OBAMACARE TABLETS

What a footstool ... I use the Haaaaaarvard trial lawyer bit to remind you that he will remind you of that every time you meet him.

In case you don't know this idiot, Grayson is a freshman Democrat Congressman from Central Florida. If the voters of central Florida have any sense at all this nut job will serve one term and that will be it.

Well ... here's the latest on Grayson. During an after-hours speech on the floor of the House yesterday Grayson had this to say about the Republican's approach to health care: "If you get sick, America, the Republican health care plan is this: Die quickly,"

Hear that? That's the Republican health care plan. Just die as fast as you can as soon as you get sick.

Now I realize that Obama's media myrmidons won't give the Republicans any credit for their health reform plans, so maybe Grayson just missed these points. Wanting people to be able to buy their health insurance across state lines means you want them to die, right? Wanting people to be able to deduct the cost of their health insurance they way their employers do means you want them to die, right?

Know what? I really don't have to spend a lot of time on this one, do I. You already have all the information you need to have to completely understand how underserved the good people of central Florida by having this moron in the congress. I expect they'll change that next year.

THE OBAMA MISSTATEMENTS

Well .. this certainly caused a bit of interest during yesterday's show. I got my hate-filled little right-wing talk show hosts on an article that detailed the lies - misstatements - half-truths - rhetorical tricks ... whatever ... that Barack Obama was using or delivered in his speech before congress. Turns out that South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson was a bit more than right when he yelled "you lie" at the president. Of course we now know that Wilson's outburst was driven by racism, not a concern for the truth ... but it does seem he was on to something.

Here's the story from the Wall Street Journal I was using yesterday to detail Obama's misstatements of fact. My listeners wanted me to list all 20 of the truth-challenged statements. So, here they are. For the explanations you'll have to click on the link and read the whole story.

Now I know you liberals and ObamaBots aren't going to read any further. This is too hard for you to deal with. The very idea that The Chosen one could possibly be wrong ... or, worse, actually lie to you is just too much for you to bear. So why don't you head over to The Daily Kos for your comfort food while people who actually care about the truth read on .....

Here are Obama's greatest lies ... misstatements ... and stretches of the truth as contained in his address before the joint session.

"Buying insurance on your own costs you three times as much as the coverage you get from your employer."

"There are now more than 30 million American citizens who cannot get coverage."

"And every day, 14,000 Americans lose their coverage."

"One man from Illinois lost his coverage in the middle of chemotherapy. . . . They delayed his treatment, and he died because of it."

"Another woman from Texas was about to get a double mastectomy when her insurance company canceled her policy because she forgot to declare a case of acne."

Rising costs are "why so many employers . . . are forcing their employees to pay more for insurance."

Rising costs are "why American business that compete internationally . . . are at a huge disadvantage."

"Those of us with health insurance are also paying a hidden and growing tax for those without it -- about $1,000 per year that pays for somebody else's emergency room and charitable care."

At this point, Obama said, "These are the facts. Nobody disputes them."

"[Reform] will slow the growth of health-care costs for our families, our businesses, and our government."

"Nothing in this plan will require you or your employer to change the coverage or the doctor you have. Let me repeat this: Nothing in our plan requires you to change what you have."

Requiring insurers to cover preventive care "saves money."

"The [bogus] claim . . . that we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizens . . . is a lie, plain and simple."

"There are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false. The reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally."

"Under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions."

Critics of the public option would "be right if taxpayers were subsidizing this public insurance option. But they won't be. I've insisted that like any private insurance company, the public insurance option would have to be self-sufficient and rely on the premiums it collects."

"And I will make sure that no government bureaucrat or insurance company bureaucrat gets between you and the care that you need."

"I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits -- either now or in the future." "The plan will not add to our deficit."

"Now, add it all up, and the plan I'm proposing will cost around $900 billion over ten years."

"The middle class will realize greater security, not higher taxes."

