Victor Davis Hanson has transcribed the current message belching from the Obama administration: Get Used to an Exceptional President and an Unexceptional Country.

How much have the taxpayers invested in every GM car sold?

This is what happens when you rush legislation through Congress. Millions of Americans may end up owing money to the IRS because of how the Obama administration set up its payment plan for its Obama stimulus checks.

Slobbering Barney Frank wants to use the interest the government collects from the financial bailout to give loans to unemployed homeowners struggling to pay the mortgage.

So who will be the lucky brave 12 jurors to serve on the trial of Islamic goon Khalid Shaikh Mohammed?

Eric Holder's decision to try KSM in criminal court has essentially cheapened the value of US citizenship.

The more details we learn about Major Nidal Malik Hasan and the days leading up to the shooting in Fort Hood, the more frustrated I become with our failure to stop this Islamic goon.

This editorial comes from Ireland, where even THEY see that America is afraid of being anti-Muslim .. that's why we failed to stop Nidal Malik Hasan.

From the nanny state government in the UK: Health and safety inspectors are to be given unprecedented access to family homes to ensure that parents are protecting their children from household accidents.

Why do unions, particularly the SEIU, want the Democrats to pass their healthcare reform? Because the unions will get more power!

Another Senator insists that the authority to force Americans to purchase health insurance is the "very first enumerated power" in the Constitution.

The United Nations nuclear agency announced that Iran will start up its once-secret nuclear facility in 2011.

Remember all of these reports on jobs created/saved by the Obama stimulus plan? Now the Obama administration has slashed 60,000 jobs from its most recent report due to "unrealistic data."

The Supreme Court won't hear an appeal from a group of Native Americans who think the name of the NFL's Washington Redskins football team is offensive. Good.

Ethically-challenged Attorney General Eric Holder has decided to dial back his plans to reinstate the assault weapons ban.

What does our declining dollar have to do with the current healthcare debate?

Islamic nations want the United Nations to implement international religious defamation (read: Islamic defamation) laws.

The word racism has become such a joke. Somehow, this Walmart incident in Missouri turned into an issue of race.

This may be a simple question, but one worth exploring: Why does Obama keep bowing?

What's the point if you are just going to dress 'em up in burqas?

What others are saying

  • @Kitty
    Umm....Kitty? A Buick IS a GM car. :)
  • The US Dollar and Socialized Healthcare
Is there a link? Darn right there is. The end result of socialized healthcare is this: Unsustainable deficit spending (combined with the current administration's penchant for monetarizing treasury debt Mugabe-style) will only lead to hyperinflation.

$moothy says sell the dollar and buy as many Swiss Francs as you can.
  • That's so Ghetto!
Ghetto is referring to behavior not race. Like "trailer trash" for white people. I would pass out if the NAACP just one day told someone to get over it.

I got called crazy white girl many times. I played it off and said I knew witchcraft. (I don't) I was never bothered again for I was now the crazy and scary white girl! And that is how you survive people, get a sense of humor!
  • Barney the Great's solution for ...
homeowners who can't afford to make mortgage payments:

Loan them some more money so that not only can they not afford to repay the mortgage loan, they can't afford to repay the additional loan.

If someone is drowning in water 8 feet deep, adding water to the pool to make it 10 feet deep is unlikely to help.

Butt, you've said many times that "all politicians are scum". That's an insult to scum!
  • trial in ny????????
    THE PLANE.....BOSS.....THEPLANE......

    duck!!!!!
  • are you angry yet?????????
is that cordite on the morning breeze??????

    POLITICIANS ARE SCUM.......

that sounds familiar........where have I heard that before....
  • Merkley and "enumerated powers"
Since I can't go over 500 words here...

    http://xqqme4thinking.blogspot.com/2009/11/i-vehemently-disagree-with-my-senator.html
  • Why????
The obamy administrations decision to bring terrorist to new york for trial is a concorted, deliberate effort to shift the focus away from the government take over of health care/ aka..17% of GDP, cap our industries and trade our jobs away enery legislation; as well as whatever communist totalitrian schemes they've up too behind the curtain. So, Americans I say to you don't watch these trials, forget about giving any attention to it/them. Check the premises of what is going on behind the curtain.
  • Why Obama Bows
He keeps getting his tie caught in his zipper in the men's room?
  • Unholy Union
Stephen Spruiell in National Review Nov. 23, 2009, states that SEIU boss Andrew Stern has visited the White House 21 times since Obama was elected.
Everyone should read this article. It is very scary and illustrates what a monster SEIU boss Andrew Stern is and how he has the Great Stimulator eating out of his hand.

