Yup. It's been 86 days since General Stanley McChrystal asked for 40,000 more troops in Afghanistan. It's been 86 days of Obama dithering. McChrystal still doesn't have the troops. There's probably no way to document how many young men and women have died because the Commander in Chief is completely unqualified for the post.

What others are saying

  • Good leaders come to quick decisions and change their decisions rarely/infrequently.

Poor leaders are slow at making decisions and change decisions quickly/frequently.
  • The Commie and Chief
T-Shirt. You couldn't buy a clue with a gold card.
  • wrong guy for the job
I feel bad for little Obama. He didn't know this job was going to be so hard. I mean the guy's never been anything more than a simple social worker, FFS. It would be like taking a welfare loser and making her chairman of the board at MARTA.
  • Obama's dithering
Obama is dithering because he does not have a clue about leading and being Commander in Chief. He spent his whole life in academia which is a world all unto its own with no footing in reality.
This is the real world and he is incompetently out of place.Fighting wars and their strategy should be left up to those qualified,i.e.McCrystal.
Obama at first intrigued me,then he showed his incompetence or naivety. After that he embarrassed me.Now,I am fully ashamed of him being the president of the United States.
  • I'm Convinced
I'm convinced that this is part of his plan. NOT making a decision until winter has set in in the higher elevations and passes in Afghanistan. And the relentless push for ObamaCare instead of being the Commander-in-Chief. Excuse me, exactly what church do the Obamas attend? Has anyone seen the Obamas attend ANY church since taking the oath of office? If he can't get his weekly dose of Black Liberation Theology why, he just won't attend ANY Washington, DC establishment Church. I wonder how many times Jeremiah Wright has visited the Obamas in the White House. Don't give me that "well his name wasn't on the visitor list the Obamas just released. He hid in the trunk of the car :<) Or, the windows are tinted.
  • and in a shocking development...
Neal once again uses a double standard that is right up up there with the best of all time. He screamed the loudest when left wing nuts accused Pres Bush of getting soldiers killed by his talk and his actions. Suddenly now it is alright apparently. Here is the simple fact. Neal never served a day. I mean he would have only been aged 18-28 or so during the meat of the Viet war. He had every opportunity to show his patriotism and take a position but instead he is simply another mouth breather who talks a good game. Easy to send other guys into a meat grinder when you are sitting on your fat butt back in the states. Way too many of these guys on both sides of the aisle and all over TV. I only served 6 years. Baumholder, Germany and Fort Rucker, Al. Fortunately for me it was late 70's and early 80's and peaceful. This is after seeing my father do 25 years and 3 combat tours, while also losing an Uncle in Vietnam. I appreciate every person who is willing to man up regardless of whether we agree politically on issues. What sickens me though is to see politicians and talk show hacks who play games with soldiers lives. These d-bags didn't have the nads to actually do anything and are left only talking about it. I don't care it is Cheney, Rush, Neal, Olberman, Beck, OBama, Clinton, or anyone else. Men die every day in wars that cowards create, drive, and present themselves as experts on. Sucks, but true.
  • "Created or Saved" vs. "Killed or Wounded"
President Barrack Obama is fond of quoting jobs that have been "Created or Saved" since he implemented the so-called stimulus plan. I am curious about how many of our service men and women have been "Killed or Wounded" since he began pondering what to do in Afghanistan. Where are the MSMs on that stat?
(James - you beat me to the punch)
  • Obama Aphganistan Dithering
In all fairness, I don't think "how many soldiers have died" is fair. I've hear even if Obama had approved all the troops to go imediatly, nothing would move for months.
  • Ditherer in Chief
What can we say, he is the Ditherer in Chief, or the initials D.I.C.b
  • decision
There's no teleprompter for this one...errrr....uhhhh....ummmm....ahhhh...
  • tomacejimmeyfontainbriandolanect.ect.ect.
You mean the unarmored Humvee's Bush inherited from hillbilly clintoon?
  • spent brass........
    RECONDADDY........thank you for your service........

my service was many years ago and in a different climate......we didn't win that one either......this is a mission impossible...

you and your comrades in arms were doin' your sworn duty.....butt.....it was mostly self defence....right??? you protected each other.....

these peeple are desert dwellin' not out of the stone age yet.....followin' a religion of hate and bloodshed.....and don't want any part of democrecy....

THANK YOU once again.....I hope you made it in one piece.....

    redecorate......that's friggin' funny.....
  • This is beneath him...
Community organizers can't be bothered to Chiefly Command, give him something important to do, like calling cops that respond to B&E's at university professor's houses stupid.
  • @ T-Shirt
    well said t-shirt .. well said ...
  • Bring the troops home....
That would be the traditional conservative thing to do. There's no war on terror to begin with, we see the proof every single day that goes by that we do not see the Mexican border secured and legislation that encourges ALL illegals to head home.
  • we should bring back the Iraq invasion leadership...
...they did a crackerjack job waiting nearly 5 years to send extra troops. Oh, and we've been in Afghanistan since October 2001, and Obama has the nerve to delay victory for 86 days!! Our troops are dying!! (but didn't die from October 2001 until Obama was put in office, apparently). When our troops died in Iraq, fighting a sovereign nation that had never attacked us, we heard right wing stand on their soapbox and claim they were defending our freedom, so we didn’t have to fight the terrorists over here, etc.... and all those who disagreed with the then-President were America-hating, terrorist-coddling Osama lovers. Now that we've got a President that actually is looking at Afghanistan from time to time (as opposed to not at all, by the Bush admin.), I suppose that NOW is the time to be critical. It amazes me how so many people who were supportive of Bush when he was 'deliberating' for years on what to do (which amounts to making no decision) are so antagonistic toward an opposition party President that is making the exact same decisions you supported so faithfully, only these decisions are being made faster.

