You can look at this one or two ways.
1) Oscar's microphone is clearly a parody of CNN and they're getting 'love' from whatever administration he's interviewing. Anyone who has watched Sesame Street knows that Grouches love trash. So obviously, the grouchette wants to watch something she likes. Which brings me to view #2.
2. That was a clear blast at Fox saying that it's 'trash' though CNN is shown to have an admin that fawns on him.
Still, seeing that this is PBS and we know which way that they like to lean, it's just a blast.

No no! That isn't bashing Fox News. Think about it, it is bashing Obama and his bunch: puppets with an ignorant dummy moving the mouth and doing the talking. ... and good one too ... Ha ha ha ha ha

I think that this was fair. True, they bashed fox at the end, but Oscar works for "GNN" Garbage News Network. The even stole the CNN logo. Look-at his mic.

In our condemnation here. Oscar is working for GNN (the Grouch News Network) for other grouches. He is a terrible reporter, but the 'royalty' love him and his coverage. The lady grouch says she will turn to Pox News for her trashy program. Just a play on words that I doubt had any meaning other than the similarity in sound. The real world has CNN and Fox news, the grouch world has GNN and Pox.

What do you expect from a show that figured they were being insensitive by having a cookie monster (which they then made into a snack monster who ate nutritionally)? Just more indoctrination for the children who will grow up thinking Fox news isn't a news channel because they keep hearing it from various sources.
