  • Princess Nancy has decided to change the name of the government insurance option again.  This "public option" thing wasn't working out for the looters.  Maybe they were comparing the possibility of "public insurance" with the reality of "public schools."  We'll give you new, approved government language today ... language many in the ObamaMedia are sure to pick right up on.

  • President "Sort of a God" and the looters have been demonizing the health insurance companies for their "obscene" and "immoral" profits.  Fine.  But do any of you know what the health insurance industry profit margins are?  You will, after you listen to the show today.

  • Is The Community Organizer delaying any decision to send additional troops to Afghanistan until after next week's elections?  Politics always comes first with PrezBO.  I wonder how many American soldiers will die while The Chosen One is waiting for the elections are over.

  • Obama played golf more time in 9 months than Bush did in three years.  So what?  Maybe he likes golf more than Bush did.  Can we get rid of the silly stories and concentrate on Obama's war against the private sector?

  • Democrats are growing weary of Florida's moonbat Alan Grayson.  Shouldn't go around calling women "whores," Mr. Grayson.  But then .. he is a Haaaarvard educated lawyer.

  • CNN is in last place among cable news networks.  Hmmmm ... just how long ago was it that they banned radio talk show hosts from appearances on CNN?  Fox is No. 1.  Correct me if I'm mistaken .. but aren't there two radio talk show hosts with shows on Fox?

  • I've been telling you for six months that there's a bank seizure coming up.  Now Barney Frank is ready to introduce the legislation.

  • The United Nations has decided to investigate the housing "crisis" in the United States.  The UN wants to investigate public housing, homelessness and foreclosures.  The premise here is that housing is a right ... and that right needs to be recognized in the US.  Are some of you getting a little weary of this essentially anti-American institution?

  • A winning Falcon's season with a trip to the Super Bowl could turn out to be very expensive for Georgia taxpayers.  Be careful what you wish for.

What others are saying

  • @Mike
Mike, poor people are not looters. They are moochers. It's the looters that enable the poor to be moochers.

You are correct in that lobbyists strong-arming the system are looters. Anyone that bribes the government to enact legislation that allows government force to transfer wealth is a looter. No argument there.

You go astray when you talk about late fees, etc. When two parties, of their own mutual consent, sign a contract that is carried out as it should be, there can never be any looting. The difference here is, if you don't like the bank's terms, you can choose not to sign the contract, and walk away. Try doing that with the government.
  • Profit Margins ...
don't tell me anything. I am very pleased with my insurance company. I have heard horror stories of them denying claims, but in my time of need they exceeded all expectations of customer service.
It does bother me that they claim low profits when they are able to build two skyscapers, have naming rights to an arena that is home to an NHL franchise and sponsor the second tier of NASCAR racing.
  • The real looters
"When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that justifies it."
I've read this to several people who don't "do" boortz. I ask them who is being referred to as the plunderers. Nobody ever says poor people.
Poor people aren't the ones who are strong arming the system to get gains.

That is the job of lobbyists. Bankers are also looters. Charging $29 for a late fee or a bounced check. Anyone who charges 20% interest is a looter. People who take advantage of other people or exploit them are also looters who plunder other peoples lives.
Lawyers are behind any change in the legal system or moral code. They are also looter/plunderers. They use the courts to plunder, loot and or destroy people.
  • Agree with Neil on the Golf story...
And Bush cleared more brush in 3 weeks than Obama has done in 10 years. Big deal. Lets count up total days spent away from the White House for both Presidents...

Give the golf thing a rest, Bush wasn't a real golfer. Next we'll hear that Obama's played more basketball than Bush. Seriously.... how about some facts that matter? These people are an embarassment to investigative journalism. How about we send O'reilly's producer down to pounce on Obama's caddy and ask the tough questions the alphabet networks are afraid to ask? Does he use composite or metal clubs? Would he actually rather be driving a titleist?
  • Oh yeah, forgot Miller...
...he gets his spots weekly on O'reilly. Rush gets his spots on Hannity and Greta also. Boortz used to get on Hannity and Colmes, but seems like Fox has been snubbing him lately. He must be toe'ing the Libertarian line too much, not blindly supporting Republicans. Wouldn't want too many critical thinkers going on Fox now...
  • only two talk show hosts on Fox? someone forgot how to count...
    1. Beck
    2. O'reilly
    3. Hannity
    4. Ingram (even though she's a side-show)
    5. Mike Huckabee - I may be a little off on this one, but I think Huckabee also has a talk radio spot periodically

I couldn't find any Air America hosts on Fox's line-up though...
  • Approved government language meanings
    a very short list:
“Those who quality”: you’re stupid, poor, and irresponsible so the government will take care of you.

“License”: government approval to do a certain task

“Undocumented alien”: even though they broke the law, most vote democrat and are easily pandered to, even if they steal someone’s SSN, they’re paying taxes”

“Disenfranchised”: your feelings were hurt and we’ll find a way to make you a victim

“Working families” those who are just making ends meet, not the people who own the jobs… they are evil, even though they have families and are working.

“Mandates”: you don’t need what we are forcing you to get, you will need to purchase these mandates because the moochers can’t afford these mandates.

