After the looters make their nationalized medicine a reality we are, of course, going to see the quality of care decline while the costs skyrocket. There is going to be a big push to reform the reform. Who knows? Maybe someone will come along and suggest some privatization. The looters, of course, will fight back ... hard. I can hear some of the lines in the radio and TV ads they'll run right now:

The Republicans want to take away your health care.

The Republicans believe that only the rich deserve health care.

Vote the Republicans, get the flu, die.

Republicans are dangerous to your health.

As your doctor if no health care is right for you

Hoping ... just hoping ... that with every day that passes just a few more Americans open their eyes to see what the real game is here. This is NOT about your healthcare. This is about CONTROLLING your health care. It is about controlling you. Nothing more.

    If you're going to continue to rant about how terrible government schools are (and rightly so), then for God's sake hire somebody to proofread your Nuze every day. Your misspellings and grammar errors only dilute your message. Intelligent, articulate people know how to spell correctly and properly structure a sentence. People write you off as being stupid.

    It's not that hard. Heck, I'll do it for you for $15 a day.

    Agree, agree. Either a business stands or fails on its own. No government help to "improve the standard of living" in the community. A truly free market would take care of the issues you have with the insurance cos as well.

    you're right. unfortunately the elitist bureaucrats ain't that dumb. the militarization of the police and the welfare payments to the rich sports teams owners to get their new arenas built, will work us in the long run.

    the average joe don't want to be maced especially when his favorite team is on the TV.

    the elitist bureaucrats don't play around, and they will use anything to keep in power. even something as welfare payments to the owners of sports teams.

    why don't the people who complain about people getting welfare, don't complain about sports teams getting welfare? is it because their gods didn't mention it?

Heading straight for the government take over of healthcare, insurers, doctors, nurses, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, research and development, mechanical machineries and equipment manufacturers, distributors, nursing homes, in home caregivers forced into unions, dentists, assistants, dental insurers and equipment. Moving right along to taking over our energy by capping our industries and trading more jobs away, while raising our taxes and energy bills to finance global welfare, wealth redistribution…..(I know redundant) using the lie of man made global warming and security risks.?????

    You forgot all the bonuses the government executives of fannie mae and freddie mac got....higher than private industry and the democrats wrote the bonuses into the stimulus package for the winners (as they deemed) to wall street moguls and bankers, as pay back for their campaign contributions for elections and the 8.5 billion stimulus package for Acorn.

    Do you think this is why the founders made sure the right to keep and bear arms was part of the Constitution? They knew, one day, the people would have to overthrow elitist bureaucrats (r's and d's Doc). A complete purge may be the only hope for this grand experiment.

    They won't have the means to pay, our currency is practically worthless, and the coming hyperinflation will make borrowing virtually impossible.

    In other words, we will have no choice BUT to privatize, as the soviets did when their socialist workers' paradise collapsed. How ironic that the socialist virus spread here after we defeated the Soviets.

  • Government gealth care or TARP - which is better?
    It sickens me to see $140 billion of our stolen taxpayer dollars going towards big fat bonuses to the employees and executives of Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Citigroup etc. They They and their excessive risk-taking played a large part in driving America into this major recession. Why didn't we do the "Capitalist" thing and let these banks fail? All we got for our TARP money was higher banking fees, closing HELOC accounts, and foreclosed properties. Absolutely nothing was done by goverment, or the banks to help the people who are now standing in unemployment lines or have no healthcare. And nothing was done to reform the banks and the way they operate.

    If it comes to wasting taxpayer money, I'll choose health care a hundred times before I choose to help private banks (or any private business) continue their greed using my money. At least the people get something in return. And we will have to pay the taxman, somehow, for the trillions wasted in TARP. It ain't gonna be the banks that pay.

  • R's only have themselves to blame.
    They only have themselves to blame. When the R's took back Congress in 1995, they had a good thing going with the Contract. Remember? How long did that last. They could have been the party for reducing government, farm welfare, bailouts, and reforming Social Security and Medicare. Instead soon after they took control, they got back to business of doing close to the same thing Congress was doing before. With the exception of some tax relief, welfare reform, and the War on Terror, the R's don't have much to show us these days and now can only be the party of 'NO'. How sad, this country is in dire shape and when the power was handed to the R's, they screwed it up.
