For all of my listeners at WDBO in the Orlando area, listen up. You elected this pathetic excuse for a Congressman, Alan Grayson. Here's your chance to have some face-time. Now today is Monday August 17th and the health care town hall is tonight. But Jamie Dupree points out the fact that Alan Grayson set this town hall meeting yesterday. Yep, you have approximately one day's notice to show up at this event. Do you think it could have anything to do with the fact that Grayson knows what would happen if he gave you people even more time to plan to attend? The guy is a lot of things, but he definitely isn't an idiot ... he knows that there are a lot of you who do not support the Democrat plan for healthcare reform. But that's not really what he cares about, is it? Nope. Alan Grayson has one solitary goal in mind: stay in power. Get re-elected. Don't goof up enough for the great people of Orlando to notice. So here's your chance to tell him exactly what you think.

WHAT: Health Care Town Hall

WHEN: Monday, August 17, 2009, 7:45 p.m.

WHERE: IBEW Local 606 Union Hall, 820 Virginia Drive, Orlando, FL

DETAILS: Congressman Alan Grayson will host a town hall meeting to discuss the need for health care reform, listen to concerns or answer questions from the constituents he serves, and debunk the many myths being circulated about the current proposals. The Congressman intends for and expects this event to be a respectful and productive discussion. This is the second public health care meeting the Congressman has held during the summer district work period. On July 27th, he met with about fifty members of his Health Care Advisory Board. The meeting was announced 72 hours in advance, open to the public, and promoted and covered by multiple media outlets. The Congressman also will conduct a health care telephone town hall on Thursday, August 20th at 7 p.m. People interested in being a part of that event can sign up on the Congressman's website.

Grayson is a one-term looter. Remind him of that if you should get the opportunity.

  • Town hall sham
    I was there. 90% of the people outside standing in line were against this plan. There were only 125 seats inside and over 100 of them were filled with the union members who stayed after their meeting let out. When the doors opened only 20 people from outside were allowed in and most of the first dozen in line were graysons own supporters. At one point grayson asked for a show of hands of who voted for obama and 90% raised their hands. Tell me that was not a rigged meeting.

    Of the 500 or so people outside who showed up clearly 90% were against this bill. Now, we move inside where over 100 of the approximate 124 seats were already filled with union members staying after from a union meeting that ended just before this. So, when the doors opened only 20 people were allowed in. At one point grayson blundered and asked how many of the people inside voted for obama. Easily 90% rose thier hands. This was no town hall. It was a stacked crowd. Shameless and about as far from democratic as you can get.

    1.Meeting Held late so seniors that are reluctant to drive at night are left out along with parents of small children.
    2.The location: Building only holds 130 people with parking for thirty cars. The 8th Congressional district in 2008 had nearly 350,000 voters with a district population well over 600,000. (.04% of his voters)
    3.The Building is owned by one of Grayson’s biggest union supporters, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Works. Is this more union thug intimidation?
    4.The timing: (24 hours) to cut down turn out.
    Grayson is the epitome of what represents us in Washington. A cowardly, conniving, corrupt carpet bagger!

  • Good luck getting in
    Grayson rode in on Obama's coattails and the fact that the incumbent he was running against was actively violating his oath not to seek this reelection. Unfortunately, District 8 could not field anyone worth a darn...thus...Grayson. Moreover, Grayson simply bullet-pointed the Democrat platform and claimed that that was what he stood for. He is simply a water boy and a myrmidon (one of Neal's favorite terms) for Obama. He appears to represent himself and his own interests to his exclusive club, not the people he represents. Of course, again, he won because the Democrats voted in force and voted often for Obama and everyone with Democrat next to their name.

    I am going to the meeting. I am not going to disrupt anything. I do want to find out why there was not any real notice for this meeting (it is in today's Sentinel) and the previous meeting he held. Also, there appears to be only about 25 parking spaces at this union hall and the blogs are asking Democrats to show up in force. They state that the entrance will be manned with union representatives allowing in only listed union members for the earlier meeting at the hall

    This meeting is only for NFIB members and small business owners and is not open to the general public. The discussion will center around the proposed healthcare plan's impact on small business, and ask that you make plans to attend and participate.

