"When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that justifies it."

CHARLIE RANGEL GETS A PASS

What part of this surprises any of you?

We have a tax cheat writing our tax laws. That's right ... Charlie Rangel is a tax evader. A tax cheat. And yet the Democrats successfully killed a resolution that would have removed him as Chairman of the House Ways and Means committee. Remember, only Republicans can be corrupt. Democrats? Theirs is a culture of caring ... right?

For those of you who are government educated - all tax bill originate in the House. Charlie Rangel is the chairman of the committee in charge of drafting tax legislation. While writing the tax laws that govern you this clown has done a good job of avoiding the law for his personal finances. Here are just some examples:

1) Failure to report over $1 million in outside income and $3 million in business transactions as required by the House,

2) Failure to disclose at least $650,000 in assets he had previously failed to list on his House financial disclosure forms,

3) Failure to disclose to the IRS or on his financial disclosure forms $75,000 in rental income for a beach villa in the Dominican Republic,

4) Violation of state laws by claiming three primary residences and breaking New York City regulations by maintaining four rent-controlled apartments,

5) Violation of House rules by using congressional letterhead to solicit donations for an education center bearing his name at City College of New York, and

6) Delinquency in paying his property taxes on two New Jersey parcels and failure to report the sale of a $1.3 million brownstone.

This is a man who clearly believes that he's part of some special class - perhaps a class of one - that to which the laws of this country simply do not apply. All that, and all the arrogance you would ever need.

We also have brain-dead members of Congress who came to his defense. Maxine Waters says that "many members" of Congress suffer from the same issues as Charlie Rangel. What affliction is that? The inability to follow the law? We get punished for that stuff ... why not Rangel? The Republicans want to remove the guy as chairman, but the Democrats vote against it. Now THAT is transparency. THAT is change you can believe in!

By the way, if you want to know what good Charlie Rangel is doing in Congress, just check out the $3 million earmark he snuck into a bill for a city college, which has an academic department created by and named after Charlie Rangel!

SPEAKING OF CROSS-DRESSERS...

It's sweet, sweet justice that these thugs got their asses kicked by a dude in a skirt.

Now that the Congressional Budget Office has come up with its cost analysis the Senate is going to move forward with healthcare legislation, As if this Democrat healthcare bill wasn't bad enough, now we have this to look forward to ..... Senator Carl Levin says that he is going to offer an amendment to the healthcare bill when it reaches the Senate floor. Oh goodie! An amendment! My guess is it will have nothing whatsoever to do with health care. Am I right? Oh yeah! Senator Combover's amendments is a stealth attack of the Stop Tax Haven Abuse Act. This would essentially increase tax penalties for companies failing to disclose offshore holdings and ban tax avoidance scams. Yeah ... you hide your best silver from the looters and you get punished for it.

Do you remember Sheriff Joe? Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County out in Arizona. He has been dubbed America's Sheriff. He has tent city and all that nonsense. Anyway, Sheriff Joe has been doing what the federal government fails to do when it comes to illegal aliens. And now, the federal government wants to make sure it doesn't happen anymore. Yep. The Department of Homeland Security has stripped Sheriff Joe of his authority to arrest illegal aliens solely based on the fact that they are in this country illegally. But, God love him, he says that he is going to continue doing it anyway.

And then we have Janet Napolitano ... clearly Barack Obama had a brain-fart when nominating her as head of Homeland Security. She announced this week plans to remove illegal aliens from prison and put them into converted hotels or nursing homes. It's being called "Alternatives to Detention" and includes the hotel option as well as actually releasing some illegal aliens and merely have them supervised by the government.

This is all a lead-in to complete amnesty for every illegal in this country right now - that is unless the congress can figure out a way to exclude illegals from European countries. That's not all though. As soon as they're legalized the looters will find a way to turn them into voters. Looter voters.

50 EXAMPLES OF GOVERNMENT WASTE

For those of you who are completely fed up with the outrageous spending by our imperial federal government .... You might wanna wait to drink your coffee before you read this one. The Heritage Foundation has come up with a list of 50 examples of government waste. I picked out a few little gems, but here's where you can get the full list.

- The refusal of many federal employees to fly coach costs taxpayers $146 million annually in flight upgrades.

- Despite trillion-dollar deficits, last year's 10,160 earmarks included $200,000 for a tattoo removal program in Mission Hills, California; $190,000 for the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming; and $75,000 for the Totally Teen Zone in Albany, Georgia.

- The federal government owns more than 50,000 vacant homes.

- Auditors discovered that 900,000 of the 2.5 million recipients of emergency Katrina assistance provided false names, addresses, or Social Security numbers or submitted multiple applications.

