And just who didn't see all of this coming? Come on, folks! Having you been paying attention for the past 30 years? In virtually every state and community in this nation liberals have been blaming racism for any failure, miscalculation, controversy or outright act of corruption by black elected officials. There has been a standard operating methodology in place for all of the 40 years I've been doing talk radio:

  1. Black citizen elected to office.
  2. Black official runs into opposition to policy objectives or has a problem with corruption.
  3. Black supporters and liberals blame the problems on race.

One-two-three. This scenario has been played out so many times in modern American history it would have been impossible to keep count. Now a black man has become president. Some fools thought that this would help our country move beyond racial division. Well --- perhaps it would have, if only evil white people had been smart enough not to object to anything this man might propose. But it didn't work out that way, so now the left and the media are finding racists under every bed, behind every utility pole and on every street in America. Newsweek Magazine even ran a totally absurd story about racism in babies ... putting a picture of a white infant on the cover with the title "Is your baby racist?" Read that story and you'll find that the authors think that it would be horrifying if a white child were to ever express pride in being white.

Last year, before the election, some of us predicted that if (or when) Barack Obama became president that this would happen. We said that every time his policies met with opposition the left would start screaming racism. So what happened when we said that this would happen? Well ... you guessed it. We were called racists. You just can't imagine how surprised and shocked we were.

So .. here is what Jimmy Carter, Bill Moyers, Hank Johnson, much of the Washington and New York press corps, Newsweek Magazine and the brilliant thinkers on the American left would have you believe of Americans right now:

  • We would be more than willing to welcome cap-and-trade with open arms, even if we paid a thousand dollars or more extra every year for our energy use, if Barack Obama were only white.
  • We would be dancing in the streets celebrating the dawning of government control of our health care if only Barack Obama were white.
  • It would be just dandy if government bureaucrats rationed health care for our parents, as long as the president is white.
  • We would jump at the chance of the government owning ALL of the auto manufacturing companies .. not just General Motors ... if the president just didn't have dark skin.
  • We would applaud those ACORN workers giving tax avoidance advice to a pimp and his prostitute if the workers hadn't been black.
  • Most Americans - even ones that don't pay income taxes now - would be more than willing to give 70% of everything they earn to the federal government when asked ... so long as they are asked by a white president.
  • We would have been thrilled, I tell you ... THRILLED to have all of those Islamic goons being held at Guantanamo be not only released, but sent to be school resource officers at our local government schools, if only a white president put that plan in motion.
  • It would be OK if a white president stood back and allowed Iran to build its coveted nukes ... we're only unhappy about that because a black president is doing it.
  • Deficits? We don't care about deficits! Make our children and grand children and great grand children pay through the nose for our president's spending habits ... just so long as the president isn't black.
  • Government pork? Like we actually care? Look ... you folks in Washington can spend all the money you want - how about more studies of the mating habits of Polish Zlotnika pigs? - just make sure it's not a black president who signs the spending bill into law.
  • We wouldn't care if all illegal aliens were counted twice in the next Census ... just so long as the president isn't black.
  • Those Black Panther thugs who threatened voters in Philly? The ONLY reason we're upset that they were given a pass is because Barack Obama is black.
  • Every single member of the president's cabinet could be a tax cheat as far as we're concerned ... just so long as the president is white.
  • Forced unionization? Bring it on! We love card check! We love the idea of union goons threatening and intimidating workers to sign a card saying they want to belong to a union! What we don't like is that a black president is pushing this idea.
  • Single-party talks with that Gargoyle that runs North Korea? It's about time we legitimized that little pipsqueak. We're only mildly upset here because the person who is doing that happens to be black.
  • More regulation of the finance sector? We could care less! For all we care you can nationalize the banks and decree that only the government can make home loans .. .and you can even apportion those home loans on the basis of race if you want to ... just so long as the president is white!
  • Minimum wage? Like we care about that? Raise it to $15 an hour if you want! Just give us our white president back.

Yeah .. the moonbat left really has us figured out, don't they?

What others are saying

  • rejusjon
    cold war ended dude. russia is not the soviet union. it's gone.

    force structure is about balance and addressing existing and future threats.

    take a look at where we've spent the last 20 years and what we've been doing.

    there's your answer to the SF ? and why you fail to understand why this is a good and needed change in direction (that started under Rumsfeld)
  • One thing you dont seem to understand though
    Snarkybird, is that without boots on the ground doing the dirty work with eyes on targets, all that fancy stuff quoted from Gates is nothing more than showroom hardware. We are actually barely on par with many potential adversaries when you remove the ability of tactical and operational nukes and delivery systems. Refueling missions and blue water navies do not stop Ali Akbarah with a dirty bomb parked in Cincinnati. And never underestimate Russia. They may not be able to rustle up a full wing of Bear's, but ask Georgia what their ground forces can still do.

    The old school thought process of two simultaneous full scale wars is fast going to the wayside. When I participated in the last Dept Def Total Force Review, the increase in "Contingency" operations grew heavier in weight. Any thoughts as to why Special Operations Forces force structure grew by 43% since 2004?
    Aegis has a significant limitation as to what sort of targets it can engage, how many and at what range. Strategic defenses and land based systems are still a vital part of a full depth defense.
  • rejusjon
    well, glad I could get you on the "hope" train. LOL! I kid, I kid...

    Regarding the remark about war. Do you have any idea how far and away more powerful we are than any other country in the world? To quote from the speech by Gates I linked

    "For example, the United States is projected to have more than 1,000 F-22s and F-35s before China fields its first fully operational fifth-generation fighter - a gap that will grow well into the 2020s.

    The disparity with other countries is even greater when it comes to pilot quality and logistics. Last year the United States Air Force devoted one-and-a-half million hours to flight training - not counting ongoing operations - and conducted roughly 35,000 aerial refueling missions. The Russian Air Force, by comparison, conducted about 30 refueling sorties."

    We have a blue water navy and are fully capable of fighting two full scale wars in two completely separate theaters.

    We surpass every other country COMBINED in defense spending - by a large margin. Hell, our Navy alone could cripple any country that exists today.

    No one even comes close.

    Terrorism isnt the next big threat, it's just what's left.

    The world is more peaceful, more successful and more rich for more people than it has ever been - EVER. And America is THE reason for all of this.

    This thing with the missile shield makes perfect sense. We move to deploy aegis defenses more regionally and force EU countries to start to pony up more $ for defense.

    It's only right - we've been exporting security now for a long time to allow the rest of the world to catch up. We will continue to do so (rightly) but for those that have caught up, the times ...they are a changin.
  • Snarkybird
    gladly we can come close to agreeing; except of course when you make such flippant claims as:
    "FINALLY, we have a president who understands the threats we face. great power war isnt one of them."

