Tired of what? The health care debate, that's what. I'm with you .. I'm weary of the debate as well. That, though, is just what the left wants' They would love nothing more than to see the public's intense interest in their attempt to put our health care system under government control wane.

You have to stay on task, people. The left is very patient. After their earlier attempt - HillaryCare - failed in 1993 they sat back and waited. They knew they would have another shot at nationalized medicine .. and that chance came with Democrat control of Washington on January 20, 2009. The left will never give up their dream of government-controlled health care, and you can never give up fighting it.

Why is control of health care so important? No - it has nothing to do with making sure that all Americans have affordable health care. The best way to make health care affordable in this country is to bring in the all-time champion of meeting consumer needs ... the free marketplace. The left wants nothing to do with the free market though. When the free market works its magic it does nothing to empower government or the party in control of government. Look at it this way: If the private sector is doing a good job of delivering health care services to the bulk of the American people, the Democrats won't be able to use one of their favorite campaign themes when an election rolls around. They won't be able to say "Vote for the Republicans and they'll take your health care away." You, knowing that you receive your health care from the free marketplace, would see that campaign rhetoric as complete absurd.

The only thing Democrats have to sell to you in an election is government. They are the party of government. Big government - bigger government. Democrats never sell freedom. Expanding the government's grip on our economy only serves the left's quest for power .. it certainly does nothing for the people. Have you seen the evidence that government health care would be better than that delivered by the private sector? No, me neither.

OK ... getting on a rant here. It's Friday. It can wait until the congress gets back. Just don't drop your guard folks. You go to sleep for a second and the looters are going to have their government health care. The same people who can't pay auto dealers in the cash-for-clunkers debacle will be responsible for making sure your doctor is paid. You're going to love how that one turns out for you.

Oh .. and if you don't realize that government-run health care would eventually result in health care rationing .. then you really do need help.

TWEETS FROM TWITS

I got a tweet this morning from some Florida ditz who is upset that I'm not for the so-called "government option."  She wants to know if I'm against the U.S. Army too.  May God save us from idiots like this.  Ten dollars to a donut that she voted for PrezBO last year.

CHANGE THE LANGUAGE

OK .. so I'm not quite calmed down yet.  This talk of the "public option" is gnawing at one of my last nerves.  Again ... don't let the left get away with this nonsense.  Just what is the "public option?"  It's a government-run health insurance program.  It's a health insurance program that can run forever at a deficit.  It's a government insurance program that never has to make a profit ... and it's a government option designed to drive private insurance companies out of business.  Come on folks .. wake up on this.  How does a private insurance company compete with a company that can operate at a loss year after years.  Why - again - do we fall in line with the left's focus-group language so readily?   The Democrat's behavioral experts tell them that the people will react more positively to the word "public" than to the word "government."  So they take an idea for a health insurance company that would be owned by and run by the government, and they call it "public," and we go along with it?  Maybe the left has already won the battle here.

ECONOMIC POLICY BASED ON MORALITY

Vice President Joe Biden has finally figured out the difference between Democrats and Republicans. Here dumb little ole me thought it was all about more government or less government, more individual responsibility or more government dependency. Guess I was wrong. Now I have good 'ole Joe to enlighten me. The difference is morality. Yep. You got it! Democrats are moral, Republicans and (I guess) Libertarians aren't.

Joe has caught a lot of flak lately for the lack of economic impact we have seen from the $787 billion stimulus. Most Americans are of the opinion that the stimulus bill was more about pork than getting our economy on its feet. Joe's been on the defensive for a while .. but he's figured out a counterattack. The new line? Well ... the stimulus was the right thing to do "morally." The financial or economic impacts are just side-notes .. but we had a moral obligation to help people! And this is where the Democrats and Republicans differ. Joe says that the Democrats wanted to "bring relief to those who are falling into the abyss." The Republicans, of course, didn't; those moral heathens. But what's missing from Joe's assessment? The word "government." Interesting concept, don't you think? Using the police power of government to seize money from one person to give to another is "moral." Putting future generations of Americans into debt is a moral imperative. So glad Joe straightened this one out for us.

LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD

With Congress returning to Washington next week and PrezBO giving his address to a joint session of Congress, the Democrats need to figure out their healthcare plans and they need to figure them out real quick. Also .. the looters need to figure out how they are going to pay for all of this. I think that maybe ... just maybe ... the Democrats have figured out that the people of this country are not in the mood for more spending and the debt that comes along with it. So whatever the healthcare plan turns out to be, it can't contribute to the deficit or cost taxpayers more money ..... unless they are rich. That seems to be the failsafe approach to things. When in doubt, play up the wealth envy. That's exactly where we are headed.

