You are obviously very angry, and I get it. You have seen first hand, moreso than anyone else here, probably, what happens when you are completely at the mercy of an inept beauracracy. A government filled with imbeciles that can't make it in the private sector where you can actually get fired if you don't do your job.

You fully understand the irony in the phrase "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

But, you have managed to escape that hellhole, and now work hard to provide for yourself and your family. You thought you had finally put that miserable chapter behind you.

But now, the past is coming back to haunt you. People are clamoring for more government 'assistance,' and not only do they want it for themselves they want to force it on you! And here, on this very board, we have people like Snarkybird who are either too clueless to see what you see, or simply don't care how it affects other people as long as they get their "free stuff." And they are doing everything they can to force that hell back on you-- simply because they don't want to bother trying to take care of themselves.

Yeah, you're angry. I get it. I'm angry too, and I haven't even been through what you have.

All you progressives and clueless liberals: All we want is for you to leave us alone. Let us live our own lives and take care of ourselves and our families....but no, you can't do that. Why not? Well, the answer is you're too lazy. You don't want to be bothered taking care of yourselves, and you sure don't want to take care of other people. But that doesn't sit well with your conscience, so you "compensate" by clamoring to use other people's money (but not yours) to help other deadbeats just like you. All just to make yourselves feel better.

So, to sum up, you are doing everything you can to take from us so that you don't have to do anything and can feel good about yourself at the same time.

And you wonder why we have all this anger towards you? You are parasites. I'd say take your craptastic ideas and go somewhere else but you can't do that, becuase deadbeats can't really steal from other deadbeats.

And as if that isn't bad enough, many of you morons snicker and laugh about it while you're doing it. The end game for liberalism IS totalitarianism. It is the liberal that believes that everyone should act according to the liberal perception of social behavior. It is the liberal that believes that under THEIR plan that they can construct a tightly controlled Utopia. It is the liberal that believes that the government can decide who lives and that everyone will live safely, harmoniously, knowing their place in the commune.

I realize the power of medication. Medication has been used effectively by US forces to gain favor with local people in foreign lands. Children are inoculated, infections treated, so that forces can embed with local populations to accomplish a US Government goal. Snarkybird, you know nothing. You have the capacity to be intelligent. When the US Government has total control over our medicine they will be able to control us any way that they like.

It's not just one little company dude sitting at a drug company saying "oh I think 2million ought to be enough'. It's a joint effort. So the CDC can blame the drug companies "reagents' or whatever, but they should have been more on board with this. Also my original post was about the regular flu vaccine, again inexcusable that we ran out.

I would say there are LOTS of places to lay blame including the government that wants to take over health care, which by the way, when you add that to all the other takeovers, add in SS/Medicare, the government will then have control of 48% of our nations wealth.

I used to see lines of Russians outside waiting for their ration of toilet paper. I am glad that we now get our meager health rations doled out to us by the government in the form of lines and screenings because the demand exceeds the supply (DUH).

What will we do when we have a real medical crisis. The reason this isn't a big deal for us medically is because the swine flu is not a big deal medically - it is another strong flu - that's it. What will we do when we have a real medical emergency, and when it actually means potential life and death? Well we know who will get the first vaccines - those who serve our government.

You have never seen what happens when a government falls apart. People that have been oppressed and enslaved through socialist programs (like the ones Snarkybird wants) can turn in a heartbeat. They have been trained through socialism to act as a mass with a single purpose.

I watched from a hill side through a scope as a local politician/attorney and his family were dragged from an apartment/office by a very angry mob of people, young and old, men, women. The family was beaten with whatever wooden club objects with embedded nails, iron truncheons, bricks, stones that could be found. The attorney/politician was hung from the building by his ankles with what appeared to be strands from a barbed wire fence. He watched his family beaten to bloody lifeless heaps while he hung upside down. Then the crowd turned to finish him. I will save the group any further detail.

