WHAT DOES THE FT. HOOD SHOOTER HAVE TO DO WITH 9/11?

We are uncovering more pieces of the puzzle.  Last week I caught hell from my listeners for daring to mention that the man who killed 13 soldiers at Ft. Hood is a Muslim.  Did his religion ... his peaceful, serene religion ... have anything to do with his actions?  Well a report from London found something very interesting.

Nidal Malik Hasan worshipped at a mosque that was led by radical imam who turned out to be a "spiritual advisor" to three hijackers of 9/11.  According to the report, Hasan attended a mosque in Great Falls, Virginia in 2001 at the same time as two of the 9/11 terrorists.  The imam is a man named Anwar al-Awlaki.  He is known for, among other things, supporting attacks on British troops and backing terrorist organizations.

Here are more of the details:

As investigators look at Hasan's motives and mindset, his attendance at the mosque could be an important piece of the jigsaw. Al-Awlaki moved to Dar al-Hijrah as imam in January, 2001, from the west coast, and three months later the September 11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hamzi and Hani Hanjour began attending his services. A third hijacker attended his services in California.

Hasan was praying at Dar al-Hijrah at about the same time, and the FBI will now want to investigate whether he met the two terrorists.

Charles Allen, a former under-secretary for intelligence at the Department of Homeland Security, has described al-Awlaki, who now lives in Yemen, as an "al-Qaeda supporter, and former spiritual leader to three of the September 11 hijackers... who targets US Muslims with radical online lectures encouraging terrorist attacks from his new home in Yemen".

OK ... excuse me, but I have a question.  Here we have this Army Major - a Muslim - a Muslim who apparently posted some rather radical and violent messages on the Internet.  Now we learn that he very well have attended this radical Mosque in Virginia.  All of this ... and he's still in a position to purchase handguns and murder 13 Americans at Ft. Hood?  Where in the hell were our intelligence forces while all of this was going on?  Do we have another incidence here of various intelligence agencies keeping tabs on parts of this Muslim goon's life, but not communicating with each other?

Investigate Hasan?  Fine ... do it.  Perform an autopsy on his, as far as I'm concerned, before he dies.  Fly Dr. G to Texas with her bolt cutters.  But while we're at it let's investigate the investigators to see what they were doing while this Islamic goon was plotting murder.  I don't know any of the people killed yet I'm just mad as hell over this.  I can't imagine how I would feel if I was a friend or a member of a family involved.

Yeah, get back to us when you find the part of the Bible that instructs Christians to kill the infidels.
  • @Roger
Roger, I find it incredible that these Muslims commit dastardly, horrific acts of violence, slaughtering innocent people -- then THEY worry about suffering repercussions from it.

Wake up America! WE are the ones suffering the anti-American backlash! FIGHT BACK!

  • @Lysander Spooner
That's like saying Nazism was incompatible with America, so we should have pulled out of Europe during World War II. It doesn't make any sense.

All these people who say we should never have been trying to influence societies in the Middle East in the first place, really gripe my cookies. "They just wanted to be left alone!" Yeah, left alone to freely massacre millions of innocent people, force women to submit to rape or face death, and slaughter 'infidels' for no reason other than that the victim wouldn't convert to Islam. "Why couldn't we just leave them ALONNNNE????" Reminds me of that Britney whiner on YouTube.

If we'd left them alone, they would have completed their genocide, moved on to take over the entire Middle East, solidified their power, gotten their hands on nukes, and then come after Europe and the U.S. "Leaving them alone" was not a smart or sane option.

The Officers who were in charge of this man now have blood on their hands. It seems as if they were being politicaly correct at the expense of those who served under them

"Young men are taught that they will never find happiness on Earth, they can't look at women, and they can't drink booze. They're taught that once they die in violent-asz jihad, they'll go to paradise where 72 virgins will screw them for eternity."

You know, I've been to church once or twice in my life too and the parallels about what is promised by Islam and Christianity is strikingly similar (eternal life BS - something we all have already btw), the primary difference is that there are no virgins promised to be in heaven (because they are all forgiven is my bet).

