Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.
Obamacare and power
Its important to remember that the introduction of "Obamacare" has almost nothing to do with the Dem's rhetoric about "caring for the uninsured" and "concern about the lack of universal healthcare coverage". That's just a convenient smokescreen for the key issue which is assertion of government control of ~16+% of the entire US economy. Its really about the Dems wanting to exert ever more control over all of us, making us ever more dependent on big government as the solution for every newly politicized so called "problem" in our lives. Future votes for Dem congress members (aka "looters") are dependent on it.
Trashing the the world's best health care system, with its leading edge innovation relative to the rest of the world, in favor of some undefined utopian system where all the patients (47 million new ones no less, to be served with the same?, likely many fewer doctors) will now allegedly be treated "equally and fairly" with no rationing of services is just plain irrational at best and profoundly foolish at worst.

What ever happened to the government just being run by a bunch of inept, arrogant, idiots? There's not conspiracy here, just a bunch of morons talking amongst themselves about "Well every other country can codify a minimum standard of health-care, surely we can too!"
It's the "America is best, therefor we can do it too, without even thinking too hard about it" arrogance which causes good ideas like universal health-care.

That's irrelevant, isn't it? The fact that congress is going ahead with Obamacare, despite the opposition of A MAJORITY OF AMERICANS, is proof-positive that us "going along with this" has no bearing on it. Face it, folks: WE'RE LIVING UNDER A TOTALITARIAN SYSTEM NOW.
