Let's face it. Friday was not a good day not to be on the air. But who knew that these five leftists Norwegian Arctic Circle Moonbats were going to hand the Nobel Peace Prize to Barack Obama?

For what? For not being George Bush, that's what!

Hopefully you weren't all that surprised.

Since I wasn't here Friday, let's re-post some of the comments I emailed back to the Web Wench from Texas ... and then add to those thoughts.

First - you have to come up with a definition of "peace." There's a Nobel Prize for physics and one for medicine too. In virtually every culture and every country in the world you define "physics" and "medicine" pretty much the same way. That's not the way its done for "peace." During the post World-War II the Soviet Union defined "peace' as "an absence of opposition to world Communism." As long as nobody was challenging their communist expansionism they felt we were all at peace. Let some country; like the evil United States for instance, challenge their plans for world domination and ... no more peace.

For me any definition of "peace" must have a component dedicated to freedom. You can, after all, live a life of peace in a jail cell, so long as there isn't someone there to stir things up. You're not free, but peace reigns. Web Guy forwarded some emails to me over the weekend that disagreed. These people said freedom was not a proper component of peace. Well ... see what I mean? There are perhaps as many different definitions as there are definers. I'm not at peace if I'm not free. Simple as that.

Now ... to Obama and the Peace Prize. I take you back again to that Pew Research poll conducted in Europe last year. Almost 60% of Europeans who responded to the poll wanted America to be less powerful in world affairs. That's not an uncommon sentiment over there ... not uncommon right up until the Germans or Russians come marching across a border.

So ... here we have these five Norwegian politicians; The Nobel committee. Can we reasonably assume that this committee reflects much of the European attitude? I mean, they're not exactly headquartered in Boise. They look at the nominations before them, and there's PrezBO! Now what has Obama done in the past nine or so months? Why, he's given the Euro-weenies just exactly what they wanted! Now we have a United States with a weaker presence in world affairs! Russia and China are striving for military domination. Obama backs off the American promise of a shield against Iran's missiles for Eastern Europe. Putin says "frog" and Obama jumps. Putin says "jump" and Obama asks "how high?" Then we have the Arab states reportedly working to replace the dollar as the petroleum trading currency. And last week there are suggestions that Obama is just going to declare that the Taliban are too entrenched in Afghanistan for us to possibly prevail there - a prelude to a cut and run. Does any of this sound like a projection of strength? Of course not. America is projecting feel-good, hopey-changey weakness at every turn; and this is exactly what Europe wanted.

So last week they delivered a message to Obama. Europe likes your style. You're giving us exactly what we wanted --- what we asked for. You're weakening the United States; for us, the key to peace.

Oh ... and don't forget the slap in the face for George Bush. Bush is in office for eight years. He responds strongly to the attacks from terrorist Muslims. He frees Iraq from a ruthless dictator and his rapist sons. He projects American strength .. and Europe hates him for it. So ... the Nobel committee comes along and delivers a slapdown.

For those who define peace as an living free of threats to your natural right to be free ... this just isn't your day, is it?

Well ... at least this will give Newsweek a reason to put Obama on the cover again.

But wait! There's more! If you act now ..........

With all that being said ... in case you are not aware, criticizing Barack Obama for winning the Nobel Peace prize makes you a terrorist. Seriously, folks. That comes from the DNC communications director Brad Woodhouse. He said, "The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists - the Taliban and Hamas this morning - in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize ... Republicans cheered when America failed to land the Olympics and now they are criticizing the President of the United States for receiving the Nobel Peace prize - an award he did not seek but that is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride - unless of course you are the Republican Party." There's more to his rant. Woodhouse says, "The 2009 version of the Republican Party has no boundaries, has no shame and has proved that they will put politics above patriotism at every turn. It's no wonder only 20 percent of Americans admit to being Republicans anymore - it's an embarrassing label to claim." By "the 2009 version of the Republican Party," I assume that he is referring to the Tea Party protesters. It is "that" type of Republican that has the Democrat boxers in a bunch.

