Yes .. it will be the same Boortz show, but with a bit of a twist. For the ninth year in a row we are doing our WSB Care-a-Thon today and tomorrow at the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. I know times may well be a bit rough for you right now ... but times may be a bit rougher for parents whose children are suffering from childhood cancer. Trust me --- every dollar helps. My goal here today is not to try to encourage a few people to donate large sums of money. I want to see as many of my listeners as possible just donate something ... $25. $10. Can you spare just $25 for every health child in your household? The cost of a lunch. Just something. Just get out a credit card and click on this link. The money will be well spent on providing care for these special little children, and on research to fight childhood cancer. Thanks.

Also, in the 10am hour ET, we'll be auctioning off the painting Steve Penley did for the Atlanta Tea Party poster earlier this year.

WHO DIDN'T PREDICT THIS YESTERDAY?

The Democrats certainly aren't going to let the death of their liberal lion pass without figuring out some way to take advantage. We heard the first rumblings yesterday - today it will be come a roar. The Democrat takeover of all health care must be accomplished if for no other reason than to honor Ted Kennedy.

Is there anyone out there who really believes that if ObamaCare were the reality today that Kennedy would have been in any way affected. Do you think that the same government guidelines about palliative care and hospice would have been imposed on Kennedy? Do you think his choice of doctors would have been limited? Would he have been prevented from using his personal fortune to seek out and pay for the best medical care available? Come on, you know what the realty for Kennedy would have been --- and it would have been very much different than any reality you will face when the government gets control.

That's the word, folks. CONTROL. Somehow the American people have to put their ideologies aside and understand that this IS NOT about the quality and availability of health care. It is about CONTROLLING health care. The Democrats vowed when they lost the Congress in 1994 that this would never happen to them again. What we're seeing here is the Democrats insuring that lightning doesn't strike twice. They need control over the voters. They need something to wave in the face of voters on Election Day that will frighten them into keeping Democrats in power. For years Democrats have had Social Security. Every time an election would roll around the Democrats would tell their voters that the evil Republicans wanted to take their Social Security away. Older voters were frightened into voting Democrat. Times are a bit different right now. More and more people realize - and have realized for years - that Social Security is a fraud and it probably won't be around for them when they retire. So ... they've made other plans.

The old "Republicans will take your Social Security away" ploy isn't working all that well any more. People have figured it out. The Republicans had control of the congress and the White House for quite a few years and Social Security wasn't touched. So ... clearly something new is needed. That's where ObamaCare comes in. The Democrats don't (yet) have control over your retirement, so how about control over your health care? That, my friends, is a life-and-death type of control. Strong stuff. And the Democrats know that once the American people are completely dependent on government for their health care they will be easily led. Health care is the ring the Democrats want to put through your nose. They'll hold the rope. When they yank, you follow -- right to the polls. The old "The Republicans want to take your Social Security away" ploy will be replaced with "The Republicans want to take your health care away." There you go .. guaranteed looter majority for generations to come.

Last week the looters were trying (with limited success) to make a big story out of Tom Ridge's assertion that George Bush tried to gain political advantage by raising the terror alert level before 2004 and 2006 elections. Someone explain to me how using the death of Ted Kennedy to stir up the emotions of the American people so that they can nationalize health care is all that different

GLOBAL WARMING ON TRIAL

It has been a while since we have had any global warming in the news. But don't worry ... that debate is coming next, right after the Democrats finish with their government healthcare. Once they succeed in taking over 17% of the economy, then it is on to cap-and-trade, increasing taxes, crushing economic prosperity and whatever else they can do keep you suckling on the government teat.

So back to global warming ... the US Chamber of Commerce wants to put the science of global warming on trial. They want the EPA to hold a public hearing on the scientific evidence for man-made global warming. This is great! I love it! Businesses know how devastating this Waxman-Markey cap-and-trade bill will be. So before they let the Democrats get any further, they want to put the science on trial. Prove that this global warming is real and that your bill will do something to change it.

The fact of the matter is that this will never, ever happen. Why is that? Simple. Because the Democrats know that they will lose. They know that they have based their cap-and-tax schemes on a completely fraudulent cause that has nothing to do with the environment. They won't go on trial because it would be so embarrassing to see them try and defend something they can't prove.

