THE TRUTH ABOUT CAP-AND-TRADE

Assuming that the healthcare debate would overshadow this piece of news, the Obama administration came to a startling conclusion about its cap-and-trade plan. It has concluded that this cap-and-tax scheme ... which has NOTHING to do with global warming ... would cost taxpayers $200 billion a year.

Read that again: this bill would cost you, the taxpayers, $200 billion a year.

That breaks down to an additional cost per American household of $1,761 a year.

That is the equivalent of raising personal income taxes by 15% (for the producers who actually pay income taxes).

Are you prepared to shoulder the burden to pay for this ponzi scheme?

  • Scam
If the Kenyan ba$tard (by definition) himself says that it will cost $200M while he is actually trying to sell this to Americans, then only god knows how much it will truly cost. This estimate is coming from a pathological liar who said that the HC reform "won't add one dime to the deficit". As usual, though, his plan is to seize more money from hardworking people and give that money in form of subsidies to the poooooooooooor and lessssssss fortunate to pay for their increased costs. Because you can't have that ol' welfare queen sitting in her taxpayer- funded house being uncomfortably cold watching her 65" flat screen TV in the winter time.
  • Step!
    next big tax
I'm waiting for Obama to hit us with the obesity tax. You know he wants it bad, but he also knows it will be his undoing.

Imagine a Big Mac combo costing $10. Think of the repurcussions. Instead of tea party protests, it'll be about junk food....whole families of fat slobs carrying signs, chocolate smeared across their mouths, hotdog-eating competitions in front of the White House, loud arguments with healthy pro-fat tax supporters......pure bedlam.

Quit talking about the liberal bloggers like that!
  • That $200 billion is more wishful thinking from hussein.
That was a hussein administration estimate, which I bet doesn’t account for economic growth that doesn’t occur (and the revenue they don’t collect) because of the higher price of energy, and the fact that its’ price effects the price of everything. I say $400 billion minimum, and most likely somewhere between $800 billion to $1.5 trillion.

If passed, cap and tax scam will cripple the economy and ensure a permanent recession until gutted or rescinded. The good news is, if the dp can’t peddle their health care takeover, they aren’t likely to snooker enough people to pass this scam.
  • where are they????????
JIM SMITH...........you got virgins????? oh man keep them away from Ivan..........he's wound up real tight and got into my lil' blue pills........oh crap....he's out in the field wit' the sheep.....run 3bmw ruuun ruuuuunnnn.......

  • Nobody loves you when you're down and out
The area of the country that uses the most coal fired electricity is the mid-west. Particularly, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and West Virginia. Cap and trade could add as much as 40% to these folk's electrtic bills. These folks, outside of those in California, are probably hurting the worst under Obama's "leadership". Kind of like kick em while the're down.
Obamanomics sees the rich getting poorer and the poor getting poorer. Kind of like trickle up poverty.
  • @Commoner
Commoner, you have been brainwashed. The politicians in power are not interested in a better future for humanity. They are interested in a better future for themselves....at the expense of your sacrifice.

You have got to stop listening to them, and start applying common sense instead.
  • Cap and Trade nah!
It's not Cap and Trade. It's Cap Trade. Our whole economy works on trade between individuals locally, nationally, and internationally. The bogus program will Cap Trade, retard it, stop its growth....
  • Commoner
Yes! I am ready to sacrifice.
A better future for humanity depends on it.
    By Commoner

It won't work though. You'll just be wasting your money and mine.
  • Cap & Trade
There is a solution to this taxpayers problem. Make more babies than you can afford. Hit the magic number and bingo you stop being a taxpayer. You get the raise the next generation. Win win, plus I hear they are making much better trailers, er mobile homes these days.
  • Connecticut has had a cap-and-trade law on the books since 2005
and it hasn't raised energy prices or cost jobs - of course, the cap-and-trade provisions didn't kick in until 2009 (wait'll next year)
  • So used to it
I am so used to republicans and Bush raising taxes and spending money on who knows what that I dont really mind stuff like this anymore.
Sorry everybody, but republicans came in and ruined the great festival known as American living.
  • I'm repeating myself
This cap-and-trade is right up there with "plugging up a volcano by dropping virgins into it." This is, of course, an imperfect analogy, because an erupting volcano can be a REAL problem. Man-made global warming is a convenient fiction.
  • Yes! I am ready to sacrifice.
A better future for humanity depends on it.
  • Cap and Trade...
is how our elites intend to further loot us to pay for their New World Order and the military industrial complex. Our elites have big plans for the American people and big plans require lots and lots of money. Healthcare is super important, but THIS thing is the mother of all scams and it MUST be stopped. Many people do not quite understand how significant stopping Cap and Trade is. It is all about "fighting global warming". Global warming is a lie. I read a story yesterday that said that temperatures are down all over the world and thats not all! They claimed that the hole in the ozone is shrinking. Isn't that amazing? And to think this whole time were lead to believe things are getting worse...I think Gore has some splaining to do.
  • Is there anyone left
Who really believes this is a good thing? Let us know, cause it's time to thin the herd... just kidding. Sort of....
  • you mean another ponzi scheme?
like we have not fallen for more then our share already. end is near Neal better start infrom us how to get the heck out of here before it all falls down