  • Various
KSM US Trial: this might be the beginning of the second American revolt.

GM Cars: Sorry for all of you who have a crap GM car. I bought my big old Buick secondhand and 8 years later, she looks great and runs great.

Muammar's Girls: What a bunch of stupid women. They could have easily been kidnapped and sold into slavery. Don't think it doesn't happen in this day and age.

Walmart Fracas: Sounds like the gal might be a druggie.

Reported Jobs Restatement: Well, you kinda have to restate after someone finds out they were from districts that DON'T EXIST!!!

Homeowner Loans: Dang, I've been unemployed with a mortgage -- I made it. This is another vote-buying action.

Unexceptional country? Hate to say it, but that's how we're looking under Obama. We're financially unstable, can't decide anything, infrastructure crumbling, little manufacturing, stark-raving-mad Reps and Senators, can't pay for our own houses, and on and on.

Authorized Home Invasions by the UK Nanny State: England was nice when I used to live there...now I'd be getting out of there if I had to stowaway. However, we're probably going to be subject to the same during the next three years. I'm looking for a house in Argentina.
  • Terrorist trials are a mockery of citizens
Re-locating terrorists to American soil for constitutionally guaranteed
rights, open court trials and probable incarceration is in direct
contrast of maintaining the Security of the American Citizens, particularly NYC citizens.

Though the Bush administration did finally meet all the demands and
standards for a military court trial; they failed to proceed with urgency.
Apparently, these stateside civilian court trials are motivated to
globally indict the past administration's establishment of Guantanamo; and
appease the same Islamic theocratic countries, (and their sympathizers), that would do this nation and other nations harm.

The Ft. Hood domestic terrorist, Army Maj. Hasan, was under the observation of federal security agencies and the US Armed Services. Yet with all that
oversight and an overpowering record of irresponsibly bizarre and
questionable profressional behavior, this same man murdered
13 people, 1 unborn child and wounded 28 others. Hasan's act of domestic
terrorism hardly provides a measure of confidence in this nation's ability
to identify and halt ALL terrorist threats within our own military, much
more, our own national borders. It takes only ONE successful terrorist to inflict irreparable harm and
    reveal a security weakness.

AG Holder did not reach this decision in isolation from the oval office. Aparently, there is no price too high for this president's political
expediency or deniability. The exposure of Americans to inflated Risk and outrageous Expense of these stateside trials is a comparative drop in the ocean of this administration's agenda to "fundamentally transform America" into an antithetical testament to our founding principles.
  • Trial for the goon
Can I suggest 12 people to be on the jury? There must be dozens upon dozens who would line up for that job tht either got out of the towers that day or lost loved ones.

What a joke, to give this goon a trial!
  • @Jack Smythe
Hey, I totally agree with you on that one for a change. I, too, will never ever buy a GM car for exactly the same reasons. I will never buy stock in the company, either, for that matter-- or anyone else that got bailed out.
  • Re: Ethically-challenged Attorney General Eric Holder has decided to dial back his plans to reinstate the assault weapons ban.
In other news, sales of Plastic pipe and boat rentals are skyrocketing.
  • Re: Another Senator insists that the authority to force Americans to purchase health insurance is the "very first enumerated power" in the Constitution.
The general intent of the Constitution was to restrain governmental power.

Now, how can such a document be used by said government to do the Opposite of it's intended purpose?

How can a restraint on government be used as force by government?

    ....
  • Re: The UK: Health and safety inspectors are to be given unprecedented access to family homes
Coming soon to the US – either to 'Protect the children' or whether your worshiping mother gaia.

It's all for Your own good – after all the Statist Leftist are the smartest people in the galaxy – the universe – they KNOW better than you.

Come on, if we were left to our own devices we might want to eat meat once in a while and be able to defend ourselves and not give most of our earning to our benevolent and wondrous government.

    Can't have that, can we?
  • Jobs "createds or saved"
Check out Drudge for the story on the number of jobs saved in Arizona's 15th congressional district. Guess what? Arizona only has eight districts.

