I've suggested making this a weekly occurrence. So far, it seems pretty easy to come up with these moonbats. This week we are dealing with Rep. Carol Shea-Porter. First of all ... notice that she is a hyphenated American. Right off the bat, we know that we are dealing with a person who cannot make a decision. But that is for another rant. For today we will stick to a quote from Shea-Porter about health insurance. She is one of these Americans who believes that you come about health insurance because you are "fortunate." Here's the quote ...
"I think when you can pay for insurance, you must ... For those who are blessed to have insurance through their companies, they should keep it."
There are two parts to this mindless quote from Rep. Carol Shea-Porter. I'm a little unclear on this. By "can pay" does our hyphenated congresswoman mean people who have the money left after their cell phones, PlayStations, beer, SUV payments and dinners at fancy restaurants? Or does she mean people who might have enough for a health insurance policy of they only spend for the basic necessities. Just looking for clarification. And why we're all being clarified ... what's the deal with this word "must"? Is the good congresswoman telling us that she is the one who tells us what we "must" spend our money for? She is assuming control over that portion of our life we expended to earn that money? Nice.
The second part of this quote implies that people who pay for health insurance or obtain health insurance as a benefit from their employer are "blessed." Some may also say "lucky" or "fortunate." The point is that these people did not have to work to obtain these benefits, nor do they have to work to keep these benefits. Nope. According to Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, you are merely blessed." Typical fare for the left. Work hard, make good choices, get the right job .. and you're just one lucky stiff.