Seems to me that Islam has a better deal going than Christianity. I'd bet that there are PLENTY of gullible Christians out there who would bomb abortion clinics if they were promised only 32 virgins....but I digress...
  • @ By He's a MMMMMMMMUSLIM, baby! @ 11/09/09 11:46:21 AM
"Non-Muslims cannot rationally trust Muslims. Period."

That's the same way I feel about ANY member of organized religion. Yea, Christians included.
  • Remember Dr. Tiller?
Do you remember the abortion doctor that was killed while attending his church by some anti-choice "Christian" lunatic? Do you remember when the Right demanded that this case not be politicized, that it shouldn't be used to score cheap shots on the abortion debate, to think of the victim's grieving family and not use them for political purposes?

Does anyone remember when a guard for a Holocaust museum was shot and killed by a white supremacist who was also a Birther, complaining that Obama's birth certificate and other documents have not been made public?

    Does anyone remember Timothy McVeigh?

It would be profoundly wrong to take these heinous crimes and condemn entire movements that are either loosely or closely associated to these criminals. To take what happened at Fort Hood to be proof that the entire religion of Islam should be outlawed or prohibit Muslims from serving in the military is un-American as well as hypocritical.

I know these words will fall on deaf ears belonging to those who steadfastly believe that the US is and should be conducting a crusade against Islam, whether actively violent against the US or not. I do not speak for their sake but for the sake of those who would listen and reason. This country's true enemy is the one who believes without thought and who judges without mercy.

I hope Hasan gets exactly what he deserves: a fair trial and, upon receiving a guilty conviction, a quick death.

God bless our soldiers and law enforcement who serve honorably and with dignity.
  • Good post Todd
But as the same time, I wonder if it is our right to ask someone entering our armed forces or converting after joining, are they going to have a problem if asked to fight. Considering their religious views are out there for all to read. I think in that case, that would be reasonable, not profiling. IF there were ever an Amish person wanting to join (has there ever?) I would expect the same questioning so I'm not just picking on Muslims, just any religion that might not view our military in a favorable light.

But this guy had issues and they knew some of what he was doing (but did nothing about) so I think it's fair to ask more questions.
  • Fort Hood killer
This guy is an alumni of Virginia Tech kinda makes you wonder what they are teaching up in Blacksburg.
  • If islam is incompatible with America...
...then doesn't that make the efforts in the middle east to westernize(some might say democratize or Americanize) them....worthless? What is America waiting for to withdraw troops from Iraq and Afghanistan if indeed we know that Islam is incompatible with America? Why are billions of dollars being spent over there pointlessly?

I fully agree that this country needs to immediately drop the PC BS...my question is...how? We have too many snarkys and not enough BNs.

    TODD.......well said and thought out....

the RIGHT I would want to take away from the stinkin' murderin' muslim is.....braething U.S. ARMY air he is still on the post......
  • Throw them all out
Just more evedince that we don't need Muslims serving in our military. We can do without their kind.
  • Hang 'im high
I truly hope that Hasan gets his military trial and is made an example of what happens to muslim extremists / terrorists / traitors that infiltrate our military and kill our American soldiers.

HANG 'EM HIGH FOR ALL TO SEE!!!!!

No apologies, no excuses. Anything less would be another mockery of this country and it's values.
  • cultural differences
Most people will write this off as a lunatic who just snapped, and they'd be partly correct in assuming that. However, you would have to use that same rationale for half of the Muslim world, considering they hang suicide bomber/martyr posters in their houses (like they're celebrities). The problem is that these cultists didn't just "snap". Their entire culture snapped around the 7th century, and it is now a way of life.

Young men are taught that they will never find happiness on Earth, they can't look at women, and they can't drink booze. They're taught that once they die in violent-asz jihad, they'll go to paradise where 72 virgins will screw them for eternity. What a head-f@#$ing that is!!

When some of them leave that culture, they're so completely f@#%ed up that they can't assimilate to any other culture....total outcasts. They go completely overboard...absolute deviancy.

