You'll see an article in the reading assignments where Charles Krauthammer says that ObamaCare 1.0 is dead. Perhaps so, and if that's the case those evil, hate-spewing, conservative, Nazi right-wing talk show hosts had better watch their backs.

I'm guessing the looters will retaliate ... big time. They've enacted a little boycott of Glenn Beck that has sent his Fox TV ratings through the roof. They must hate that, but you know they won't learn from it. My guess is that you're going to see a widely-organized leftist attack on all companies, big and small, that dare to advertise on conservative talk radio shows. Some companies (Bose comes to mind) will cave. But other advertisers will rush in to fill in the gaps as the ratings for these shows go up.

The death of ObamaCare must be avenged. I'm watching my back.

Maybe it wasn't your political views so much as people don't want to buy $500 FM radios?

"But if you think the shoe fits you Cinderella."

ROFLOL! Okay, that's the funniest one today and SO TRUE! You are definitely on a roll today.

    ROTFLMAO.....

    Hey Snark,

I didn't mention you by name, yet you took the bait hook, line, and sinker!

You ever hear that song by Carly Simon..."You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you."?

But if you think the shoe fits you Cinderella.

VoR- I am also ROTLMAO at you. Yeah buddy, it is an us versus them. If you consider yourself a fence sitter, I am laughing even louder. You know what I say to fence-sitters? Sit there long enough and you will be pulling splinters out of your behind!

I am having too much fun today.
  • The left's slow, inexorable march towards state-run media
ABC/NBC/CBS have become nothing less than the soviet-era version of Pravda.

Anyone who doesn't tow the party line is "un-American, racist" etc. blah blah blah blah.

Lock and load, the revolution is coming.

boycott anything?? It's not like they have any money to boycott with, well other that their welfare checks.
  • @Matt
/If you ever want to know where these people get their ideas, go to Democrat Underground or Daily Kos./

Here again we see the typical "them vs. everyone else" mentality of the right winger. In spite of saying countless time that I am not a liberal nor do I visit either of the two sites he mentioned, this same tired old thing is thrown out.

Post of the day...maybe even the week!
  • VoR and his ilk
If you ever want to know where these people get their ideas, go to Democrat Underground or Daily Kos. Kos' policies are downright militaristic to even get a screen name, but you will get a good dose of the Moonbatism and Elitist mentality.

The key point to remember, these people think you are stupid. They think you don't know what is good for you. They pontificate their hot air from their soap box and stare down their noses at you. The truth is, they cling to the nanny state. Mommy and Daddy bought them everything they ever had, paid for their college, and wiped their a$$es for them until they were 25. This is where their entitlement mentality comes from. They don't have a pair large enough to try to make it on their own, and if government failed or could not provide, they would be the first ones picked off in the ensuing chaos. This is why they have to defend their nanny at all costs. These are meek, timid whiners that scream for their Mommies very loudly. They hide behind their screen names here, but if you encountered them one-on-one, they would mumble and walk away with tears in their eyes as you lambasted them with your logic.

'Nuff said. Ignore a growling dog and 9 times out of 10, it goes away. For the 1 out of 10 that tries to bite, smack it hard enough and it will whimper away with its tail between its legs.
  • Fairness Doctrine anyone?
The healthcare debate seems like a perfect issue to move forward in re-enacting the Fairness [sic] Doctrine.

The Left has enraged the Right, Center, and even Left-of-Center in fierce debate. It's been a #1 topic on all talk radio shows.

If the Dems can't move the bill past the House, then it wouldn't surprise me to see them move to control how information being distributed to thereby stifle debate. Destroying politically opinionated, commercial talk radio or television shows would be first.

We see it in the harassment of the advertisers already.
  • Don't worry Neal...
I'll watch your back. We're the order of Fun-loving Libertarians, sworn to prtoect truth, justice and the American way!!
  • "liberal capitalist"?
    Isn't that an oxymoron?
  • Hmmmm ... a boycott by
the folks that don't have two dimes to rub together unless there's change left over from their foray at the boozer ... whoop-de-doodle-dee-doo.

Now if it was a boycott by the folks that actually earns the money they got in their pocket to spend, uh-oh!
  • not just the boycott
Though it certainly helped, the boycott is not the only reason for the improved ratings. Glenn Beck is also using this week to present a list of reasonable questions that
    (a) the mainstream media is not asking the White House or Congress, but should.
    (b) the White House and members of Congress ignore or sidestep the questions if they are asked.