    But there is still hope for you yet :)
  • rechopper
    right, so given what he was referring to in saying that (slavery) you are then advocating for slavery?

    You're saying he was wrong to question the lack of freedoms given blacks in the founding document?

    that's what he was referring to when he said that.

    You're free to disagree but, if you do, I have to wonder then why anyone can condemn Carter for what he said.
  • US Constitution
    When President Obama said our Constitution was a "fundamentally flawed document"..........I made up my mind that I want him no where near the White House. I still feel that way today.
  • rejusjon
    never said cheney was evil. never even implied it. I said he was part of the communication plan that there was a recession coming and we needed to act and that tax cuts were part of that action.

    i also said, based on the measures I linked, that Bush failed on many fronts. "bad" is so vague.

    I prefer "crappy" LOL!
  • rejusjon
    thank you for your post. It's so odd to me that, when presented with details, people can get this close to agreeing.

    healthcare - I agree. I DO NOT want anything we implement to increase the deficit. And I see room for agreement on this issue here where you'd agree to reforms as long as they were fiscally responsible - frankly, that's all I'd EVER want. And I think it's possible.

    TARP - hindsight is a beautiful thing. based on circumstances, they did the right thing IMO. we will never know what the alternative would have looked like. I'm glad.

    DoD - what was wrong with the cuts? to me, FINALLY, we have a president who understands the threats we face. great power war isnt one of them.

    greenies - I dont think you're right about this in terms of the market. the idea that there is some "green" lobby preventing other companies from tapping into vast natural resources in our country is just a myth. See: Over a Barrel via ABC

    Taxes - If we can decrease taxes, spending, and reduce the debt - Im all for it.
  • And, Snarkybird, by the way
    Whenever you invoke the Evil Dick Cheney as part of an arguement, you begin to lose your credability. Please dont slide down the liberal "Cheney Evil", "Bush Bad" slope.
  • @Snarkybird
    Yes, seriously. Medicare and MedicAid (public “options”) have been gov HC since their inception and continuously operate at a loss and provide limited services. Just like Social Security. By manipulating “membership” to a proprietary service, you drive up prices elsewhere. To lower costs we need to reform the current laws governing HC insurance and tort. Specifically, remove interstate provisions and restrictions, medical savings accounts or investment plans (used to be popular in the 60’s and 70’s), and in some measure relook the providers and practitioners’ structure. Do you remember community clinics? You did not have to have a staff of MD’s but you could take care of common problems with RN’s, NP’s and PA’s. We do the same thing with military MedCap teams. And kill all the lawyers (ok, flippant, but maybe effective) I would not object to reforming the current public options but I would enforce a need to operate at a profit level . . . even minimal. But at a point, the programs that make up any public options would have to be self sustaining.
    TARP - “most” banks would not fail. The small market share banks that were investing in higher risk enterprises; like subprimes or margins might’ve. Interestingly, TARP banks could not recoup losses already incurred on troubled assets. So they were still stuck on stupid in many cases. The government made money illegally the same if Guido and Rocko came to your home to sell you protection money. TARP levied a banking tax (my wife’s comparison. . .she worked in a bank) that will pass to banking customers in higher rates, interests and fees. Not so bad if you are BOA, Citi, JP Morgan, Chase or Fargo; real bad if you are anyone else forced to take the cash.
    Yes, Obama cut DoD. In your link, Sec Gates is addressing specifically the 2010 appropriations. Did you know that particular budget was approved in 2005? It is called POM, Program Objective Memorandum – or the DoD approved budget, done in 5 year cycles. Obama just had his first “mini POM” and made significant cuts, some needed, some drastically wrong. But additions will not be seen until Fiscal Year 2014. Sec Gates addressed Bush program appropriations.
    Greenies want everyone to be part of THEIR plan – they still want to curtail domestic exploitation of any natural resources, nukes, or increased refinement. Wind, solar and Hybrids seem to be their only rallying cry. Spot market solutions which will not handle national requirements - we agree only in principle.
    I think every president in history inherits some sort of recession, large or small. Bush stated specifically during his campaign that Tax Cuts (a basic republican plank) were to enhance economic growth, not turn a recession.
    Decreases in taxes. . . I love the idea. Say Fair Tax! But we need to curtail spending across the board, too.
  • I believe a year from now-if not sooner-when someone in the media or politics cries race,few will listen and fewer care.The liberals opened that door!
  • Race
    Most seriously, I think in Washington need to get out of the beltway during which time they spend zero time with anyone from inside the beltway - including their staff.

    What we see developing is a bigotry (classical definition) of those people, who without any evidence or sense of proportion, come to extreme conclusions about people in the real world.

    With apologies to Jeff Foxworthy, "If you've criticized the president, you might just be a racist."
  • Dissent is NOT racism!
  • retwisted
    Ohh...you've studied economics.

    Well then I can make this brief.

    We're arguing classic Friedman vs Keynes here.

    I'm humble enough to admit that while I subscribe to the latter and understand the former, I'm not smart enough to reconcile either to a point where you'd agree with me.

    And we can each point to a myriad of economists on either side who agree with us.

    I understand that the idea of free markets fixing themselves makes govt intervention a disruptor and inhibitor and not a "fixer".

    However, I also know that free markets require profit and not everything that is involved with societal welfare can also be profitable. Medicare happened for a reason.

    That's the difference to me. Friedman was happy to ignore the depth of societal problems because, I think, he viewed the market as an infinite horizon of fortune. Meaning, given enough time, the market will find a way. The problem with that is, no one knows how much time that is for any given problem and you wind up sounding more like a religion and needing "faith" than someone who has real answers.

    Who's right? I can't help but see Friedman's argument about the role of the fed during the depression the same way Krugman saw it - even though Friedman vehemently disagreed with him.

    And I think history bears that out. Look at what volker was able to do with inflation.
  • The Opposition Growing Against Obama
    If Obama would have run his campaign on a government takeover of health care he would have lost the election. He didn't give any specifics in the campaign, so you can hardly say that since he merely won an election he's now entitled to whatever he proposes. A loan from the government hardly justifies the government now owning 80% of what's left of a car company after giving 50% to the unions as political payback. The banks were given hell, and threatened by this administration when they wanted to pay their TARP money back. Only reporting by a whistle-blower and the news media stopped that arm twisting. The generals in charge are asking for more troops in Afghanistan and Obama will be very smart to listen to them. Most of the American people still want Bin Laden's head on a platter. This is supposed to be the "good war",remember? Every idiot knows that lower taxes on individuals and corporations actually creates permanent, good jobs and economic growth when you are in a recession or need to stimulate the economy. Revenues to the government increase under these conditions. Obama has done neither, and is willing to allow some much needed cuts on individuals to expire in a year, amounting to a tax increase when we can least afford it, along with proposing new taxes on energy and for health care (his plan can never be budget neutral as he claims), when the economy is still projected to be weak for some time. It's ideology over all with this guy, and there were complaints about Bush being stubborn? The opposition against Obama is growing because people suspect now that he has serious socialist tendencies; and the very smart American electorate has rejected those policies- which are designed merely to help one philosophy hold government power and diminish the individual's liberty- over and over again. And now legitimate opposition from every day American people of every creed is being called "racism" by a failed Democratic ex-president, no less. Unbelievable. When most of the population rejects your actual ideas and bill proposals in a democracy,you lose, and no amount of childish, pseudo-intellectual tantrum throwing and cries of racism is going to make bad unpopular ideas into good ones. And if bad, unpopular ideas are "forced" through the congress the consequences next year will be even worse than they are already predicted to be for the Democrats. Your emperor has no clothes and is parading through the streets naked. The parade watchers are looking with their jaws hanging down to the curb. He either puts on the "clothes" of moderation, or he's impotent by year's end. You're right on the money again Neil, keep up the good work!
  • Piling On
    Most Americans aren't racist and could care less.