So you ask, where was the military, the police? They stood by and watched. They did nothing. I had interacted with the the population as an outsider delivering aid prior to this event, sensed a lot of anger in them. I was never ready for this and nothing prepares you for it. So, keep it up Snarkybird, you and your liberal friends. When you go to bed tonight, just tell yourself, all this anger in the country is just some conspiracy made up by some wacky media outlet suffering illusions of paranoia. Yes, that is it Snarkybird. Now why are you starting the week out pretending we haven't researched the health crap bill when there has been nothing but discussion, links, questions and lots of research here for MONTHS. There really is nothing new in the Pelosi one just more verbiage. Same old crap.

And no, shortage of vaccine is not a conspiracy, it's worse. It's bad planning. Which doesn't make me feel any more confident they can handle health care.

Of course I don't. I am always right when it comes to predicting how these social engineers control the masses. I know for a fact that they have enough vaccine to forcefully inject every man woman and child in the US. The shot is being rejected because the American people are being educated as to what the side effects of the vaccine can be as well as the fact that this flu is NOT a national emergency, but yet we are now at National Emergency status. The government is TRYING to create the illusion of a crisis in order to get people on board with taking the shot. If they are able to convince enough people to take it then they will go ahead create a real scare and declare it to be mandatory.

I have a question for those out there quoting the number of deaths associated with the normal flu strain. They say that something like 35-36k people die of the normal flu every year, but what I would like to know is that out of that 35-36k people how many of those people took the vaccine? I have never seen the numbers on that. I am willing to bet that a very high percentage took the vaccine. Further than that I am willing to bet that it was the additives in the vaccine that ended up causing death and not the flu itself.

There is definitely some doubt that there will be a shortage if it was the private markets solely manufacturing this. Also, if these companies dont want government contracts they do not have to make the agreement in the first place. Why are conservatives such crybabies over everything? Including vaccines

History really repeats itself. For the past 200 years, this US Government took by force, land and possessions from the indigenous population in return to provide them health care (among other things). It's in a treaty! It must be real! That paper gave the US government tremendous power to hunt down and use any force necessary to enforce that agreement. Many men, women, and children died directly by government by government force. And in return? More death from the failure of this US Government to honor its treaty requirements.

Now, the US Government has returned to take by force, property from the new indigenous population (citizens of the US) in return to provide them health care. That paper in Congress grants the US Government tremendous power to hunt down and use whatever force necessary to take any and all belongings to satisfy its revenue raising requirements.

That bill in Congress is an Authorization document. It does not appropriate anything; but, it gives the US Government the power to enforce seizures. AND if there is no money in the US Treasury for to treat you, well, sucks to be you. Currently I am paying out of pocket for my mother's cancer treatment because there is no money appropriated for Indian Health Care for her treatment.

A lot of this bill depends on new sources of revenue. Where is the US Government going to find that revenue??? Well, if I manage to make enough money to pay for my mother's treatment chances are this government will come after me for the money. So, let me ask you Mr Snarkybird. Those folks that you talk about needing health care, how happy would they be to find out that the piece of paper they get from the US Government telling them about their new US Government health insurance came at the expense of another person dying? How would they appreciate that? Must be ok. Why? Because being the filthy repugnant sanctimonious thieving liberal that you are, you would bask in the accolades you received from the people that you stole for. That's right, Mr. Snarkybird, you are the thief pretending to be Robin Hood. It's all about YOU and making YOU look like the great savior. It's YOU getting the US Government to steal from someone just as a thief would use a knife in a back alley to steal. And, being the filthy liberal that YOU are, not unlike the KKK of 40 years ago, you would gladly kill a people you find inferior to protect “your own.”

Swine Flu was declared a national emergency and drug testing regulations were eased with the declaration. Testing was apparently not going all that well for the vaccine. Talk to your doctor.

I agree with Stan. So this is how Neal's going to be from now on. A problem pops up and it will always be blamed on the government. If something runs smooth then it will always be the result of the private sector.

We're already out of the regular flu vaccine around here but there are more swine vaccines on the way. That makes no sense, the regular flu we KNOW kills about 30,000 EVERY year, so we should have plenty of that one!
