He supports “hate crime legislation” that benefits hyphenated-Americans while ignoring the fact that black on white violent crime comprises 90% of inter-racial violence. O’Reilly waxes poetic about “child predators” yet ignores the fact that biological mothers commit over 60% of all child abuse/murders (any connection w/ abortion on demand and the callous behavior of a number of women WRT their children?) He refuses to address the “Paternity Fraud” epidemic. He refuses to address legal double standards WRT punishing the misbehavior of women-children: CAPT Nowak, Mary Winkler, Andrea Yates, Debra LaFave, etc. He also refuses to address the sexist nature & myths behind the VAWA, etc. I suppose anyone to the right of Marx & W E B Dubois would be considered a right-wing to you.
On the other hand, Greta V. is an overt female chauvinist who only focuses on “female as victims” stories. And then there’s the matter of FNC’s stable of female-chauvinist trial lawyers who automatically convicted the DUKE3 in the court of public opinion. Where are their apologies? I would agree that FNC is chock full of anti-male female chauvinists like Lis Wiehl who is consistently provided a venue for advocating the further expansion of female privilege.
But please do cite one biased FNC news story- I’m sure that George Soros-funded, left-wing media wh*re, Media Myrmidons, can you provide you with more than enough information.

Fox 'News?'
The only problem I have with Fox News is its name. If they're going to call themselves a news station they should deliver news, not just opinion. I watch them from time to time and they seem very emotional. They show a lot of celebrity opinions as if they reflect the overall public view. They also select individuals and air their opinions to give a skewed view of general public opinion on things. When I watch Comedy Central, it's not for facts, just entertainment, the same as watching a late night show. But... when you watch a news channel, you expect to get facts, knowing there might be some bias and emotions, but mostly facts.

the death of liberal news
Fox News is healthy for journalism, in that they drag the Democrat networks to stories they would have previously ignored (stories that conflict with their political leanings).
Remember the days when there was JUST "the phone company"? If you owned a business, and you wanted three phone lines, you had three phones on your desk. Competition came along, and everything improved. Same goes for television news.
All of this balogna about liberal networks being objective is laughable. They were spoiled for years .... not reporting Democrat scandals, slanting the issues, demonizing Republicans, etc. And now?? Now they're desperate for ratings .... late to every major Democrat scandal, dragged kicking and screaming the whole way, reporting just enough to claim they covered the story ..... truly pathetic.
The CNN's of the world are bitter, confused, and scared. They watch Fox's ratings climb while their own decline, and it becomes plainly obvious that Americans are more conservative than they thought. The answer to improving their ratings, objective journalism, is a hateful thing (unthinkable). Death is better.
I'm just wondering when another start-up news organization will come along to compete with Fox, considering objectivity sells.

They were talking about this very thing on the news the other night, I forget if it was Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight but they had Paris Hilton on to discuss the destruction Fox News and Talk Radio are doing to the concept of the media and to the Obama Administration. Cameron Diaz made an especially thoughtful point when she said that "Fox News is, like, bad and stuff.". Now I'm not saying we should have censorship or anything like that because I am a strong supporter of the 1st Amendment, but we really do need a government body to oversee the media to ensure that the correct views are heard and that regressive points of view are left behind.

The liberals have all those other outlets available to them, then why is it that Fox is beating them? Didn't used to be that way did it? MAYBE, and this is just a crazy wild idea, maybe those other sources could get their viewers back if they did oh let's say, investigative journalism? Maybe, I know this is crazy, but maybe not take the word of everything coming out of Washington and do a little fact checking of their own???? More of my Independent/Libertarian/Conservative Party Friends watch Fox News. I am Not a cheerleader, I quit watching ABC & CNN all together when the elections came. I felt short sided with those channels, compare to my Internet search on all candidates. Cnn lost all respect from me. I do not watch much on Fox, but maybe Glenn Beck & On the Record. I am old fashion, I read my news.
This is a lose-lose tarbaby for the WH.

Too Depresed to be Mad
It should be shocking when a US administration tries to use the NEA as a propoganda arm; when only one network reports perhaps hundreds of thousands of normal American's protesting the president or when two out of three networks mock ordinary American's who participate in almost spontaneous demonstrations. Unfortunately, that type anti-free speech has become the norm, rather than the exception since Obama's inaugeration. If the liberals could think of a way to get rid of Fox News, they would. At one time, that type stuff made me livid. Now, it just makes me sad. What happened to freedom?

There is a great difference between FoxNews and the so-called "liberal media."
The so-called "liberal media" has actual NEWS programs. Sometimes the news is bad for Democrats. Sometimes it is bad for Republicans. But whatever the NEWS is, the liberal media runs with it.
FoxNews (other than Shepard Smith's newsast) is OPINION. To the extent it reports the news, the news is intentionally distorted to support Republicans. News that benefits Republicans is emphasized; news that hurts Republicans is ignored or minimized. No one can seriously dipute that.
Now there's nothing wrong with broadcasting opinions. The probably is that too many morons believe that they actually get NEWS from watching Fox.
For that matter, there are folks on this board who probably think they are getting the news by listening to Boortz. Some people just can't be helped.