    Therefore racists are a minority and everyone is attacking them! Racist!
  • rejusjon
    1. why do we need health insurance reform? seriously? OK - why do we need a public option as part of reform is a better question. To lower costs overall. To become the low cost driver in the market. there is no other player that can do that. I'm assuming you agree that, at a min, we need reform, yes? public option or not?

    2. TARP - yes, some were. and now they're all on their way to paying them back after avoiding complete collapse. Some banks fail - OK, no prob. Most banks fail, we all suffer. It was the right thing to do. And the govt made money.

    3. obama cut DoD? no, he, along with gates, did the right things. read on http://www.defenselink.mil/speeches/speech.aspx?speechid=1379

    4. greenies want it to be part of the plan - I'm good with that - so we agree.

    cheney and others were clear that they were inheriting a recession. and that the tax cuts would spur growth.

    it's not lost on me that taxes are our money. why is it lost on you that tax cuts that dont decrease taxes for everyone while we pay off debt arent really tax cuts at all, just loans.
  • ster4@aol.com
    We rejected government healthcare in the 90s when a WHITE president proposed it.

    How can anyone call this racism when the last time it was tried, it was defeated and that President was white.

    It's intellectually dishonest. Oh wait, those words are now banned.
  • ster@aio.com
    "White people don't want to transfer wealth to non-white people"

    HA! I am white and don't want my money going to other WHITE people EITHER!
  • Snarkybird, if my list was so sad,
    Why couldn't you effectively refute one single point?
    1. I know he said it and like Hillary in 92, I dreaded the possibility.
    “we ALREDY have govt run healthcare and private companies still do fine.”

    THEN WHY DO WE NEED OBAMACARE? You just proved my point...thanks, I will give you an "assist" on that one, but you did not disprove my original point. And the examples of Medicare and MedicAid as govHC is exactly why we DONT need his plans.

    2. They were forced to take those loans. Extending direct influence into the any industry is tatamount to government established churches. They should have been allowed to fail, file Chapter 11, reorg and come back on their own merits. That includes renegotioation of union contracts. OOOPS...ant have that...they might lose some of their excessive benefits. This was payback for the unions, nothing more. Chapter 11 has been a factor of corporate life since time immortal. And I feel the same way about Bush and TARP. Irresponsible!

    3. Bank of America did not need the funding. They were perfectly viable. By forcing any of the banks to accept “government loans” they are forced into what amounts to a type of receivership, they were forced to pay interest on something they did not need. That amounts to extortion. That also drove down the stock values of BOA and others. And the $80B the government is supposed to make is $80B it now will spend on more pork, pet programs and essentially votes for Obamas circle of friends and influence. Negligent and somewhat criminal.

    4. Obama has already cut funding to DoD and has slashed programs right and left. Now, I will agree that some of the programs needed some trimming, but Obama has set back DoD futures more than Clinton did in the 90’s. He has not agreed to more troops in Afghanistan yet, and may actually pull forces out on the promise of more NATO commitment. And only today, pulled the plug on a missle defense plan. Brilliant.

    5. China can no more take over “green markets” than we could take over rice production. Their domestic power generation plans are years over schedule and millions over budget and will not be viable for another 10-15 years. Yet we refuse to drill our own natural resources, build more nuke plants , produce more natural gas, and build and update our petroleum refinement capacity. Alternatives must be part of the plan but the “Greenies” discount that...they want renewable as THE plan. Folly!

    My praise for Prez Bush extends mainly against terrorism. His presidency wasn’t a stunning success, but hardly a failure. His tax cuts were a promise to free enterprise, never blamed on Clintons recession and we are not paying for them since it was our money to begin with. That seems lost on you.

    By the way, Brownstein wrote in 2007 that Bush’s record was much improved over his predecessor.

    Swing and a miss, Snarks.
  • neal booooooring boortz
    from the man? who brought us urban campers & boo got shot. Priceless.
  • SO ... NOW WE ALL KNOW THIS IS JUST ABOUT OBAMA'S RACE
    Neil wake up and smell the coffee! You can't read 10 unedited comments anywhere online without coming across overt racism. Why should a baby be proud of being white, or black for that matter? What did the baby do to EARN their race again?
  • Harvard Delenda Est
    Jim Beam, you are an Idiot and a racist. Europeans put up with a lot of things that legitimate Americans will not countenance. That is why our ancestors left "Olde Europe" and theirs did not. I don't care for parasites, period. White, black, red, or demokkkrat, it makes no difference to me. Just as with suppressed "gay bashers", scratch a skin color obsessed race baiter, and you generally come up with a crypto racist. Duh....
  • ACORN's president
    When does someone honestly challenge and investigate "president" obama on his shameful role as an ACORN lawyer (liar) and advocate...obama is the candidate that ACORN provided....In this case, the ACORN doesn't fall far from the White House.
  • Great article. I would argue that a certain % of the people are racists.

    That being so, it does not negate the point of the opposition to President Obama's agenda.

    President Obama is no progressive, nor is he a true liberal. He is however a big government statist neo liberal<---- the worst type of democrat. neo liberals are just as bad as neo cons.

    I think both parties BLOW, we need a fiscally conservative socially liberal 3rd party. This is the true majority in this country.
  • rejusjon
    what a sad little list there, truly.

    Let's go through them

    1. govt HC - you said you were paying attention during the campaign. were you? he said he'd do this. he won. just running away from it wont help your cause. not to mention, we ALREDY have govt run healthcare and private companies still do fine.

    2. Car companies - they were given loans to help them limp to a place where they could grow again. sorry, but I do see where you could be mad about this - but it was better than the alternative IMO

    3. OK, so BofA is set to pay back it's money, others already have and are no longer under TARP and the govt made 80 billion dollars.... yeah, socialism...pfft

    4. like? increasing troops in afghanistan? increasing the DoD budget and focusing more on the kinds of things we need for the war on terror as opposed to great power war?