As for whether the information he presented is false, nobody in the Obama administration nor in Congress has stepped forward to deny or clarify any of what he has addressed this week. And there have been some startling questions.

I normally only catch Beck's show about once a week. But this week I have watched part or all of every show, and it's not because of the boycott. In fact, I haven't even heard Beck refer to the boycott during the shows I watched, though it *may* have come up in the Wednesday show on free speech infringements. I missed part of that one.
  • Fight Back...
Go to defendglen.com to support Beck. It is a great site that compiled the list of companies who are CAVING in to these libtards. It also compiled the list of companies who are sticking with Beck.

Fight back. The contact info is on this site for the companies who caved. Tell them you will boycott them for caving in.

I will be doing that this weekend. I have had Brinks (now Broadview)security for a long time. They are one of the turncoats. I will be cutting them off. Ironically, this is the same company who plays racial politics by always having the white guy as a criminal in their commercials.

Support the companies who are not caving in. Let them know.

I urge you to see the website and look at the companies who are turncoats.
  • JoeShmoe
It's probably just the lingering effects of some IV Versed I had yesterday for a medical procedure that my Private health insurance paid for.
    Thanks for the props.
  • Not your usual Ashvilleian
Ooh ooh! I can't wait to start watching Glenn Beck! I don't even watch, but when stupid crap like this surfaces, it's fun to watch the ideas of the morons on the far left tank. That reminds me, I am going to have to find out where the closest Whole Foods is so I can plan a shopping trip!
  • @ Shuttin'
    Man, wish I'd wrote that.
  • The capitalist solution!
Neal and his worshippers should relish the "boycott" approach. This approach (organizing advertiser boycotts) does NOT involve "fairness doctrines", "equal time laws", censorship, the FCC, or any other whining to the government.

It is a purely free-market capitalistic approach to achieve what some see as a desired end: to restore healthy, fact-based, respectable debate to the airwaves, as opposed to the current environment where a bunch of right wing blowhards who lie, distort, and spread hatred rule the airwaves and control their pathetic armies of blind obedient sheep who listen to and watch this junk hour after hour, day after day; a constant diet of the same predictable talking points from GOP Central Command.
  • VoR
    Why are you here?
Why are you listening and participating in conservative discussions?
Why are you subjecting yourself to the same "misinformation" that the rest of us fools choose to waste our time with?
Why do you care so much if we are getting the "wrong ideas" from Limbaugh and Beck and that total psycho Levin?
Why can't you just let us live in and with our misery?
What are you trying to accomplish here, because you're probably wasting your time with most of us Nazis and morons, ya know?
I'm just too stupid to ever be able to grasp why my current way of thinking is so wrong. I think I must have a very low I.Q., and I'm told I am a racist too, which I'm not very proud of by the way. (I wonder if there is a positive correlation between low intelligence and bigotry? I should be studied.)
You need not fret about the future of this great country. There will never be enough voter turnout to change the tide of what's happening, or will happen eventually, so what are you worried about? The C4C showed me that - so many people of so many mindsets bit on that lure and got hauled into the boat. It's working! Your hand-wringing is unnecessary - so relax buddy - you guys got it in the bag. Go out tonight and have a beer or two with some friends and raise your glasses to the New World Order.
    And have a great weekend!
  • Voice of NonReason
You never answered my question: What has Beck said that was untrue?

You are spreading misinformation yourself, can we fine you? You don't like Beck because he is exposing your idol.
  • Smart companies need not worry
With Fox news ratings sky high, and talk show ratings at an all time high, advertisers need not worry if they are smart. They are interested in numbers of listeners and viewers mainly.

But then again any person who shells out $500 for the world's most expensive clock radio (you know which company I am talking about) isn't very smart and probably shouldn't be listening to conservative radio shows.
  • Now you know how it feels
I have to watch my back all my live from republican klansmen and neo-nazis. It is scary but you will get over it Neal. Honestly I dont think a party that preaches peace is going to resolve to violence on an Atlanta radio host
  • Watching the Back
I don't think Neal really needs to be worried because like I said yesterday, although he is leaning more to the right than I feel he should, he is not a right winger. And he is not afraid of opposing viewpoints, as demonstrated by this forum.

I also proposed how to deal with the likes of Limbaugh and Beck and their misinformation. Just fine the radio station or cable system that retransmitts it. The stations/cable system's bottom line will handle the rest.