My ex-girlfriend knew two guys from Lebanon, and being the devout Christian that she is, she thought it would be neighborly to invite them over for some dinner. Their personalities were dead ringers for Borat....freaking uncanny. Unbeknownst to us, they had taken it upon themselves to invite two cocaine sluts to her house. After dinner, they informed me, in front of my girlfriend, that I could lay on these women if I wanted. I was honored to be included in their cultural traditions, so I asked my girlfriend for her permission. Not only did I not get to lay on the sluts, but she wouldn't let me lay on her that night either.
  • relford criteria, service connected, UCMJ
This Major Hanan is done. I'm not a JAG but I seriously doubt there is any way that the ACLU or some other scum sucking liberal pansy organization can get this to go anywhere but a General Court Martial. I've got to wonder, the officer conducting the Article 32 investigation is going to need a good vacation when he gets done. If I had that job I'm sure I'd probably blow a gasket. FBI was looking at this guy first? Why would not CID be involved as well? Whatever happened to the spirit of cooperation???? How many more is the FBI looking at and just sitting on it because Holder doesn't want to offend a Muslim???? How may more people have to die for political correctness. My blood is already starting to boil.

This young man, either the rope or the bullet. Either way, he's toast and good for him.
  • If I or someone like me had done this horrible act
we'd immediately be labeled right wing extremists!

The president and all of his pals would be awful quick to jump to conclusions just like he did with the Cambridge police officer.

They would go through my computer and see that I spend a lot of time on here, Hannity's, Beck's, and Rush's sites along with Fox news, Drudge and they would try to use this to shut down talk radio and maybe even Fox news.

    What PC hypocrites!

  • @Lynn
Lynn, If he's tried under the UCMJ he'll face the death penalty as well. And he shouldn't be able to tie it up in apeals ad nauseum. He'd also be tried by a jury of soldiers who lost brothers and sisters in arms to this low-life, not a single civilian on the panel. Not to mention that if he is tried as a civilian, it would be a huge blow to the military's ability to maintain discipline through the UCMJ, regardless of the outcome, by setting a precedent that a soldier could get a civilian trial for violation of military law.
  • where are the leftists on this one
Where are the leftists like Brian Fantana, Hugo's Ghost, 3mbw and the like. According to them, Nidal Hasan "al-Mujahid" had according to the left a constitutional right to bear arms. What are the leftists going to do now? According to their logic (now leftist and logic is a true oxymoron), are they going to say that the military can't bear arms now?

As many posters have said along with I in an earlier post, if America doesn't wake up from its political correctness and smell the coffee, America will lose.

Probably not the right place for this. Sorry. Would like to address this but better leave this one to Neal.

  • Homeland Security? It ain't workin...
Boortz: "Do we have another incidence here of various intelligence agencies keeping tabs on parts of this Muslim goon's life, but not communicating with each other?"

Hey, I thought that was why the gummit created the Dept of Homeland Security... so that all the agencies could communicate with each other, sharing information.

And these are the same clowns that wanna run Healthcare?

  • Neal I hope you realize...
things don't quite add up. This whole 9/11 thing, two simultaneous wars (which Obama said he would end in the first months of his Presidency), the recession, the swine flu (which is now magically a National Emergency which basically means martial law can be declared at ANY time now), government run healthcare legislation(which the Insurance companies themselves wrote not JUST Libs), warrentless wiretaps, hate crimes legislation, global warming legislation, the Copenhagen Treaty, the Lisbon Treaty, the end of Posse Comitatus, hiring of RADICAL czars in high positions (which override Congress), governments around the globe working on dumping the US dollar, CCTV cameras going in all over the place to spy on the common American...etc etc. Neal cmon man. Please don't ignore these things. Please help protect American ideals. Do not fall victim to the false left vs right paradigm.
  • UCMJ vs FEDERAL LAW.........
LYNN..............pass to your children for me please....THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR NATION....from one veteran to another.........

now the UCMJ....Uniform Code of Military Justice for you civilians...is clear on the actions of a COURTS MARSHAL....the feds will have loopholes and smarmy lawyers will squworm around and this stinkin'murderin' muslim will get off and get promoted and receive a big bonus check for his "GOOD MUSLIM DEEDS"......

the UCMJ on the other hand will be a quick and speedy trial.....then he will get either a new hemp tie or a shiney bullet.......

ask you kids about the UCMJ they will tell you......the truth....
  • Keep your friends close and enemy closer?
  • Neal, you asked...
"Where in the hell were our intelligence forces while all of this was going on?"

