Barack Obama, our CEO-in-chief has decided that companies which received the most bailout money will be forced to cut executive pay by 90%. Aren't you glad we have our imperial federal government to tell us how to run things now?

Yes, Mr. President: A Free Market Can Fix Health Care.

The government option is coming, folks. And here's how the Democrats are going to achieve it.

House Democrats are looking at re-branding the government health insurance option as Medicare. Because if you don't call it a government takeover of healthcare, our government-educated dumbmasses will be too ignorant to know the difference!

Harry Reid is upset because efforts to pass his "doc fix" failed .. and it is all the fault of those Republicans!

Okay, I'm ready for the "I'm never going to listen to you again" emails ... would conservatism be better off if women didn't vote? I think you know where this is going.

Seven months after passing the economic stimulus bill - that was supposed to create or save 3.5 million jobs over the next two years - 49 out of 50 states have actually lost jobs.

Well this is interesting ... Politico says that Matt Drudge is responsible for the decline of the dollar. Man, politicians would KILL for that kind of influence.

You mean to tell me that the government bailout program is going to end up costing the taxpayers more than its initial $700 billion? Gee, color me surprised.

The third-ranking Republican in the Senate says the Obama administration is launching a Richard Nixon-like political strategy of making an "enemies list" of people who disagree with the president.

God help our men and women in uniform ... the White House says that it is exploring a "larger role" for John Kerry in Afghanistan.

How much is a trillion dollars?

Rape: a preexisting condition?

Pentagon used psychological operation on US public.

  • @Nederland
I am sorry about your wife. But, would you rob a bank to help her? If so, then do that and live with the consequences of your actions. But don't use the government to rob from me-- that is even worse, as you hide the truth from yourself about what you are really doing.

By the way, medical costs are as high as they are for 3 reasons: government, government, and government.

Do you really want them stepping it to "fix" it?
  • PSYOPS ???
I'm not expert in propaganda, or psychology, but...

I don't see how this could be interpreted as a "psychological operation". It sounds more like "stategy", or "tactics", or "making the most of your limited resources", or just plain old practical, common sense.

Again... i'm not expert on Psychology, but "psyops" would seem to be a thing that relies on abberations in thinking, or logical tricks, or something that takes advantage of an inherent flaw in someone's thinking process.

But simply deciding to "put our best foot forward", or "doing the best job we can" in our efforts to "get the message out" doesn't seem anything like Psychological operations.
  • public option
best way to stop this may be a recall petition. state by state / district by district. let them know what registered voters think
  • @Jeffery
I do live within my means to pay for the medical bills. Right now it's about 4k a month for the next 50 years or so. However, what is your solution to fixing that, because a lot of people will never be able to afford that... let those people just die... then if that is the case euthanize people like we do animals if they get sick. That is the cheapest way of dealing with the chronic illnesses. I hope you never have to deal with Cancer or anything like this to have to make the choice to put a family member down.

I was just saying what is a solution to do with that. It does get to the point that you have to make 250k a year to pay for your medical bills... How do you solve that solution? Not everyone is going to make that money. So those people end up in the ER's like Grady in Atlanta and Parkland in Dallas. Where the property taxes are huge to pay for the uninsured that get there.

I have not taken any handouts. I do pay those premiums and glad I can. How do you treat the ones that can't?
  • @Twistedsaint
That's just it... in the US she is done. No insurance. We'd have to leave because she would be left to die. I don't blame insurance for not covering her, however no one else will help unless you become a lab rat. You get cancer in this country you are done, they will treat you, but you file bankruptcy repeatedly and then it's back on the taxpayers. So how is this right.... No one can afford 200k in medical bills a year.
  • X
I am nowhere near "far right". Far right would be extremists who resort to violence. Don't see a lot of that going on, but a little. I'm libertarian, you ought to try that one.

are you suddenly a democrat? because they are the ones how promote "fairness". their health care reform is "fair". why don't you go for that "fairness"?

i thought libertarians wanted less of government. this would be are whole new field for government employees

i don't think only rich white folks can pass a test, but i don't want government to decide that.
    By tshirt-doctor.com

You think it's fair? NOT. I was making fun of all the "fair" talk coming from the left that really equates from each according to their means, to each according to their needs.