- Congress recently gave Alaska Airlines $500,000 to paint a Chinook salmon on a Boeing 737.

Jamie Dupree also has an entertaining list of earmarks for agricultural programs. These are your tax dollars, ladies and gentlemen.

Well ... YOU consider them to be your dollars. Politicians don't look at it that way. This sounds a bit radical ... but trust me on this one. These looters in Washington consider every single penny of your wealth to be theirs. You, in fact, belong to them. You are allowed to work so you will produce. And you are allowed to produce so that you can fund government. In order to keep you producing the government has to keep you calmed down by allowing you to keep some of the wealth you produce. Here's where the balancing act comes in. Day after day; session after session; these so-called "public servants" are diligently working on finding just the right balance. How much earned wealth do they have to allow you to keep before you slide into open revolt? Are they pushing your limits yet? Just wait for the VAT!

Been a while since Web Guy picked out a super-brilliant email for us to feature in the Nuze. Finally he found one. No surprise that it came from Austin, Texas. This guy is probably a 'sip.

Name: Steve
City: austin
Subject:VAT TAX

Gee Neil -

Why are you crying about the VAT Tax?

Who's going to pay for the couple trillion that BUSH, Cheney & the Gopers borrowed from the Commies in China for your IRAQ WAR?

Who's going to Pay for the Hundreds of Billions that Bush, Cheney and the Gopers gave to Halliburton, KBR and Blackwater?

How's going to Pay for the Trillions of added deficit spending from Bush, Cheney and the Gopers?

You are the definition of a political hack.

You would never dare to answer me or address that on your hair-brained radio show- so think about. Stop being a shallow nim-rod cry baby.

Gotta love it.

The dollar is falling. Gold is rising. Didn't we pass a stimulus plan to stop all of this? These folks that are running our dollar down; don't they know those dollars are propping up a puppet theatre in Atlanta? And is this all Obama's Fault?

So ... how big is the budget deficit for 2009 .. so far? Well, if we can drag you away from your People Magazine and Entertainment Tonight long enough to give this a second though ... here's your total. It's $1.6 trillion. Worry not, dear listeners. You won't have to pay this back. Your children will.

The Congressional Budget Office estimates that Max Baucus' healthcare bill will cost $829 billion over 10 years. How many of you actually believe that that will be the real cost of this healthcare plan?

Is the Republican Party winning the health care debate? One thing for sure; if the Obama Myrmidon Media would give GOP reform ideas some coverage the Republicans would run away with it. Ain't going to happen though.

Remember that story I shared with you about America's growing popularity abroad? Read this by Victor Davis Hanson, and then let us know what you think.

So how are the Democrats going to get this healthcare bill through the Senate? It is likely that Harry Reid may make the healthcare bill an amendment to an unrelated tax bill that passed the House in the spring.

Thanks to pressure from the labor unions, 150 Democrats are urging Nancy Pelosi to nix any plans to tax "Cadillac" insurance plans.

Barack Obama has received an official request from Afghanistan: we need more troops.

Lawmakers have apparently reached an agreement that would allow the Obama administration to bring terrorism suspects from Gitmo to the United States to face trial.

Senator James Inhofe says that Barbara Boxer is using "corporate prostitutes" to "intimidate" Congress into passing climate change legislation.

The earliest snow day on the books in Idaho. Must be all that global warming!

The government experienced a massive drop in revenue due to the economy, which can only mean one thing: tax increases are coming.

I love it. The liberal moonbats have their boxers in a bunch because Barack Obama isn't liberal enough for them.

Barack Obama is going to keep a permanent White House Office of the Olympics, in order to help U.S. cities bid on and host the Olympics.

An awkward moment between Harry and Nancy.

The work ethic of our Congress knows no bounds ......

Here's a video of some school kids doing a song and dance about healthcare reform on CNN.

Obama has enlisted Hollywood to help him press Congress on healthcare reform.

Indiana is spending $132 million of stimulus money (your tax dollars) to weatherize homes for poor people.

An appeals court in Indiana has ruled that blubberbutts are eligible for obesity surgery under workers' compensation policy.

Well I could have told you this one ..... for you men out there: If you want to enjoy a long life, marry a highly educated woman.

One nation under God?

How 'bout the fact that the "global warming" crap has been repeatedly debunked not just by sane, reputable, non-government sponsored scientists, but nature itself.

  • Snow and Global Warming
Neal seems to be confusing the date of first snowfall and the record low temperatures. Neither Chicago or Idaho are seeing days of record cold. They may however be seeing record early snowfall... although just barely.

Also, remember your high school statistics and realize that single cases do not equal an overall trend, either temporally or spacially... A key error made by global warming skeptics.
