To suggest that it is people in opposition of an overreaching and tyrannical federal government who believe differently than the founding fathers speaks volumes. I consider myself to be one of the most open-minded and accepting people I know. I care not what color you are, what religion you practice, what gender you choose, and so on. I do care when laws and regulations are passed that inhibit my freedom of choice. If you disagree that more laws and regulations limit free choice then there really is nothing more that can be said. I see anyone, both Repulicans and Democrats, who uses the legislative process to promote a certain set of beliefs as not accepting the beliefs and rights of others. For the left it is social programs such as welfare, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid; and environmental issues. For the right it is social policy such as abortion, gay marriage, Blue laws, and drug prohibition. If you believe that every American should have affordable health care then you are more than welcome to donate your entire paycheck every year towards that cause. But again, to suggest that it is those who have differing views and oppose being forced to contribute to your moral convictions are the ones who do not accept others is hypocrisy, plain and simple.

He never really answers the question, but puts as many "important" words that people need to hear into the answer as possible - politics, healthcare, jobs, etc.

Then says what a tough young man the kid is.

He should have asked him what he was doing there, who put him up to asking this question, what did he learn in school today, what books has he read, what's your favorite subject, can he explain the pledge of allegiance, the Gettysburg Address, Star Spangled Banner, who is the vice president.