And the test wouldn't have to be all that hard to score so the government wouldn't be able to cheat. But people who only take should not be able to vote and decide how much to take.
  • Women voters
Even if conservatism were better off, it still wouldn’t be right under our principles. I’ve always thought there should be a property or at least a taxpayer requirement to vote (even before I owned land), and I didn’t need a multimillion dollar study to tell me men and women are different physically and mentally. We’re humans, our forebrain can overcome and suppress our animal instincts and biological programming to logic and reason well enough to make such decisions regardless of sex.

Boys and girls go to the same schools and take the same history and civics classes. The problem of them not knowing any better than to think socialism is a good idea starts at home and continues at school. You can’t adequately protect or defend principles or a Constitution you don’t understand. This problem took a long time to create and it will take a long time to fix, if it can be at this point. We haven’t even started yet.
  • Oh joy

  • More on voting
"Conservatives are certainly welcome in the Repub or Libertarian party. Romney/Clinton? That's an interesting concept. Used to be that way originally, top vote was Prez, 2nd was VP. I'd go for that."

You are right about the Libertarians, they are welcoming of conservatives, these days perhaps more than republicans.

You have my idea right. I think it would make for better administrations and it is the way the founding fathers intended.

Now some are going to complain that this would throw most elections to the House to decide instead of the people. But over the last 30 years or so the people left to themselves have not always seemed to make the best choice (need we remember Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama, George W Bush). And the House would also be representative of the 5-6 paries so instead of this 2 party blockcade which cannot get anything done it woukld make it more imperitive for different parties to get together and work things out including settling any election thrown to it.
  • @Ivan and Tshirt on voting and videos
“i like all these conservatives and libertarians who want people to take a test before they're allowed to vote. or, better than that, you have to make a certain amount of money to vote and you say you're for freedom, huh? it don't look that way to me.”

Why do you consider it unreasonable for someone to be required to demonstrate knowledge of our government and how it works before actually choosing the people who occupy the positions? Being knowledgeable about our government should be a requirement for every citizen if they want to have a say in how it is run. There are too many people (liberals and conservatives) going into voting booths with “voter guides” and blindly vote for whoever the guide tells them too.

At least as Joyce says, make it a requirement for graduation or having a driver’s license.

“BTW I know for a fact you didn't watch it all the way through”

Didn’t need to. I don’t put much stock in conspiracy theories.

So how about we get those other parties started? We can give the extreme right the republican party and start a new conservative one. Liberals and those in the middle can have theirs too. At least 5-6 minimum to make this work.
  • Doc
why don't you say what you mean? only rich, white folks deserve to vote
    By tshirt-doctor.com

I'd say having the amount of votes equivalent to the amount of taxes/support you are providing to those making less is only "fair"!!!

Are you saying only rich white folks can pass a test?
  • X Republican
You can say all the negatives you want about Rush it's the bull coming out of so-called conservatives and lefties who keep trying to claim that Rush runs the party. That is stupid. And to let anyone other than the people you are voting for decide what party you belong to, well then, you are a weak minded individual and easily swayed. Conservatives are certainly welcome in the Repub or Libertarian party.

Romney/Clinton? That's an interesting concept. Used to be that way originally, top vote was Prez, 2nd was VP. I'd go for that.

I've watched the first video and half of the 2nd. Interesting and unfortunately probably a lot of that is true. Politicians have been talking about a new world order for years, Bush Sr, Bush Jr, Clinton, Gore and Obama to name a few. Note, both R & D in the mix. We are indeed taking more and more cues from the UN and international courts. All of which undermine our republic.

So to any who have NOT watched the videos, try at least a few. Don't let 3, X or me decide for you. Watch for yourself.
  • To X Republican
If it sounds like Fox News and Talk Radio it is because they are stealing material from Jones which they are in alot of cases. Hannity and Beck steal alot of Jones' material and then peddle it as their own as if Fox News somehow scooped Alex. BTW I know for a fact you didn't watch it all the way through because parts 8-14 are topics that the MSM would NEVER touch.
  • Brian F
Coward. Wish I could post the other word here. You claim Conservatives are not patriots and don't support the men and women of the Armed forces, then a few minutes later say that you flee the country rather than serve. But that's okay, no one in your unit would want an idiot like you around anyway. The risk of you getting them killed wouldn't be worth all the bonus money the government can print. Stop posting... save yourself any further embarrassment.