“Community Organizer”: bands together a group of worthless people to demand businesses and government to give them what they want. These people are government educated; a good percent didn’t graduate, so they are easily controlled by the key words of the Community Organizer.

"Public option": the use of force by government to undermine private business, when a business can no longer survive because government has underbid the private sector, these businesses will be demonized as greedy before they go under.

“Public”: government doing things by force

    etc...
  • Princess Nancy smells a Rose...
She can call the government interference option whatever she likes but, the American people know that a turd by any other name still stinks...
  • Health care Insurance profits
Unfortunately it really isn't the profit margin that the liberals are actually talking about. I don't know what the absolute dollar profits are (I should look it up I guess) but I will assume since there is a lot of money involved that in total dollar volume profits within the health care insurance industry is fairly large numbers. It like the oil industry profits. Low profit margins but huge dollar volume. This is the liberal play. Works every time. Of course all of this is nothing compared to the dollars the federal government is borrowing against our futures. Actually this is an interesting thought. Generally, people understand what Millions of dollars are (thanks to the lottery) and they sort of understand billions of dollars but they apparently have no ability to relate to trillions of dollars. So the trick is to demonize at the levels of dollars that people think they understand and then do the real nasty at levels they do not…
  • Princess Nancy
She can keeping changing the Government option to whatever name she chooses, but the American people know that a turd by any other name still stinks!!!
  • Gayvin Cornhair is back!!!!
I love when you come on here whining the way you do Gayvin, because it shows just how much of a crybaby you liberals are. Now, go change your diaper.
  • gay rights activists mingling with immigration reformers
Come on Neal, you know there's a taco comment in there somewhere!
  • well he is....................
    don't forget his voting record........PRESENT......
  • talk show hosts
O'Reilly's radio show was canned. Dennis Miller is also a talk show host although not many get his humor or understand him. At least dummies like me.
  • @ gavin
Yes - in response to your question. He will be morally responsible, but don't you worry because he won't be losing sleep over it.
  • Government Health Care
With all the opposition to any health care bill, why not table this whole discussion until the triple deficit amassed during the past 9 months subsides and the 10%+ unemployment figures drop? Most Americans are pleased with their health care insurance. The small amount of uninsured, which has been estimated at 32 mill up to 37 mill are about, what....10% of population? Of these, when you weed out the illegals, those that can pay but choose not to, those that can't pay but haven't signed up for Medicaid, the figure drops to about 12 mill, yet we want to overall a system other countries envy. People need to understand that there is a difference in health care insurance and health care (which everyone has access to). Let this administration clean up Medicaid and Medicare programs and then, when the public sees how well they operate, other's will flock to be covered. There is no "right" to health care insurance, just as there is no "right" for this administration to come in and take control. Compare the CDC with WHO, soon they'll be one in the same. No more innovation, no more ground-breaking inventions or medical break-throughs....well, at least in this country. Maybe India will take over as the world's leader in health care.
  • It's like....
That scene in "The Wiz" where everyone is wearing green clothes. The lights are green. The streets are green.

Then the Wiz makes an announcement over the loudspeaker: "I've thought it over, and green is dead. From now on, the color's red!"

    And suddenly, it's all red!
  • Obama's golf game Vs GW Bush's golf game
It's a well known fact that Prez Bush quit playing golf while in the WH, even though he thoroughly enjoyed it (and even though it was a stress reliever) because he did not want to be seen playing at the same time that some mother was getting the news that her son had died overseas. Now that's a leader. No wonder the military loved him.

A must see from the 545 PROJECT:
    http://www.weaselzippers.net/blog/2009/10/545-project-releases-powerful-video.html
    The cost of Obambi's dallying.
  • I'm no Accountant But......Health Insurance Profit????
    Average gross profit margins:
    Law firms = 30%
    Painting contractors = 45%
    Apple Co = 34%
  • o'reilly?
when is bills radio talk show on again?i used to listen to him but havent been able to find his radio show lately
  • Name Changes & Golf
1st the name change: This has always been a hallmark of the left. For centuries, "liberal" meant a person who was for less government & more individual freedom. The left adopted it & changed its meaning completely. The same with "progressive" -- it now means one who wishes to return to centralized power.

As for the golf thing, the reason that resonates with Americans is that Obama cannot make time to meet with the Secretary of Defense & the Joint Chiefs, but he has time to play golf. The economy is crumbling & Obama plays golf. Basically, they see this as Obama fiddling while Rome burns.
  • when the revolution.......................
barnyard frankfooter will be in charge of weeners when the revolution starts.....
  • A winning Falcon's season with a trip to the Super Bow
    Not going to happen
  • Burden of Proof
Is Boortz under the impression that asking this suggestive question:
"Is The Community Organizer delaying any decision to send additional troops to Afghanistan until after next week's elections?"

Proves this inflamatory and untrue statement?
"Politics always comes first with PrezBO."

