) security! Here's a birthday present for you Mr. President: The president needs to issue an emergency executive order closing all borders for ALL immigration for citizens of ALL countries now! We can no longer afford to take in the world's hungry and wretched, not when we can't provide for all our own citizens. Because of the federal neglect of this issue for so long, we have an emergency situation on our hands trying to sort out who's a terrorist, a murderer, a drug cartel soldier, or just a plain illegal alien looking for work. It would cost a lot less to just close the borders. If the feds won't do it, the states need to step in and do it themselves. Kudos to AZ! I realize America was built on immigration and sure enough, my own family were immigrants, but this is 2010, times have changed. We don't need any further immigrant expansion in the USA today. With no end in sight to our sagging economy, we can't even keep our own citizens fully employed. I don't know about you but I'm a hard working self-employed "Steve the Telephone Man". I can't afford health insurance because business is so slow - Would I hire more employees? What a joke! The illegal’s already in the US need to be deported, the employers turning a blind eye need to be arrested. The government needs to get serious about our country's security. I am seriously voting in November!
How Can You So Misunderstand the Issue So Badly?
Race is not the issue. There are illegal immigrants of many races and backgrounds so if you think this is just about hating Mexicans, you are a moron.
The issue is undocumented citizens using our public services and amenities without having to pay income taxes to pay for them. And yes, when there are millions and millions of illegals sending American money out of the country during maybe the USA's worst economic recession in history, it's a problem.
The only way you can NOT see a problem with that is if you ARE an illegal resident, in which case your opinion on the subject doesn't matter. We don't ask convicted murderers or sex offenders their opinions on the laws they broke, so why should illegal immigrants have any say? THEY DON'T. Stop confusing yourselves by thinking this is an issue of racism and morals. It's not. It's an issue of economics and of our judicial system.
You can say only rednecks say this or whatever other racial stereotype you want to make, but it is simple truth that if all the jobs held by illegal immigrants were held by tax paying citizens OF ANY RACE BE IT MEXICAN OR BLACK OR WHITE OR ASIAN OR ANY OTHER RACE, then maybe those millions more taxpaying citizens would make a difference in our economic struggle and we wouldn't be in this recession. All I ask is that they take the test, prove they love America and are not just using it for their own financial gain (at the cost of our country's financial ruin), be an honest LAW ABIDING citizen, and I welcome any newcomer to the United States.

Going to one of those countries that the illegal aliens come from. Doesn't have to be Mexico, lots more countries involved, Britain for example. Upon arrival, once you have sneaked across the border, demand that the local and national governments provide you with: food, clothing, subsidized shelter, health care, education and employment. Demand your right to wave your own national flag and protest if they will not provide it. Demand your right to stay in their country whether they want you to leave or not. Demand political representation and redress if they fail to provide as much as you think you deserve. Do all of these things then get back to us and tell us how it went.
After they release you from prison, and assuming they let you live long enough.

Ok, let's give the land back to the "rightful owners". As it has been true throughout human history, people have migrated to, encroached upon, or conquered the existing "owners" of ALL lands the question becomes: WHO do we give it TO? No one can prove ancestral ownership, as it is very likely those same ancestors pushed others out first.
If you feel so strongly that land should be "given back", find some "deserving" person that tells you you are living on their ancestral land. Then, give him the keys to your home and walk away. If you are, of course unwilling to do this, kindly reinsert your head up your arse so we will not have to hear you further.

My Great Grandfather And Great Grandmother fled Poland and Russia because of religious persecution. They both followed the legal steps to become AMERICAN Citizens. Neither One spoke English between the 8 languages they already knew but they learned and eventually thrived due to this great country's once great opportunities. BTW. They didn't send all of their hard earned money out of this country, they used it to start small businesses. Jerk.