I did watch some of the videos so i would say to 3mbw and anyone else, don't waste your time. More or less the same things we are hearing on Fox News and Talk Radio or as they would put it "same ole drivel"

I wish there was a political party for conservatives, as we are no longer welcome in the Republican party. I used to be a Republican until the day i dared to make a negative comment about Rush and was then was subjected to namecalling and other forms of disrespect. Who needs that?

In fact I would like to see 5-6 viable political parties and go back to the original constitutional way of electing a President. Can you imagine the 2008 race not Obama vs McCain. But Obama, McCain, Clinton, Romney and others running and perhaps ending up with a tru Pres and VP balance. Instead of Obama/Biden we could have ended up with Romney/Clinton which would be balanced and better than we have now.

I kind of like this idea, after all if you were in a club they're not going to let you vote if you haven't paid your dues.

Of course this will never pass and would be a monstrosity to impliment and enforce. Perhaps a compromise could be to give everyone one vote, then an additional vote for each one thousand dollars in taxes you pay. It's does the same as Jack's idea, but none can claim they're left out.

I do beleive at least a citizen should be required to pass a test that shows they have a knowledge of the government and how it works before being allowed to vote.

Both the one + vote and the testing. At least make it part of graduation from High School or part of DMV to get your license. They always ask "Do you want to register to vote? Take this test and bring it back."
  • Hmmm, kerry helping out in Afghanistan, lotsa possibilities there.
They could always use him to draw fire so they can spot enemy positions. He could show those Marines and Green Machiners how to clear a house without inconveniencing, upsetting, or endangering anyone inside. Apparently he’s an expert. I can see a political cartoon of kerry duct taped from the waist down to the boom of a Buffalo EOD vehicle with a screwdriver in one hand, wire cutters in the other, and an alarmed “ohsh*t!” look on his face.
  • @Libertarian Voter
Please Please do not take Fantana's jackass statements personally. That creature is mud; subhuman even. He spouts nothing but nonsensicle slop and should be ignored like the pond scum he is.

I salute you for your military service, and for your work ethic and willingness to keep learning.

If we compared you to John Kerry, you would be the giant, and he would be the blowfly on a piece of dog squeeze that you almost stepped in.
  • @Nederland74
Nederland, while your story is sad, what you are asking is for an insurance company to pay out thousands of dollars for your medical bills, simply out of the goodness of their hearts. They won't cover your wife because it is a losing proposition for them, and they know it.

You think that's being greedy? Well, would YOU take that deal? No, of course not. Nobody wants to pay out thousands of dollars and get nothing in return for it-- why do you hold the insurance company to a different standard? Just because they DO help some people?

This is the typical progressive-thinking "sympathy play." Sorry, but while your story is sad, it does not justify theft from others by government force.

You don't need insurance. What you need is charity.

I thank you for your service to this country. Please do not allow a cretin such as Brian Fontana get to you. The old adage of putting enough chimps in front of enough keyboards and anything ever written by man will, eventually, be reproduced by the chimps.
I bet he doesn't even know what a cretin is....but once he sees a picture of one, then he'll know! ;-)
And you can bet if the chit ever hits the fan in this country, and the same 30% of folks who picked up arms in the Revolutionary War decides to do the same a second time around, rest assured you would not ever have to put up with the Bryans of this world being next to you in a foxhole. He'd be one of the ones hiding under his bed in a puddle of urine and poop, crying himself to sleep at nights while you, me and plenty of others around this blog would be doing the right thing...clearing Washington of the trash that has been deposited there over too many years.
It happened once in the formation of this great country and never, ever believe it cannot, or will not, happen again.
Again, thanks, LV! And to little bryan... there's a village in Venezuela missing its idiot. Care to apply for the position?
  • The problem with the public option, Medicare, or whatever you want to call it.
You rarely saw fraud in the healthcare industry prior to Medicare. I was an administrative intern when Medicare came out and Medicare changed everything. It was government with a huge checkbook giving out money like a drunken sailor. Everywhere you looked, aluminum siding and used car salesman were quitting their jobs and getting into the healthcare field as medical equipment and supply vendors, billing experts, independent lab & imaging owners, etc.. In other words, fraud was rife in healthcare.
The problem with the government writing the check and private industry cashing it is there is no check on the low lifes out there that will do anything to get a illegal share of the money.
I know that experts say that fraud only represents less than 5% of medicare outlays. But what the experts don't know are all of the less than prosecutable ways that Medicare can be ripped off. Its very subtle. Like a physician ordering mobile ultrasound procedures on every other patient he sees in trade for the mobile ultrasound company coming to his office on a minutes notice to scan a patient that really needs it. Of course, the doctor always has the option to send his patient to the hospital, but that's a hassle for the patient and the doctor doesn't get the medicare reading fee for the scan that's actually read by the tech.
It's got be be one way or the other in healthcare. Either the government needs to get out of the healthcare business entirely, or it needs to take over it entirely. No in-between.
And I mean the government owning the hospitals, clinics, labs, imaging companies, etc.,employing the doctors, nurses, and techs for the time they work, not the procedures they perform.
Then watch the increase in applicants to the used car and vinyl siding businesses.