....and the suggestion that Obama will somehow be morally responsible for killing US troops because of it?
  • KOMRADES.....................
    welcome to amerika........
  • It's not the profits as much as it is.......
the cronyism that health insurers have with Congress and state politicians. When you have one or two competitors for a whole state and they can deny people over the silliest of reasons, yeah, people get pissed and hate them. When you have health insurers filling the campaign coffers of "pole-lick-ticians" for favored legislation that keeps competition at bay and allows them to maximize their profits, yeah, Americans get burned.

As far as profit margins, it's just a numbers game, a creative accountant can make profit margins what ever they need to be. Executive bonuses can be written as an expense to hide real profits. Lavish vacation junkets and corporate jets can be written as an expense to hide real profits. Give me a break already.

Sure we need health care reform but not a public option. We should have 50+ health insurers competing for our business, then things will work themselves out. Ask Clark Howard if you don't believe me.

Of course Neal, you know all of that but it's your job to stir the pot and get people angry for ratings. Job well done, however, the wealth envy jab is getting old for your more intelligent listeners.
  • Re: “how many American soldiers will die while The Chosen One is waiting for the elections are over. “
Neal, are you even suggesting that Barackely would buy votes with human lives?

Come on! He's a so-called “Liberal”, the smartest and most caring people on the freaking planet, Of course he and the rest of the Statists care about people …..

    - well, except for Conservatives, members of the military and other assorted crybaby wingnut neocons.
  • Talk Show Hosts
    Beck - check
    Hannity - check
    O'Reilly - check
Ingraham - check (she fills in for O'Reilly)
Miller - check (frequent guest of O'Reilly)

There are 3 regular Fox hosts with talk radio shows & there are others with radio shows that make frequent appearances on Fox.
  • What's good for the goose
    Neal,

Point taken about tee times vs. the destruction of our free economy[*], but Obama deserves some heat on it too. Remember the grief that George H. got for driving his boat around a harbor? W. went on "vacation" (while the Oval Office was renovated) with a working itinerary that boggled the mind, and all we heard was that "the President is STILL on vacation..." It's time for Barry the First to share in some of the unpleasant lime light.

    Bill

[*] if I thought that playing golf would slow him down, I'd buy him a membership somewhere!
  • Neal is WRONG
There are at least three talk show hosts with radio shows. O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck.
  • Only reason
The only reason that conservatives(or anybody else) dont like Barney Frank is pure anti-semitism. Otherwise he is trying to help out the country and nobody can argue w/ his policies except for being either anti-semitic or a pure conservative crybaby.
  • Talk Radio Hosts on Fox
Do I get to correct the Talkmaster? O'Reilly, Beck, and Hannity all have a talk show. That makes 3 talk show hosts on fox.
  • @ Neal don't leave me hanging
    Neal:
I found it. The Banking Queen bit is on down in the news.

    Thanks!!!
  • Grayson Gonna Go
You have to figure Alan Grayson is in trouble with his re-election bid, and did himself no favors by using such a derogatory term. On the other hand, calling an Enron lobbyist a 'whore' is probably one of the only TRUE things to exit Grayson's deranged mellon since he became a politician.
  • Neal don't leave me hanging.
    Neal:
You said that there was some new Bank seizure legislation that the Banking Queen Barney Frank is going to introduce. I don't get to listen to your show so I have to pick up on the "NUZE". With that said, where is more info regarding this bank seizure legislation?
  • Profit Margin
Yes, I do. A typical profit margin for health insurance companies is around 6%, but the average profit margin last year was about 2.2%. I picked up on this one yesterday.

    http://politicsalabama.blogspot.com/2009/10/another-obamacare-falsehood.html
  • Ins % and the UN
Insurance industry is at 2.2% profit margin, mean evil people.

And just what the hell does the UN think they are doing investigating us???? I hope no one cooperates with them. I mean I would love for someone to string up Frank and Dodd but jerks that they are, they are OUR jerks.
  • Simple Economics
Why is it so hard to make people understand what government health care will do?

Government mandates every person have health insurance.
Government institutes a program to give a "government option" on health insurance.
The uninsured take the government option, and many who had private insurance who could afford the plan abandon them to get the government option, because it's cheaper, and people think the level of care will be similar.
Without those people paying in, the private plans have to increase the premiums on their remaining customers to cover their costs, or, if government bans them from raising premiums, they have to cut back on coverage.
The government plan doesn't have to cover its costs, but just gets bailed out when it isn't solvent - after all, it's government.
Eventually, the private plans become unsustainable, and they are forced out of business, because they can't operate while paying out more than they take in.
The people who had been paying are now forced onto the government "option."
Because of the huge increase in numbers of people on the plan, because the government can't cover the costs, the government starts turning down payment on certain procedures (which is why people say there will be "death panels").
This hits seniors the hardest, because they need the most care, but they cannot pay for their own procedures out of pocket, because the government won't let them.
As a result, more people die, taxes increase, government confiscates more of a person's estate upon death to try to pay for it, and the system continues to deteriorate.

The government has no authority to enact this, and if they try to pass this government takeover, they'll see just how little power they actually have.
  • Golf
Excessive golf, basketball and charity fund raisers are signs of a failed president.

To diminish these harbingers seems contrary to Neal's intuition.