Now we get it, don't we? If you aren't fawning over our new Nobel Peace Prize winner you're in the same bed with Islamic goons who kill innocents in Israel by lobbing rockets their way, and you're supportive of the Taliban's brutal efforts in Afghanistan. That's where political discourse has brought us today.

Hillary's state department also took the time to take a swipe at George W. Bush in the wake of Obama winning the Peace prize. Assistant Secretary PJ Crowley said, "Certainly from our standpoint, this gives us a sense of momentum -- when the United States has accolades tossed its way, rather than shoes."

One thing for certain: If the Nobel Peace Prize wasn't all-but discredited when it was awarded to Yasser Arafat, this ought to do it.

And the award next year goes to .... TA DA!!!! ..... Barack Obama! Oh, we know he hasn't made a movie yet. But he's going to, and it's going to be just stupendous! So we might as well get the award out of the way right now.

Please be advised that all of the foregoing comments about President Barack Obama (PBUH) and the Nobel Peace Prize were written and/or uttered by a white dude. Obama is black. The remarks were negative in nature. Therefore, they were prima facie racist. Praise be unto thee Barack Obama.

HOW TO ARGUE WITH A GLOBAL WARMER

The answer is easy ... you don't. And we learn this lesson from none other than the grandfather of the global warming scam himself: OwlGore. He was at an event recently where, for some very unusual reason, he agreed to take questions from reporters. But ... uh oh ... somebody dared to challenge Gore. So what's the logical solution? Turn off the mic! Turn off the mic before Gore starts sputtering and his eyes roll back into his head. What's the matter with you people! You don't challenge the Great and Powerful Gore when it comes to global warming! Don't you realize he won the Nobel Peace Prize? Oh wait ... so did Obama. But never mind! Sometimes the prize actually means something! So pipe down with your questions and criticisms. Save them for anyone who opposes Gore, not for people who support him or the Great Gore himself

Betcha that will be the last time he takes questions. Maybe not for another four years.

What's really going on with Gore?

OK ... think about this. Al Gore was Bill Clinton's dog-washer for eight years. He hardly distinguished as vice president. His tenure started out with him at Mt. Vernon looking at a bust of Thomas Jefferson and asking a tour guide "Who is this guy?" Things went downhill from there. Now Gore has found his place in the world. He got on the phony global warming scam and made it his own. He made a movie and got an Academy Award. The Norwegian Moonbats gave him the prize. Global warming is Al Gore's life. It's his entire reason to exist. Every ounce of power, pride, respect and credibility Gore has is tied up in his endeavors surrounding global warming ... or, as we call it since the Earth started to cool down ... climate change. When someone picks up a microphone and starts to challenge The Great and Powerful Gore on his home turf that person has to be shut down --- or turned off. Gore knows that the whole global warming bit is a fraud, but he cannot turn it loose. To abandon the global warming cause is to erase himself from history. He ain't going there.

WHEN IN DOUBT, TAX THE EVIL PROFITS

Democrats in the House know that they can't tax Cadillac insurance plans because the unions have those Cadillac insurance plans. Just what do you think you have been paying for every time you buy an American-made automobile! That means the unions don't particularly like this Democrat idea ... and if the unions don't like it, the idea is all but dead. Democrats would throw kittens into chipper-shredders before they would ever do anything to really upset their precious unions. So now, Princess Nancy and her minions are scrounging to find other ideas to generate revenue. The latest one in the works is a windfall tax on insurance company profits. There you go ... a "windfall tax." Whenever the looters want to legitimize an extra tax on a private sector business they just say "windfall" and their myrmidons fall right into place. After all ... don't we all truly understand that anything not-government is intrinsically evil? And don't we all know that the very quest for profit is a pure and evil manifestation of greed? Let's face it; this money doesn't belong to these businesses anyway, it belongs to the people! Money to the people! So it's perfectly logical to seize it to take care of the people's health care.