    4. green - yeah, we should just let China take over this market. no sense in us being the ones that own this industry. when china and india look more like us from a population/middle class perspective - there will need to be alternatives. why not own those markets?

    6. lame...this one is just lame..you ran out of ideas.

    Bush used the recession that he blamed on clinton tax hikes to push his own tax cuts through...I remember them repeating over and over and over how we were headed for recession and we needed to get tax cuts passed ASAP. where were you??

    and you're right - those tax cuts werent tax cuts at all. we're still paying for them.

    And please, spare me the soft praise for Bush. By every measure, he was a failure.
    http://politics.theatlantic.com/2009/09/closing_the_book_on_the_bush_legacy.php
  • No, JimBeam you are wrong!
    "White people don't want to transfer wealth to non-white people"

    Most dont want to transfer their "wealth" to anyone; especially when it comes to the government deciding how much and to whom and for what reason. We typically like to keep what we earn and dispose of it to suit our needs and desires. It is called freedom.

    Your comment is tainted with prejudice.
  • I am not angry, Snarkybird
    Far from angry. I am not even surprised since I knew, having done some research on Obama, exactly what we were in for. I even bet that he would win by a small margin. The only place I was wrong was miscalculating the rate at which he would push socialism on this nation. By a matter of degrees, what I saw Prez Bush doing in changing this country was far less severe than what I have seen Obama attempt, and at some extent, succeed, in doing. And the conditions, post 9-11, that Bush had to work under were far more justifiable. While I will credit Bush with sticking to a moderately conservative tempo for his agenda, Obama has let the horses "have their reins":
    1. Government Healthcare - say what you will, but that is what it will end up being. I remember the Hillary Care fights in '92.
    2. GM and Chrysler government "buyouts". Again, cloak them in whatever you want, but that is what they are.
    3. Citi Bank, Bank of America and others.
    4. Actions to gut the war on islamic extremism/jihadism
    5. Going Green - lets just forget about domestic production and dump billions on small market solutions such as solar and wind power to power the nation. Forget about the untapped reserves of oil and gas on our own shoreline and within our own borders. I cant wait for Cap and Trade to show up.
    6. Undermining the collective strength of our nation by apologising for every historical transgression known in the civilized world.
    That is just for starters...

    Of another note: the Bush tax cuts originated not because of recession, but from the only fiscally conservative thing he had in his bag of tricks. And as part of his campaign strategy, he promised them. The resulting stimulus was without question. From 2002 to 2007 we had unprecedented growth; interesting how that happens when the government cuts taxes. Critics screamed about choking off funds for their pet projects and programs to “pay” for them, despite increases in spending, nearly 43 percent for 2001. Those tax cuts spurred economic growth and 5 million new jobs, even while funding the “GWOT” since 2003. In general, tax revenues soared; sadly government spending did too.
  • Obama's race is irrelevant
    It is all about policy. Obama's policy proposals are designed to help his core supporters, who are disproportionately Latino, black, and poor, and white union workers. The rest of us white folk don't want to have to pay more for less so that Obama's supporters can have more. And college students are NOT Obama's core supporters. They were only in it for one election as a feel-good and anti-war thing. He hasn't done anything for them, and they will end up paying a lot more for health care so they are not turning out for Obama right now. Obama is all about the fine American tradition of "To The Victors Belong The Spoils", and the last 8 months have educated people as to who those victors really are.
  • Why we really don't like Obama
    It's time to come clean folks; let's be honest and quit all the deception.

    It isn't the outrageously radical czars president Obama has appointed;
    or the racist, sexist Supreme Court Justice he got confirmed;
    or the government take-over of our banking industry;
    or his public subornation of the bankruptcy laws of the US;
    or his castigation of private financial industry management bonuses while ignoring larger bonuses to Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac managers;
    or his public extortion of the Hedge Fund managers;
    or the uncompensated distribution of Chrysler to a foreign manufacturer;
    or the un-Constitutional distribution of GM to the UAW (who just happened to endorse his candidacy for president);
    or the doubling of the money supply since January;
    or the ready acquiescence to allow Congress to add $150 Billion in pork to the $780 Billion political support payback bill (that had to be passed without examination-even though most of the spending is delay until just before mid-term elections);
    or the grossly undeserved condemnations of America at every foreign stop or his embrace of every communist leader in the world;
    or his support for Cap and Trade that accomplishes nothing more than driving America out of business;
    or because his fiscal policies are bankrupting America;
    or that he supports the idiotic plan of having the Fed print worthless currency to finance the national debt;
    or his public bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia;
    or his connection with and financial support of ACORN;
    or his demands for a universal healthcare bill to be passed without reading it (although none of it’s provisions take effect until 2013 (after the next presidential election);
    or his attempt to take over the Census (clearly an Article I responsibility);
    or his grotesque misrepresentation of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights;
    or his outrageous characterization of Americans clinging to their guns and religion because of their disappointment and fear of people that don't look like them;
    or even the fact that virtually every single pronouncement, policy, program promoted by the president is un-Constitutional;
    or that he permits his party leadership to characterize loyal opposition and veterans as thugs, Nazis, or right wing terrorists;
    and it isn't even because his official actions are diametrically opposed to everything he promised about open and transparent government.

    Let's be honest, none of these could possibly be justification for objecting to the president; it is simply because he eats arugula, and EVERYBODY knows what that means....

    Who said we couldn’t come up with a dumber context than Senile Jimmy Carter and Moron Maureen Dowd for explaining why the American people are getting really angry with this administration and it’s leadership (sic)?
  • Toward the next (nuclear) world war
    While Jimmy Carter was hurling charges of racism, it may have gone unnoticed that president Obama quietly cancelled construction of the Eastern Europe missile shield. He had previously unilaterally agreed to cut our strategic nuclear stocks by 1/3 rd without equivalent Russian concessions. While the Western Powers languish under self-imposed paralysis, and the US abdicating her leadership position, a search for new centers of gravity must begin. After many decades of international stability the forces of despotism finally have a chance, even an open opportunity, at ascendancy.

    Iran will get nuclear weapons. Iran will attempt the final solution. A nuclear war is virtually inevitable. Abdicated strength always brings war.
  • Casting off the aged
    Casting off the aged.

    The Baucus plan allows insurance companies to charge up to 5 times more than young folks. Seniors won’t be able to afford insurance. At least there will be no need for death panels.

    http://prescriptions.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/09/14/how-much-should-seniors-pay-for-insurance/
  • So let me get this straight:
    We're going to get a health care plan shoved down our throats that is written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it, but exempts themselves from it, signed by a president that also hasn't read it, and who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke.