I just wish this President wasn't continuing the nation building policies of his predecessors - we are not an empire and it is not our job to run one.

Go in. Kill the target. Get out. Leave no men behind except an ambassador ...if earned.
  • The war could be won if....
we could only use the same tactics Sherman used on the Confederate States of America. Screw their government, and women and children. Kill em all. Nuke em. Too bad we have a pro-muslim pacifist for president.
  • To Ubiquitous
That's what he should have done with the Stimulus.
  • 86 days
Stupid, no-good Bush waffled for 7 whole minutes after 9/11!

I guess next to that, 86 days of waffling by the Divine Manifestation doesn't seem so bad...
  • how many?
Maybe we could use the same formula for "jobs created or saved" to calculate how many of our troops have died waiting for the Anointed One to make a decision.
  • Question
Loathe as I am to admit I agree with a certain someone, I have to ask the question - "It's 3 am in Afghanistan, Mr. President. What's your answer?"
  • @Tom Ace
    Were you over there, boy?

While liberal pansies were back here stirring up fake indignation over "armored" HMMWV's, myself and my colleagues were knee-deep in spent brass and grenade pins, screaming NOT to armor our vehicles. Perhaps you've heard that armored HMMWV's aren't the most nimble creatures on the planet. If we'd wanted to be a sitting duck, we'd have been AMTRAK'ers or tankers. At least tanks have a big-a$$ gun turret.

Hey libs, do us real men a favor and stick to something you know a little about -- like styling hair or decorating my living room.
  • 86 Days Doesn't Seem So Bad
    I --- MEAN --- IT'S --- NOT --- LIKE ---HE'S --- DECIDING --- WHICH --- DOG --- TO --- ADOPT. RIGHT???
  • Deanne
if you think "our young men and women dying fighting for our Freedoms and helping others to attain theirs" is true, then i've got some oceanfront property in Tennessee that i will sell you dirt cheap.

    LOL
  • What Did You Expect?
This will always be the case when there is a Commander in Chief that hasn't served in the military.
  • Wrong answer Ubiguitous
He isn't thinking it through. If he was thinking it through, he would have stayed at his desk in the oval office, instead of trekking around Asia and goofing off with other things. He would actually give a damn about our men and women in uniform and stop killing them with every day he wastes playing golf and worrying about that "emergency" healthcare bill.
  • lying lier
You said it so well, short and not so sweet. As soon as the 111th congress took over in january 2007, everything started to go to hell; it was not a coincidence. This depression was orchestrated deliberately....the totalitarians in charge wanted complete control; what better way then to destory the finanical markets etc. It also was a twofer because they wanted Bush to finish badly. Unfortunately in this country 25% of the people are retarted, another 35% are sacred cow welfare moochers (not counting seniors who paid into SS and Medicare); the largest ponsy scheme ever, makes madoff look like a third rate amateur. Most don't understand that congress holds the purse strings and everything that is wrong is because of the 111th democratic congress with a coward in thief at the helm.
  • that's so libertarian of you
that's so libertarian of you, neal. wanting us to increase the war that we are never going to win. i guess that's how you, and other neocons, want to strengthen america. off the dead soldiers backs.

    perpetual war for peace!!!
  • Interesting way to calculate
Perphaps we can calculate a number much like the way the Obama administration calculates the number of jobs created or saved due to the porkulous plan. We'll just pull a number of thin air and not really worry about how it is derived.
  • 86 DAYS?
Obama isn't dithering; he's thinking this thoroughly through so he can make the right decision.
  • Not specific enough
You were not specific about which Commander in Chief. Think about how many generals asked Bush for more armor and all the money went to halliburton security. But I guess conservatives will cry about how they are more qualified to run the army. I mean Bush did a great job keeping charlie out of San Antonio.
  • Totally ticked off ... we need troop surge
Where is the public outcry??? Why aren't Americans getting really ticked off about our young men and women dying fighting for our Freedoms and helping others to attain theirs. Why? Where is the "I'm a dam mad American" and am tired of seeing soldiers die, people losing their jobs, their homes, everything we need to live is skyrocketing, employers costs going up and not being able to employ more people but instead in order to cut costs they have to lay off more workers. I'm sure this isn't the "Hope and Change" they were looking for when Obama got elected.
The Obama administrations answers, YOU need more government control because you are just a stupid, lazy, American who can't do anything for yourself, YOU need the almighty government to control YOU. No wonder there is no honorable work ethic in this country, the liberal government encourages people to sit on their behinds and collect government money, they are doing what they did to slaves, keep them down, make them humble for the scraps thrown at them, and when you get the leftover scraps from the almighty "O" and his administration be grateful.
Don't know about you folks but I've had enough, in 2010 there will be CHANGE and a lot of unemployment for all politicians who don't stand up for what Americans want .. we are tired of their self serving agendas.
  • Obama unqualified
The news media spent so much time telling us how unqualified Sarah Palin was to be Vice President they completely forgot to tell us Obama was even less qualified to be president.
  • i'll tell you how to document it
Take the total number of casualties in the last 10 months in both wars- that's how many have died due to prezbo's incompetence.

The sooner they raise their fists and say "Woot.. we won! Let's go home!", the better!
  • liberal tw*ts
Obama lied- people lost thier homes, jobs, savings, and died.
People's misfortune are nothing more than campaign opportunities for this ba*tard.