KMA pal...I have NO RESPONSIBILITY toward you or your wife. Move into a smaller house or apartment, buy a beater to rid yourself of a car payment, get rid of your cable, cell phone, internet, etc....ONLY AFTER you have reduced your own spending to that of the basic neccessities of life (food/water and shelter) should you EVER come to me asking for a hand-out.
  • Women voting
I am against stupid people voting, whether male or female! I think people should have to pass the test that naturalized citizens have to pass before they can vote. However, given the choices we sometimes have, maybe voting is overrated. But the real solution is to convert more women to libertarianism and away from nannystatism, and more men, too by the way, there are plenty of moronic men voters who want the gummit to take care of everything!

The topics covered in the documentary are not some kind of crazy idea that came out of their heads. They back all of it up with credible sources. To deny what is said in these videos is unthinkable. BTW nice job taking the bait. The ONLY reason you attacked me the way you did is because of the title of the documentary. If you watched the video you will see how Presidents from both sides of the fence have done this to us in incremental steps. The honest to God truth we must face now is that all these "horrible" things the conspiracy theorists have been warning about is actually coming true. I am sorry to inform you that your fragile little faith in government is about to get a violent shaking. Hopefully you will wake up.

I double dog dare you to watch this video. Even if you come into this with a closed mind there is no way you can sit through this and not realize we have ALL been duped.

  • I know it's been said many times before...
but this is absolutely ridiculous. Congress needs the pay cut. Most of America is taking a pay cut right now because of their actions and yet not only do they not take a pay cut but they give themselves a f-ing raise.
-I had a lib friend point out that "they didn't vote themselves a cost of living raise" I'm sorry they voted against forgoing their cost of living raise... as if that's much more honorable.

On top of all of this how many cheat on their taxes? Just makes me furious!
  • Voting Rights
I'd like to see a system in place where a person gets one vote for every $1000 paid in income taxes (as reported on his/her personal income tax forms).

If a person doesn't earn enough to pay taxes, he/she gets no votes. If a person is so rich that he/she can use loopholes to avoid paying taxes, then no votes in Federal elections. If a person paid a lot in income taxes, he/she casts a lot of votes.

This would be the fairest voting system. The people that pay the most have the loudest voices.

And the same thing should be done at the state level.
  • Ivan!
    Will definitely watch those!
  • Doc Fix
The whole doc fix thing was a plan to not cut or freeze medicare reimbursement for doctors that had been scheduled by the Federal Medicare Reform Act of 1997 in return for their support for healthcare reform. In effect, it was a bribe. It didn't work and Reid is mad.
  • Executive Pay
Congress screwed up by initiating all these bogus mortgages for people that couldn't pay without any regulation even though many kept calling for regulation, mortgage bubble popped as bubbles have the habit of doing, all hell broke loose in the financial world as a result, everyone stopped spending. All of this happened in a VERY short time span, what corporation could adjust that quickly? It's not surprising that so many went critical. Is it all their fault? There is an argument that government caused it. So should they be punished just because they had to take tarp funds? No and it's not legal I don't care how you look at it. Law is objective. Many of the "talent" did prevent their bottom lines from being worse than they could have been so yeah they have been working hard at keeping their companies viable.

Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd need to be the first in line for pay cuts if any are to be made. Just cause they are total screwups. But then that is us voters being subjective, remember, law is objective.
  • Kerry
Body Double Time! John Kerry's head, and any statue on Easter Island...see the resemblance?
  • Voting Rights?
No one - man or woman - should be allowed to vote unless they pass a test. I listened to a radio station ask trivia questions to "the man on the street" this morning. People did not even know who the Speaker of the House was or what state Obama served as senator. Typical voter.

  • Executive Pay Cuts
Odd, didn't see Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac on the list, are they not also "wards of the state"?
  • Executive Pay
They are right to base executive pay on performance but they need to start at the top. According to this criteria Obama should have his pay cut by 90% based on his performance and Congress should have the same. By the way will Congress get a pay raise next year?
  • John Kerry Fans
You guys singing the praises of John Kerry are maroons. A true supporter would never behave the way he has. Lying about the military being like "Ghingus Khan" and more recently slamming our troops in Iraq... All for his own political gain. Kerry is but another of the socialists in DC. Soldiers have sacrificed their lives fighting against socialism. Get him out. Here's a great ROCK (not country) tribute to our Military heroes called SOLDIER---which brings the point home. Yeah, these guys may have been responsible to a degree but who is going to stick around for 1/10 of their pay and who in their right mind would wnat to take on those jobs? Maybe the same guys are updating their resumes and looking for a way to bail out themselves. I wonder if Congress would be willing to take paycuts for turning out such lousy work themselves?
  • Psychological Operation
If you don't use some psych when you are convincing others your method is great, especially when you have some motive besides just helping someone, you will not sell it.

I even use psychology on my dog to get him to do what I want - within his limited reasoning.

The more limited the brain, the easier the job is.

Adjust your methods to get the desired successful results the majority of the time and you will be fine.
  • @Libertarian Voter
Thank you, sir! It is only due to those of us willing to go into harm's way to wreak vengeance on those who would do us harm that we can suffer the fools who're too stupid to realize that the freedoms they so freely abuse were paid for in blood.
  • Fall of the Republic

Join me and the millions of other Americans who have decided to stand up to the globalist elites as they attempt to destroy America from the inside. Show this video to everyone you know. • Jump the Shark
    Hey Frank,

And you know about the aspiring congresscreep story how? Because Mike Stark said it? Has he shown any proof?

I've got one for you, I saw the President and the Secretary of State out behind the WH doing the nasty. I don't need any proof. It happened and my getting arrested by the Secret Service for stalking the President has nothing to do with my fabrication...um...story. (please note, the entire thing is made up to make a point. Most of you knew that, but Bri, 3 and Frank might have needed clarification)
  • Pre-Existing Conditions
The one thing I keep hearing is the free market is better for insurance. What about the people that are raped as in the article that can't get insurance. Or my wife, if it wasn't for our jobs we couldn't afford her health insurance due to her being Type 1 diabetic. Not the type II, but type I insulin dependent since she was 13. I researched it and no one would cover any of her medications and we were looking at 1400 a month plus a 10k dollar deductible. She ends up in the hospital about once a year. This would bankrupt us. That doesn't include what it would cost in order for my daughter and myself to get insurance as well. Thirty thousand in deductibles you might as well not have insurance. I can't afford 40k a year if something happened. Might as well tell the doctor... Come and take my house, car and everything I own...

    mmm....mmmm...mmmm...Barack Inane Obama.

  • Women voting
I saw the most ridiculous sign on the local Democratic headquarters' window.
    "When women vote Democrats win"
SO does that mean that they think women have no minds of their own and just vote democrat without question or does it mean that they think women are just so much smarter than men and therefore vote Democrat?
    ROFL.....
  • Woman voting rights
I would prefer that the provider class get to vote and the receiver class could not. That would give an incentive for them to become a provider
  • Reid's "doc fix"
How stupid are they? Let's freeze doctor's pay? Great incentive to reduce the shortage of physicians we have now. How about freezing congressional pay? Or better yet, cut the pay to represent a part-time position (what it was meant to be). Less time in DC would only increase the wisdom of these effete elitists.

    liberal = hypocrite
  • These bailed out executives messed up their companies
It is disgusting that over a trillion dollars of our hard-earned taxpayer money was taken from us by force, and given to badly run private banks and insurance companires as TARP money. It is equally disgusting that we saw our stock and mutual fund prices plummet to the ground (along with our 401K) as a result of the risky behaviour of these excessively compensated executives. And it is also terrible that we saw 150 billion dollars of our TARP money going towards bonuses for the employees of these bailed out companies. Meanwhile all that the customers of these banks get is ever-rising bank fees, closing HELOC accounts, and deceptive loans and credit cards. And what is the most disgusting is that you refer to these CEOs as "talent".