    What could possibly go wrong?
  • The real racial issue
    Obama's race is only tangentially relevant.

    The real issue is that the people who benefit from his programs will be disproportionately brown and black and the people who will pay will be disproportionately white.

    White people don't want to transfer wealth to non-white people. On the other hand, the welfare state is more accepted in more homogenized European countries. In those countries white people are transferring wealth to other white people, which leads to considerably less objection
  • The Talkmaster Rules!
    I'd say "Ditto" but that one's already taken. I'll just say "Damn right!" and leave it at that.
  • While the dp is beating that dead horse they aren't beating a live one.
    Who was it that said something like, "Never stop an opponent from making a fool of themselves?"
  • Poor Jimmy
    Who realy cares what Carter thinks, says or does. I seem to remember that he and the gang of Neanderthal clowns he surrounded himself with managed to put the economy into the toilet.

    For that matter, who gives a hoot in hell what obama thinks
  • Brainiac idea
    You have to think of who voted for him. People who convinced themselves that a mulatto man was actually black so they could make "history". So at any turn they are going to point out race to validate themselves for voting "for the black guy" WHICH actually makes them a racist. So in FARK ect..I like to point out that they are racist. It drives them nuts. Because one can not play the race card without that person being racist.
  • I think that for many blacks who are socialists, redistributive economics is seen as their own way of life; so if someone objects to socialism, he therefore is denying blacks their special culture.

    And I'm not a racist, just saying. If Dr. Walter Williams were to run for President, I'd take out a second mortgage on my house to campaign for him.
  • rejusjon
    You said 'That said, what Obama has managed to accomplish in just the first 7 months pales what Bush even considered doing."

    Could you enlighten those of us who are still confused by your anger as to what you're referring to there?

    Ahhh! Right, if only we'd done nothing, this whole "recession" thing would be history. We'd be right where we are now!

    To believe that is to ignore the great depression and history.

    Gee, what was it again Bush used as the reason for tax cuts in 2000? I can't recall..it starts with an "r" though...

  • Racism
    The accusation of racism has been tossed about so frivolously that it has lost all meaning. In fact, when I hear, I just shut down.
  • Racism
    To me, this (blaming racism where none exists) does more to encourage the continuation of racism than anything else. All it does is stoke the fire every time someone tries something like this.
  • BobNatlanta
    Maybe this is what they are trying to deflect us from:

    http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/blairholt.asp
  • lets be honest
    His only mistake was in making his racism obvious, he should have said things like lazy, no good , welfare queen, socialist, Hitler, communist, Stalin, personal responsibility, outside agitators, reverse discrimination, limited government, states rights, freedom of speech etc. he's got to learn the code words of hate.
  • We've not asleep at the wheel since 2000
    I don’t think that any true conservative ever gave Prez Bush a pass on such things as immigration reform, NCLB, prescription drug funding, campaign finance reform, and even some of the issues captured in the Partiot Act and Homeland Security. So the past eight years hardly went by with a yawn. Many even disagreed with Bush’s timing on Iraq (although an inevitable necessity) . I don’t know of a single conservative who would say “George Bush used his veto pen too many times” . But lets remember that it was Bush who addressed reforming healthcare insurance programs and healthcare issues in 2003 but was opposed severely by the same special interest groups we see working today; spearheaded by prominent Democrats.

    No one denies recognizing Obamas intent, that is why so many campaigned hard to defeat him. Why the Republicans did it under a McCain ticket is still baffling to many, though.
    That said, what Obama has managed to accomplish in just the first 7 months pales what Bush even considered doing.

    It has nothing to do with his race; everything to do with his socialist tendencies. The inertia has made the pace of “HOPE AND CHANGE” dizzying and the direction is contrary to the founding of this nation and good common sense. Remember, most positive change is evolutionary. Revolutions are prone to messiness.
  • The worst lie
    I almost forgot-- the worst lie of all is all this crap Obama keeps spouting about how the economy has been so bad that the US was on the brink of destruction blah blah blah.

    Any first year economics student KNOWS that economies have boom and bust cycles. This is normal and exactly how business are kept "honest." In a bust cycle the bad businesses go under (if govt would LET them!! And yes, this is where I had a HUGE problem with Bush), and the good ones rise up, and the economy rebounds stronger than ever.

    Even if Obama didn't understand this concept, his advisor had to have, and told him. They KNEW we were on the upswing of this natural cycle when he was sworn in. People say they rushed the porkulus bill through to get it passed before anyone knew what it was, but the bigger truth is they needed to rush it through before people realized the economy was getting better ALL ON IT's OWN.

    Now that everyone can see the economy is improving, he can come out and say, "Hey things were bad but thanks to our decisive action we saved the world." --- even though he and his team know the bill has hardly even been put into effect yet and can't possibly be having any impact yet-- in fact, the bill is actually going to start having a negative impact before too long. Any 2-bit economist would know this....but the sheeple don't, and they eat it up.

    That is very infuriating.
  • rejoyce
    I'm pretty sure I abdicated that the anger on the right is being painted as racist, not that it was. It may have some components but, not overall. But when Rush is doing it, it's pretty easy to paint it all as such.

    I have no power - duh! and have said many times I'm a complete idiot. Dont' listen to me - suit yourself.

    Again, blame the media. Failure needs to have an excuse.

    What would I do? -->see my reply to Jeff.

    Again - I'm an idiot who knows nothing. Ignore me, mock me, deride me.... it doesn't matter.

    You've been undercut by your own anger and the more you feed it, the more it consumes you.

    People say racist now and you folks explode. You all are on a hair trigger and joe wilson is now your poster boy (like it or not). he who angers you, conquers you.

    Angry mobs without substantive leadership and agendas are like dust in wind.

    if you cant get your act together soon, god help you on immigration reform and cap and trade.

    you're being played.
  • @Snarky
    Snarky,

    I understand what you are saying about being civil...but it is HARD right now. We have a bunch of criminally negligent politicians in office right now that just infuriate me with their arrogance. They look down on us (the people) as if we are retarded children under their care, with the hypocritical attitude of "Do as I say not as I do."

    They constantly ignore us, saying they know what's best for us, and that we need to give more, serve them more, make sacrifices, and tighten the belts-- all the while they piss away our tax dollars buying votes, living like kings, doing whatever the hell they want without any concern for how it affects us and the country.

    That is congress, which is bad enough....and then you have the leader of this bunch of jackasses, Obama, telling us boldfaced lie after lie with a big snickering grin on his face. And yes, they are obvious lies to anyone with an ounce of common sense...but he keeps doing it with a sense of supreme arrogance, and it is very infuriating. I can't blame Mr. Wilson for his outburst. I want to scream the same thing everytime he gets up and opens his lying mouth.