Nancy says that the idea is in its very early stages, but it is definitely being considered. That's bull. When it comes to seizing money from the private sector, no Democrat idea is in the early stages. This is a staple of looter politics. Princess Pelosi says, "I believe that all of the participants, whether it is insurance companies or the pharmaceutical industry, have much more they can put on the table to help reduce cost and take us in a downward direction in terms of spending on this health care bill." Well isn't that special? Nancy Pelosi believes that these private companies have more money to put on the table, therefore she will use the force of government to make sure they do so? That's what our imperial federal government has come to.

This is just part of the Democrat plan to demonize the private health insurance companies. Later this week, House looters have called for health insurance executives to testify before Congress to "defend their business practices."

By the way, this week is a big week for healthcare legislation in the Senate. The Senate Finance Committee is going to take a final vote on the Baucus healthcare bill and then send it to the full chamber.

The fun never stops.

HOW MUCH POWER IS TOO MUCH?

There is yet another battle brewing in Washington over the scope of federal powers. Along with healthcare and climate change, financial reform is another item on the Democrat "to do" list. This week the House Financial Services Committee is set to mark up legislation that would create a new federal Consumer Financial Protection Agency. This would be an agency in charge of regulating products; anything from credit cards to home loans.

The big question on everyone's mind is: how much power should be given to this new agency? To be even more specific: should the new federal agency have the authority to preempt state and local authorities?

As of right now, the legislation sets a minimum federal standard and would allow state officials to pursue stricter regulations. However, lobbyists are advocating allowing federal officials to preempt state laws.

By the way ... what do you call a system of government where the financial sector and the means of production are privately owned, but controlled by government? Look it up. Do your research. If I remember .. and you don't already know ... the answer tomorrow.

Iconography? What's that? Well ... you really need to click here to figure it out. Seriously ... watch this before you do anything else today. It is very very good. Now ... where do I get one of those LOL bumper stickers? (You gotta watch the whole thing). Well ... I did the research for you. You get it right here.

It's bad enough when your enemies slam you for this Nobel Peace Prize thing ... but when your friends join in ?

Job creation. Here's a "how to" from The Wall Street Journal.

Back to Al Gore and his global warming pudding. Here we have the climate correspondent for the BBC telling us that for the past 11 years the Earth has not seen any increase in global temperatures.

A must-read from the Wall Street Journal: Even people with good insurance will risk fines if mandatory insurance becomes the national law.

Peggy Noonan says that Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize "for not being George W. Bush."

The brilliant Mark Steyn wants to know ... now that Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize, what's next? The Miss World contest?

FYI ... here is a list of the people who did not win the Nobel Peace Prize because it was awarded to Barack Obama.

The next big shoe to drop could be the Federal Housing Authority. Don't make me say "I told you so."

Look like John Kerry has won over at least one Republican on his climate change legislation: South Carolina's Lindsey Graham.

The CBO estimates that we could save $41 billion in taxpayer money over the next ten years if we enacted tort reform.

America doesn't like pushovers ... especially pushover presidents.

Here's the way politicians can claim "victory" for legislation: "Narrow your differences by broadening the definition of what constitutes success."

If you can't read the darn thing, how do you expect the American people to trust you that they are not getting screwed? The truth is, when it comes to this healthcare bill ... they don't trust the lawyer-speak anymore.

Your tax dollars at work: $96 million to move wild horses across the country.

The Democrats are now targeting women in their bid to generate support for a government takeover of healthcare.

How is federal healthcare legislation going to affect state budgets? Minnesota is one state that is worried.

A researcher from a top nuclear lab in Europe was arrested for having links to al Qaeda.

Top economists are saying that unemployment may peak at 10.5%.

Coming soon to this country .... a media bill to limit ownership. At least, that is what they are doing in Argentina.

Senator Jim DeMint explains the latest from Honduras.

This Seattle columnist wants federal tax breaks ...... for renters.

A sting in Detroit uncovers food stamps being used as leverage for alcohol and Viagra.

It looks like it is Rush vs. the unions in his bid to purchase the St. Louis Rams.

Your government at work.
