Is there a connection? Why yes! There is!

Just yesterday we learned that Obama's Attorney General, the ethically-challenged Eric Holder, is appointing a special prosecutor to go after the CIA agents who saved American lives by using somewhat harsh interrogation techniques against Muslim terrorist detainees. Never mind that both Obama and Holder had made earlier promises that they would not pursue a vendetta against these operatives. That was then, and this is now ... and now the uber-left is demanding some sort of legal action against the Bush Administration for what they view as the horrors of the Bush years. After all, "we won," so why can't we prosecute the losers? The political bloodlust of the left must be assuaged!

In the midst of all of this I want to remind you of something. During the election last November a group of Black Panther goons stood outside of a polling place in downtown Philly. They were wearing paramilitary costumes and were carrying nightsticks. As white voters would approach this polling place these thugs would yell "You are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker!"

Well .. this happened to be against the law. One former civil rights lawyer and publisher of the liberal Village Voice called the episode "one of the most blatant forms of voter intimidation I've ever seen." So here comes the Justice Department. The BUSH Justice Department. At the beginning of January a civil lawsuit was filed against the New Black Panther Party and three of its goons for violation of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. None of the defendants would even file a response to the lawsuit. Perhaps they knew that they had nothing to worry about.

And so it came to be!

Just what do you think happened to this action against the Black Panthers? Why, it was dismissed! Eric Holder allowed these goons to walk. Lawsuit dismissed. One defendant was told that he could never carry a weapon within 100 feet of a polling place again .. the other three walked away.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is Obama's Attorney General. He will permit Black Panther thugs to intimidate white U.S. Voters, but if you work for the CIA, and if you're charged with the responsibility of discovering information on future terrorist attacks against our people - if your job is to save American lives instead of intimidate white voters - you had better lawyer up. Eric Holder is coming after you with guns blazing.

Elections have consequences. Black Panthers walk. CIA operatives get put under investigation.

    I guess Holder thought they were't dangerous enough. Do a Google image search for either of their names. There are dozens of pictures of them brandishing firearms in full military-style uniform. These are domestic terrorists! They should be treated the same as any other terrorist who threatens to attack America!

    and I think it is ABSOLUTELY of the upmost importance that we get to the bottom of this CIA torture issue. I have seen statements made General Taguba that he witnessed detainees being sodomized by American soldiers. I am talking male to male sexual intercourse. He also said that female detainees were forced into performing lewd sexual acts with American soldiers and contractors. This is the unfortunate truth. The people responsible for these acts of cruelty should hang by their neck until dead. THAT is how I feel about this. And to those that deny this happened SCREW OFF. You need to get it into your head that the America you THOUGHT you knew doesn't exist. Our leadership is out of control and they are straight up tyrants. Clinton, Bush, and Obama are all tyrants. They are bought and paid for by our offshore banker oligarchs. This is just the very tip tip of the iceberg. The corruption is so deep and disgusting it is completely mind-boggling.

    there were some older people that were interviewed who turned around and left, they said they might come back later

    It was wrong of the Black Panthers to do that. No one should be within 100 yds of the place if they don't work there or if they are on their way in to vote. Otherwise, keep it clear.

    I saw them standing in front of the entrance, but I wouldn't say they were blocking it...unless you're really terrified of big black men with clubs. People were still going in and out.

    Maybe they should be questioned too. I think they have overstepped themselves in assisting the Gitmo detainees. They have put many of our citizens in danger if any of these terrorists make it back home or communicate with their own people

    I find myself wondering what is going to happen at the mid-term elections. Will ACORN, SEIU, and company be out there in droves, intimidating people at the polls? You know they won't get charged. What's worse, THEY know they won't get charged.

    I suspect that the Black Panthers in question were not accosted by anyone, because people had a little more faith in the system of justice at the time. Do you think if they try this crap again, there will be an all out brawl? The system can't be trusted to protect the voters, obviously.

    Next elections, I will definitely be bringing a piece with me. Although the Black Panthers really didn't do anything but mumble threats at people...I'd have gone in anyway.

    Neal you had better watch your back now! The last person to talk about the black panthers being set free by obama was Hal Turner back in July and look at what obama is doing to him now! You will soon be arrested on some trumped up charge of "dangerous communications" what ever that is supposed to mean!     If you post policemen outside a polling place to ensure there is no violence, that is voter intimidation and MUST be stopped - because everyone knows, without trying to sound racist here, that black people are ALWAYS intimidated if they come within sight of a police officer. If you ask ALL voters to present some sort of official photo ID before voting, THAT is voter intimidation, because everyone knows that black people are afraid of their drivers licenses. But have ARMED Black Panther thugs, dressed for the express purpose of intimidation and making threatening statements outside a voting place - and white people just better suck it up because we should understand that this was nothing more than an impromptu display of Obama support.

    The Black Panthers action here are wrong for many reasons. The one that confuses me is that it will almost certainly produce a result different from what they wish.

    So they tell a white person that black people will rule them soon and posture that this will be a Bad Thing for said white person. Assuming that said white person is allowed in the polls and not scared away, and all other things being equal are they going to vote for the black guy or the white guy?

    I think Panthers were pushing people into voting against the black guy (whom one would suppose that they support).

    Or am I confused?

    Obama's administration will undoubtedly be remembered as the most corrupt and damaging regime in American history (this includes Wilson, FDR, and Clinton...combined). How this crap continues to be tolerated is something I am unable to figure out.

    It is beyond obvious the Chicago-machine steamroller style of this Administration. We as a people must change to make-up of Congress next year. When that is accomplished, neuter the balance of the Administration to return things to a balance.

    Liberals as a rule have no ethics or moral compass. When to many are in positions of power you see what we have been seeing since 20Jan '09.

    I am not too worried by this current batch of left wingers, They wont be here long, I remember the same persecutions by the Carter admin. and the Clinton debackle, So they might try to hamper an Agency that the left has always feared/despised but this type of exposure does the left in every time.
    From my perspective these powerhungry leftists will be in for a huge let down next election cycle.

    This is bringing to light something I have always wondered: Why Is the "Justice Department" part of the Executive Branch. Isn't our balance of powers set up so the courts are under the Judicial Branch?
    I'm so confused. And not a bit surprised by this. Outraged, yes. But not surprised. This is what I would expect from a bastardization of the Framers intention. (There is no "Justice department" in the Constitution, it was added later, I think)