    There will be transparency-- lie!
    Bills will be understandable-- lie!
    We can insure 40 million more people with no increase in cost-- lie!
    The stimulus bill, which hasn't even started to be spent, and which there is NO way can be proven whatsoever, is a complete success-- lie!
    The health care bill will reduce the supply of doctors...but there will be no rationing-- lie!

    The list goes on, and based on the advisors he has around him, I KNOW that he knows he is lying, because there is no way anyone with an ounce of common sense can believe any of that crap. But he just keeps grinning and feeding us this crap day in and day out. It is extremely infuriating.

    And yeah Bush had problems, too, but I truly believe he was at least trying to do what he thought was right. I really don't think Obama gives a crap...he is too in love with himself to care about anything else.
  • snarky
    call me crazy but...the simple truth is most don't want anything to do with government healthcare...period. they don't trust the government to run anything correctly, fear it will end up breaking the bank, don't want to be taxed to pay for some lowlife that wont take care of himeself, and don't want to give that much control over us. just because the dems come out with some bill doesn't mean the rest of us have to counter with a bill of our own. if you don't want something in the first place then you shouldn't be forced to offer any alternative.

    So what would you do? Oh yeah, we've asked you that before and you just bypass it with more or your inane quips.

    You don't want to have a civil discourse yourself. You are sir, a hypocrite.

    You can blame the media too. But, if your folks aren't smart enough to manage existing media cycles and players, they dont deserve to lead on any issue.

    And finally.."I dont care what people like you think..." ...perfect.

    as I said, timing is everything.

    ignore at your own peril.
  • rejeff
    I don't think I'm advocating for civility so much as substance. I think if you had a substantive set of agenda items built into a cohesive plan - you'd be able to focus on that and drown out the crazies.

    without substantive plans to draw from, you just have anger without any leadership.

    That's called a "mob". And, I don't care what your reasons are, mob rule is no way to run anything.
  • @tim
    Get your facts straight, young man. Why is it that the democratic/liberal party is always trying to get credit for ending slavery and starting the civil rights movement? I am sick and tired of hearing about how the parties basically 'switched' positions over the past couple decades. It's just BS. The Demoncrats power base are the poor and downtrodden, they sure as hell don't want to lose it by actually helping them rise above where they are.

    I knew the race card was going to be used long before Obama was elected. I just thought it would be sooner then this.
  • Snarky
    I don't get what you expect anyone to do. "Fix it"? We are trying but no one in Washington is listening. And obviously, neither are you.

    Best way to fix this, is stop any legislation coming out of Washington. Get rid of the extremists in 2010 and 2012. Get some real conservatives in there.

    Perceptions never matter in politics for more than a season. No one is marginalizing us except people trying to marginalize our efforts, because they see we are making advances.

    Humble? Humility? With the arrogance coming out of the White House? sure

    And maybe if lame stream media did their job, more people would be aware of the alternatives the GOP have presented.

    Ya know, I really don't care (does anyone else) if people like you and others think our "timing" is off. Cause our timing is better than that of the people on the left who STILL have not seen the light.
  • racism
    Of course it's okay for a busload of blacks to beat up a white kid and after it's been investigated, deem it wasn't racist. if it was the other way around, you'd hear screaming bloody murder. They're making me prejudiced with all the race talk.
  • @Snarky
    we can sit down and discuss these issues in a civil manner with our politicians but you and I both know that they won't listen and we would have zero chance of changing their minds. of course they want us to be polite and kiss their asses. that, in itself, is infuriating.

They are so fed up with what is going on. This anger is rising. It is growing out of control. I am worried something bad is going to happen in this country. It is almost as if they are leading us down the road to some sort of event. My personal stress level as well as the majority of people I interact with is extremely high right now. I have never witnessed such a thing in my lifetime. People are worn out and tired. We collectively need some kind of relief. Mainstreet is dying and I don't know how to stop it. All this racism talk is really upsetting people. They are DEAD wrong about this claim of racism. We are upset because they are killing the spirit of the American people.
  • Where were the conservatives for the last 8 years?
    I assume most of you that complain about us conservatives complaining about the Obama Administration have been reading and posting to this site for that long. Otherwise, how would you know that these particular individuals were silent regarding Bush's policies?
    I you just started using this site this year, then it is impossible to determine our feelings toward the Bush's Administration. You just assume!!
    We are in the year 2009, looking at the future of the country. Not looking back since there is nothing we can do to change what has already occurred. Every administration has made major errors. Chats such as this are relatively new. Had we had the opportunity to discuss these issues in the past maybe the country would be in a better situation than it is now, as we could have made better decisions.
    Based on the outcome of the last two elections 2006 and 2008, I tend to believe that the American voters were upset with the Bush Administration. With the election in 2006, the situation got worse. Now, with Obama, things are not improving as we had HOPED. Moreover, there is no CHANGE as he promised. He has failed to fulfill many of his promises and he cannot blame the Republicans since they are not in power in the House or Senate.
    So, just quit asking about where we were during the Bush Administration, unless you know for a fact we (I) supported everything Bush did. Which I did NOT!

  • @ Big Joe Williams
    You clearly need to read your American History, the Democratic Party used to be the Southern Conservative party back in the day, and Republicans were the Northern Liberal Party. In the late 60's however, the parties basically did a total switch, after the Liberal Democrats passed some Civil Rights legislation, and the Racist "Dixiecrats" jumped ship and joined the Republicans, causing liberal republicans to leave their party and join the democrats... and so it stands to this day.
  • All this racism
    Five of the eight (six of eight if you want to include the ACORN article) on Neal's Nuze today are about racism.

    I hope that if someone calls you a racist you don't let it bother you. The word is now meaningless thanks to repetition.

    @Lane
    Barry was Obama's nickname in college dummy, pay some attention to the news before you rant.

    @snarky/Joyce
    Using Joyce's (and all of the protesters') timing as a reason to keep their mouths shut is pretty weak.
    Bush was pushing this country in the same direction that Obama is now doing, but he was doing it more slowly and less visibly.
    The fact that Obama is cracking the leftward knob so rapidly is why people are "just now" getting indignant and upset.

  • Advice for the right
    I agree that the left is playing with fire if it's going to trot out the race card. To its credit, the white house has not done this yet and I suspect they will not go there.

    If you want the allegations of racism to go away, here's a piece of advice: If you are at a teabag protest or town hall meeting, and see someone holding up a sign of Obama looking like a monkey, or some other overtly racist garbage, confront the idiot displaying the sign and inform him or her that he or she is not helping to advance the conservative cause.

    I realize that it is only a minority of protestors who show up with these kinds of signs . . . but images of these idiots show up all over the Internet, particularly on left-leaning sites . . . and create a perception that the right wing is filled with a bunch of bigots.