Senate Democrats are already re-examining proposals to raise taxes on the evil, filthy, disgusting rich in order to pay for their healthcare dreams and schemes. Typical of Democrats, they will not call these tax increases. They will simply "limit tax deductions" or "let tax cuts expire." Pretty clever, huh? But the main proposal that Barack Obama is seriously considering would be to limit federal tax deductions for rich families - or, to be more accurate, the people out there who own the small businesses that provide most of America's jobs. So .. know what? Let's just substitute the word "employers" for "rich." For the most part it's accurate, but it sure changes the tone of the rhetoric.

Here we go ...

The original proposal would cap the value of itemized deductions at 28% of the total claimed by employers. Which employers? The employers whose small businesses show more than $250,000 a year in income. These are the employers who are providing 80% of all new non-government jobs in our economy, and 70% of all extant jobs.

Sounds a bit different, doesn't it?

E.U. DICTATING PRIVATE BUSINESS

The European Union has decided that it wants to get involved in the private practices of American companies. You heard that right. Foreign countries are trying to dictate compensation levels for American companies. The EU is calling for the United States to pass legislation that would link top bankers' bonuses to performance in order to curb "an excessively risky bonus culture." EU financial ministers are encouraging the G-20 to come to some sort of agreement on how "bank profits and public money for banks should be used to build up capital buffers against potential losses and not to boost dividends or pay."

I'm sure this is an idea that will find many fans in the Democrat congress. Another nail in the coffin of free enterprise.

THE SCHOOL SPEECH CONTROVERSY

This is a story that keeps on giving.

A lot of you have your thongs in a square knot over the fact that Barack Obama will be addressing school children next week. Some schools have decided that they are not going to show the speech. Others will require parent permission. But you parents are pretty upset. You're upset with me as well because I'm not all that upset. All I'm saying is to give the speech a chance. This really is a win-win situation for conservatives. If he says something that suggests "indoctrination," then conservatives can nail him. If he says something worthwhile, then what harm could it really do?

Question: What type of kool-aid do they serve in the green rooms of MSNBC? Have you been listening to these people? No wonder Dr. G and her bolt cutters have a bigger audience. Here's the latest example of MSNBC idiocy: Keith Boykin appeared on MSNBC yesterday to discuss this presidential address to students. Boykin says, "So much of the debate about President Obama has been politicized in an effort by some to delegitimize his presidency ... This is clearly much ado about nothing. We're talking about the President of the United States speaking to school kids. Why wouldn't schools want this to happen?"

Ok, I can agree with him so far. But then he goes on to say, "That's why our kids are so dumb today, because they don't want to have basic common sense in the classroom." Hey Keith, maybe our children are "so dumb today" because we send them to the government to be educated. Ever think about that?

To get you started this Friday ... talking to an attractive woman really can make a man lose his mind, according to a new study.

It's been a while since we have had a solid column on global warming. From Jonah Goldberg ...

Ed Feulner explains what happened to the Democrats in August. It's easy: YOU happened.

The Congressional Black Caucus is worried that President Obama is going to ditch the government option on healthcare reform.

The "Group of Six" is back at it again today after a two week hiatus in healthcare negotiations.

Here's another Congresswoman you can vote out of office ... Rep. Louise Slaughter says that she isn't going to hold townhall meetings because "she doesn't want to give those people and forum" and it would be beneath the "dignity of her office."

Yesterday I told you about Obama's green czar Van Jones. Turns out that Van Jones is a "truther." Man, Obama sure does know how to pick 'em.

The Democrat healthcare bill will increase Medicare drug coverage premiums by 20%. So much for lowering costs.

There's one government agency that could gain a lot of power if the Democrats get their way with healthcare reform. Any guesses?

For all of the dealer that participated in cash for clunkers but have yet to be paid (they were supposed to be paid within 10 days), the government says you will have your payments by September 30th.

Back in 1991, Bush Sr. made a speech to government school students ... and people weren't too crazy about that idea then either.

Senator James Inhofe says, "I never dreamed I would see an administration try to disavow all the things that have made this country different from all others."

Who is in charge of scrutinizing how the bailout money is being spent? Seems our government officials have the same question.

Stay classy Fortney "Pete" Stark.

What time of day do you think is the peak usage time for Americans to be surfing the Internet?

Now for a list of four problems that could sink America.

How about another list? Here are 21 things that you can't say to Barack Obama while he is on vacation.

Alright, one more ... how about a list of 13 things that don't make sense.

A little more nonsense, here's yet another photo gallery of ridiculous tattoos.
