Well .. who didn't see that coming? One of the first calls out of the box today was our leftist friend Thomas. He blamed the hanging of that census worker in Kentucky on ... guess who? Why Republicans, of course!

The chanting schoolchildren? You'll see the link below in the Nuze. We've identified the school. It is the B. Bernice Johnson Elementary School in Burlington, New Jersey. Ohhhh ... notice that the link is there? Maybe you might like to log on and see if you can send Dr. Denise King, the principal of this particular indoctrination center, a nice, polite email.

Intentionally misspell a word? Yup, that's the word we get from our Washington correspondent Jamie Dupree. Jamie was talking with a fellow reporter on his way into the Capitol today when an employee of the congress joined in. Can't remember just what office Jamie said this person works in, but it deals with drafting legislation. Anyway ... she revealed to Jamie that sometimes when she's preparing the legislation to be printed and uploaded to the Internet she is asked to intentionally misspell words. Why? So that those words - key words - won't be found when someone uses a search engine to figure out what this legislation is and is not doing. Wunnerful; just wunnerful. Anyone surprised?

I I I me me me. Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center reports on some extraordinary research done by a colleague. Bozell points out that when Reagan was president he would almost always speak in the 3rd person. He would use words like "we" and "our." Obama is a horse of a different color. In 41 major speeches PrezBO has delivered since he was inaugurated he has used the word "I" or "me" 1,198 times. Our Dear Leader is quite impressed with himself. Here's a link to a fun story on this.

Question I asked on the air: Would it be over-stating the case to say that next year's mid-term election might well be our last chance to save the Republic?

What others are saying

  • @Snarky
Snarky, see my comments under the article "AMMO FOR YOUR LIBERAL FRIENDS."

America is still here, and still fairly strong...but has been getting weaker by the day for the past 50 years or so thanks mostly (but not entirely) to democrats.
  • retwisted
You said 'It's like they live in some sort of fantasy land."

    really?

so, america isn't strong? or still here?

please tell me how that is?
  • @Snarky
"we're still here joyce...and still very, very strong."

Ignorance is bliss. I never ceases to amaze me how blind liberals are to what's going on around them. It's like they live in some sort of fantasy land.
  • @East Coast Conservative
The problem with having more than 2 parties is that hardly anyone will ever get elected with 50% or more of the popular vote. So no matter who gains office, more than half the country will not like it.
  • NO NO NO
I agree with Neal Boortz, and Hannity, and Rush, and Savage, and Beck, and O'reilly follow the GOP: Personal responsibility, neighbor helping neighbor, pull yourself up by your own bootstraps, charities, churches, kindness of strangers, local and state only, no taxdollars from out of state taken by force to help us, say NO to Washington DC, we don't need nor want nor will we except and take Obamadollars, no big federal government stuff down here, we want out of the union, secession now secession forever.
  • To Grammar Police
What's wrong from talking in the third person? Jimmy does it all the time.
  • B. Bernice Young (not Johnson) Elementary
Clicked on your link and my my my what did my eyes see?

    The page cannot be displayed

You have the right link too. Wonder why the link is down? Maybe it crashed because so many people want the words to the songs.
  • The link to the school page is no longer working. Gee, I wonder why?
  • @Joyce
I agree with you Joyce. Obama won because the R's had such a lame candidate, and the R in office last year sooo sacrificed his conservative principles that people either stayed home or voted for Barr.
If in 2010 Republicans take over and start the same crap they did when they were in control the last few years, then I'm not sure if this republic is worth saving, to be honest.
Remember the Contract back in '94? How long did it take for the R's to kick that to the curb? About 4 nanoseconds. I am afraid when Wall Street comes calling for a welfare check, the R's, especially in the Senate, will have a hard time saying 'NO'. Same for farmers, auto-workers, and yes... (flood) disaster victims.
  • rejoyce
You said "Or if we lose, it's to hell in a handbasket."

I mean - wow!... you think an awful lot of Obama and yourselves, don't you?