    Perception is reality.
    Perception has an impact on how moderates vote.
    And the votes of moderates are key to winning elections.
  • Excellent
    Now that we're all distracted by arguing to defend ourselves against something of which we aren't guilty, the Left can push through their agenda while we fight. I love this list; it shows just how ridiculous this all is. So let's all share it with anyone who starts this nonsense and move on to what's really important.
  • rejoyce
    well, that's kind of my point.

    I totally understand if that is your take. Thank goodness you're paying attention now.

    but, having been quiet for so long, and now suddenly so upset with so many things (many of which induced no visible anger prior) does lend a certain disingenuous tone to your anger.

    And given that it's towards our first black president, that so many in the groups protesting also question his citizenship, all I'm saying is - given that scenario and the timing of your anger, I can see where many would paint this as "something other than" what you say you're angry about.

    Which is why I said - you'd be more effective if you changed your tone and had perhaps a tad more humility.

    I'm all for having this debate. But, given where we've been and what got us here, I think the anger from the right would be more effective caged in a slightly more humble tone.

    As you said - you're late to complain. I think that should be a starting point for a "hey, we messed up, let's get busy fixing it".

    But, to that point - in terms of healthcare reform - none of this should be a surprise. This is what Obama said he'd do... so, on that point at least, I think it would be more effective for the opposition to recognize that this was an election issue, one side had more votes and work to come to some middle ground. Not just oppose, oppose, oppose.

    And yes, I know there are other bills out there. But, GOP leadership has done a piss poor job of introducing them and their ideas.

    and outbursts like Joe Wilson's do nothing to help your cause. They just further polarize the sides and give dem's an easy way to point to you as being the party of angry naysayers. The protesters do the same thing.

    Polling indicates many americans view the GOP as being obstructionist on reform and to obama in general.

    How about this for a bumper sticker "If our president was white, he'd still be an idiot"?
  • Hey Lane
    Republicans should either stop being wimps and man up and find another excuse why Obama is not doing everything they want or just sit back and read more books to be burned at a Sarah Palin Rally.
    By Lane Meyer

    We DID find another excuse to not like Obama's administration and policies. Read the above.

    And what is it with this stupid book burning crap. WHERE have you ever read anything about Palin burning books?
  • Geez Snark don't you ever listen?
    Yeah we are late to start complaining about Bush, but hey, better late than never!

    The American people have been asleep for a long time. You gonna keep bashing us over the head with that lame "where were you during Bush" crap FOREVER!?! We got it now. Unfortunately, the left STILL hasn't gotten it. When they finally do, do you want us sitting here saying "did you fall back asleep during Obama?"????

    Dang and I just agreed with you earlier and you have to pull this lame crap.

    Simple: Bush=bad, Obama=just as bad

    Okay?

    Oh let me add this since he had to stick his head out: Carter=bad AND stupid
  • If Obama had lost the election
    To go along with the vein of thought in the article, I proposed back in the Fall of 2008 that if Obama had lost his machine would have played the race car. They would have gone to the courts with the argument that it was racism that prevented him from being elected. The lawyers would have demanded that all votes not for Obama were racist and that they had to be thrown out. This would have started at the state court levels and moved to SCOTUS. It would probably have worked in some states and failed in others. It would have been a bigger mess though than the Gore of 2000 but would have likely not overturned the election in the end.

    The other thing that would have accompanied this would have been the fighting in the streets and terrorism done by a small minority of pro-Obama groups. Again, all because of "racism".

    I oppose(d) Obama due to his socialist political views and not because of race. If race is what drives his socialist views it still is not racism to be opposed to Obama.
  • not sure what this means...
    So if you voted for our President for no other reason then he was black what does that make you ??
  • Race
    GET IT STRAIGHT PEOPLE: All who oppose Obama only do so for racial reasons, but NONE who voted him into office did it for racial reasons.
    You gotta love leftists and their complete lack of rational logic.
  • The poor black man
    The racist left crucifies the back conservative by calling him an Uncle Tom. Remember the Clarence Thomas confimation hearings?
    Righteous criticism of a black liberal is called racist.
    Where is the poor black man in all of this? He is nothing more than a political tool to be either defamed as an Uncle Tom or, if he is a leftist, defended by accusing his detractors of racism.
    The marvel is that blacks overwhelmingly vote democrat.
    Is this some kind of perverted Stockholm Syndrome?
  • Racism
    You're right, Neal. That is the standard 1-2-3 since the '60s. I honestly believe the system our Founding Fathers gave us will allow us to solve the Congrss/Obama problem in '10 & '12.

    Right now, though, I'd like to modify Shakespeare's comment form Henry V (I think). "First, let's hang all the lawyers" and change it to "Let's hang all the lawyers and press people!" I think ridding our selves of the two groups that egg on the problems might allow some civility and intelligence back into the process.
  • The Down Stream Media
    Our major sources of national media continuously promote racial bias as the hidden agenda to explain and dismiss the opposition to Obama or DEM policies, appointments and legislation. The "racist" labels are proliferating in print, television, internet, WH press corps and on the floors of BOTH houses of congress.

    What was once the media pandering to the most liberal black leaders like Sharpton and Jackson has devolved into the IDEOLOGIC POLICE that promotes race baiting and systematically denies the very existence of NON-WHITES that disagree with Obama and DEM policies.

    What an insult to the First Ammendment.
  • jimmy carter

  • racism
    I reserve the right to like or dislike or be apathetic toward anyone of any race, creed, color, religion, or behavior, for reasons of my own choosing.

    I reject what others feel is their right to pass judgement on my decisions in this regard.
  • It's brewing.
    With the entire government's plummeting approval numbers, all the latest race baiting, black kids beating up the white kid on the school bus while the driver turns a blind eye, etc, you know that's brewing some anger. God forbid this from leading up to race riots in major American cities.

    Plotting my escape now...
  • here's the problem
    Much of what protestors (for lack of a better word - just using this as a placeholder for people very upset with Obama) are upset about either started under Bush or was vigorously debated in the presidential election.

    So, there is a sort of - gosh, we've covered this already but NOW you're upset? Hmmm...that seems odd. Almost like there's something else going on...

    And for those who have seen racism first hand, it's an easy explanation.

    But lets face it - you had people showing up to rallies during the election with monkeys. You've had people smear the president as not even a citizen.

    It all smacks of "he aint one of us" which falls right in line with the stereotypical frame of racism.

    I think you're right - I think a lot of people are just mad because they see govt expanding too much.

    But, on the one hand, they're a day late and a dollar short on that anger and on the other, if you're honest, there is some racism going on in there too for some - not all - but some.

    So, it's REAL easy to just paint it all with one big brush. It's what people do - reduce things to a single or set of simple descriptors so they can address it easily rather than deal with all the complexity.

    And having an older white male from South Carolina (hellloooo history anyone??) yell at the president during a speech, is EASILY portrayed as racist.

