"When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that justifies it."

I've been telling you for a while now that the Value Added Tax (VAT) was a distinct possibility. Just last week I linked to an article outlining all of the signs that pointed to the fact that the VAT is coming.

So here it is. Princess Nancy has now asserted that a VAT is "on the table." And what table might that be? The table at which the people who have the power to change our tax code .. that's what table. So you certainly don't want to lose any sleep over this. There's looters at the table and producers propping it up. Then there's the moochers who are more than ready to give their loyalty to the looters. Where does that put you?

Soon the Democrats will realize what happens when you cut the legs out from under them. Why is that? Because the VAT would be in ADDITION to all of our current taxes. It's not reform, it's just more taxes (with some minor adjustments). We are not talking about an overhaul like the FairTax would achieve - complete abolishment of our current tax system. We are talking about MORE taxes.

But somehow, we are supposed to magically believe that this would not increase taxes on the middle class. At least, that is what Princess Nancy promises. Remember, though ... it's all in the meaning of the word "tax." If it was at one point in your pocket, and it then, without coercion and without your consent, ends of in the hands of government, it's a tax.

Hey! I think I just came up with a new definition of "tax!" Let's try to refine it:

"Money or property owned by a private entity that is transferred by force to the government."

I'm sure Obama would love it!

HERE COME THE SALARY CUTS

It is sad that government involvement in executive compensation has become such a normal concept. Two years ago, if an article like this had been written, I would have been spitting nails. And I am sure a lot of you would be doing the same. Now, I am still spitting nails, but there is not much I can do about it, is there? Not with the Democrats and Barack Obama in the driver seat.

The White House is working on its plans to rein in executive compensation. It will start with the firms receiving the largest sums of taxpayer money - AIG, Bank of America, Citigroup, General Motors, GMAC Financial Services, Chrysler LLC and Chrysler Financial. The plan is as follows ... instead of being compensated with cash salaries, the government has decided to shift top employees' annual salaries into stocks that cannot be accessed for many years. This move is being described as "the most intrusive yet into corporate compensation." And trust me folks, this is just the beginning.

Remember ... the looters believe that all wealth belongs to them. They, and only they get to decide how the wealth is distributed .. and that includes how much we can earn for what we do.

BILL AYERS CONFIRMS

Since the campaign I had my doubts about the authenticity of Barack Obama's book Dreams from my Father. Like many, I suspected that the book was not written by Barack Obama but by one moonbat terrorist named Bill Ayers.

Well apparently Bill Ayers has admitted this to be true - he did write Obama's Dreams from my Father. At least, that is what he has told conservative Chicago blogger Anne Leary. She can tell you more of her run-in with Bill Ayers in DC.

As this story develops it will be completely ignored by the Obama Myrmidon Media (OMM) ... resulting eventually in embarrassment.

... but you still expect the government to control the costs of your healthcare? According to Medicare's own auditors, it overpays for almost everything it buys. And it does so knowingly. FoxNews has some examples:

-- $7,215 to rent an oxygen concentrator, when the purchase price is $600.

-- $4,018 for a standard wheelchair, while the private sector pays $1,048.

-- $1,825 for a hospital bed, compared to an Internet price of $1,071.

-- $3,335 for a respiratory pump, versus an advertised price of $1,987.

-- $82 for a diabetic supply kit, instead of a $47 price on the Web.

So last year (under the Bush administration) the Health and Human Services Department determined that Medicare could save $1 billion in a single year nationwide, if it replaced its fixed-price fee schedule with a competitive bidding program.

But here's where Congress comes in. Congressmen Fortney "Pete" Stark and Dave Camp introduced legislation that essentially killed any chances of these changes coming to pass. So the competitive bidding programs were deferred. End of story.

And you don't think these kinds of shenanigans and politics won't happen every day when the government gets a hold of your healthcare?

One of the things I've been telling you worries me the most about the menacing mob we now have controlling our federal government is my suspicion that they will move at some time to seize all pension and retirement plans out there. We're talking trillions of dollars. Here's an article from Reuters that discusses the $10 trillion in assets that the "newly retired" are going to be manipulating once they leave their jobs. Trust me when I tell you that when some of the political class in Washington reads this they will be telling themselves that it is government, not free individuals, who should be manipulating this cash. It is the job of the politicians, not a few greedy individuals, who need to decide how this money is to be invested ... not to mention distributed. After all ... it's only fair, right? Everyone ought to have an equal amount of stuff.

It's coming. I can smell it.

Since Nancy Pelosi and the looters are so enamored of the idea of a VAT .. perhaps you need to read this. This ought to really get our economy going, right? Another level of taxes for you to pay.

Handing out cash to urban outdoorsmen; Stimulus cash; YOUR cash. Oh yeah, I can just see how this is going to get our economy going. The only thing they should hand out to the "homeless" in Detroit is bus tickets or bicycles.

A taxpayer funded research unit on global warming destroys all of its original climate data that supposedly supports warming temperatures. Gee, I wonder why ... maybe because the earth has actually been COOLING for the last ten years?

Government hacks doing what they do best .... complaints have surfaced that South Carolina Congressman James Clyburn is putting pressure on the Department of Energy that stimulus funds he acquired should benefit his interests.

ACORN asserts that it will survive without funding from the taxpayers.

Speaking of ACORN, how close is ACORN to one of our favorite unions, the SEIU? Too close for comfort. In fact, let's hope the SEIU is using a condom.

One more on ACORN ... CEO Bertha Lewis has put the racial chip back on her shoulder, claiming that ACORN opponents are racist. Does anyone really care any more when someone starts screaming that word?

Is conservatism today becoming nothing more than opposition to Obama?

What could you buy in a year with the money the government is going to take from you in order to fulfill its cap-and-tax, global warming schemes?

Here's a list of five things that Republicans in Washington DC need to understand.

House Republicans are having second thoughts about formally reprimanding Florida Congressman Alan Grayson for his comments about healthcare. This man is seriously lacking some marbles.

The Medicare denial rate is roughly 1.7 times that of all of the private carriers combined.

Remember how Obama had his little photo op the other day with a bunch of doctors? Turns out that three out of every four of those doctors donated to the Obama campaign.

So when is our FCC Diversity Czar Mark Lloyd going to appear before Congress for questioning? Fat chance. Remember, this is the Obama menace that applauds Hugo Chaves as he seizes control of and shuts down radio and TV stations.

Congressional leaders are fighting tooth and nail to make sure that you, the American taxpayers, can't get your grubby little hands on the healthcare bill before it is voted on in Congress.

Obama wants longer school years, but the teachers unions have a much different agenda.

We may have another radical appointee in the Obama White House ... Kevin Jennings, head of the Education Department's Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools.

President Obama has introduced new detention standards for illegal immigrants in this country.

It looks like Chrysler, despite the taxpayers' efforts, may not make it another year.

According to reports from Pakistan, "profiling" is what caused Chicago to lose its 2016 Olympic bid.

The White House asks Republicans to speak out on behalf of healthcare reform, then issues a statement saying, "See! Look how bipartisan this plan is!"

Remember ... ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES. Where will your attention be in November of 2010?