I knew the White House was making stuff up, but just...darn.
  • Walmart incident
America's Finest. That ghetto trash is exactly what America's many entitlement programs allow to grow and reproduce.

And if the police really were telling her to get back to the ghetto (which I strongly doubt), well, good for them.

And no I'm not being racist. I'd say the same thing if the idiot was white--but we wouldn't hear about this then because the white person would not be crying racism.
  • "Dead"skins
Maybe these Native Americans wouldn't be so offended if the Redskins were actually winning some games?
  • More Pro Sports Racist Names
I want the Supreme Court to hear my case that, because my grandparents emigrated from Scotland, I find the Boston Celtics to be defamatory. After all, most of those guys are black.
  • Health Care in Constitution
If you read the full context of what this guy is claiming, he is at least admitting that this is a tax.
  • Exceptional president of an unexceptional country
The White House is right. Obama is too "good" for us. In fact, if he was any better I couldn't stand it.
  • O. M. G. @ Slobbering Barnie
I usually like to read all the reading assignments before I comment but, today I didn't make it past that Barney Frank article.

There are a couple of GEMS in there.

Barney Frank ----> "These are people who are very responsible, very thoughtful. They got a home, it's above water, they've got equity, <--- I got one question Barney...

How is it that responsible people w/ equity in their home cant get a loan... regardless how 'thoughtful' they are? Is it from you insisting that people that couldn't afford a house should get one anyway?
Now you want to give them MORE money?

    WhatEVERRRR...

Frank said the program would be funded using interest banks pay on the $700 billion Wall Street bailout, known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program. <--- you know, that money we BORROWED?

The foreclosure crisis is increasingly tied to joblessness, <---- yeah lower the dollar, tax businesses more, print some more money give it away... that'll surely fix the problem.

I'm a bubble-headed bleached blonde and even I know that doesn't make any sense.
  • Eric Holder's decision
Glad to see Robert Merry's article straightened Boortz on out who is responsible for KSM being tried in the US. I know it's more fun to blame Obama -- especially with the Bush Derangement Syndrome crowd -- the ones who were so sick of Bush being blamed for all the stuff that happened during his eight years that all they can do now is blame everything on Obama then sarcastically add: It's Bush's fault!!!
    *wah*
So to the party formerly known as the party of personal responsibility who has now fallen in love with playing the victim: Holder made this horrible decision.
  • Just had
Just had my "quality" GM car break down again yesterday. The dealers attitude was the final straw. Going to trade it in for an import.
  • The KSM jury
    http://blogs.indystar.com/varvelblog/11142009.jpg
  • Whine-Master and "HIS USE" of teleprompters
Speaking of teleprompters yesterday, the Whine-Master himself used one at Kennesaw State, May 25 for his first and only speech given to a commencement class!
  • Why would anyone buy a GM car.
We bail out GM to the tune of 50 $billion dollars only to learn that a good $43.5 billion will never be repaid to the taxpayers (and the shareholders also got burned). What do we get for our money? Overpaid UAW workers with "infinitely long" job banks and health care coverage for life. Do we get quality? While foreign car manufacturers are showing us cars that can park themselves or wake us up if we doze off while we are driving, GM shows us SUVs with "more" cargo space. Funny that if we buy a foreign car our money goes into innovation and quality. If we buy an American car, our money goes towards supporting the UAW. Why would anyone buy a GM car? Besides we're all already paying GM with our seized tax dollars.
  • re Merkely
Our elected officials run roughshod over the Constitution simply because we have allowed it. Either because of ignorance derived from government education; or the selfish concept of allowing the Constitution to be sidestepped as long as our "ends" were met, we the people have allowed it. We can complain all we want, but it is ultimately our own fault. Vigilance could have prevented this, but we got lazy. Now, possibly the only means to turn this around is revolution.
  • Bow(el) Movements
Somehow, it is all part of the health care reform
  • Auto Unions
The auto unions, like any other union, are only interested in the survival and betterment of the union. They are rabid and vicious over any anti-union act or words...and they stand with the flag and claim it's the American way. What morons. I will never again buy a car from a unionized company.

By the way, different subject, I will not buy Citgo gas, nor will I even buy a newspaper from a store that sells Citgo.