Not only that, but the EPA, especially under a Democrat president, would never allow something like this to come to pass. A public hearing on the scientific evidence for man-made global warming?? Are you kidding me? But when the EPA denies the request (notice I said "when" not "if), the Chamber plans to fight it out in federal court.

The Chamber of Commerce says that this would be "the Scopes monkey trial of the 21st century ... and a judge who would rule, essentially, on whether humans are warming the planet to dangerous effect."

People who purchased cars recently under this cash for clunkers program may find out a little something they weren't expecting: that $4,500 rebate from the government taxpayers is taxable.

Not only are you taxed once, but this blogger points out that depending on which state you live in, you could be taxed twice on clunker rebates. "Specifically, you pay sales tax on the full vehicle price (effectively paying sales tax on the $4,500!) and what's worse those states that tax income (that would be most of them!) might wind up counting this as income for state income tax purposes too, effectively taxing you twice."

Even when the government tries to kiss you, it is just a prelude to a good screwing.

FOCUS GROUPS ARE FAILING OBAMA

President Obama and the Democrats truly seem dumbfounded by America's response to their healthcare reform plans. Maybe this has something to do with it. Polling, studies and focus groups have been working for years to come up with precise language that would win over voters on the issue of healthcare. We are talking as far back as 2005, the Herndon Alliance met with the AARP, Service Employees International Union, the American Cancer Society and the liberal health-policy group Families USA in order to figure out how liberals could change the language of the healthcare debate.

This is why Barack Obama changed his rhetoric to "health insurance reform" rather than "healthcare reform." This is why he says phrases like " the mandatory purchase of health insurance would 'be affordable, based on a sliding scale.'" This phrasing "precisely mirrored language that had been poll-tested and put before batteries of focus groups by Democratic consultants over the past few years," according to the Wall Street Journal. "The words had been carefully chosen in an effort to take away the rhetorical targets of health-overhaul foes and replace them with terminology that would bring ordinary Americans on board."

So what happened? You happened. You, the American people, decided to wake up see right through the focus group rhetoric and transparent phrases. The Democrats have been working on this moment for years ... and they are losing the battle. I love it.

LET THE CLOWN SHOW BEGIN

Do you remember when the Congress called all of the evil executives of oil companies to Capitol Hill to testify about their profits? And remember last summer when the auto executives rolled into Washington to beg for a bailout? Or how about the executives of financial firms that were called to testify about what happened on Wall Street?

Well the parade continues. Next up to the Hill are the chief executives of ... you guessed it ... the health insurance companies. They have been called to testify before a congressional hearing about "the nature, cost/benefit, and impact of administrative measures and protocols used by the health insurance industry to determine coverage." The request came in the form of a letter from Rep. Dennis Kucinich. The date is set for September 17th.

That outta be fun to watch.

Victor Davis Hanson explains Barack Obama's over-arching agenda: wealth redistribution.

Naturally, Nancy Pelosi jumps on the bandwagon of "we will pass healthcare reform to see through Ted Kennedy's dream."

The courts have ruled that the Federal Reserve must for the first time identify the companies in its emergency lending programs.

Hospitals stand to gain $16 billion from Barack Obama's healthcare reform plans in reimbursements for the newly insured.

Who is going to take over the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, which has jurisdiction over healthcare reform, now that Ted Kennedy is no longer in power?

Our newest FCC 'Diversity' Chief was inspired by none other than Saul Alinsky. No, this is not a good thing.

This is how government distributes stimulus money. Don't worry ... it will be the same way with healthcare.

With changes to the power structure in Senate committees, could the political winds shift back to Wall Street? Here's how.

The Democrats will assure you that Obamacare will NOT cover illegal immigrants. But are you sure they are telling the truth?

There is one industry right now where business is booming and bonuses are being paid: the government.

I would like someone to call the show today and explain to me how Barack Obama's economic stimulus is working. Good luck with that one.

... and the winner is ... Senator Robert Byrd, who was the first politician(that we know of) to call for the renaming of the healthcare reform bill after Ted Kennedy.

Michelle Malkin has more on how your tax dollars are funding the enterprises of "bank terrorists."

According to Keith Olbermann, people who watch Fox News are "tin foil hatters, conspiracy theorists, paranoids and racists."