If this whole government health care thing is such a fantastic idea ... if the people want it so bad, then why does the president find it necessary or expedient to be so completely dishonest when discussing it with a national audience? Did he really think that someone wouldn't notice and list the outright lies and misstatements of fact? Did he really think he would get away with that "because she forgot to declare a case of acne" line? OK, I'll grant you, the myrmidon press wasn't going to blow his cover here; but what about those rogues on the Internet and the hate-filled, evil, violence-prone right wing radio talk show hosts? Did he think that they were somehow going to shrink before his superior rhetorical skills and the sheer power of his incredible personality?

Why is this all so important that Obama has to lie about it? Power, folks. Power. I know I'm repeating myself here, but I keep telling myself that every time I bring this up someone out there gets it. This is NOT about your health care. This is ALL about power. Control over your health care means power ... lots of power ... and power is what drives the very souls of the political class.

YEAH ... BUT HOW DOES THAT EXPLAIN 2008?

Florida governot Charlie Crist is now on record as saying that Barack Obama will not be reelected in 2012. Hopefully he is right. Let's all remember, though, that if Obama does fail to win reelection it will be for one simple reason ... and only one. Racism. There is no possible reason on the face of the earth not to support Obama for a second term. You're a racist. Simple as that. An Obama defeat in 2012 will be all the proof the world knows to know that America truly is a racist nation. Never mind that he was elected in 2008. We just didn't realize he was black then ... right?

THE GOVERNMENT OPTION FAILS

Yesterday was a minor victory for the Republicans, or anyone who is not all that anxious to see the government takeover of 18% of our economy. In the Senate Finance Committee, two amendments were defeated that would have created a government-run option to be included in the Baucus healthcare bill. Baucus himself, who is more concerned about his ego and the chance to be a hero, voted against the amendments knowing that they will ultimately doom his bill in the full Senate. A few other Democrats joined him in voting against the amendments - which were offered by Senator Rockefeller and Chuck Schumer - and they voted to reject them.

As you can imagine, Schumer and Rockefeller are less than pleased. They insist that a government option is the best way to control the rising costs of healthcare, which is otherwise at the mercy of "voracious, profit-driven private insurance companies." Unfortunately for them, that turns out to be flat-out untrue. Do you remember a few weeks ago when I told you about the "Massachusetts Model"? You see, the state of Massachusetts has a health insurance mandate, similar to what the Democrats want to set up on a national level. But it turns out that all of this government regulation did nothing to drive down costs. In fact, it made them worse. Here are a few facts to keep in mind:

Employer-based health insurance for a family of four in Massachusetts costs an average of $16,897, the average national cost is $12,700. Individual policies available in other states and underwritten by nationally known companies are not available in Massachusetts because excess regulation has destroyed the market for private health insurance.

Thanks to all of the regulation, Insurance premiums in Massachusetts rose by 7.4% in 2007, 8 to 12% in 2008 and are expected to rise by 9% in 2009. In 2007, private health insurance premiums for the rest of the US grew by only 6.0 percent.

There's more where that came from. So it is easy to understand that Chuckie Schumer and Jay Rockefeller do not care about your healthcare costs.

States across the nation are gearing up for a battle with Washington over healthcare mandates. If and when it happens, lawmakers in ten states ... and that number seems to be growing by the minute ... are creating state constitutional amendments to outlaw the health insurance mandate.

So then, not only would be have a debate about healthcare but we would have a debate about states' rights versus the federal government. If our founding fathers (I'm sorry, did I say "fathers"? I meant to say framers ... ) saw how large and far-reaching our federal government had become they would be sickened. But large government is the friend of Democrats, and the Democrats are the party in charge.

So do the states stand a chance? Constitutional scholars don't think so. But what it would do is slow down the process and cause major delays for any healthcare reform.

Oh ... and remember. The very use of the phrase "state's rights" is racist. You probably knew that anyway.

