You didn't know that? Well, now you do. If you have an Amazon.com Kindle you can subscribe to Nealz Nuze and have it downloaded to your Kindle every day. It's going to set you back about 99 cents a month. Wow! What a deal! Just search in the Kindle store for "The Neal Boortz Show - Nealz Nuze"

I'm always the last to know, but it would seem that the Mother ship (News Talk 750 WSB) in Atlanta has changed our audio streaming client. Here's the link. Pretty impressive, actually. The sound quality rivals FM. Hopefully it will give many more people to enjoy the offensiveness and insensitivity of the Church of the Painful Truth. If it isn't working for you, here's our trouble-shooting page.

Blackberry folks, try pointing your browser to wsbradio.com/mobile. Sounds like it's not automatically redirecting there for some of you. You'll have a mp3 stream option there. It'll take a 3rd party app to make that work. We don't support phones. But I'll point you toward helpful information. Wifi radio users, get your provider to update the link associated with WSB's broadcast. I know receiva.com has updated their link and it should be working soon. Don't know about any of the others. -ww

THE GOVERNMENT OPTION .... DEAD?

Oh, I know .. the libs prefer to call it the "public option." The love to apply the "public" word to all things government ... schools, for instance ... because they know that word sets better with - the public! Go figure! Fact is, though, that it's government through and through .. and as Slobbering Barney would say, if you think that the government does things well ... what planet have you been living on? Government can't even handle a simple used care trade-in deal.

Anyway ..... word this morning is that Obama has abandoned his plans for a government-run health insurance program in his so-called health car "reform" plan. The approach here was clear. The government option was the path to a single-player health care system; and the single payer would be the (of course) the government. That would mean total government control over your health care ... whoever is paying the bills runs the show.

I love what Obama advisor David Axelrod said to Politico in an interview. "It's time to synthesize and harmonize these strands and get this done." Oh yeah! That's just what the American people have been waiting for. We're upset because there just hasn't been enough synthesizing and harmonizing. That's been the problem all along, right? That's what we've needed all along. Synthesizing and harmonizing. Put those elements together with all that hopey and changey stuff ... and we're in grand shape!

Cool it Boortz ... back to the issue ...

So Obama is going to present a list to congress of just what he wants in a new health care plan. Word is that the government option isn't going to be on that list. A fine list it is sure to be though. I can't wait to see what this community organizer with swell slogans is going to come up with.

The Obama White House knows how to boost those popularity ratings. Attack the evil greedy capitalists of Wall Street. So, according to Politico, Obama is going to call for some grand new restrictions on Wall Street. He wants to show his faltering supporters that he is determined to punish the evil capitalists who started all of this ....

... except it wasn't started by evil capitalists. It was started by government. It was government, not Wall Street, that decided anyone who wanted to buy a home should be able to do so. It was government, not Wall Street, that encouraged lenders to make loans who people who clearly could not afford to buy a home. It was government, not Wall Street, that set up a system whereby these worthless loans would guaranteed by government.

Not that anyone really cares ...........

DID YOU HEAR THAT OBAMACARE ORGANIZER

Skokie, Illinois. It's a town hall meeting. Not sure, but I pretty sure the meeting was for Democrat Jan Schakowsky. Anyway ... someone with a camera managed to video an organizer from a group called Health Care for America Now briefing the people waiting in line as to how to handle those in the audience who aren't particularly fond of the idea of nationalized health care.

Well .. guess you're going to have to listen to the show to hear the sound bite. Good stuff.

Hey, let's hear from the other side.

OBAMA'S ADDRESS TO STUDENTS

By now, most of you parents have jeopardized your children's future by sending them off to the government to be educated. You didn't do it out of malice .. but do it you did. You put them on a school bus this morning where, essentially, they will go and learn to be good little government subjects. The government school goal is to make you're your spawn learn just enough to get by, but not enough to ask the hard questions or think for themselves. Don't believe me? Well that is, in fact, the purpose of government education. Don't take it from me, take it from this guy who was a helluvalot smarter than me. That guy would be H.L. Mencken. Here are two quotes I want you to absorb from Mencken about government education:

"The aim of public education is not to spread enlightenment at all: it is simply to reduce as many individuals as possible to the same safe level, to breed a standard citizenry, to put down dissent and originality."

"And what is a good citizen? Simply one who never says, does or thinks anything that is unusual. Schools are maintained in order to bring this uniformity up to the highest possible point. A school is a hopper into which children are heaved while they are still young and tender; therein they are pressed into certain standard shapes and covered from head to heels with official rubber-stamps."

Well .. here comes some more rubber stamping. On September 8th ... that's next Tuesday ... your children are going to get a welcome back to school speech from none other than President Obama. Teachers are getting ready. Perhaps you would like to read this memo from the Department of Education as to how teachers should handle this first-ever event.

OK .. everybody out there just calm down. You should have seen the email that came crashing in last night ... Obama's little talk has a mighty good number of panties in a complete wad. So let's relax for a bit and see what Obama intends to do.

We get this preview from the DOE:

"The President will challenge students to work hard, set educational goals, and take responsibility for their learning. He will also call for a shared responsibility and commitment on the part of students, parents and educators to ensure that every child in every school receives the best education possible so they can compete in the global economy for good jobs and live rewarding and productive lives as American citizens."

As if that wasn't enough, as I told you the federal Department of Education has put together a worksheet for teachers across America so that they can properly prepare their students for the President's speech. There are some little gems in this worksheet that could be troublesome. Pretty much what you would expect, though, from government.