Tell ya what - how's about you go take three or four history courses to see where we've been before you think this great country could ever go "to hell in a handbasket" because of any one president or congress....truly.

we're still here joyce...and still very, very strong.

take one of ivan's pills and breathe.
  • Interesting idea!
    Elections
perhaps it would be better to elect our presidents the way the constitution laid out to begin with.

Instead of 2 candiates from opposing parties, let a half a dozen qualified candidates run and whoever gets a majority of electoral voytes wins and the runner up is Vice President.

Worked for Washington/Adams and Adams/Jeffereson, could work again.
    By East Coast Conservative

Would keep any one party from being in control!
  • For all we know acorn killed that census worker.
Transparent and accountable, that’s what hussein’s change isn’t. I’ve had trouble finding official text of bills and thought it was just me, guess I’m not jaded and paranoid enough towards DC.

President Reagan had class and respect for his office, hussein has neither. He had so much respect, he was never without a tie in the Oval Office.

I think it may be too late already for what’s left of the Republic. If it is though, it won’t be because I ever gave up. Go down swingin’.
  • This is not what anyone with brains voted for
Obama won not because people were voting FOR him but because they were voting AGAINST McCain and the failed so-called Republicans.

The moderates are now regretting their choice. 2010 will see Congress enabled to put a halt to this spend spend spend un-constitutional arrogant corrupt aberration.

Or if we lose, it's to hell in a handbasket.

  • Saving our Republic
Absolutely correct. What conservatives and Reagan Democrats have observed from this communist administration is the onslaught that Bush starved off. We forgot. We punished Bush for doing his job. We hated the fact that he kept on giving to the liberals and acting like a rino. We forgot that the president of these united states is the president over all....liberals included though they did not vote for them (conservatives). Unlike the scumbag in chief now that presides over marxist and communist in our country only. 2010 will be glorious. The wonderful thing about libs is their abortion and homosexual policies will result in their extinction. So, let them by all means.
    Creek Woman
  • Is the Republic Doomed?
I certainly hope we can start a turnaround on 11/04/2010. But I am becoming increasing worried that the only way these political differences will be solved is the way it was done back in the 1860’s when we had some irreconcilable differences. Only this time instead of one group of states against another it will be more along the lines of rural and suburban areas against urban areas.
  • Last chance?
I'm not so sure the next mid term elections is our LAST chance.......
  • Saving the republic
"Question I asked on the air: Would it be over-stating the case to say that next year's mid-term election might well be our last chance to save the Republic?"

We voted to save the Republic in 2008 when we said NO to four more years of Cheney/Bush failed policies and incompetance. I hope that as a nation in 2010 we have more sense than to turn back to those failed years.

And I also must denouce any campaign against the principal of a school who has done nothing wrong. This little show is doing nothing but creating interest in our President, government, and history among our youth
  • irony
the irony here is you consider victory simply gaining republican seats in congress.

were you not paying attention the last 8 years??

If that's your idea of winning, you need help.
  • Grammar Police
Neal, "We" and "us" are NOT the third person. it is the first person plural.

Wrestlers and self-important sports stars talk in the third person, e.g., "The Macho Man is gonna rough you up" or "Bring your popcorn cuz TO (Terrell Owens to you sports illiterates) is gonna do something spectacular."
  • @I I I me me me
At least he doesn't call himself The Decider.
  • About your question
Yes, I think the next election will be our last chance.

If we lose; one of two things may happen. Some may give up and move to a different country (Atlas shrugged style) or some may go completely crazy and act like a wild animal that has been cornered.

The sad part is I don't know how to define a victory in the next election. Is a victory, gaining ground in congress (either branch) or is a victory taking over either branch of congress.
  • Question asked on air
You most definitely would not be over-stating the case that next year's mid-term election might well be our last chance to save our Republic. Anyone and everyone who cares about our Constitutional Republic should be shouting this from the rooftops. If we don't push aside these liberals, we are doomed.
  • hahahahahahahahahaha.......
oh neal you did it a'gin.........cracked me up........almost had a heart attack......laffed so hard.......

    HORSE OF.......hahahahahahahaha....A DIFFERENT...hahahahahahahahaha........COLOR...........you racist.........hahahahahaha.......