OBAMA'S TIES TO ACORN RESURFACE

Considering the latest headlines about ACORN, the organization has come under a lot of scrutiny. And with that scrutiny comes a topic that I touched on during the presidential campaign: Barack Obama's ties to ACORN. Stanley Kurtz and some other bloggers are doing some great research and uncovering more on characters like Patrick Gaspard. Ever heard of him? He is the White House Director of Political Affairs. He also has extremely close ties to ACORN and its CEO Bertha Lewis. Here's an example of what I mean:

So it's of interest that in late 1995, just as Obama was seeking New Party endorsement in Chicago, Patrick Gaspard was working as a New Party organizer in New Jersey. (This was reported in "Jersey Man Hopes to Create Third Political Party," NPR, "Morning Edition, " September 28, 1995). Then, in the July 2, 2001 issue of "The Nation," Gaspard and Bertha Lewis jointly published a reply to a June 4 Nation article by Doug Ireland which had been critical of the New York's Working Families Party (a successor to the New Party, led by New Party co-founder Dan Cantor, and largely controlled by ACORN and the SEIU). In the course of their letter, Gaspard and Lewis describe their extensive joint involvement in Working Families Party activities. The letter is signed: "Bertha Lewis, ACORN, WFP; Patrick Gaspard, SEIU State Council, WFP." This does seem to confirm and extend the new evidence of a close political tie between Patrick Gaspard and ACORN's Bertha Lewis.

We'll keep an eye on this folks. In the meantime, here's more.

CALIFORNIA WANTS A NEW TAX PLAN

California is going in the tank. Big time. And quickly. Part of the reason is because it has driven away many of the achievers. Taxing the tar out of the productive in society will do that. But it seems as though things have gotten so desperate, that someone in California has actually admitted that their tax system is driving away the wealthy and therefore decreasing tax revenues.

So a state commission came up with a report for Gov. Schwarzenegger recommending "bold changes to California's tax system. So when a state wants to get back on its feet, what does it recommend?

-Repealing the sales and corporate taxes and replace them with a new business levy that taxes net receipts

-Flattening the income tax rate to reduce the burden on the wealthy.

As we said yesterday in the Nuze ... that reducing the tax burden on the wealthy is going to doom this stuff. Those evil people have to pay their fair share you know.

At some point, Barack Obama has to start acting like President of the United States ...

The problem with Obama's government option? The public wasn't stupid enough to buy it.

Yesterday everyone seemed to have their boxers in a bunch over Obama's trip to Copenhagen to push for the Olympics to be in Chicago. Someone at National Review has calculated the cost to the taxpayers for his trip.

So the courts dismissed Dan Rather's case against CBS.

The Senate version of the cap-and-trade bill looks even worse than the House version.

Tax cheat Timothy Geithner has learned well that you should never let a good crisis go to waste.

From Kevin Hassett: When Barney Frank thinks that you are too liberal, you better check your medications.

A scientific scandal is brewing. Looks like global warming scientists are in cahoots to review each others' papers on climate change and ignore the fact that they are incorrect.

You can't make the beast-with-two-backs in your dorm room at Tuft's University if your poor horny roommate is there and not participating. Not kidding.

The federal government is considering laws on cell phone use while driving.

The news about Social Security spending more in benefits than it takes in in taxes flew under the radar. The Heritage Foundation explains how we are in desperate need for reform.

When it comes to being a homeowner, Barney Frank and the Democrats are treating people like they are infants who are incapable of making decisions without the precious guidance of government.

Russ Feingold is going to hold hearings next week on the process of appointing czars in the Obama White House.

Michael Moore says that he will work to remove any members of Congress who do not support Barack Obama's government healthcare plan.

Barack Obama wants to extend the length of a school year for government school students. How would that affect our economy?

Charlie Rangel wants Barack Obama to butt out of local politics. Gee, and to think that people used to beg Obama to get involved in local races.

North Korea's Kim Jong il has decided to delete the word "communism" from the constitution and is going to try to "get socialism right."

This sounds about right. Berkeley, California is going to try to become the first city in the world to independently try to comply with U.N. treaties on torture, civil rights and racial discrimination.

Which cities are the poorest in the nation? Keep in mind that the definition of "poverty" in this country is a joke.

Here's a list of $11 million worth of government waste and abuse.

How's this for government .... You need a permit to panhandle in Raleigh, NC.

Obamamania merchandise has slowly turned into anti-Obama merchandise.