The same place they were when Obama was paling around with radicals and putting Commnuists and Marxists into the White House lineup as Czars. How the hell this man was EVER cleared to serve as POTUS is beyond me.
  • Tried as a civilian
"My only hope is that he is tried as a civilian."

    Lynn,

My hope is that he tried under the UCMJ in a military courts marshal. If he is convicted of multiple counts of murder he should receive the death penalty. In the military when there is a capital case and conviction, the number of appeals is significantly reduced and the penalty phase is swiftly carried out. This is a member of the Armed Forces committing multiple crimes on a military reservation. I don't want any civilian intervention.
  • Oh Lynn!!
Got chills! Thank them and you for the sacrifices.

And Vic, I know what you are saying but unfortunately, when they go through medical school and graduate they automatically get the promotion. But they still knew he was iffy in the psyche dept!!!
  • Questioning that fruit cake in Ft.Hood?
Let's all remeber that now the "interrogation" will be handle from the white house..so other than "what's your favorite color?" expect no hard questions to this murderer...20 minutes with Jack Bauer this SOB would sing like a canary...the two of them in a sound proof room...
  • hate crime?
oh, but we are so much safer now that the hate crime bill passed - not! Of course, it's only a hate crime if you're a white, Christian heterosexual...
  • PC Kills
We have become such a pathetically and in this case deadly PC society.
I don’t know what the hell it’s going to take to wake this country up to the face the facts.
May God bless the victims and family members. It certainly appears this was a preventable tragedy.
It will be interesting to see how our New World Community organizer will mask over this blatant act of terrorism.
  • It's not bigoted to acknowledge danger.
Non-Muslims cannot rationally trust Muslims. Period. Read the Koran and the Hadith, watch the news, learn some history, and you'll understand. Islam is incompatible with America.
  • I know FOR A FACT...
that this guy had literally nothing to do with 9/11. That is just pure fear mongering. The information exists out there in public record that Osama bin Laden, Al Qaeda, and the Taliban were all working WITH and FOR the CIA for AT LEAST 2 years before and leading all the way up until the day of 9/11. That is FACT. Furthermore the terrorist Jundallah is an offshoot of Al Quaeda which the CIA and the White House admits they use to destabalize foreign Middle Eastern governments. People they are openly telling us. They know you won't do or say anything about it. They know that mainstream media will not report it. They know cause they control it. WAKE UP!
  • That's why we have "Homeland Security"
Boortz: "Do we have another incidence here of various intelligence agencies keeping tabs on parts of this Muslim goon's life, but not communicating with each other?"

I thought the whole reason for the creation of the "Department of Homeland Security" was to integrate the intel from the various agencies that are supposed to be the 'watchdogs'!

Another reason why a "crisis was not wasted" in creating another usless bureaucracy.

  • Fort Hood shooting
I dont have to jump to conclusions when the obvious conclusion jumps to me. In my humble opinion the Fort Hood shooting was an Islamist terrorist attack.
  • ya just gotta be careful...........
when the leader of a large cuntry is a stinkin' muslim.......ya can't judge the other stinkin' muslims too harshly.......or can you???????
  • Muslim officer
This is a result of all the PC (and I don't mean "personal computer") that's been rammed down our throats the past 10-20 years. Too many are afraid to offend, so they don't speak up when a potential problem is uncovered.
  • Hasan
I am much more interested in Hasan's connection to the DHS:

    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=115230

  • Religion of Peace
It has become very apparent that the "Religion of Peace" is more than religion. It transcends national boundaries and sovereignty, trumps political ideology and and unites otherwise warring neighbors.