I want my TARP money returned to me, before we talk about compensation, to already grossly over-compensated executives that did nothing except drive their "capitalist" private companies into the ground that we, in turn bailed-out in a very socialist-fashion.

We should have let these corporations croak.
  • Veterans
"The way the conservatives treated John Kerry at the 2004 election was 100% proof that they do not care about American soldiers or veterans"

If you think that's bad look how they treated and still treat one of their opwn, John McCain who served and was a POW, more that can be said of Cheney or Bush 43.

I have issues with Kerry's behavior, particularly when he was still a part of the armed forces. Yet as my great uncle always said the notion that veterans have to be pro war is false. He went into WWII a normal patriotic american, and came back a anti-war liberal. He never took a dime of veterans benefits. He never made a judgement on any of his fellow servicemen, but did not hesitate to make a moral judgement against himself.
  • Just for the record
From yesterday something that TOTALLY ticked me off, does it you?

    3 you're an idiot
I hope webwench gets this posted tomorrow, cause it's late when I found this crap.

    How dare they
"It didn't work out well for the people who died in the late 1700's. But they wouldn't have done it any differently. Do we have that same strength? I wonder"

How dare Joyce compare today's conservatives to the patriots of the American Revolution? Those men in the late 1700's were fighting for freedom against a oppresive British King.

Conservatives today are just sore losers imagining that anything other than their regime somehow is a threat to our freedom. when in fact their people (Cheney/Bush) brough us dangerously close to a dicatorship.

How did VOR and Jon Stewart put it? They are confusinbg losing with tyranny.
    By 3mbw

You obviously did NOT read my post. Do you see where I asked if we had the same strength? And then I said "I wonder"???? Dont be such a Moron.

And yes, they were fighting against an oppressive (learn to spell 3) British rule, and now we are struggling against an oppressive Progressive/Statist dishonest takeover of our Republic. Yes that is YOU and your kind.

Any fool who would take Jon Stewart as someone to quote, well you are probably the type to think Mao is just swell just like Anita Dunn.

Of course you don't see it as tyranny and losing of our liberties because you ARE A DAMN TORY!!!!!

  • The truth about ACORN, won't be found on this site but at Daily Kos!
Well the truth is bubbling to the surface concerning ACORN and the Pimp story! Seems like the Taliban Wing of the Regressive Republican Party,it's on-the-air flacks and flakes "jumped the shark" on the story about the pimp O'Keefe and his round-heel ho!
Head on over to dailykos.com and click on the blog entitled, "What a huge day" by Mike Stark!Found on the right-hand side of the site.
It will be a lot easier for the most of you just to watch the video's, for your reading and comprehensive skills seem to circle the Port-o-Potty drain!

  • Rubbish...So Let's Try...
    ...turning the tables a bit.

Since the first group of women said, "sure, you can move into the cave permanently", men have pretty much been running the show.

    Clearly it's not working.

Instead of taking away the rights of women to vote, let's take away the male rights to vote or hold office and see what happens.

After all, we're 51% of the population so we're the majority.

Hmm. The more I think on it the more I like it. Barter with another woman for a man that appeals, buy him for a few goats...oh, sorry...I mean negotiate his willing marriage contract.

And then, since there isn't a rule against doing what we want with them, have my way, force him to cook, clean, raise children and do all that I instruct.

Then, because I've taken away his rights regarding whether or not have children, breed him up and leave him with screaming kids all day while I mess around with the fancy man I keep in an apartment downtown.

    Yeah! That'll work!