An example: In the teacher's worksheet the teacher is urged to discuss with the students the following questions:

  • What do you think the president wants us to do?
  • Does the speech make you want to do anything?
  • Are we able to do what President Obama is asking of us?
  • What would you like to tell the president?

Well .. how about a few more questions from the Talkmaster:

  • What are the constitutional limits on this president's power?
  • Is the president asking us to do things that are really outside of his designated powers?
  • SHOULD we do what President Obama is asking of us?
  • Do you feel the president was talking to you, or with you?

It's hard to really flesh this out until we hear Obama's speech. Trust me ... we'll be listening, and hoping for the best.

MY ADDRESS TO STUDENTS ACROSS AMERICA

So Barack Obama is going to give this little speech to students across this nation. Yeah, yeah I know ... I'm sure that students in private schools will be watching too, but students in government schools will be REQUIRED to watch and participate.

So I've come up with a little treat of my own. Next week, I am going to give the Boortz address to government school students. This is the speech that students in this country SHOULD be hearing, but won't. I challenge any of you government school teachers to include my version of Obama's address in your lesson plans ... see how long it takes for your administration to put a stop to that.

TAXING THE TAR OUT OF THE ACHIEVERS

Don't think that this isn't already happening in America, folks. Business, entrepreneurs, the achievers, the job creators can only last so long under an oppressive tax system. When I say "oppressive" I mean a system that punished achievement. While our tax system is nothing to brag about, the UK has income tax rates topping out at 50%.

What's the result? Brain drain. According to a survey by a leading accounting firm, one out of every five entrepreneurs says that they would not start a business again under the present system in Great Britain. At that, 90% believe that the UK is at "serious risk of brain drain" because of tax increases. Out of the 350 small businesses questioned, 89% believes that business talent will move abroad seeking more favorable conditions, and 12% say that there is a significant chance that they would move their own business.

Nigel May of the accounting firm MacIntyre Hudson says, "The Government's optimistic forecasts for recovery are based on the assumption that Britain's entrepreneurs will continue to innovate, build, work and take risk as they have before ... What the Chancellor may have overlooked is that these essential activities for future growth rely on the very people his so-called 'targeted' tax rises hit the hardest."

That is exactly what I have been saying about Barack Obama and the Democrats in this country. Their economic principals are flawed ... you can't tax people who make over $250,000 and expect our economy to recover. These are small business owners who create most of the jobs in this country. These are the people who provide paychecks. Who invest in our economy. Who donate to charity.

This is why the FairTax is so appealing to businesses. Tax burdens do make an impact on business owners. Without our imperial federal tax structure, trillions of dollars could return to this country. Imagine what THAT would do for our economy?

FIGHTING THOSE RIGHT-WING TERRORISTS

You'll get a kick out of this. On this Organizing for America website (mybarackobama.com), liberals in Illinois have decided how they are going to push for government healthcare. Their brilliant idea is to use 9/11 as a day to inundate lawmakers with phone calls in support of government healthcare. Fine. They can do what they want ... but the message itself is priceless. It goes a little something like this:

All 50 States are coordinating in this - as we fight back against our own Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists who are subverting the American Democratic Process, whipped to a frenzy by their Fox Propaganda Network ceaselessly re-seizing power for their treacherous leaders.

DO YOU WANT to ensure passage of the Public Plan? Since 75% of Americans support it, I guess it's time for us Seventy-Five Percenters to be heard. Why Public Plan? = Because It's American To Take Care Of Our Own!

Oh there's more .. but I'm afraid that you might lose more brain cells if you keep reading. But sure not to miss the part where they suggest that conservatives are "the heirs of yes, bin Laden."

Gotta love it.

Listen to this union organizer explain how to properly disrupt these townhall meetings on healthcare.

Harsh interrogations work. Bring me my toolbox, will ya? I'm just about as fed up as I could possibly be with all this politically correct Wussification nonsense.

The Justice Department (that would be Eric Holder) has decided that it is going to recharge civil rights enforcement in certain areas of American life like voting, housing, etc.

Oh come on now. Obama wouldn't go this far, would he? Imagine if Bush had tried something like this.

Is the law finally going to catch up with Charlie Rangel? What hasn't this clown gotten away with in the past few decades?

Within the next 60 days, we will have the government pay czar's decision on executive compensation levels for TARP recipients.

Good Doggie!

"What about all those greedy capitalists?" By the way .. I'm not buying into the definition of "greed" in this column. Who gets to decide how much you "need?"

Here's a real shocker ... Barack Obama cannot fund his healthcare reform with a surtax on the top 1% of earners.

Barack Obama has decided that he is going to roll back federal pay raises.

Here are some ideas from Investor's Business Daily on how we can cut healthcare costs without rationing ... by putting patients back in charge of their healthcare.

The European Union really wants the United States to commit to global reductions in carbon emissions.

If the Democrats want to pass their cap-and-tax bill, it looks like they are going to have to figure out things amongst their own party first.

How much do you know about Barack Obama's "green czar," Van Jones?

Massachusetts businesses that once benefited from Ted Kennedy's position in Congress are now worried that they are going to lose their perks.

Is America headed down a self destructive path guided by none other than the ideas of the former Soviet Union? Just take a look at the tactics of Soviet psychological warfare.

Watch out. The imperial federal government may have something to say about ... your garage sale.

Milk drinkers and cheese eaters are mutants?