I find it quite telling that if Catholics or Baptists or even Presbyterians, no matter how small the group was, the whole religion would be tagged as terrorists if they committed some of the atrocities in the name of Baptists.

Muslims live their lives governed and directed by religion. It seems that the MSM attributes these characteristics to the "religious right" and take any and all opportunities to degrade and ostracize them for their "radical" religious views. Can you imagine how long the Amish would last in this country if they decided to bomb something and called on all Amish everywhere to join in.

There is something deadly wrong with the direction this country is marching to. The MSM, in my view, shares the bulk of the responsibility for the downfall of this country. Instead of being the forth column keeping the government honest, they have decided to influence the political landscape to manipulate the outcome via PC.

The shooting at Ft,Hood could have been avoided if the military had used some common sense and removed this guy via courts marshal for treason( http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/treason?db=luna ). When you make public statements contrary to your sworn allegiance.
  • tax dollars spent well?
Hey at least the Korean border and the other hundreds of countries dependent on American tax dollars and 'aid' are being protected right? Never mind that politicians are trying to sell us a manufactured crisis called 'the war on terror' yet they REFUSE to address illegal aliens and their needed deportation. Why in God's name do we have soldiers stationed in countries that do not have the capacity to strike the American mainland and have never been a threat to America, yet this Hasan a-hole gets to walk around and shoot people? Some thing is VERY drastically wrong America.
  • I just wonder
Who will be offered up as the scapegoat.
  • Preaching to the Choir
Neal's preaching to the choir on this. Anyone other than a drug addled liberal knows that anyone, American citizen or not, that chooses to carry a Muslim name does not have the well being of America as their primary concern.
    9/11 taught us that.
And don't tell me that someone has to carry the name they were born with. Its too easy to legally change it.
  • Oath of Office
    Neal,
As a Gulf War veteran I swore to uphold the Constitution as well as to protect this Nation from enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC. Key word there, DOMESTIC. When will our elected officials and government employees (who have sworn this same oath) continue burying their heads to the threat that is Islam? It boggles the mind how PC (an idea espoused by Chairman Mao BTW)we've become. To those elected officials and government employees, take notice .... American citizens are close to being fed up with those who do not honor the oath. Defend this country from all enemies, BOTH FOREIGN AND DOMSETIC ... or get the hell out of the way so patriots can clean house.
  • Blame game?
When Bush was in office, the radicals would be all over it, and quick to blame Bush. So, would it be fair for us to start blaming Obama, or is it too early?

Regardless, of who's to blame, somebody dropped the ball on this, and if I was a family member of one of those who were killed, I would be HIGHLY PISSED right now at this news. I know it's still early in the investigation, and there's lots more to be uncovered, but this should not have been allowed to happen. I wouldn't be surprised to hear wrongful or negligent death lawsuits brought by the end of the week.
  • here is where it gets tough
I want this guy hanged by the neck until dead. At the same time he is an American citizen. Born and raised in this country from what I have read. He has the right to bear arms and freedom of speech and religion. Denying him his 2nd ammend rights because he has 1st ammend rights is a tough call. Not sure how to justify denying him his rights under the constitutuion until he has done something to lose them. The old slippery slope argument comes into play big time here. His worship at a mosque that may have been attended by thousands of others is protected under our laws. His speech on the net is protected short of direct threats. If we start stepping in to take away rights you know what is next. Anyone who went to church with a abortion doctors killer could see their guns, association, and speech under the microscope using the exact same logic. On this very site there have been posters who have talked about literally killing liberals. People have talked about physcially inmtimidating those they disagree with politically. OKay for them to be targeted next and have their rights taken away as citizens before they have actuallt done anything other than talk? I want this guy DEAD...the worse the better as far as I am concerned. I just think it is playing with fire when you start talking about taking away anyones rights.
  • Wouldn't that would be a biopsy.
I'm fairly sure an autopsy can only be done on a dead thing.
  • Liberal political correctness is a death sentence
We just lost some really good people to an Islamo-fascist terrorist. We are so blinded by our "political correctness." Our officers are paralyzed by all of this liberal dogma of tolerance for other's views, even if they are treasonous. Now there's an investigation being conducted and it looks like the media is doing the investigating because our FBI is hamstrung by the liberal leaders of Justice Department, Homeland Security and the Oval office of the White House. This is getting utterly insane. We can't call a duck a duck anymore. Now a duck is a cow because our liberal administration says it is.