That dude is a dinosaur. And he's wrong. I'm a friggin constitutinalist and that means fiscally conservative and have no interest in anyone's private lives. What a dolt, he is.
  • John Kerry
John Kerry does need to have a bigger role in Afghanistan. Give him one of those malfunctioning rifles and throw him on the front lines. Let him "report for duty" and finish the service he skipped out on in Vietnam.
  • @Brian Fantana
Evidently Brian.. you have not served in the Armed Forces neither have you studied your history. When John Kerry got back, he called his own troops baby killers in front of Congress, and he had his paperwork manipulated so he could get those purple hearts. Furthermore, he protested his own chain of command in public in uniform about the Vietnam war, which is conduct unbecoming of an officer.

Sorry, but the actual history blows your argument out of the water.

As for my experience, I put 13 years of my life on the line so you can have the freedom to put your comments here. I have served in both Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom so I have been there, done that, and got the actual ribbons to show for it.
  • Cato Report
A great example of free market solutions rejected by the Con Man in Chief. The left has no interest in providing health care (or anything else). It is simply a power grab. Didn't ole Bill tell us that Government knew how best to spend people's money?

    liberal = hypocrite
  • What does one TRILLION dollars look like?
    http://www.pagetutor.com/trillion/index.html
  • women and voting
John Derbyshire is not the first to say this about women and voting. Ann Coulter has said in both tv and in print over on World Net Daily that the massive growth in government started right after women started voting.

Neal may have a point on this.... Men cherish freedom and women cherish security. It goes back to the earlier days of hunter-gatherer... Men needed the freedom to go hunt the big game (hence freedom)... women had to take care of the home, (hence needing security from predators and enemies).

Some of this may have been passed on in the DNA which affects our thinking.

    Just a thought.

Now don't get me wrong. I would vote for a woman if she espoused my views.. Margaret Thatcher, Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter.

Moreover, I would not vote for a Barack Obama, John Kerry, or a Barney Frank.

Neal why don't you run... we need more Libertarians out there.
  • glen beck
    glen beck, a libertarian extraordinaire!!

watch this video and how Glenn Beck suggests liberalized medical marijuana is a tool of tyranny.

and he talking religion here too. sounds like a neocon to me, definitely NOT A LIBERTARIAN!!!

Skip to about the 4-minute mark.

he's complaining about lack of freedom, but wants to put marijuana users in jail. WTF???
  • Limit pay for athletes and celebutards
Aw shoot!!! why don't we limit pay for athletes and celebutards as well? Oops I forgot.. the majority of them contributed to Obama's campaign.

Seriously folks if this stuff keeps up, the brain drain will occur in the US. I have heard the brain drain called by other phrases such as "Going Galt".

These people( Corporate CEO's) will go to the BRIC countries as their business acumen will be welcome there.
  • If the BOA CEO gets his pay slashed for losing money...
then I'm thinking a 1.4 Trillion dollar loss warrants some pay cuts also, right?
  • Wah Wah
Brian Dolan is right. All you repugnicans are crybabies. You lost so now you need to kneel down before our lord Obamessiah.

Go back to your pedophilial movie directors...I mean Catholic priests and be good boys and girls and let us have our way. You guys are poopy heads and need to grow up and stop crying and calling people names.

Get over it you lost. We won, so give us what we want or we'll take our toys home with us.
  • executive pay cuts
I'm actually okay with this. The companies that came begging for money, should have known they were choosing to dance with the devil.
  • Coservative Paranoia
"The third-ranking Republican in the Senate says the Obama administration is launching a Richard Nixon-like political strategy of making an "enemies list" of people who disagree with the president."

More of the "their coming to get us" rhetoric we're seeing from conservatives. And they're even playing the martyrdom card as some have even implied that Obama is going to use violence against them.

If Obama was half the tyrant they claim he is, they would have already been gone and in prison somewhere. Instead they are still free to spread their hate and rhetoric.
  • John Kerry in Afghanistan
Of course only conservatives would want someone inexperienced at war like Bush to be in charge of troops rather than a war hero like John Kerry. The way the conservatives treated John Kerry at the 2004 election was 100% proof that they do not care about American soldiers or veterans
  • Silver lining in CEO pay cuts?
Maybe this will help encourage business leaders let the market rule rather than run to the government for everything. Sometimes, it feels business and fed relationship has gotten to cozy. Maybe now that its starting to bite them in the arse, they will return to being independent and truly market driven in their business practices. (Hoping its not too late for change)