Ok let’s do a little more math
ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS are all in the broadcast corner, meaning they broadcast their NEWS SHOWS on free airspace to all homes across America. Gilligan’s Island, I love Lucy & Seinfeld are all network shows like the Nightly News Shows who’s scripts are loosely based on the events of the day. In each 30 segment, Obama will cure any medical problem, like Gray’s Anatomy, or solve all of our legal trouble like Perry Mason, or root out all evil like HEROS. Each is there because they sell commercial advertising time to support the networks. These News Shows are not there because of some civic good the network feels obligated to provide. I bet if you let their ad revenue drop and they will be playing reruns of Wheel of Fortune. In the other corner is CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS are all Pay NEWS shows, meaning you PAY MONEY to view them. Just like HBO, ESPN, Discovery Channel, you must buy that service monthly from some provider. Given that the Census Bureau states there is roughly 160 million homes in America. The NCTA says there are 125 million homes passed by Cable TV, and that only 63 million that actually subscribe to basic service. However when you add in Satellite households the number rises to 102 million potential viewers, So, 58 million homes are not able to view these shows. (And most of those do not have health insurance, but that is another topic) By the end of the first quarter of 2009, Fox was beating CNN and MSNBC combined in the ratings, however Fox News was ranked third in prime time viewership behind USA Network and TNN for Subscription Viewing. So to say FOX NEWS IS "COMMUNICATIONS ARM OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY" is like saying HBO and Tony Soprano is the Communications Arm for the Godfather. And last outside the ring is NEW YORK TIMES, LA TIMES, WASHINGTON POST, ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION, Northern Angel Soft, Cottenelle, and Charmin Ultra Soft are all in the Paper Business….well we won’t go there..
Why Does This Bother Liberals So Much
I mean liberals control 98% of the media in this country yet they all throw themselves in a tizzy with wailing and gnashing of teeth over Fox News' supposed conservative bias. So what. NBC is actually selling Obama T-Shirts and memorabilia in their store in NY. Some may argue about Fox's allegiance to the GOP but there's no doubt about where NBC leans yet no comments from the left about that. However, even if Fox does lean right, I can say with 100% certainty that there are more liberals on Fox News than conservatives on all of the other networks COMBINED. Even when it comes to guests on these pundit shows, Fox absolutely kills the other networks for having those with differing opinions on. Hell, O'Reilly has the Co-chair of Code Pink on regularly. How often does BSNBC or CNN have Wayne LaPierre(NRA) or Rep. John Linder(Fair Tax Bill) or any other member of a conservative group? Fox may be right leaning but it is what it says it is and that is a fair and balanced network because at least they give both sides.

People here simultaneously make two contradictory arguments time and time again:
Argument #1: The "left wing mainstream media" is dead . . . Fox wins the ratings, Air America is on life support, newspaper circulation figures are down (and it's all because of their liberal stance, right? COuldn't have anything to do with the Internet availability of newspapers), the right wing "party before country" tribalists are selling books by the boatload.
Argument #2: The whole world is against us conservatives. The mainstream media is a powerful institution tearing America down and advancing a leftist agenda. They are part of a global conspiracy to promote the cult of Obama and spread Eurosocialism around the world. If only everyone would watch FoxNews 24-7 and read Sarah Palin's (snicker snicker) book, they'd all see the light and world would be a better place.
So, which is it? If the "mainstream media" is dead or dying, then stop b1tch1ing about the MSM. If the "mainstream media" is in control, then your gloating about the success of FoxNews or the Wall Street Journal is misplaced, isn't it?

Fox is a primarily conservative based outlet. They have an audience that they play to and they do it very well. Any notion that it is not is laughable. All that said...so what? It is a private business and can do as they please. They have put together a winning formula. Their business plan is to give conservative viewers a place they feel they will hear their own opinions expressed. It is also the reason they have the highest ratings. While liberals/democrats have multiple stations they feel they can go to Fox has virtually 100% of the conservative audience. From Fox and Friends in the morning until Hannity at the end of the day it is 95% conservative pundits mixed in with a couple of liberal-lites. Everyone can agree that CNN and MSNBC are biased towards liberals. Why is it so hard to believe FOX is biased the other way? CNN had Beck for a long time. MSNBC had Savage and now has Scarborough. When has FOX ever had a truly liberal commentary pundit other than Colmes who was only a cohost and a lightweight compared to Hannity? I don't give a flip if Fox is biased or not. Does not concern me in the least because it is a private business. That said, they are as biased on their side as anyone in the business. I am curious how a Olberman, Maddow, Schultz type show would do on FOX.

Interesting Use of Free Speech
You have to love free speech! You can say just about anything and it depends on the level of the receptor’s intelligence whether it is accepted as truth. CNN is bad in our country but when you watch the international version you get the true agenda of CNN. They absolutely hate our country; every bit of coverage denigrates us. I pray Americans will wake up and understand that CNN is taking our country down every day around the world and Fox does not have that world power. The new law on media ownership in Argentina is indicative of future legislation in our country. We can expect more Fox bashing as the Obama team works to remove the only dissention standing in their way for achieving their goals.

I am not into the group thing. My inspiration is the original United States Constitution, Bill of Rights, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine, George S. Patton Jr. and Douglas MacArthur.
But, sometimes I do watch FOX news because they are the only ones who will actually cover the real events that are happening in our country.
When NBC, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, and CBS failed to cover the springtime Tea parties and the largest march ever held in Washington D.C. in the first week of September, well, they lost ALL credibility from me. Who do they think they're kidding?!