    I think the only way you get rid of this is to start telling people to chill out - address your concerns in a more reasonable way. May not like hearing that but, it is probably the only thing that will work.

    owning up to how much of this mess was already here when Obama took office would be a good start too.
  • Race.
    I'd like to see Herman Cain as President, Walter Williams as Vice President, and Thomas Sowell as my Senator!
  • re Boors fan
    You may not know it, but the local Augusta, GA Right Wing Radio Talk Host spent about 45 minutes ranting on that subject. Most of his audience would like to take that SOB out and shoot him ourselves.

    First, a gentleman doesn't treat a lady that way, and he proved himself to be the ultimate example of boor and cad.

    Secondly, for true conservatives, resorting to physical violence is only valid in defense of ones life and property (though the left doesn't think property is worth it). So this low life disqualified himself as a conservative as well.

    Basically what you have here is a moron with anger issues who decided to debate with his fists.

    I can assure you, most true conservatives would volunteer to tie the rope to lynch him with, and go scout for a good tree to do the job.
  • Racism
    Is it just me or does it seem that racism is being unjustly charged by the BO adminstration and its' flunkies so as to incite angry indignant responses in hopes of moving the populace to unlawful responses, so as to have a reason to impose martial law?
  • Wow what a list!
    I hadn't sat down to list it all but "just damn" about covers it!

    Thanks
  • Can we switch Bush's name?
    Since people on this board switch Obama's name to Barry, can we switch Bush's name to Harry? At least Harry Bush is a name that is funny. HAHAHAHA

    Racism isnt going anywhere around the world. Republicans should either stop being wimps and man up and find another excuse why Obama is not doing everything they want or just sit back and read more books to be burned at a Sarah Palin Rally.
  • It makes sense now...
    It's crystal clear...
    we are polarized in this country..split 50/50 on :
    cap-and-trade
    government control of our health
    rationed health care for our parents
    government owning ALL of the auto manufacturing companies
    And the rest of the list in the article...
    because of racism...
    because 50 % are only onboard with Barry's white half..the rest of us aren't..

    I agree with Stan ( hahahaha can't believe I said that)
    Race is not an issue for me..
    Qualifications are however.

    The black people in this country got cheated when Obama got elected..
    of all the great black men in this country, they ended up getting this hack.
  • Race Card
    Just an addendum: this only applies to black democrats. If Herman Cain were president - can you imagine???? every opposition wouldn't be based on his race, it would be because he's a wealthy Christian homophobe etc. etc.

    Race only counts for liberal politicians...of course, they're the only ones who see racism in everything as well.
  • Oblama is Black ?
    I thought he was only HALF Black, by his own admission. Wouldn't that make him Halfrican ?
  • That list is...
    ...Brilliant !!
  • racism?
    So Condi Rice would be receiving this level of right-wing criticism if she were president? Because if you're arguing this is "racism," you have to believe that as well.
  • When
    When liberals cannot defend their policies, when they know they are failing, they will always revert to that old ace in the hole: name calling.
    Truth hurts.
  • So much for diversity and tolerance
    The Democrats are falling all over themselves (and the media is right there with them )to declare all of us white conservatives racists and everything we say is because we don't want a black President. Well there you go. We're not even needed here since they have us all figured out. I'm so glad and may I say, grateful, that we have such clairvoyant, clear thinking, and worldly wise people in this country. And so...so...tolerant. These liberals are wonderful, can we send them over to Afghanistan to talk to Bin Laden and show him what a loving, caring, and compassionate bunch the new Americans are? I'm sure he'd want to hear what they have to say. I don't need to stick my finger down my throat to barf now, I just have to listen to these morons like Maureen Dowd, Jimmy Carter, and virtually any MSNBC clone. Go take a flying leap at a rolling donut!
  • Obama is Black
    Obama being elected might have helped the racial divide, except he blatantly violates your point #2.
    He is surrounded by corruption in his staff, appointees and history.
    He appoints corrupt people to current positions and if there isn't a good position for his corrupt crony, he'll make a new position for them.
    He continues to deal with corrupt people.
    The corruption in his administration grows every day.
    He is the epitome of corruption.
    Look up corruption in the dictionary, and someday there will be his picture.
    He either doesn't know, doesn't care or is doing it by choice to further his power grab to be the most influential man on the planet.
    Nobody is that stupid - it is intentional. If we elected somebody that stupid, we are worse or we have been successfully scammed.
    If he appoints 5 people and 1 gets tossed, that is still shooting 80%.
    He is repeating the same behavior consistently and not by accident or being "misinformed".
    He is doing it on purpose on a daily basis.
    Soon even "real" black people will grow tired of him and say that he is not really black, he is instead some kind of half breed.
  • All about race???
    My A$$!

    Where the heck was that stupid cracker Carter when Bush was being likened to Hitler, denigrated at every corner.

    The left is always harping about right wing hate. Well what I have seen are these liberal know-it-alls are the most hateful people I have ever seen.
  • KKK Democrat Party.
    The Democrat Party created the Ku Klux Klan. Any time you hear any politician talking about "racism", it is ALWAYS a DEMOCRAT. Remember in the 1960's, when the KKK Democrat Party was beating black people with sticks and clubs, and sicking German Shepard police dogs on blacks, and hosing black people down with water-cannons? Now, they always call the Republicans "racists". It doesn't even matter what the issue is. Why? Cause they want black people to vote for their KKK party so they can keep black people enslaved. The KKK Democrat party wants to keep black people on the freedom-less plantation with them as your master. Are you black people gonna keep voting for the KKK Democrat Party? Notice in their speeches, they never talk about freedom and liberty. They never talk about individual rights. They want you as their slaves. Are you black people gonna keep voting for the KKK Democrat Party? Just damn.
  • Barry
    The only cool thing about 11/4/08 was the fact that a black man was elected President. But, why couldn’t it have been Herman Cain, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, etc. Instead we got a eggheaded inexperienced community agitator who hates America, wow!
  • Guy who attacked reservist thought she was a socialist
    I see Mighty Whitey is silent about the attack on the black military reservist and focused only on hatin liberals and the President. What a cracker. Now thats the painful truth.
  • YOU LIE
    Let's see:
    Those who are here illegall will have to pay too.
    But they don't pay income taxes
    You don't have to pay, but you will pay a "fine" (its really a tax)
    Emergency rooms will still have to treat all that enter.
    Just how those who are here illegally are going to be forced to pay?
    Someone isn't telling us everything!
  • who would Jesus hate?
    At least in part, I have NO idea what is/was in Mr. Wilsons mind and heart when he shouted and unless you have magic powers neither do you or Mr. Carter. I do know a huge contingent of these town hallers and tea baggers have racist signs and shout racist slogans, but not all of them! But as usual the left will go too far and the right will go too far in claiming things not in evidence.