We need to wake up and realize that sometimes, it's ok to profile. Sometimes, it's ok to step in and say "this is wrong." This is just nuts. It's really nuts.
  • We had it coming
Political correctness B.S. is going to get many, many more people killed in this country. We can thank all of the moronic naive liberals for this.
  • Prevention?
If you're going to imprison folks for "thinking about it", we'd all be in jail. Now that he's presumeably gone and done it, let the booger be fairly tried, and (assuming conviction), then be taken to a public place of execution and put to death (there is statistical evidence that supports the assertion that capital punishment has a deterrent effect) in a suitably horrible manner - perhaps by being fried in bacon grease(oops, a pig is unclean, best forget about paradise and the virgins).
  • the header is a question that is.......
real easy to answer.......he's a stinkin' pork chop stealin' muslim.....just like the presidunce...
  • Simple fix: Deportation
All anti-semites should just be deported from the country. It would be a lot safer than it is now.

I bet the anti-gun control nuts freaked when they saw that this man was allowed by the constitution to bear arms. That worked out well
  • Ft. Hood Shooting
2 sons, one made it home from Iraq in June and the other is still there (2nd tour), daughter-in-law all serving our country. I am in disbelief that this coward "helped" returning soldiers. WTF, when is our nation going to grow a set and get back to common sense instead of holding hands and singing kumbaya? My only hope is that he is tried as a civilian. Texas likes the death penalty. Oh, my family didn't get shot, thank God but believe me, they are affected!
  • remember Sun Tzu
It looks like that if the American people don't wake up and realize what they are facing in the war on terror, America will lose.

I didn't say that originally... It is a paraphrase from Sun Tzu and "The Art of War." I have quoted Sun Tzu before. This time you have to read the book yourself to find the quote.
  • Hassan
In addition to this insight on Hassan, I understand he had been in dutch with the Army for trying to recruit our soldiers to convert at Walter Reed, yet, he was promoted to major this past May. Yep, where is the quality control of our armed services?
  • Ft Hood
We all know exactly why this happened, even given all that was known about this guy. Political correctness got 13 people killed!!!
  • Hassan
My guess is the Army knew exactly what the danger was. That was why he scheduled to be deployed. It was a way to sweep a problem under the rug. He was probably also scheduled for an unfortunate "accident" shortly after arriving. What they didn't count on was him detonating like a suicide bomber while still stateside.
  • Silenced from within
I can speculate here that the same Jamie Gorelick style administrational handling of these type of events. I can picture officers hesitant to raise any red flags on this individual as leftist hand wringers would come out of the woodwork and scream about this persecution etc of this man because he is Muslim bla bla. Now It seems the investigations are starting why no one ever raised the red flags on this Radical Muslim? I would love to see a Commanding officer explain to the accusers it was their policies that hampered them from properly acting.
    Semper Fi
  • 13 People Would Still Be Alive
If everyone wasn't so chickensh*t about so-called "profiling", this a-hole could have possibly been headed off before carrying out his massacre.
*And while we're on the subject* consider this: If this man had used a bomb vest to murder 13 and wound 30, what would the reasoning be THEN for not labelling him a terrosist? Because the only difference between him and a homicide bomber in Jerusalem was two pistols. And the guts to take himself out.
  • Ft. Hood terrorist
Yes, our government ignored all of the warning signs concerning this dangerous man who killed many because they didn't want to "inflame" the muslim community, but a young eagle scout was harshly disciplined, who was clearly no threat to anyone, for having a scouting knife in the trunk of his car at school. It appears that all common sense has disappeared in our country.