    We expect that limiting attendance to small business owners will produce an effective, while perhaps vigorous, dialogue, but not the hostile outcome seen in other recent town hall meetings.

    There is no cost for the meeting, but pre-registration is required. We are limiting attendance only in the interest of allowing for input from as many business owners as possible.

    Grayson wants your money! No doubt about it.

    At least he tells you he wants it, and lets you know where it is going.

    He's been a TIGER in exposing where you're money's going, that you don't know about.

    Let's say he supports a ONE TRILLION dollar "Healthcare" bill. At least you know what he (and you) voted for. BUT, take this. He's questioning the Inspector General of the Federal Reserve concerning NINE BILLION dollars of "off the books" expenditures.

    Not trying to be partisan in the least, but I'd want Grayson representing me before I'd want Ms. Coleman.

    Grayson is a Big Government Liberal. He has no hesitation telling us he wants to spend a mere TRILLION DOLLARS. Isn't it at least or more important that he's trying to find out what happened to NINE TRILLION dollars that neither he nor any member of congress voted for?

    In this short quip, Grayson seems to be at least a little concerned over what happened ( off the books? ) with more than ONE TRILLION DOLLARS.

    Grayson is attacking who's really in control... the people in charge of inflating our money supply.

    As far as I'm concerned, Grayson is totally above-board when compared to The Fed. He admits he's spending money, and you can see where it goes. The Fed? - Hahahahahahaha...

    Well, at least Congressman Grayson is holding meetings. Try finding out what meetings NC's Senatory Kay Hagen is speaking at. She works "commando" style, swooping into towns without notice and then making a quick exit, that is....when she's not too busy fund-raising.

  • Orlando Town Hall Meeting
    How convenient to have the meeting at a union hall. I guess that way they could count on their bouncers not getting lost on the way to the meeting. Why not have it at the local VFW hall or Armory? My advice, park a couple of blocks away and walk in so the "valet"/parking lot attendants won't know which cars to vandalize while you are inside speaking your mind, that is, if you can get inside amongst the thuggery.

    Hot Air is compiling a list of representatives who are to cowardly to hold town hall meetings. Some are MIA while others are being devious, like Grayson (who is on the list). Soem are holding tele-conferences and morning coffees - they will take no questions.

    Only one day????? Is Grayson kidding???? I am going to try to make it there.
    I have been to the local tv news websites and there is absolutely NOTHING about this meeting posted. I may have missed something, but I don't think so. I am not surprised. Orlando has become such a obama town. The place has changed in the past few years; more drugs, more gangs, more crime, more murders. It is turning into a little Miami. I'm not surprised the local news stations are not publicizing this meeting.

    I'm ashamed to say this clown was elected by my fellow Floridians. I don't think he's that dumb though. I mean, holding his "town hall" at a union hall? Anybody want to bet on who gets admitted and who doesn't?

    Oh yes, and by the way, both Grayson and Kosmas have had ads running constantly on the evening news asking us to "thank them" for all their hard work. The ads are paid for by some kind of pharmaceutical corporation.

I noticed when we got our pamplet in the mail for "Congressman Tom Perriello Town Meeting" to discuss things like this in our area, that NOWHERE in the print was the word DEMOCRAT or DNC or anything that would indicate whether or not that clown was a Dem or a Repub. It's hilarious. They're embarrassed and it's turning into self hate. Things are getting better Neal.

    Grayson I believes supports getting the Fed audited so this is a good thing. But get Grayson to make the connection between Federal healthcare and law violation. Ask him what he will do to REMOVE the Federal Govt from having anything to do with healthcare.... since the constitution does not give him(or Obama) the authority to get involved with it.

    And I'm also sure that had "W" proposed a gun control town hall at NRA headquarters the bed wetters would have been fine with that as well.
