The White House addressed Jimmy Carter's remarks directly, saying that the president does not believe his opposition is based on skin color.

Oh ... you just gotta read this National Review editorial about Jimmy Peanut. You'll find words like "banal," and "cynical," and the wonderful phrase "incessant moral preening."

The Baucus plan? The Wall Street Journal says it's just "public option lite"

The White House is also getting involved in Massachusetts politics ... urging constituents to demand that the laws be changed so that the governor can appoint a replacement for Ted Kennedy.

Here's some information that would show you the stimulus plan just didn't work. The ObamaBots will surely tell you otherwise.

If the Democrats get their government healthcare, 45% of doctors say they would consider quitting.

I mentioned this during the Government Outrage portion of the program yesterday ... the Heritage Foundation estimates that Obama's policies would spend $10.3 trillion on welfare programs over the next decade.

The government has officially raised fuel efficiency standards to 35.5 mpg by 2016.

Another government entitlement program that may become permanent?

A union is considered to be "one of the pillars of the ACORN family." Doesn't surprise me one bit.

Here's a little reminder: ACORN was a creation of the Community Reinvestment Act. In other words .. the government.

The White House is really having to strategize as to how to handle the current conservative criticisms.

Where do we stand on our housing situation in this country? I'll tell you one thing ... more government is now in the picture.

The House is considering spending more of your tax dollars on expanding government-led research into how to make cars more fuel-efficient.

The White House is apparently collecting and storing comments and videos placed on its social-networking.

First the polar bear was placed on the endangered species list because of global warming. Now we must protect the Arctic Reindeer!

    Well Samael, I could retire early with enough assets and move them and myself offshore to Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, etc. I could live quite well there and the weather is much better.

    Of course the White House does not go along with these public comments. It's classic "good cop - bad cop". The Obama Administration let's other be critical while the President plays it "cool". There is also an element of "rope-a-dope" going on as well.

    Yes there share prices have went up, but what are doing with it.
    Are they infusing this capital in building new plants/stores? NO
    Are they using this capital for new R&D? For the most part NO
    They are sitting on it, not investing back in the into the company.

    My brothers business (commercial glazing) business is down 60% from last year. Most of the planned new commercial construction is on hold because of fears of the economy. I am glad your business is up, but that is not the norm. The Mall where I live are losing stores at an alarming rate. I have never seen so many empty office buildings here in my life.

    No President (or anyone else) should be allowed to "stop" the media for any reason. They are supposed to be our watch dog. Too bad the fringe media (love the new term for MSM) has stopped doing it's job.

    The Teen Pregnancy statistics are births rather than pregnancy. We might want to consider them both, including abortion, miscarriage, etc. (black girls are the least likely to be miscarried, if memory serves)

    Does this account for financial background? The poor (or children from single parent families) may have higher teen pregnancy rates.

    Does this account for ethnicity or cultural background? Blacks and hispanics may have higher birth rates.

  • Obama playing it cool
    Anyone else ever notice that the democrats will go off on a hate campaign, and then Obama will publically distance himself from the hate campaign while doing nothing of substance to stop it? It seems pretty freaking brilliant to me: he gets both the benefits of the hate campaign and a disclaimer saying that he isn't part of it.

    For example, last summer when the media was attacking Palin's family Obama said that the media should leave family members alone. Of course Obama didn't mean it otherwise he would have stopped the media from doing it, but this allowed him to play the hero. Likewise, here he once again gets to play the role of the hero while the hate campaign will continue to burn!

    3mbw, given that the unemployment rate is WORSE than the administration predicted it would be WITHOUT the stimulus, only in the mind of a leftist is this a success.

    But economic theory tells us it couldn't work to begin with. Since government can spend only what it has first taken from someone else (by borrowing or taxation), the spending can’t create jobs on net. So even if the government-created jobs were real jobs — in the sense that they ultimately contributed to consumer well-being according to consumers' own priorities — they were created at the cost of other productive jobs that would have been created in the absence of government intervention.

    Milton Friedman said as much 50 years ago.

    In Texas, the illegals encourage their teen girls to get pregnant in order to "drop anchor" and garner more benefits from the government. The sooner we stop supporting these parasites, the sooner they will go home to Mexico to breed.

    That study seems to be very shoddy work to me. They don't factor in that most of those states are poor and rural, which is known to be a high teen pregnancy factor, or that almost half the list have a high population of both legal and illegal immagrants, also a high risk factor, relogion asaide, it is a very incomplte study.

    So the stimulus didn't work? Let's see, the stock continues to climb, and our store continues to beat last years sales for the last few months. It takes more than 8 months to fix an 8 year mess. But Obama's policies are causing postive change. You don't need a so called Obamabot to tell you that, just look at the news.

    As for the doctors, this is just another poll and as several have pointed out already, the conservatives correctly pointed out years ago that polls mean nothing.

    Can't we find something to talk about besides ACORN? I know a lot of people who church forbids membership in the Masons, but you don't see them here condemning Presidents Washington, Monroe, Jackson, Polk, Buchanan, Johnson, Garfield, McKinley, Both Roosevelts, Taft, Harding, Truman and Ford. So why all the fuss about ACORN. Investigate and prosecute if necessary, but ACORN is not the President, ACORN is not controling our President. Unlike the Republican Party, the administration does not need an external influnce to do their thinking for them.
