Problems getting through the question submission engine, so I'll try posting them here:

(1) What prevents Congress from hiking the "Fair" Tax rate once it's in place?

(2) What prevents Congress from lowering (or eliminating) the "deduction" floor for high achievers (just like they "progressify" the income tax)?

(2) What prevents Congress from levying additional taxes (tariffs, sin taxes, green taxes, income surtaxes--you name it, they can tax it)?

Boortz, you know the only reason you keep harping on this stupid idea is because there's a huge demand for "Fair" Tax screeds from the "dumb masses" who listen to the likes of you, O'Reilly, & Cutie-Pie, buy your inane books, & keep you ridiculously wealthy relative to your intellectual ability.

The only real chance there has ever been to affect REAL change in government is through revolution, & only an idiot would think THAT could possibly work now.

We (current citizens & our ancestors) have tolerated the expansion of government for too long, & it is too large, too powerful, too arrogant, too far-reaching & too well-armed to overthrow.

There may be faint flares of hope from time to time in the future, but Leviathan is beyond repair.

All that is left is to patiently wait for its collapse. In the meantime, teach your children well, so that whatever generation it is that inherits the rubble of our downfall will have some small hope of getting it right the next time around.

I see that Friday's thread about the 'Fair'Tax was deleted. Too many holes poked in the 'Fair'Tax in that thread, eh?
