As said, blissful times comes by way of ignorance. It is not one of a time actions that cause change, it grows over many years by suttle acceptance to actions such as this. Moreover, it is human behaviour to accept in passing situations like this; get annoyed this time a bit but next time it doesn't have the same resonating effect, thereby the cultural envelope is extended ever so more to acceptance...a little bit at a time. Then as the heads are eventually elevated from the sands of time, we ask "how did we get here?" Turn off your TVs and READ - GET ENGAGED. Our youth illustrate our culture! What ever happened to the American ethos that made this country the beacon on the hill? Answer: spoiled youth and our celluloid (entertainment) infactuation.

The song went along the lines of “Obama will make it beautiful, Obama will make it right”....Downright sickening as well as frightening. And what’s worse is the parents approved of it. If this happened in my kid's school....
I would stand up during the school performance and walk out. Within a few minutes I would be on the phone with the school principal, the schoolboard, and the superintendant of schools demanding an explination and the firing of the teacher. I'd threaten to get a lawyer and contact the media. If they wouldn't take appropriate steps, I would rip up my PTA card, resign from my posts, and pull my children out and start finding an appropriate school for them.

If you look at the video closely you can see that the sign says "I am Barack Obama." (I understand this to be the title of a book - however, its inclusion near the kids "choir" is disturbing.)
As previous comments have stated here, this obviously goes beyond honoring the head of this country.
Ann Coulter wrote a book about the Church of Liberalism. Seems pretty clear to me that no Judeo-Christian teachings can take place in schools on the basis of separation of church and state. However, isn't this "hymn" to Obama juxtaposed with the "I am Barack Obama" sign eerily similar to Christian doctrine that one should become like Christ - indeed, "one" with Christ?

How many instances of this have we seen lately? And I bet most of us had NO idea this crap was going on in our schools. We're going to have to take a more positive hand in the education of our young and tell the schools you want to review all material at the beginning of the year. Surely we have that right!?!

Why I homeschool
This video is a classic example (just one of many) why I homeschool my daughter and have done so since she was in kindergarten. Now she is in the 8th grade. I work nights and weekends so I am able to do so and my husband works days. We make it happen. Keeping our daughter out of this government school environment is the best thing for her!

Lots of folks are comparing this to the "Jesus Camp" video from a while back, where a clip shows someone supposedly leading a group of kids in worship of G.W. Bush. Actually, it looks more like they're blessing him or asking for blessings, but either way...
I'd like to point out to all these folks who think it's the same thing that a) there's a difference between a public educator indoctrinating a group of kids and a private institution (church) doing so, and b) it doesn't make everything "okay" when you simply point out that other people have done the same thing.
